Elysium Asylum

Ch.1: Trouble with Paradise

Today was a strange day for 1-A, not just because their teacher has not given them a pop quiz after going over five chapters in their textbooks, but also because of the sudden news they got from him. All the students honestly couldn't believe their ears the first time they heard it and had to do a double take, making them forget. Thus leading Aizawa to get angry at them for seemingly not paying attention.

Fully irritated by this, Aizawa activated his quirk as he asked with held back anger in his tone, "Did the 20 of you not hear a single thing I said?!"

Initially freaked out and unable to immediately reply, the students were frozen stiff with their tongues in their throats. Aizawa grew more annoyed by the lack of a response, indicating to him that his question was justifiably correct.

Until Izuku piped up and stammered out on behalf of everyone, "I-It's not that sensei! W-We just couldn't believe it. This isn't a prank, right?"

Aizawa deactivated his quirk and shot back with his usual bored yet serious tone, "When have I ever made jokes, especially about something so serious?"
"Good point.", Izuku agreed with him.

"Do I need to repeat myself, again?!", Aizawa asked once again while pinching the bridge of his nose. None of the students said anything but silently nodded. Izawa let out an exasperated sigh and mother to himself before saying, "kids…..Okay listen close, I'm not gonna repeat myself a third time!", the students straightened up more in their seats at their teacher's furiously firm tone and nodded as they glue their eyes to him. Is out a calming breath and repeated, "The Police and Heroes have recently apprehended a secret organization doing illegal quirk experimentation on minors. They weren't able to catch all the people responsible, but they were able to secure several of the 'experiments', for lack of better terms."

Momo raised a hand and after being called on, she asked, "Sensei, what exactly were they doing to those kids?"

"In laments terms, nothing short of torture. But for those of you who are more brainy…..it was Q.E.B.S.", Aizawa explained briefly.

A few of the smarter students all gasped in the horror at this, leaving the rest of the class both concerned and confused.

"What's Q.E.B.S?", Kaminari asked what the rest of them were thinking.

"Quirk Evolution Based Stress. It's basically when a person is put through enough harmful and stressful stimuli that their quirks evolve as a countermeasure. Though it's not readily reliable, many have died through these experiments and so they were deemed immoral and illegal.", Mineta explained to him and the rest of the class, leading them to gain expression of pale surprise just as bad as the others who knew.

"That's sickening!", Jiro said while putting her hand across her mouth.

"I get wanting to get stronger, faster, but that's just not right.", Sato comments with a shiver.

At this, the whole class breaks out into a storm of murmuring comments until Aizawa quickly puts a stop to it.

"IF you're all done?!", he firmly commands as the class grows dead quiet. Once the room is his again, he continues saying, "Now then, after being secured, the victims were placed into a special facility to rehabilitate them from their traumatic experience. But things aren't looking good for them."

"How so?", Mina asks.

"In short, the victims were experimented on and tortured by adults, with all the staff being adults, few are readily trusted and many have been injured or killed by them. That's where you come in.", Aizawa tells them before pointing to the class.

Unfortunately, he was also pointing at Ojiro, who took it out of context and nervously asked while pointing to himself, "Me?"

Aizawa slaps his face again while signing angrily, then explains more thoroughly, "I meant all of you. Since the victims are only trusting one another, it only stands to reason that they only trust people in their age group. Since all of them are between the ages of 13 to 17, they're perfectly suited to you all."

"So does this mean we're being forced to do this?", Tsuyu asks the most important question, sensing a trend.

Aizawa shakes his head and assures them, "Not at all. This is a completely voluntary action. If you don't want to, you don't have to. We, along with several other schools have been asked to participate in this."

"That's a relief.", Toru says with a sigh.

"However.", Aizawa interjects, making everyone tense up. "As an incentive, volunteering time here will add massive credit to your overall scores and aptitude rating for other heroes and their agencies to see.", he tells them while taking a few sheets of paper from his scarf.

"How much credit?", Iida inquiries.

With the clipped paper in hand, he flings it toward the boy, who manages to catch it in a slight fumble. Once in hand he adjusts his glasses and reads them over silently. It takes him a few minutes but his sudden shirt in body language tells all!

Quickly his eyes widen and he proclaims loudly, "WOW!", this makes practically every jump in their seats at his unusual reaction! Once Iida centers himself and fixes his crooked glasses he says aloud, "That's a good incentive."

"But what about classes?", Uraraka asks after things settle down.

This was followed by Bakugou who smartly asked, "And why should we bother? Heroes don't help the criminally insane, they take them down and lock them up! Isn't the looney bin supposed to be filled with people who know what the hell they're doing with the wackos?"

To this, Aizawa answered both questions at once, first saying, "They have an onsite facility that will be used as both staff housing and your classroom. All classes with teachers within UA will be done through a video call. As for your previous statement Bakugou, it is truly something like this should be handled by professionals, but the professionals are being injured or killed and not many want to come back or are willing to aid. That's why they're asking for our assistance. Being the same age, they shouldn't attempt to harm any of you in theory."

"And if that theory doesn't hold water?", Shoji asks with an unsure and jittery tone.

Aizawa, who was also sharing their sentiment, rubs his head and tells them, "There at their wits ends here, they have few options left and have practically begged for our cooperation. Also a hero's duty, and in fact, the term 'hero' is not only very loose but also very varied. A hero isn't someone who punches the villain, saves the day, and gets the glory.", the start of his speech garners their attention and they practically lean in to hear him closer. "A hero is someone willing to go above and beyond the normal call of a morally outstanding citizen and help those in dire need, even if that thing happens to be outside of their predetermined parameter. A hero is someone willing to give all they have to help, from the smallest act to the greatest feat.", he takes a breath before saying with the most gusto they've heard come from him, "And that's what this is. So see it for what it truly is, to a hero."

The students were all in shock at his speech! Not just because of the weight and truth it held, but also because it came out of this man! The students felt their original fears and anxiety melt away as they felt determination and duty bubble up. They all felt like they could do this!

Then Aizawa glanced at the clock, picked up his sleeping sack, and headed to the door while telling them, "You all have till the end of this week to make your decisions. I expect a definite answer by then."

The Next Week

The day of their new adventure came by quicker than they expected, which was somewhat surprising. Even more so when all of them found out that all of them agreed to this! So they donned their hero outfits and were placed on a bus headed into the city. Even Shinso decided to tag along since the plea for help was extended to any and every class they had. And he was the only one to accept. After a short 30-minute drive, they had arrived, and the place they saw sprawled out before them was not what they expected.

