Alright, welcome to this new project of mine. I have been working on the premise for some time and as of this chapter being posted, I've completed the broad stroke plans for the first 4 chapters. Part of why I wanted to write this was due to all the great fan-art of nurse Midoriya I've seen all over the place which made me want to read a story where he(or she) is a nurse, regardless of their working for the heroes or villains but to my dismay, I could only find one where Midoriya is the personal attendant to AFO but it was short, like less than 5K words and to add to that sadness, the author spread those less than 5K words over four chapters. So, with that in mind, I decided that I'll be the first to write a story about such. Because of that, and other choices Midoriya will make in this story, expect things to be very different to cannon.

Chapter 1: I'll save people…even if not as a hero.

"Bakugo, you…you have to stop. He's already crying." A soft, scared voice said as a little girl with the messiest green hair you're ever seen, barely held into pigtails with two All Might-themed hair scrunchies. Behind the girl in the red shoes lay a boy her age on his knees in tears. "And if you don't…if you don't, I'll stop you." She loudly proclaimed, putting as much force as she could into her voice as the three boys she was talking to just looked on in surprise, but that surprise faded pretty quickly.

Of the three boys in front of her, the clear leader of the group shook his head as if this wasn't the first time this had happened. "Really, Deku? How many times do I gotta tell you, it's stupid to try and play hero with no quirk?" He asked the girl, who only recoiled at the mean nickname but didn't back down, so they decided to act as the larger, more… well-fed boy grew red demon-like wings and started to float off the ground while the skinner boy let his fingers grow to unnatural lengths while Bakugo started lighting up small crackles in his hand.

"So I'll just show you!" He yelled as the three boys charged her and starting beating on her, despite her futile attempts to defend herself with resulted in her pretty quickly just staying down and protecting her head as she curled up into a ball. As the three boys beat on her, the original target had long fled, not that any of them noticed. However, unknown to the children, while they are 'roughhousing' in the park, someone was watching them from the window of his apartment. His frown speaking volumes as he dismissed what he was seeing and closed the blinds.

'Kids, as cruel as ever. Just a bunch of annoying brats.' The unseen spectator thought to himself as he went back to his affairs. Sometime later, the three boys got bored of beating on the girl and started to leave.

"Next time remember that I'm the only one that will surpass All Might, you got it, Deku?" Bakugo yelled at the girl on the floor as they all left her.

All men are not created equal.

'At least the other kid got away, I was able to help…right?' Meanwhile, with the girl, she was covered in cuts and some bruises as she laid on her back, looking up at the sky as the hot summer sun bared down on her, she paid her surroundings a glance and noted that she was at least able to do what she set out to do.

That was the reality I learned about society at the young age of four, one that I never was allowed to forget even by the age of seven.

As she laid there, she wondered to herself what she was doing, what her goal from that was, and more importantly, why those other boys have to be mean when they had power. 'Why does he have to be so mean? He has a cool quick but all he does is pick on the other kids and make them cry.' She wondered to herself, close to tears as this hadn't been the first, second, or even eleventh time she had gotten in the way of her…friend(?) when he was picking on others, but no matter what she did, it never seemed to amount to much. "Why don't I get a quirk too?" She asked herself as she started to cry as she tried to wipe her tears away. From that point, she didn't know long much time had gone by since she started to let her frustrations out, it could have been a few minutes it could have been an eternity.

All she did know was that while she sat there and cried, someone walked by and seeing her, decided to act. She looked up when she felt that the sun was no longer on her, only to see this large, imposing elder looking down at her as if she had just insulted him which made her flinch out of fear. The man in question was the one that had seen the start of her beating from her 'friends' and was no on his way into town. He was just about to reach the bus stop when he spotted her and moved.

"You're still here? You look like the most miserable, pathetic girl in the whole world." He spoke, not hiding his annoyance as the girl just looked at him in fear and slight irritation as he wasn't the first person to call her that. But he was the first to move on that as he stepped forward and grabbed her, despite her efforts to get away from him. It's whiny moppets like you that I can't stand." He told her as he picked her up and started walking back towards his apparent.

But it was because of that cruel life

"Hey, let me go, let me go! Stranger danger, stranger danger!" The girl cried out as she tried to get out of his grip but between her small child body being weaker compared to his and the beating she had just got, she didn't have a chance to escape no matter how much she wiggled around trying to get loose.

"Can it, you twerp, we gotta look at those cuts of yours before you weak little body up and decides to get an infection." The man told her, but she didn't seem to care as she just stuck her tongue at him.

"No! Only momma is allowed to kiss the pain away!" The girl's childish response made him want to smack her over the head. Though he did note that he should put in a complaint to the local police as somebody should have moved on them to ask why he was taking a little girl that wasn't his family against her will.

"You dunce, I'm not going to kiss anything, I'm going to treat the cuts like a normal person." He told her as they crossed the street as they made it back to his apartment complex, which also happened to be hers which as the comment about her mother, caused her to pause for a moment

"Momma is normal." The little girl pouted, too tired and sore to put up much of a fight.

"Jeez, I'm starting to regret this being my good deed for the day." The old man muttered to himself as he was considering just leaving her at her apartment and being done with it, but for reasons close to home, he didn't as he continued with getting her to get cleaned up which would be a start to something.

That I met the man that would my master.

And from that day on, My quirklessness was to be the first and only setback I ever let bring me down.

Years later, once more on a clear blue day, that girl was rushing down the busy street, she was much older now, being in junior high as she moved with a clear purpose, avoiding both signs and people even with the big heavy yellow bag plus toolbox attachment on her back.

'I have to hurry or I'm going to miss it.' She thought to herself as she reached a crosswalk and waited for the right of way, but she didn't stop moving as she kept her legs moving, her green hair as wild as it had been in her grade school days, only know it was longer, it would reach down her back in a shaggy mane but she had tied her hair up into a messy top bun much like her mothers. As the way was given, she was off as she ran along with her consistency breaking red shoes not fitting with her sailor-style school uniform.

She ran for another couple blocks before she reached where she wanted to do, which was the sight of a massive fight between a criminal the size of a building and local law enforcement but where others would be running from such, she along with the rest of the crowd had long since gotten used to such and were drawn to them like spectacles. "Wow, that's a big one!" She heard someone in the crowd call out as the police quartered off the area to prevent people from getting too close. She didn't mind as she had already gotten out her trusty notebook and was prepared to record the action.

She didn't need to wait that long for the action to start as when a piece of the nearly fell into the watching crowd, someone rushed forward and caught it, revealing himself to be the local hero, Death Arms, as he did this, another local hero by the name of Backdraft joined in to assist the police in keeping the people back while they worked. However, while everyone was admiring the heroes for their quirks, she was analyzing them, watching them and how their quirks worked and how this could have affected their bodies. Her notebook was filled with info and clip-ins about the human body from the bones to nerve circuits. "Man, he lucked out with a quirk that turns him into a monster." She heard someone in the crowd say as they watched as the villain raged.

"What did he even do anyway?" Another person asked, which she would admit to being curious about as she wrote down possible theories on how a quick that acted as a super growth transformation and strength enhancer would have affected how his body handles hormones and possible drugs that he wouldn't be able to take as a consequence.

"Apparently, he stole some lady's purse and when he got cornered, this happened." Sadly for her, the villain in question was just some low-level thug, which she was happy about as it meant this wasn't anything major but it always pained her to see others use their gifts for such…underwhelming.

"Really? Man, that's so lame, a power like that and he's just a petty thief." She agreed with that statement as she moved through the crowd to get closer to the action. As she neared the front of the crowd, another pro made his way onto the scene whose arrival was announced by the cheers of several older girls in the crowd as Kamui Woods made his entrance and joined the fight to try and bring the villain down.

'I have to agree there, that's a real waste but it's his life. I wonder what his diet and exercise plan is like?' She muttered to herself as she jotted down her thoughts as fast as she could, the speed of which seeming to be the work of some kind of quirk as the man that found himself next to her wondering if the ink was even dry on the page before she turned it over and continued, sticky notes and other glued on extra pages sticking out of the college exercise book which looked like it had seen better days. Her notes on the Kamui being much too complex for him to understand as all he could pick out was that she was writing on his blood and what qualities it would need to have for him to use a wood-based quirk such as his in such a manner without issue.

"Kid, from the way you're speaking I can tell," The guy started, grabbing her attention as he pointed her at. "You want to be a hero, don't you?" His brash assessment sending blood to her face as her cheeks lit up but she didn't seem to mind as she responded to his statement with a smile that almost seemed to glow as she paused her notes.

"I love to help people, so I can't help but admire pros like them." She told him, before going back to her work as Kamui woods prepared to land the finishing blow but got interrupted by the arrival of Mt. Lady who stole the spotlight. Her arrival also got the girl to focus towards the heroine as her notes shifted from types of wood and nutrients towards how her body's muscles, bones, and ligaments have adapted so that she can still move relatively quickly without issue at that size, along with what types of chemicals her body naturally must produce to allow for such.

'What the…is she taking notes on their quirks, or writing them up a prescription?' The guy standing next to her wondered to himself as her notes seemed more complicated than anything he would expect some kid in junior high to be writing like they're going out of style. She even took the time to write out chemicals with their scientific formulas in brackets next to them while doing math on the side.

'Man…that was unexpected and kinda sad for Kamui Woods, he was doing most of the work but she got the final blow.' With the girl in question, she didn't seem to notice the attention on her as Mt. Lady shrunk down to normal size and helped the police get the villain prepped for transport. 'Still, the villain was handled without too much harm done to them, minimum damage and no injuries amongst the people watching. Fine work is fine work, I suppose.' She said to herself as it wasn't anything major, even if the pro in question was enjoying the spotlight a tad too much.

"Hey, wait a minute. You're still taking notes? The fighting's over, but that's just fine, I have a feeling you're a great hero if you keep that up." The ma next to her said as she gave her a thumbs-up which got her to smile once more, even if she had no plans to become a pro.

"Thanks for the compliment." She told him as she put her book back in her bag and rushed off as to not be late for school.