It didn't look like a place for healing, not even a hospital, and especially not someplace you put kids in. It looked like one of those prison camps you see in old movies that are stationed outside in the middle of deserts or a worn-down asylum at the edge of town. Huge guard towers with rotating lights, high fences with barbed wire at the tops, highest security entry point, and the building within wasn't shaped to be inviting. If that wasn't bad enough, the whole place was painted white, not a bad but certainly not a good color.

Once the students got off they all started making individual comments about the facility from outside, within the high walled fence.

Minutes being the first and worriedly asking, "This is it?"

"Doesn't look like a place of healing if you ask me.", Jiro agreed with him, a shiver going up her spine.

"That's because it wasn't, in the beginning.", out spoke a new voice.

The students turned their heads to see a younger-looking man in his 30s approaching. He was tall with gray skin, white hair in an undercut, blue eyes, and two green flames dancing around his head. He wore business casual attire that consisted of all black from his shoes to his lapel. His blue eyes were kind but also held extreme tiredness and stress.

Aizawa approached the man and asked, "You must be Doctor Thanatos."
Doctor Thanatos smiled warmly through his tired and stressed exterior, holding out his hand as he replied, "And you must be Eraserhead, welcome to Elysium Asylum. It's nice to meet you, and thank you for volunteering to do this."

Aizawa shook his hand and apologetically asked, "I hope we're not late."

Thanatos shook his head and told them, "Not at all. You may be the last group to arrive but you're just on time."

From here he motioned a little ways away from them where they saw their sister class, 1-B, walking off towards another building that was connected to the facility. Some of the students saw each other and waved kindly in acknowledgment.

"Doctor Thanatos, was it?", Momo inquired while walking to the front of the group, to which the doctor turned and tilted his head. "What exactly did you mean by 'it wasn't in the beginning?", she asked about his choice of words.

A flush of realization and embarrassment, mixed with panic spread across his face as he explained in more detail, "Well, you see, this building's history has stretched back to pre-quirk history. In the beginning, it was a maximum prison facility, then a mental hospital, a children's hospital, an assisted living facility, and now it is being used to treat those children from their horrific experimentations."

"Okay, but why does it look like….that?", Kirishima asks while motioning to the building's extreme and obvious high-security measures.

Thanatos gave an inward sigh as he informed them, "It's actually for their safety. If they got out into society, especially with their extremely fragile mental states, they would end up causing mass havoc. It is also to keep anyone from getting in to cause said panic amongst them."

"So I'm guessing that the experimentations were successful?", Aizawa asks with a bit of hesitation in his throat.

Thanatos sadly nods and tells him, "Yes. Though I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. Either way, we're here to help these kids heal, and unfortunately you young heroes may be our only hope.", Thanatos sighs a bit louder and rubs his eyes as he asks the young heroes, "I'm sure you've heard what has happened to many of our staff due to their distrust of adults."

All the students nod to his question and Aizawa asks him, "Yes, but are you sure this idea will work?"

With a look of defeat and desperation in his eyes, he admits with a low-hung head, "We've run out of every other kind of option. It's this or…..termination."

Eraserhead's eyes widen at this and he immediately asks back with anxiety in his tone, "You haven't-?"

Realizing his lack of context present, Thanatos rapidly shakes his head and arms while exclaiming, "Oh god no! I would never dream of it!" "But the government sure seems to want that option. But it's just not possible, not just for moral reasons, but also…..some of them cant die."

All of the students were stunted in a gasped shock with eyes wide and jaws hanging out!

"Some of them have immortality?!", Izuku exclaimed what everyone else was thinking.

Thanatos rubbed his chin and deep in thought he seemed to draw back as he replied, "In a manner of speaking, yes. But that's unimportant. Please come with me to a branch facility to be briefed on everything you are needed to try and do while here, and what not to do. Also thank you for making any changes to your original costumes."

As the good doctor led them in the same direction as their sister class, Iida came up to the doctor and cordially asked him, "Doctor Thanatos, is that why you asked anyone with a long coat or white outfit to change it?"

The doctor nodded and explained, "Yes, it acts as a trigger to the other. Being surrounded by scientists all the time, it'll send them into a panic."
Momo looked off to the side, examining class 1-B, and noted aloud, "That explains why Shiozaki is wearing green instead of white, and why Monoma is in a regular suit instead of a twin tail coat."

"Besides U.A's 1-A and 1-B. Who else is here?", Aizawa prompted the doctor.
Thanatos sighed sadly and told him truthfully, "Not many I'm afraid, apart from you, we only have three others. One group of first years from your sister rival school Shiketsu, a small group of first years from Isamu, and a reasonably sized group of Second years from Ketsubtsu."

Tsuyu smiled and blushed happily upon hearing the second school's name. She hoped that amongst the group, she would see her old friend Mongoose.

Aizawa stopped dead in his tracks upon hearing that name. An act that Doctor Thanatos took note of and also stopped his walking cadence to look back at the stunned man. All of the students followed suit and stood back to watch the exchange between the two adults.

"I'm sorry, but did you say….Ketsubtsu?", Aizawa questioned him with an expression trying to hide the panic and disdain.

Thanatos, very troubled by his reaction, told him in a careful tone, "Yes. Is there a problem?"

Aizawa shuddered and told him, "In a way."
"Eraser!", called out a very familiar female voice.

"Oh god.", Aizawa shuddered in a mixture of fear and stress as he leaned away from the rapidly approaching woman.

Ms. Joke practically tried jumping onto Aizawa in a hug, but he managed to sidestep it as the woman quickly recovered and slung her arm around his shoulder while exclaiming happily, "It's so funny meeting you up in a place like this!"
Aizawa grumbled in his throat as he replied in a firm serious tone, "There is nothing funny about this, Ms. Joke."

"So have you finally thought about it?", she asked him with a wide smile.

Truly confused by her statement, Aizawa inquired, "About what?"
Ms. Joke laughed for a moment before stating, like it was obvious, "Duh! Our marriage, you silly!"
Aizawa huffed out in exasperation of her, and told her in a dead serious yet deadpan tone, "Emi, this is neither the time nor place to be talking about this."

Ms. Joke then broke out into a fit of hysterical laughter, spit flying from her mouth as she exclaimed, "You're such a riot Eraser!"

As Ms. Joke gut laughed and Aizawa jumped between scolding and grumbling, Doctor Thanatos looked between the two of them like he was watching some kind of a sitcom.

Fully confused and a bit anxious throughout the whole thing, he pointed at the two of them and asked the students, "Is this normal?"

"Yes.", they all replied in unison, making the doctor's sweat drop.

Once the feeling passed, he tried to scrape them back up together as best he could. He coughed for their attention and sweat dropped again as they turned to him with expressions saying they forgot about him, he asked, "Shall we continue?"

From there they walked with Ms. Joke practically biting Aizawa's ear off with her chatter and laughter, still being led by an awkward Doctor Thanatos. They were brought to a small office building that was connected to the main outer grounds of the main facility. The whole area was also walled off with the same protective measures, connected by a short roadway. If it weren't for that the whole place would look no different from the many other buildings surrounding the place.

They were brought into a small auditorium where the other students of the other mentioned schools were already seated and waiting for the break to start. Class 1-A took their seat, Doctor Thanatos walked on stage to the podium, tapped the mic, and began to speak as a projector blasted to life behind him.

After the Briefing

The whole meeting took about an hour to go through completely, and once it was done, the spotlight was put back on Thanatos and the projector shut off. From there the good doctor addressed the whole room, saying, "First off I would like to thank each of you for your patience during this meeting. I know it's a lot to absorb, especially on the first day, but you can't imagine how much it means to me to see so many of you willing to help. Some might call you crazy, but to me and the rest of the staff here, you're all true heroes."

This got an astounding round of applause from the younger heroes, which brought a relieved smile to the exhausted man's face. When the clapping died out, he continued saying, "From here you'll be separated into groups by your classes, the one smaller group will go with another, and you'll be given a guild to help you understand your way around the facility."

Just as he was about to walk off stage and the students sat up from their seats, he quickly swiveled back around and said into the mic, "And one other thing, do be careful. They might be kids, the same as you, but they're all very….' trigger happy' for lack of better terms."

With that warning sticking in their heads, the students grew wary of the looming stress of their surroundings. They regrouped with their teachers and eventually were met by their tour guides who were dressed as casually as Thanatos, even though all of them were mental doctors. 1-A regrouped at an empty spot and waited, but soon found out that their tour guide was either running late or just not there.

Eventually, Doctor Thanatos walked up to them to which Aizawa guessed aloud, "I'm guessing you'll be our guide, doctor."

The man nodded and replied, "I will have that pleasure, please follow me."

With Aizawa and Thanatos in the front and the students following behind, the doctor took them all around the surprisingly large Asylum. Although the outside wasn't anything to be impressed about, the inside is where everything mattered. It was almost like being in one of those overly done children's hospitals and dentists' offices. Purposely made to be bright, vibrant, inviting, and comfortable. If anything, the overly sweet atmosphere worked too well, making it seem overbearing by how syrupy sweet it was, though it balanced everything out.

The walls and lights were bright, the hallways smelled nice with hanging lavender plants and other sweet flowers and herbs, the interior was made up of mock pictures that looked like they were painted for five years olds, and soft music played on a speaker system. Heck, even the staff rooms were bright and inviting. Though the students did notice many construction workers going in and out, even seeing man maintenance and clean crews every few hundred or so feet.

It did put thought into the student's minds that the other children here were not only messy but destructive. At least the place was clean.

Mina made a verbal comment about the atmosphere and said to the doctor, "I gotta admit this place is pretty nice despite being a prison once."

Thanatos smiled at the compliment and rebutted, "Although there wasn't much to be done structurally, since we'd need to tear it all down, it has been completely refurbished and upgraded with modern tech. Made to be far more inviting and calming, but no less secure and protected."

At this, a few of the more observant students noticed that cameras were all over the place, along with staff carrying some kind of non-lethal weapon on them. Some even sneaked glances at heavily armed guards that kept out of sight but still lurked enough to watch from the background. It was a bit off-putting, but it made perfect sense. With so many unstable youths with hyper-charged quirks, it only made sense that they'd need these measures, especially after hearing of onsite deaths.

Iida, inquisitive as always, came to the Doctor's side and inquired respectfully, "Doctor, just how many victims are here?"

Thanatos gave a grim and unhappy expression as he replied with a somber tone, "As of now, 23. With hopes that number doesn't rise."

A small round of gasps, silent and otherwise, swept around the students as they silently murmured to one another.

"Geeze, that's nearly our whole class!", Uraraka stated with a pale expression.

"I know, it is quite appalling.", Thanatos agreed with her sentiment before changing the subject. "Anyway, here is one of several of our outdoor areas here in Elysium."

The group turned a corner and stepped outside a set of automatic sliding doors where they were greeted with one of the most outdoor settings they had ever seen! It was probably an outdoor exercise spot for inmates back in the day, but now it was like a second Edan! Flowers, shrubs, and grass all grew and bloomed in this tranquil area. The roads were simple stone pathways, man-made streams, tiny bridges with a small fish pond, and several sitting areas of different styles. With the largest one being a large overhung gazebo of sorts.

But the main centerpiece was the huge old tree smacked dead in the center of it all! Birds chirped in the branches, squirrels ran along the trunk, and even small rabbits popped out of holes by the roots. The students were in awe of the scenery, even Aizawa who tried to keep his expression vague!

"It's so beautiful!", Tsuyu said with amazement.

"Is this open to them?", Sero asked while looking around.

Thanatos gave a small chuckle at this question and told him, "Everything in this facility is open to our residents. There is no being held in or locked up unless necessary. They are completely free to roam as they please on the understanding they come when called for group meetings, eating time, curfew, and of course, they can't leave the facility."

"Can they? You know, leave on their own. They certainly have the power.", Jiro asked while realizing this.

"None of them have tried. It is reassuring to know that they feel comfortable here.", Thanatos told her.

As they all admired the scenery, Izuku saw some relaxing in one of the large decorative boulders. He pointed out the person, who was neither adult nor wearing some kind of uniform, and asked, "Doctor, is that one of the…residents?"

Thanatos looked to where the teen was pointing and his face lit up as he answered, "Ah yes! That would be Liu Wei."

A few of the students noticed his strange name and Sato asked, "Is he not Japanese?"

"No, he's Chinese. Many of our residents are out of Japan.", Thanatos informed them.

"So what's his schtick?", Bakugou asked rudely.