(Later – Aldera Junior High)

"Alright, you're all third years and have reached that time when you all have to start considering your futures beyond these walls." The teacher started as he faced his class full of young, and very bored-looking teenagers. He didn't blame them as it was nearing the end of the school day. The green-haired girl being the only one writing stuff down but one look would tell you she wasn't going through history-related stuff while another blonde boy was brazen enough to kick his feet up and looked to be asleep. "For that reason, I'm going to pass around these handouts where you'll fill in your plans, but I know you all better than that…" he started as he held up the before-mentioned forms but ten changed tune and tossed them into the air.

"You all want to enter the hero track, don't you?" He asked the class which all responded with the energy they didn't have before if by some order, all of them bare the two activated their quirks.

"Yeah!" The class cheered as they showed off what their unique powers was, from levitating objects, causing rock-like growths to appear on their body to one guy pulling his eyeballs out of their sockets. However, our green-haired girl didn't react at all since as soon as she realized that was happening, she had turned on her music so that she could listen to something as the class acted out. Her back was at her side on its side which made it easier to reach into the toolbox attachment she had added a couple of years back.

This time around, she had another notebook out, this one filled with diagrams, scale drawings, and mathematical equations with the center of it being the many…many drawings of prosthetics inside the book. From the simple stumps like one to more complex designs meant for purposes such as everyday life, sport, swimming, and there were even ones that seemed designed for mutants. "Tsugi hagi no kokoro wa fuantei, Arainagasa reta shoki shōdō o, Yobisamashite hashiridase." She sang along with the music as her wireless earbuds kept her in her world as she turned the page of the textbook in front of her to another section as she started looking over the notes she had made with it, adding on anything new and erasing older info she found to be false.

While the blond boy jumped into his desk and starting sprouting something(most likely as arrogant as hell), she didn't pay him any mind unlike the rest of their classmates who rose to the bait and starting yelling at him. No, she just kicked her legs back and forth under her desk as she hummed along with the music. "Once you've lost sight, It's left to fall apart." She smiled as she worked, completely mussing how the teacher said something that only seemed to stroke the already massive ego of the blonde while cowing everyone else. "When I stopped, Rusted chain has tangled me up, Tying my body onto the ground." She hummed, missing how everyone turned to her as the teacher said something else. She was only knocked out of this when she felt the boy behind her nudge her.

"Hmm?" She said as she looked up, seeing everyone looking at her like she just grew another head(which in this crazy world, it wouldn't be weird to see) as she pulled out one of the earbuds to hear the teacher, who now looked thoroughly annoyed.

"Now that you're with us again," He started, eyeing her as she blushed in embarrassment and removed her earbuds, and turned the music off. It wasn't her fault she did her best when listening to music. "I want to make sure I'm reading this right, you wish to try to enter Shiketsu High's Medical Track?" He asked her again, the shock of the reveal not having the same effect twice but this did explain why they all were looking at her funny(well, funnier than usual)

"That's right." She replied, sitting up straight with a bashful smile. At her confirmation of aiming for such a highly vaunted academy, the class broke out into laughter at the very notion.

"Haaa? Midoriya, no way!"

"As if they'll ever let some quirkless girl in, maybe she should go for the general studies track."

Midoriya took this all in without much of a reaction, aside from how her brow and mouth twitched, she didn't give the satisfaction of seeing her show more much this lack of faith hurt her. Bakugo seemed to be glaring at her with enough intensity that you would think he wanted her to burst into flames but she was never sure with him as he glared at everyone really, but she also knew that he hated her more than most for some unknown reason. Rather than cry like she used to, she rather stood up and challenge them all. "Hmmm? And just where do you all plan to go?" She asked the class in return, getting them to pause as none had any real answers, nothing like going to Shiketsu or UA.

She starred them down with as much confidence as she could muster, a hint of steel in her gaze even if she seemed like she didn't like this and when the class didn't answer her, with some choosing to try and switch things up so that they could go back to mocking her, she just sighed to herself and sat back down, closing the high school level mechanic's textbook in front of her. "Honestly, haven't you ever heard of aiming high, I trust in my skills, nothing more but it seems you all think so lowly of yourselves that you're rather try and make someone feel small so you feel big." She chastised them, revering it as some even looked away, ashamed that they didn't even bother to try and aim high as she glanced towards Bakugo whose own glare hadn't left her.

"Something that is becoming a kind of problem here." She said before turning back to her books and removing them from her desk and placing them on the floor, on her opposite side than the one where her bag was, though she had a feeling he wouldn't take that lying down and he didn't as he seemed to burst towards her desk.

"Dammit, Deku! When the fuck are you going to learn to stay on the damn sidelines?" Bakugo yelled at her, the teacher(or anyone else really) doing nothing to stop him as he rushed over to her, his open hand a sign of trouble but it was something she was prepared for as she kicked the desk up, blocking his vision of her which gave her time to reach for her took-box. In the moments that it took Bakugo to knock the desk aside(almost hitting another student with it), he didn't have time to see or react to the wrench she had and with the impressive force for a girl her size, she bashed it into the side of his head, knocking out and letting his momentum carry him forward as he crashed headfirst into the ball at the back of the class.

"I distinctly remember telling you, Bakugo," Midoriya started, not noticing or caring for the scared, surprised and slightly impressed looks her classmates were giving her as she put the took back into its box before closing it and securing the lock. Once that was done, she sat right back down, reaching for her books which she had moved out of the way as she reopened her notes and got back to it. "Not to talk to me anymore unless it to apologies."

"Midoriya, did you just hit him with a heavy tool?" Their teacher found his voice again as he tried to understand what the hell he had just seen.

"Yes I did, don't worry. My master was right with which tools to use and where to aim to do as little damage as possible, he'll have a headache and bruise for a while but nothing more." Sher told him, seemingly not bothered by the physical harm she had just done on their 'state pupil' as she knew that the teachers weren't eh most ethical, letting students like Bakugo run rampant. Bakugo himself will not try and report(or will anyone else) as Bakugo would have to admit to being beaten in that complaint and he was a ball of rage, explosions, and arrogance so he would sooner jump off the 'edge of the world' and everyone knew that.

(Later – The end of the school day)

Around 30 minutes later, after somebody carried off Bakugo to the nurse's office and the teacher handed out the forms, the bell had been rung and the students packed up their stuff as fast as possible to get out of there. Midoriya was one of the few remaining as she packed up her stuff while checking the news on her phone. "Oh, it didn't take too long for the earlier incident to be overtaken." She muttered to himself as she placed her textbook into her bag and zipped it up, as she threw her bag onto her back, she noted that there was a new fed which when she clicked on it, she saw something extremely unexpected. "All Might? What is he doing around?"

'If he's here, he must be chasing someone dangerous, but I have to get home and tend to the plants so no hero searching for me.' Midoriya thought to herself as she reached the main entrance and removed her school-approved flats and took out her red High-tops and put them on before leaving the school grounds. As she reached the main gates, she took a moment to pause as she wondered what she will listen to as she heads on home.

'No reason not to catch up on some notes.' She finally decided as she placed her earbuds in and went into her playlist where she had recorded a ton of audio recording from both herself and the internet, she found what she was looking for and selected one of the audio recordings of a professor explaining how and why modern prosthetics connected to nerves. As she walked on home, she decided to take a little shortcut to shave off a couple of minutes from her route. This was how she found herself going under an underpass that would normally not be on her route. She walked right on by a manhole whose cover moved as something pushed it out of the way.

"What's that smell?" She asked herself as she was just past the halfway point when this revolting smell hit her nose, so she turned around to try and see what it was, only to get the life scared out of her as she spotted this large, slime green life-form looking down on her. "A villain!?"

"A medium-sized invisibility cloak," The sludge villain noted aloud, which she didn't stick around for as she turned tail and rushed towards the light at the end. "And a fast one at that, you'll do great!" The villain laughed as he jumped towards her.

'Got to get away, get help!' With Midoriya, she was running as fast as she could away from the villain, her well-toned legs carrying her as fast as they could as she tried to escape, get the heroes there, and not get caught but that wasn't in the cards for her as she felt something wrap around her leg, which caused her to trip and fell headfirst into the pavement, knocking a couple of teeth loose as her bag flew off her back. In her daze, she was easy(well, easier) prey for the sludge villain to catch. "O-!" She found herself unable to speak as the sludge villain started trying to force himself down her throat via her mouth and nose, making it impossible to breathe.

"Don't worry, kid. I'm just going to borrow your body for a bit, you can have it back when I've done if you're still alive." The villain told her in a mockery of a soothing time as she fought as hard as she could to get loose, clawing and ripping at him with everything she could muster. "Oh, calm down, this will be over in around 45 seconds." That at the opposite effect as she started to panic as she knew nothing about this guy, for all she knew, he could just need to stay in contact with her for that long so in her frenzy, she found herself trying to breathe which allowed him more ground to work his way in while she started to feel the burning sensation from the lack of oxygen.

'I...can't breathe…I can feel him...working his way past my throat!" She thought to herself as hot tears started to gather in her eyes and pour down her face as she found herself being left as his sludge body started moving around her like some kind of sick…twisted blanket, leaving her to kick her legs about in futility.

"No point, kid. I'm liquid." The villain laughed at her as she couldn't do anything as whenever she grabbed onto a part of him, it just squeezed out of her hands whenever she tighter her grip. Her efforts starting to lose steam as she felt herself start to grow faint and tired, but more than that, despair as she didn't want to stop struggling, to stop fighting. "Thanks for the body though, you're my hero." Oh, how the irony of that statement wasn't lost on her even in her panicked, dazed mind.

'I have to escape somehow,' She found the strength to keep up conscious, lucid thought as she looked towards where her stuff had fallen. Oh, how she wished she had worn both straps to keep it secured to her back as she now could only reach out to it but never make contact. 'My tools, there're…too far…can't reach them…' She found herself slipping as her vision blurring as her strength left her in droves.

'This can't be how it ends. Am I…going to die with ever reaching my dream?' She wondered to herself, the realization that she will die without leaving her mark, without reaching her dream proving to feel more terrifying than she thought it would. She saw her life flashing in front of her which only caused her to cry some more as she didn't know what her mother would do, she hoped she could keep living and be happy.