It was apparent that the good doctor was trying his best to suppress the urge of rolling his eyes or sighing at his denotation, and told him, "If by that you mean his quirk, then it's called Origami. His skin is made from paper and whatever is destroyed or removed will near instantaneously grow back, like the teeth of a shark. He can also control the paper telekinetically and shape it as he pleases. We haven't even found out what he can't do with it."

Liu Wei was about 16, from looks alone, his hair was medium length and scruffy and colored white along with the rest of his body which was chalk white. His skin seems to have tiny seams like stacks of paper put next to one another, now and again one would fold over before falling back into place. His eyes were, the only piece of color on his body was black. His clothing was also black but he didn't wear shoes. You seem to be holding a piece of paper in his hand that he was folding all by itself by the mere twitching of his fingers. Liu Wei seemed to finally notice the group of people staring at him and finally pointed his gaze and their direction.

Thanatos smiles at the boy and waves to him while calling out friendly, "Hello, Liu Wei."

Without even a moment's hesitation, Liu Wei folded the paper into a blade and launched it out at the Doctor! Luckily it completely missed his head and only hit the wall behind him!

Several students jumped out in front to protect the doctor, alongside Aizawa who asked, "Are you okay?!"

Unusually calm Thanatos brushed him off and assured them saying, "I'm fine, at worst it's a warning. As I said, they're trigger happy.", He then signed out a stressed breath and fixed his collar as he promoted, "We should continue."

Just before they did, something poked out from behind the boulders that Liu Wei was sitting on top of. Kaminari saw it first, indicated by his girlish scream!

"AH! What is that?! Is that a freaking Dinosaur!?", Kaminari yelled while leaning back into Bakugou and pointing at the thing.

When all the other students saw it, they too got into defensive stances of its frightening appearance. It looked like a lizard, but far larger, with a broad square head, and a huge sail that ran the length of its back. Its body was varying shades of green and the sail was red. It hissed and puffed at the students as he dragged its body low to the ground around the base of the boulders.

Koda then piped up and informed them, "Actually, it's a Dimetrodon. And they are classified as Synapsids, which means they are more related to humans than-."

"We don't need a freaking Zoology lesson Professor Steve Erwin!", Bakugou yelled at him.

"That would be Paarthurnax.", Thanatos casually introduced them.

All the students looked at the doctor strangely, not at all expecting him to introduce them to such a creature as if it were a normal resident or another person. All of them were now calmer, and blinking in surprise and confusion.

Eventually, Sero piped up and asked what everyone was thinking, "Okay, how and why do you have a dinosaur!?"

"Humans weren't the only ones used in those experiments. They had several animals with present genes for quirk development or had quirks already. Paarthurnax being one of them.", Thanatos explained in further detail.

"How many do you have?", Aizawa inquired.

"10 in total.", The doctor answers.

As their conversation went on, Kaminari, who was still eyeballing Paarthurnax, saw its sail grow brighter and smoke billow out of its nose and mouth as it stared at him down.

"Wait, why is it smoking?", He suddenly interjected into the talk.

The other students looked back in the direction of the creature and saw what the electric teen described.

Seeing their concerns rise, Thanatos tried to put their mind at somewhat ease with an explanation. Telling them, "While being re-evolved into the modern age wasn't the only thing Paarthurnax got. His quirk is called Pry-Dimetrodon. He's essentially a wingless dragon."

"That thing can breathe fire!?", Sato exclaimed.

"Hot enough to cut through steel.", Thanatos confirmed.

Aizawa heavily sighed at this and asked while pinching the bridge of his nose, "Why do you even have these creatures? It's one thing for the kids, but these are animals. They should be in some kind of reserve or zoo."

Thanatos gave a stressed sigh in return and with a disheartened tone he explained, "Unfortunately no place is willing to take creatures with quirks or quirks as dangerous as theirs. Paarthurnax can't even be held in conventional enclosures since he'll just melt his way out of them."

Not completely satisfied with the answer, Aizawa questioned him further, "Okay, here's a better question. Why keep them here or keep them alive? Aren't you afraid they'll attack regardless?"

"Luckily we won't have that issue. One of our residents can commune and control animals. As such, keeps them calm enough to keep them here.", Thanatos explained the last question with a tone of reassurance, before saying a more exasperated tone and explaining his first question, "As for why they weren't killed off due to their threat, that would come from our government. Since not much is known about the effects of quirks on animals, they want them alive so they can be studied."

'I'm glad Nezu isn't here, he'd flip his lid if he heard that.', Aizawa said to himself in his head.

"So they're okay with killing a bunch of kids but not with a bunch of animals?", Mina asked suspiciously, narrowing her eyes with several other students including a disapproving Aizawa.

Putting a hand to his chin, the good doctor thought about what he would say, and then informed them as delicately as he could, "Animals are programmed by their instincts and are predictable. Humans aren't, at least that's my theory. The short end of it is that nobody wants them or can contain them. So there's no other choice but to keep them here."

After this less than satisfactory explanation, Aizawa looked around the area while asking, "So where is this mysterious Beastmaster?"

He knew full well that there was no way these creatures could be so calm unless their puppet master was close by.

"Believe it or not he's over there.", Doctor Thanatos told him with a brighter expression while pointing off into one of the grassy areas.

Though before anyone could fully concentrate on whatever the doctor was pointing at, Mineta suddenly pointed out into the high grass and shouted in shock, "Holy shit! Is that a Pegasus!"

All the young heroes looked out into where Mineta was pointing and shouting and saw that he was completely right. Grazing amongst the green grass was a creature that could only be described as a Pegasus…. although significantly different. Instead of just being a horse with a set of bird wings was instead a horse with its front limbs and upper body like that of a pterosaur. Its Mane and tail were short, Its coat was white with mixtures of brown markings along its muzzle, ears, neck, shoulders, and hindquarters with a spotted pattern on its haunches.

The more realistic Pegasus immediately took notice of all the sudden attention and screaming in its direction and whipped its head up from its peaceful grazing! It let out a frightened Winnie before jumping off into the air and flying off to another part of the Elysium! This sent a wave of awkward silence among the teenagers, especially Mineta who felt the most awkward in this situation.

Doctor Thanatos sighed exasperated and tells them, "Yes, her name is Gusty and she's very skittish. But I was pointing to the right of her, by that large tree."