'Mom, sensei…I'm sorry.' Just as she accepted her fate, a manhole cover flew off its edges, announcing the arrival of something which the sludge villain to turn around to see what the hell was happening, his eyes dilated in fear.

"Shit!" The villain cursed as the light caused a shadow to cover up the newcomer but anyone could have told you just who it was in front of her.

"It's alright, young lady," The wall of a man said as he revealed himself to be wearing only some cargo jeans and a white tee, but his iconic blonde hair and smile were enough to alert anyone to the fact this was All Might. "Because I am here!"

"Dammit, how'd you find me so quickly!" The villain didn't even bother trying to run as his first response was to fight, but this proved pointless as All Might easily dodged the attack as he closed the distance between them as if it was nothing, which for him, it might as well have been as he reared back a powerful fist.

"Texas…Smash! His attack didn't hit, but that wasn't the point as the wind generated from the blow was enough that he blasted the sludge villain apart, in turn freeing her from the villain's clutches. In her cloudy state of mind and oxygen-starved body, she couldn't react all that much but she did notice who was her apparent savior.

'All…Might…?" She wondered, her voice rough and jagged from the experience she just had as she passed out.

"Hey…hey!" She awoke to the feeling of someone…or something repeatedly tapping her cheek, it wasn't fast enough that she didn't think anybody without a speed quirk could do so but gently enough that it just felt weird, not painful. She opened her eyes and the first thing that came to mind was she needed to throw up."Than-!"

"Blauuuhhh!" And with that single objective, she threw up both the remains of the sludge's villain and whatever remained of her lunch, that vomit hitting the number one right on his white shirt as she turned over and threw up some more as the hero held her hair back as she flushed her system. Not reacting to how his shirt was in serious need of a wash.

"Wow, thought we got all that out." All Might said to himself, though she managed to hear it as she wiped her mouth clean, the burning taste of bile still on her tongue as looked up to him as the pro helped her to her feet. Once she was standing, it came crashing down on her what she had just done as she felt her soul leave her body.

"Oh my god! I threw up on the number 1! I'm sorry, what could I have been thinking! You're a national treasure and I had the gall to do such! Please hand out the appropriate punishment for it!" Midoriya started to hyperventilate and mutter up a storm about her actions, looking like a petrified rabbit but in response to this, All Might merely laughed as he quickly wiped the vomit off his shirt, leaving only the stain.

"Calm down, young lady. It was just your body flushing the system! Besides, it is I that should be apologizing, if I hadn't taken so long to catch him, you would have never been in danger like that." All Might told her, seemingly having no issue with her little accident as the girl in question remembered the why she passed out and started looking around, not seeing a crowd or the police which was odd for a villain attack, and a All Might sighting.

"The villain, where is he?" She asked him to which he pulled out two large soda bottles that he had gotten from the bag he had been using to carry his…groceries(she had to remember that even larger than life pros needed the essentials) and low and behold, in the two bottles, All Might had somehow managed to fit the sludge villain who was still out of it. She didn't even bother to question why he fit that entire person into two bottles, or how he got the eyes in with seemingly no issue, she was just happy to be alive.

"Right here! I couldn't have caught him without your help, so Thank you!" All Might told her with that signature laugh as his, though she picked up that it sounded…off somehow?

'Even with my vomit on his shirt, he still looks like a living god on earth! The tv doesn't do him justice,' But like with the other stuff, she could ignore that for now as her inner fangirl rose it's All Might themed head. She rushed over to her bag, nearly falling over from still being rather exhausted by the experience as she pulled out her notebook. "All Might would you please-It's already been signed!" Only to find that on the first free pages she could find, All Might had already sighed it, taking up both pages with his name along with a cartoony-looking drawing of his brow and eyes.

"Sorry if you wanted me to sign somewhere in particular, but I didn't want to mess with any of those well-organised and informative notes of yours, so I just looked for the first free papers while you were passed out." All Might complimented her, having skimmed her work and while he wasn't ashamed to admit that 90% flew over his head, he had known both Recovery girl, Nighteye and Nezu long enough to see genius when it was presented. That compliment sent the girl to cloud nine as she felt like the smart person alive with that, but he could feel himself nearing his limit.

"Okay, well I have to see this villain is handed over to the police, so farewell for now." All Might told her as he got ready to make the long jump towards the police station, it was faster than trying to run there and getting swamped by his fans.

"Wait, already?" Hearing this, Midoriya came out of her fan-girl-induced stupor as the pro nodded his head, but she noticed something on his lip, it was faint but she could make out the color crimson.

"Time is the one foe that pros are always fighting, so I really must be off." All Might replied as she stretched his legs a bit, giving her another chance to notice something off as when healthy people did stretches, it was one solid grunt they let out, but All Might wasn't doing that, it was like listening to him revving the engine, which told her he was having trouble taking full and clear breathes which set off sirens in her head.

"But-but you're hurt." She spoke up, her tone and stance were much timider than it was mere moments ago in fear of being told she was wrong. As she was looking at her feet, she didn't see how All Might froze at her words, resisting to urge to stare at her like she just told him what he had for breakfast, but she did pick up on how it struggled to grasp for air, even it was soft and hardly notable.