Everyone then turned their attention to the large tree in the center of the garden and saw someone descending from its branches. It almost looked like the smaller branches of the tree were lifting him towards in a gentle descent. He was practically nude except for leaves and vines covering his lower torso. His body was decorated with more leaves, flowers, vines, brambles, and branches. He looked around 17 and barefoot with two crystals wrapped around each wrist, bound with roots. Two huge antlers spirited from his head, resting on top of his yellow eyes. His skin was sun-kissed, his body muscular, and his ears long and pointed. The most striking feature of all was his hair, long sleeve and the darkest shade of black to ever be seen on a person. His expression appeared relaxed and centered, but a closer look showed they held frustration and anger, with a calculative streak.

Thanatos adjusted himself and called out in a chipper and friendly tone, "Hello Dubhthach, how are things today?"

The young man smiled coldly at him and replied in a condescending tone, "Doctor. I see these are your new attempts at trying to control us? How sad.", He stated while motioning at the young heroes.

Not many of the teens took kindly to this and had expressions ranging from shock to anger. Thanatos tried to deescalate the situation and with his hand up said back, "No one is trying to make you do anything. We're simply trying to."

But he was rudely cut off by Dubhthach who waved his hand dismissively and exclaimed in a condo sending it a challenging tone, "Oh save your sermon for those who wanna listen. I know your type, and we're not that easy to tame."

Bakugou, who was uncharacteristically quiet up until this point, spoke up with an annoyed tone and exclaimed in demand, "Huh?! If you're 'not easy to tame' then why the hell do you bother staying here?"

Dubhthach almost looked surprised by his snappy attitude, then smiled and lightly complimented him while explaining, "Oh a feisty one I see. Better question, why bother? We've got a pretty good gig going on here. Free food, full roaming, easy rules, no threats. It's wonderful…..almost.", he trailed off with a disgusted expression before taking his fake appealing expression, fixing his hair back and following with, "I'd personally like to be in any patch of the forest away from here and any human being, but I've grown attached to some of these other kids and especially these animals. Besides that, the government wouldn't just let us or them leave. So you'll find it's not so simple if you only use your head.", He vexingly told Bakugou as a root sprouted up and tapped him on the head, making the teen slap it away and growl. "Which I'm sure for you only means bashing stuff with it like the bull-headed toads you all are.", He exclaimed with a near crazed-looking face that rode between unhinged and demoralizing.

"What the hell did you fucking say!?", Bakugou shouted furiously as he released his quirk.

Almost immediately several kids jumped in to restrain the explosive teen. Especially Izuku who jumped in front of him, arms spread, and tried talking sense.

"Kacchan, calm down! He's just trying to get a rise out of you on purpose.", He tried talking him down.

Bakugou growled like an animal and exclaimed between ground teeth, "Well it's working!"

Doctor Thanatos tried to stop him before he broke free and exclaimed while standing in front, "Young man please center yourself! You need to keep a cool head otherwise-!"

But he never got to finish that sentence as a large harry creature jumped down from one of the small overhangs, I'm front of the class, and roared! The students all jumped back and screamed in fright as Aizawa jumped in front and at the ready! Even Thanatos jumped forward while grabbing anyone near into his arms in protection!

When the initial shock wore out and everyone turned to look at the thing that scared them, Izuku asked while I'm the doctor's arms, "Otherwise….that?"

Thanatos sighed and replied, "That's...one thing."

"What is that?!", Aizawa demanded, his quirk already activated as he stared down at the huge creature.

The animal in question was unique yet something familiar. It had a body like a lion, but much more muscular, hands like a koala, a head that seemed to be crossed with a dog and a cat, but still vastly different, and the weirdest teeth ever seen! Its fur was a mixture of dark and light colors ranging from brown to gray, and its eyes were piercing green!

As it stared back at Aizawa with its face in a snarl, its eyes changed into a glowing yellow. All happened when Dubhthach snapped his fingers. Once this happened, the animal took a much more docile and dazed expression as it turned around from the group and walked towards Dubhthach. It jumped up towards him and circled him once, rubbing its body on him like a cat, while Dubhthach let his hand glide across its sleek fur.

He chuckles, though it couldn't be told if he was chuckling in amusement of the animal's affection, or at the group's initial reaction. Either way, he looked at the heroes and informed them, "This is Bae, he's somewhat like my familiar. Also, he's a Thylacoleo."

"A what!?", Kirishima asked.

"An ancient predatory marsupial. Think of a lion, but Australian.", The quiet Koda told them.

Aizawa calmed down, seeing at Dubhthach was the Beastmaster, turning off his quirk he took back his previously relaxed expression and asked, "Lemme guess, a normal animal with a quirk that makes it look like that?"

Thanatos nods at this question.

Dubhthach gives a hefty sigh before saying aloud in a mocking tone, "I don't even know why you bother trying so hard, doctor. All of your attempts will always be in vain. No one here can or ever will trust you or anyone here or anyone you bring. We're thankful, sure, but that's it! If you want us to do something, you know you have to go through Tsuchi.", he exclaimed the name in a boisterously threatening tone, making the doctor shudder and the heroes confused. Dubhthach giggles vexingly before saying in a sweet condescending tone, "Well I have to be off, and good luck to you little dimwits. You're gonna need it with us! I fully expect all of you to drop your pathetic little charade in a week!"

With that last statement and crazed expression of jostling, he vanished into a flock of crows! Once he was gone, Bae also bounded away after jumping onto the rooftops, leaving the students with mixed emotions.

"He sure was…..interesting.", Uraraka tried to say nicely.

"What a prick.", Shoji said what everyone was thinking.

"Asshole!", Bakugou exclaimed what everyone was thinking.

"As I said, they all have issues. And with Dubhthach being one of the older ones, it's worse for him. Please don't take it personally.", Thanatos sighed while apologetically bowing to them. He then stop up and smiled at them with his tired expression and offered, "But please, let's continue with the tour."

As they made their way through the rest of the garden and back into the building through another entry point, taking them into a different part of the facility, admiring all their ways to see and be given a brief explanation of everything, Aizawa gave a question to Thanatos.

"By the way doctor. What was it that Dubhthach said before that made you go…..even paler? This Tsuchi, are they someone we should be worried about?", Aizawa asked him curiously and skeptically.

"Or something.", Bakugou grunted in.

Thanatos stopped his walk and turned to the group he explained with a hand on his chin, "Yes and no. Tsuchi is our residence imprint leader. All the children look to him as a figure of embellishment, whether through idolization or fear is up to the individual. He's also the most powerful of the children here, and the most scared from the experimentations.", he said with a visage shuddering. He then continued saying, "He, um, how do I put this?... Fluctuates in his attitude, but when he's not out for blood he's very cooperative, kind, and protective. He's even a very good listener, despite not being able to talk. But please, let's worry about one thing at a time."