"Excuse me? I don't recall taking any hits from the villain, he didn't even have the chance." All Might said to try and play off her concerns without coming as rude, but this didn't seem to work as she shook her head as she got a little closer.

"B-But…I saw blood, on your lip." She told him, shit, it was time to go before she noticed anything else off.

"Gotta go, I counting on your continued support in the future." All Might got out before he took to the skies, having taken a massive jump which to most, made it look like it was flying.

"That was a close one." All Might said to himself as he was lucky that he had grabbed the plastic bag and placed the bottles in it, but for some reason, he felt slightly heavier than usual. "Wait a minute…" Which prompted him to look towards where he felt the unexpected drag and to his shock, the girl was latching onto his left with all her strength, her face doing the same thing a dog does when it stuck its head out the moving car's window but much worse as he was going a lot faster.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! I appreciate my fans but this is passion is a few steps too far!" All Might said as she tried to(gently) get her to let go of him but she wasn't budging.

"If I…let go…I'll…die!" She managed to get out with the wind blowing her lips all over the place, which reminded him that not everyone could casually fall from this height with no sweat.

"Good point." He told her as she looked up to him again, doing her best to be understood with the wind and the raging fear coursing through her.

"I…just wat…to…but sure…that you're…okay!" Midoriya got out which the pro saw she was dead serious about, even if a little crazy so he had to compromise, at least for now.

"Okay, okay! Close your eyes while I look for a place to land!" All Might thought to himself as he felt his lip and sure enough, the blood was still there as he felt more leaking through his perfect smile.

'Dammit, I'm getting sloppy if some random person saw through me. Shit.' He thought to himself as he searched for a suitable landing site.

"Th-that was the scariest thing I've ever done…I think I just shaved off 20 years from my life." Once they(he) had found a spot, they can come down to an average-height office building in the middle of town. He then got the girl off him which took some prodding as it was like her body didn't know it was safe yet, but once it was, she fell but fall to the floor.

"You very well did, young lady. That was an extremely irresponsible stunt you pulled." All Might scolded her as he worked to keep himself in muscle form as he started walking towards the edge. "I'm sure if you knock on the door, someone will be up to let you down but I'll be sure to tell them you're up here." He told her, though she could have taken valuable time away from him, he wasn't so callous as to leave her without a way down, a quick message to whoever manned the front desk should be enough.

"But-!" Midoriya tried to get out but he cut her off.

"No time!" So she didn't give him the chance to as she gathered what little bravado and confidence she still had in her after that crazy experience and yelled as she could.

"You need to get looked up!" She told him, her brazen declaration getting him to pause long enough for her to say her piece, even if she was dead wrong, even if he called her a fool, she would never turn her back on someone on aid. "I heard you, it was faint…but it was there. Even when you jumped, as we went I could hear how irregular your breathing is." She told him, slowly walking towards the pro whose back was still turned to her.

'She picked on that? While in the air?' Which meant that she didn't how her observation caught the pro off guard.

"I just…" She started but paused as she never thought she would be in this position, but dammit she wasn't going to let her nerves get the best of her. "I just couldn't stand by when someone is in pain, I had to make sure you're okay!" she told him, her resolve as hard as a rock and clear as day for the pro to pick up. However, before he could say anything in response, he felt his limit being reached as he felt the pain that normally came along with coming in like a freight train.

"Oh man, holy shit, I forgot that I'm on the clock." He said as he tried his best to make this last just a little more but Midoriya was already privy to it as she saw literal steam float off of All Might, which along with everything else, nearly put her to sleep just from the shock as it took mere moments for the towering wall of muscle known as All Might to turn into…the opposite, a frail, shorter man who looked like he hadn't worked out a day in his life and had skipped the last 3 weeks' worth of meals.

"What the…" Midoriya started as her mind hadn't comprehended what she was looking at, with 'All Might' not offering any solutions which meant her mind jumped to other conclusions. "Huh!" She yelled as she jumped back for her safety. You-you-you deflated!" She yelled, pointing at him while gesturing with her hands that he was like a living balloon, one that had just lost all its air. "A fake? IS that your quirk? Some kind of impersonation? I'm calling the police!" She yelled as she whipped out her phone, this was what proved adequate to get the 'fake' All Might to try and calm her down.

"Calm down, young lady. I can assure you that I am All Migh-BLAAA!" He started but found himself interrupted when his blood leaked out of his mouth as if it was some kind of horror-themed water feature.

"Oh my god, oh my god! You just threw up blood!" Midoriya yelled out, but rather than just point and panic like she had been up until now, this time she acted as she rushed to his side and gently as she could, got him to sit down as she started looking over her.

"Please sit down, I need to check on you. Do you have a punctured lung? Is that why you're breathing funny? Are you terminal ill? That would explain the extremely skinny state you're in, but maybe you don't eat a lot. Either way, I need…" She went on as she got softer and softer till she was murmuring under her breathe as to what his symptoms could mean and how she could treat it until the proper METs could arrive. All Might on his part…didn't really know how to react as he wasn't used to needing saving, nor people just doing something like this.