As they continued, the students continued to be surprised by the inviting and lush atmosphere. They passed by a cafeteria that was just as nice as their own, a library that looked like it was made for young children and teens, and even the bathrooms smelt nice and had color. The entire place continued to be bright, clean, and anything but monochromatic. It did seem like a retreat for the ill and young. The heroes were so impressed that some of them openly admitted their delight with the place.

"You know, I was half expecting this place to be drab and dreary or plain white, but it's pretty inviting.", Shoji said aloud as his eyes gazed upon everything around.

"That's the whole point of it. It was meant to strike a feeling of safety and security. I'm glad you've taken notice.", Thanatos said with a proud yet tired smile before unlocking a heavily technological door that looked ready to hold back a nuclear blast. Once they stepped inside, Thanatos motioned down the hallway and said, "And here we have our rooming units where our residents sleep. Separated by not only age and gender but also individual specific needs and threat levels."

Unlike the rest of the facility, which was very inviting, bright, and eye-catching, this room was not. It was like looking into the very past this place came from. The hallway was dimly light, gray, cold, and not well maintained. Dripping could be heard from pipes, lights flickered, spider webs hung all around, and even rats scampered by. The 'rooms' were like actual jail cells….from the outside. Gray rusted doors that had a small window of bars for viewing, heavily bolted locks, and clipboards next to each room for id purposes.

"Threat levels?", Aizawa asked him, ignoring the 'room' at first.

"Some of them can get pretty emotional and need time to blow off steam in their rooms to cool off. Due to all of them having such extraordinarily powerful quirks, we have to reinforce them to accommodate this.", Thanatos explained, still not giving any sort of reaction to the layout of this room.

"Okay, I'm just gonna say it. What the hell!", Kaminair exclaimed while spreading his arms around the room and asking, "Why does this place look like how everyone has been imagining it?!"

"That is because this is where the kids sleep, and few people are willing to work or maintain it.", Thanatos explained with a heavy sigh.

Just then, something dropped from the ceiling and onto the floor in front of Iida. The young teen looked down at whatever dripped off and saw that it was burning away on the floor. He noticed that the whole pace had these small burn marks. He looked up to see what had dropped it, and then he saw something so horrible that he forgot himself!

"Doctor.", he called out in a voice of dreed.

"Yes?", Thanatos replied, unnerved by the boy's sudden shift in tone and attitude.

"What. Is. THAT?!", he exclaimed while pointing at the ceiling.

Clinging to the overhead rafter beams was a truly horrifying sight! At first, it looked like a giant green scaly tumor, but then it shifted its head down to face the group. It was huge, green, and ugly! The thing wasn't even human! Or if it was, only its face was human, everything else was like that of a giant Scorpion! The green exoskeleton, spider-like legs, clawed hands, and the second set of smaller ones under the larger ones with pincers, a long tail with a stinger at the end dripping with venom, black eyes, and sharp teeth! It had no hair, no ears, and snarled dangerously at the teens! It then let out an unnatural roar and looked like it would attack! But something happened, and it saved them!

A look of shock replaced the feral one and it jumped out of the way in time for several ice spikes flying towards it and getting stuck into the metal beam! Once repositioned, the scorpion monster rode in the direction of the attack, and several students had to jump out of the way of an incoming trail of sharp ice! Ridding the ice was a young teen around their age shooting the ice from their palms and smiling wildly as they did so! Their skin was blue and their hair white, but that's all they could see before they raced off in hot pursuit of the scorpion monster, shooting ice and creating the slide they were riding on! Both disappear deeper into the hallway, leaving it quiet and even colder than before.

Once things seemed to settle down, Iida turned to the doctor and exclaimed hurriedly, "Please tell me that wasn't another resident?"

"And the Ice guy too?", Mineta asked from behind someone else, looking ready to pee himself.

Thanatos nods somberly and tells them, "Indeed, that would've been Jupei. He's one of our residents who was changed dramatically by the experiments, both physically and psychologically. A word of warning, he is one of our more violent residents, causing many injuries and death to staff members. So if he gets out of hand you have my full permission to defend yourselves, and don't hold back!", all the teens seemed off put by this, but took his advice to heart and nodded. "As for the 'Ice Guy', as you put it. His name is Yuki. He may not look it, but he's just as mentally unstable as Jupei. He's simply more calculated than feral.", Thanatos told them with a shiver, leading all of them to do the same.

"I think those two should be one of the few to be locked up full time.", Bakugou said without a care.

Thanatos just shook his head and told him, "That would be counterproductive to what we're trying to do.", though he did look like he was seriously considering it.

"I can't believe you gave Jupei a name like that. It's so…redundant.", Jiro stated aloud with an awkward expression.

"That is his name. All of our residents use their true names, we don't give names unless they can't remember them.", Thanatos firmly informed her, and the rest of the teens.

After this they left the kid's sleeping area, the young heroes having a little more haste in their steps to get out of there and into the pleasant facility. As they walked and were shown more of the facility and all of its accommodations, they turned into a room that looked like it was tailored to very young children. It looked like a playroom in a daycare. Bright colorful walls with sloppy pictures on them, toys that looked like they were made for small children in different chests. Toys that ranged from action figures to building blocks. The scent of basil in the air, ambient sound playing over the speaker, tables with all different art equipment, and big bean bag chairs that surrounded a small tv that had DVDs all around it. In the room were only two people.

Once Thanatos saw them he smiled rightly and told the teens, "Oh, but I'm sure these two will be more your speed. Meet Kat and Tako, a few of our kinder residents. Good morning boys."

"Uh, hi doctor.", nervously replied the first boy, who was properly Tako.

He looked like a human…sorta. He had many features of an octopus ranging from tentacles for legs and suction cups on its finger. A different coloration on his face to the rest of his body with rectangular pupils. He was playing with some clay before he got up, moved to the wall, and then camouflaged into it, disappearing.

"H-hello.", said the other younger boy in a frightened yet polite tone.

He was young and very weak looking. His hair was pink, his skin pale, his arms covered in gauze, his body thin, his eyes different colors one being green and the other brown. He was dressed in what looked like a hospital gown with no shoes, only socks. He was currently at a table drawing something before he slid off onto the floor and hid behind a very large blue object with purple spots.