"This…is unexpected..." He said to himself as she felt his forehead and asked him about how he felt and if he could describe but breathing felt like and if he had any medications she should aware of. Honestly, this reminded him of someone else. 'She acts like Recovery Girl but without the threats of violence.' That part he liked as he always managed to anger the old healer in some form which normally ended with a lecture, being smacked with her cane, or both.

"Young lady, I can assure you I don't do drugs, nor do I take medications and I eat as much as I can." All Might replied to her question and to get her to calm down and focus on him.

"Then what about the blood thing and the whole….deflating bit?" Midoriya asked, having taken a moment or two to think about the best way to refer to his transformation from buff to…this.

"You know those guys at the pool that suck in their guts and then flex and posture? It's like that." He told her, using the best explanation he could think of, which he saw immediately wasn't going to fly as he looked at him like he just said he got his power from eating spinach.

"Tha-that doesn't even make any sense! Is that part of your quirk? A super buff or something?" Midoriya asked him, having stopped treating him like a patient but still staying close in case he needed her.

"I suppose that's one way to look at it, as for the other part." He decided to go with that but then to also change the subject as he had a feeling she had a whole lot of questions. Something he could pick up when he lifted his shirt and showed the wound he had on him which got her to gasp out in shock and nearly avert her eyes to look elsewhere. "Yeah, don't worry I know. Not a pretty sight, isn't it?" He asked her, he was used to the looks of people who happened to see it.

"A villain did this to me around 5 years ago. Had to say goodbye to my left lung, along with my entire stomach. All the surgeries and aftereffects were what lead me to look like this, a shell of what I once was." All Might told her, getting into the thick of it as he always felt…cheated when he looked in the mirror. Like he had made a deal with the devil as while he was alive, it was in a much lower capacity than what he was once capable of.

"I'm telling this because you seem to be just concerned for my health, but I ask that you don't go talking about this to your friends and family, or post about it." He asked her, when he got the nod from her, he took a sigh of relief.

"But how is that even possible? I've heard of mutant-type quirks altering the body to not need certain organs as much, but an entire stomach? How do you even eat anything? How do you even begin to do hero work?" She asked him, reaching towards her hand but flinching back at the last moment. He had to hand it to her, she was smart and asked all the reasonable questions that he recalled his old sidekick asking him when he was told of the damage done. "And why wouldn't you have just gotten some transplants? I'm sure there are donor stomachs out there."

"Good question. The answer is regular injections with nutrient rick fluids directly into the bloodstream. With the second question, is that I simply can't handle that much hero work anymore. At present, I can only be active for around 3 hours a day." He revealed to her, watching as her eyes went wide as dinner plates and he couldn't fault her. he was a mess in the beginning when he was told he would have to limit his hero work to just around 6 hours a day, then 5, then 4 and now…3. The fact he couldn't enjoy most of the food he loved as hard enough as he lacked a crucial part for digestion but being told clear as the day his hero days were numbered got to him.

The only good thing about that was the fact he had been able to bring justice upon the head of that vile demon and make sure he didn't harm another soul again.

"As for the transplants…. turned those down." He told her as he leaned onto the railing behind him, taking in the rather chilled but pleasant breeze.

"What? Why?" Midoriya asked him, dumbfounded that he would turn down such as sure stomachs were something of a rarity, but she was sure someone of his status wouldn't have to look hard to find one that could prove compatible for his body. Seeing her confusion, he decided to explain it to her as he had a feeling she was going where he thought she was.

"Because those organs could serve someone else a lot better than me. Have you seen the waiting lists? Some folks have been on them for years and I'm not foolish enough to think that I wouldn't get preferential treatment." All Might told her as he may have missed what he had lost, but he been a pro to save people, cutting in line for his own sake just didn't feel right, even if the argument could be made that his life meant many more as he was the number one, such cold and logical reasoning went against his core nature.

"Oh...but still…there has to be something that can be done…" Seeing that he was right, and how even she thought he could just get to Tokyo General and have his name bumped up the list made her feel ashamed of herself, something he got rid of when he gave a quick head pat and an understanding look to which she settled down next to him.

"Truthfully, the only thing the doctors could recommend is retirement." All Might told her as he recalled how his allies…didn't like his choice to keep working in his state, and how that lead to Nighteye telling him something about his future he had gone against his wishes to learn. He wondered how the man was doing these days, according to the news and Hero Network, he was quite the busy bee but he had always been the stoic worker.

"Then why don't you? This is your health we're talking about!" Midoriya asked him. She didn't want All Might to have to die, not after everything he had done for the people, someone like him deserved a retirement which lasted till he was old and grey, in some meadow with no issues or worries to plague him.

"All Might is someone that saves people with a smile on his face, and never wavers in his resolve. The symbol of peace cannot be daunted by evil. That resolve is the pressure of heroes." He replied something he didn't really think about in his youth, when he first came up with the idea of a symbol is what happens when that symbol grows old and is exhausted. Midoriya leaned into him and took one of his hands into her own, even in this state, his bony hand was larger than her own by quite a margin, but she could feel that she had more strength in hers than he had in his.

"But at what cost? I don't want to know what All Might wants to do, I want to know what skinny, blood spitty guy wants. You may be All Might…but you're not alone." She told him, making him chuckle as the fact she parroted what Recovery girl tells him all the time, if he didn't know any better, he would think the two related.

"Skinny, blood spitty guy?" He repeated, getting a response in the form of the girl's face going red from the embarrassment.

"S-sh-keep quiet, I don't know your name and I'm not too…creative." Midoriya told him as she looked away, this wasn't the first time her rather uncreative mind had failed her. she couldn't understand how she could be so quick on her feet when it comes to planning but when it comes to names, she was clueless.

"All Might is the number one, he has helped a lot of people and inspired many more," She went on, not really looking at him as she looked towards the city, but then turned her gaze towards him, the breeze picking up a bit and messing with her hair which had fallen out of the bun she had put it into and was now flowing freely. "But your hurt, isn't it time to pass on the torch?" She asked him, her choice in wording catching off guard once more.

SPLAAA!

"Oh my god, it's happening again! I knew I messed up, I'm so sorry!" Midoriya rambled on like a rabbit once more as All Might took a tissue from his pocket to wipe away his blood as he should really just start expecting the unexpected from this girl.

"No, no, it wasn't you." He said to calm her down as he thought of a way to explain why he did what he did without giving away too much. "Just something a reflex to memory is all. Anywho, I have a question of my own, why did you grab onto me like that?" He asked her to change things up. At her question, the girl took a moment to think about it was she liked to think of herself as someone that looked before she leaped, she had to when she didn't have some unique ability to rely on, but this time around she had acted without any thought in mind.

"I don't know myself…my body…just moved on its own." Was the best answer she could give, but while she pondered her actions, her choice in answer grabbed All Might's attention as he rarely ever hard such, and when he did, it was from well-respected heroes.

'Could she be the one?' He asked himself, he had come to town for a job that would help in his search but it looks like he had possibly struck gold. "You say that your body just moved, without a thought?" He asked her to sure, and by this time, she had found her answer.

"Yeah…I've always wanted to help people, even if I…didn't have a quirk, but!" She told him, getting him more invested as he had no idea she didn't have a quirk, but it didn't look as if that was going to stop her. "I found my way to save people…even if not as a pro hero, like you." She told him, which he found to be extremely commendable.

"By becoming…a doctor?" He asked as this entire time he got vibes off the girl that reminded him of the elder he regularly visited for check-ups, only for the girl to shake her head in denial.

"No silly, by becoming a combat nurse. I may not have the power to fight villains, but I can use what my old, grumpy sensei has taught me to save as many lives as I can." She told him, surprising him yet again as he hadn't heard much about that profession, and in all honesty, he hadn't had the time to get to know any of them.

'Such a shame, I can see the look in her eyes, she has a fire to her and I doubt I could convince her to try for the hero course otherwise, still, it such a nice feeling to see people like her still exist.' All Might thought to himself as she appeared to be the perfect candidate, but alas, her heart was set on another goal and who was he to try and change her to suit his wants? No, he would just need to keep on looking.

"Do you perhaps intend to attend UA?" He asked her as the two settled into this little spot where they just talked, neither realizing how bizarre this was for the other as they were just treating them like normal people.

"Oh no, they don't have a nurse program, so I'm heading to Shiketsu." Midoriya told him, smiling as she recalled all the info she had found about the school and the mock exams she took which she aced.

"Still, you could always study under Recovery girl." All Might suggested to which she agreed with him but had to turn that down.

"Yeah, but it wouldn't help much as at best, I'll be her apprentice and still be forced into another course like general. Shiketsu as the best nurse program in the country, it would be foolish to try for anything else." She told him as the two of them spent the next hour just discussing whatever came to mind from the weather to any new music that had been released, non-hero-related news, and even nature such as which flowers they liked, where they would like to travel, etc.

In one timeline, this would be the day that All Might would both shatter Midoriya's dreams, before giving them the hope they desperately wished for before naming them his successor. But this isn't that timeline, because she already had her hope and she had a different dream.

And that is that for the first chapter. This is a new thing since I've seen no other stories with Midoriya as a nurse or doctor, well there is the one but it's just the one that is telling. Now, as you all just read, Midoriya in this timeline is a girl. With her shoes, I couldn't find which type of shoes they are and don't sue me for getting this wrong, but I just decided to call say they're high-tops. Her first meeting with that old man is styled off the one Paninya first met Dominic LeCoulte in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I'll be using some of Winry's traits to style Izuku which is the reason she knocked out Bakugo with the same took Winry liked to use to beat Edward with whenever he messed up her work.

I also wanted to show that while she's more confident than her canon counterpart at this point was, she still has her issues which she just handles better. Such as she didn't rip into her class but rather scolded them for not aiming high in life, kinda like any parent but without the slight but devastating self-esteeming crushing comments about not being a doctor or engineer(Anyone who had these kinds of parents can understand). Though she and Bakugo are not on good terms she tries to be as polite as she can with him because she's just a little cinnamon roll. The stunt with her knowing he was going to attack fits something who has known him for years and the fact that she could get away with said counter is more criticism on the school.

Anyway, if you have any suggestions or critiques that you want to let me know of, feel free to leave a review with them, or PM me.