At first, they thought it was nothing but a large bean bag, but then it lifted its head and stared at the group with its eyeless face. Its head was large, wide, but also flat. It had no eyes, ears, or nose. Its body was covered in polka-dotted fur that bristled up and a long tail. It was quadrupedal and had long sharp claws. When someone took a step forward, it growled and showed its needle-like teeth!

"They're rather shy and reserved, so be gentle with them.", Thanatos whispered to them, ignoring the huge creature that Kat was hiding behind.

"Is that giant blue thing a part of them?", Sato asked while taking a step back with a fearful expression.

At first, the doctor looked confused before realizing what he meant and told them, "What? Oh, that would be Floofy. One of Kat's creations."

"Creation?", Aizawa questioned.

"Kat can modify organisms to varying degrees. We currently allow him to keep three, Floofy being one. As for what Floofy used to be is unknown.", Thanatos explained in more detail.

Trying to make light of the now uncomfortable situation, Kaminari jokingly observed, "Tako is a little on the nose, isn't he?"

"Well he doesn't remember his name so he chose that for himself.", Thanatos replied with a chuckle.

Though before things could settle down to a more light atmosphere, someone decided to ruin it in one go.

"AAAAAAAHHH!", Mineta screamed in panic.

At this point, almost everyone was becoming a bit desensitized by the whole 'in constant danger' schtick, and almost no one made any sort of flight or fight response. Instead, they just stood there with limp bodies and exasperated expressions. Once a sigh of exhaustion swept over them, Aizawa was the one to ask.

"Oh geez, what's with the screaming now?", he asked while whipping his hand across his face.

"It's a monster from Silent Hill! Is this place hell or something!?", he exclaimed while pointing to the farthest corner of the room, his face pale and eyes gushing out streams of fearful tears.

Doctor Thanatos, along with everyone else, looked over to where the smaller teen was pointing and yelling in a frenzy. When they did, a ping of fear ran up them as they saw he was right for his reaction! The thing that was slowly approaching them was like some misshapen demon from the pits of hell! The only thing that even remotely made it human was the face it stood upright and walked, everything else was unnatural!

Its skin was chalk white, it had no arms, and despite having something similar to a head it had no facial features! Just a smooth white plat of nothing! It wore no clothing with no visage genitals and stood on two long stilts for legs with no feet, only sharp points it balanced on! Instead of walking, it rather hobbled and swayed back and forth off its balance, always looking like it was gonna fall over any second!

As it approached, Thanatos showed no fear in its presence and calmly assured them, "Oh don't be frightened, that's just Jon Doe. He normally looks like that, and he is quite friendly."

The sense of fear quickly left them as Jon kept approaching, and the one thing to be said by anyone about anything regarding Jon was, "That's a guy?"

Thanatos shrugged and admitted, "We're not sure honestly. But he appears to react positively when he's referred to with masculine pronouns."

Once Jon got within speaking distance of the group, he stopped and examined all of them one by one. Turning his faceless head around to each of them, thus making everyone feel uncomfortable. Once he was done, he set his sights on Izuku and hobbled close enough to breathe on him. From there, Izuku noticed that Jon did have some facial features, they were just so small or colored like the rest of his body that they couldn't be seen at first glance. His eyes were huge but were colored so close to his skin that it was impossible to tell. He had a nose or rather two small slits, and tiny ear holes, but no mouth.

Jon stood there staring at Izuku for several long drawn-out seconds, making the normally chipper and friendly boy extremely uncomfortable. When he tried to take a step back, Jon took a step forward.

With a deep sweat drop on him, he turned to the doctor without moving his head, and asked, "Why is he staring at me? Is he staring at me?"

Thanatos chuckled, as if it were amusing, and assured him, "He's just observing you, give him a minute, he'll be done quickly and then you'll see something amazing."

And just as he said, Jon did do something amazing. Within seconds his skin began to vibrate, and melt, then reformed into different shapes, textures, colors, and even arms grew out from his torso! Within a minute, standing before Izuku, was an exact copy of himself! Fitted with his exact costume and everything!

Izuku, alongside the whole class, was agape in shock and awe! With words starting to leave him, Izuku stammered out, "Woah! He-He looks just like me….almost."

And he was right, although Jon had turned into a 1:1 scale of him, even going so far as to shrink down to his size, there were still a few missing features. Like the face, his eyes were still the same huge size and had no color, while his face held no expression whatsoever.

"Jon here can copy the form and quirk of anyone he sees. Though he does tend to forget a few minor details. This also means he likes you.", Thanatos explained with a smile.

Izuku smiled as best he could back at the stone-faced boy, who almost seemed to try and smile back, but the best he could do was manually pull his lips up with his hands. After this, he left the play area and back into the facility. From there the teens were taken back into the hallway and continued on their tour, this time without any sort of threats or setbacks.

Outside In the Courtyard

The rest of the tour took around thirty minutes, but once they were done, they were taken into one of the larger outdoor courtyards. This one was far different from the second Edan, as this one was all concrete and had nothing to look at apart from several wooden benches on the outer lining, and some man-made river ways that seemed to snake in outer parts of the courtyard, but also around and within the whole facility. Big enough for one person to swim in, but small enough to be easily walked or jumped across. It appeared that some of the residents have certain needs to operate, such as constant water. It was far larger than the rest, and to some, it reminded them of the field in the Sports festival stadium. Once they got there, the young heroes saw that all the other heroes were also standing around and waiting.

Doctor Thanatos left them and walked onto a man-made podium with a standing mic. The students took the cue and all quilted down while turning their attention to the man. Class 1-A absorbed themselves into the crowd and gave general and quiet greetings to some of the others they were either more familiar or friendly with. Thanatos tapped the mic a few times and coughed to clear his throat, making everyone give their full attention to him.

Skipping all formalities, Thanatos went straight to the point, announcing to the group of teens, "Now that you all have seen the full extent of the grounds, I think it's time for you all to meet the rest of the residents."

With that, one of the workers came to his side with a long corded announcer receiver and handed it off to him. Thanatos pressed the button and spoke into it, cutting off all music and ambient sounds, calling out his voice from every speaker in the facility.

"Attention all children, attention. Please meet in the courtyard for a short meeting. Please meet in the courtyard for a short meeting, thank you.", he repeated it into the receiver a few times before handing it back to the facility worker.

It was dead quiet for a time after that, but within a few minutes, all the residents of Elysium all started to flood in one at a time. Some flew in from the sky, some came through the doors, from the earth, from the natural waterways implanted into the ground, and others even came from out of the walls. All of them had different shapes and sizes, no two were alike the other, but they were vastly different from the heroes standing before them, and that fact was obvious. Even the experimented animals all shuffled in with yellow eyes, Dubhthach at their lead. Once they all assembled, all their expression ranging as they stared down the heroes, some with familiar faces and others not, Thanatos turned to the children and told them while motioning to the young heroes, "Children, I'd like you all to meet the young heroes who are going to be aiding in your recovery."

As stated before, all of them had different expressions that couldn't quite be pinned down. None of them seemed pleased that they were here. This is when Thanatos turned back to the heroes and motioned to the children behind him, introducing them, "Future Heroes of Japan, allow me to introduce you all to the residence of Elysium Asylum."

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't updated any of my stories for a while, but you know how it goes. Writer's block, work, stress from getting into an accident settling a claim, and getting a car. You know, the usual. Anyway, the reason I'm making yet ANOTHER story is simply because of burnout. I need something different and after reading some SYOC stories I decided to give it a try since it seemed like a fun challenge!

Now like other SYOC stories I have several rules I hope you guys can follow and a chart to map everything out for you to best describe your OC. Also, there are 15 spots available for kids and 7 spots for animals. I'll explain all their rules and whatnot in separate sections.

Rule 1: Send all submissions through PM. I won't be accepting any requests through the comments, no matter how good they are.

Rule 2: you can only submit 1 child and/or 1 animal. If you have a character idea for a facility worker, then run it by me for my approval.

Rule 3: keep descriptions brief but informative. I know you all have great ideas that require you to write out long-winded statements but try to keep it as little as possible for the sake of simplicity.

Rule 4: if you send a character that is nude for any reason, make sure it's realistic and tasteful. Like Toru, who can be nude due to being invisible. Or like Jon Doe who has no sexual trails or genitals. Things like they can't wear clothes due to their body shape or physical composition, something covers them up like bright light or fur, their half creature, they have no visible sexual organs, or clothing is meaningless such as being fully aquatic. (Cause I mean, a mermaid wouldn't wear a seashell shell bra). Just remember there's a difference between have to be and can be. Tako can be nude but simply chooses not to. Just remember that they're all minors, so don't make it too weird.

Rule 5: don't make your character the cliché angry edgy emo character. Try to make something unique or different. Since a few of my own already have those traits, but if you have to, just don't make it so eye-rollingly cliché. Be different and branch out, make them three-dimensional.

Rule 6: give them realistically OP quirks, that's the whole gimmick. Look, I don't care if you give them the power to turn into a five-headed dragon with each one having a different elemental blast. (I love DnD) Hell! Give them the ability to turn into Monsters from the Monster Hunter series! (I love that game series) Just nothing insane like full-scale Space-time manipulation. Make it powerful but real, it has to have a weakness.

Rule 7: If you want to make them friends or a couple with someone else or one of my characters, let me know and I'll think about it.

Rule 8: If you want to give your character an animal that's not related to the experimented ones, make sure it's relevant to their quirk. Like Kat and Floofy, That's one of his creations.

Rule 9: be aware that if your character does get chosen some things about it might get changed due to your interests. These may be minor or major things. Just please keep that in mind when you do so.

Rule 10: have fun.

Now here is the graph for you to fill out;

Name: Obvious.

Age, Weight, Height: still obvious.

Hair and eye color: continuing to be obvious.

Gender: male or female there are only two. Unless it can't be determined due to certain factors.

Appearance: got to know what they look like besides their eye and hair colors. This is where you can be more specifically long-winded.

Nationality: Where do they come from, where did they go?

Quirk name: This is still obvious.

Quirk Description: You know the rules.

Threat Level: now I'm sure you're curious about what this means. It means how much of a danger the individual is to others. Here's the listing from least to most dangerous-

C: powerful but can be reasoned or coerced easily.

B: powerful and unpredictable, stay on your guard and know the signs. Can still be talked to.

A: powerful and dangerous or vicious. They could go feral but either choose not to or don't see your reason. They can and will be a threat. Be extremely cautious.

S: unpredictably dangerous, stay on your guard at all times, and be ready to defend yourself! They can and most likely will attack you for little to no reason. They almost can't be reasoned with and need special aid and securing.

Likes: Max of 4

Dislikes: Max of 4

General personality: keep it brief But informative.

Backstory: how did they come to be captured and eventually experimented on with their quirks? Do they remember their past and their names? How much do they remember or want to remember? What were their quirks before they evolved? This is the only time you can be more specific and long-winded.

Personal quirks: no not they're superpowers. Just something that makes them different from the others in one way or another.

Quotes: no more than 4.

Interactions: no more than 4.

Allies: if any.

Enemies: try not to just say 'everyone'.

Weaknesses: be realistic, everyone and everything has a weakness. No matter how powerful you get.

Development: how did they develop as a character? How do they start, where do they go, and how do they end up? I know this is supposed to be my thing, but it's better I know what's going on inside your head so I can 'copy and paste it as best I can. No one knows their character better than you.

Interest/hobbies: everyone likes something different or does something to kill time. Even mentally scarred children with superpowers.

Other/extra: Is there anything else you want to add or something I might have missed? Let me know.

Now with the children out of the way, it's time to move on to the experimented animals. Like I said before you can do one the other or both, But you can't do two for two. AKA you can't make two characters for the children or two characters for the animals. Now there really won't be any rules for the animals except for what I want in their descriptions, simply because animals are a little less complex. But anyway here is the chart.

Name: Obvious.

Age: do they even know how old they are?

Gender: male or female there are only two unless it's something that is hermaphroditic or otherwise.

Quirk: obvious. Make it powerful but not as powerful as the children.

Quirk description: still obvious.

Appearance: got to know what they look like.

Animal they are: that should be the main thing.

The animal they used to be: did they used to be another animal or were they always like that?

Threat level: same rules apply.

General personality: how do they normally act? Remember they're animals. Unless they have some sort of hyperawareness or increased intelligence.

Likes: no more than 4.

Dislikes: no more than 4.

Backstory: do they have a backstory? What were they or where did they live before they were experimented on? Honestly, this is optional.

Personal quirks: animals may be animals but they are still different from one another. Some might even have human-like traits. So make them unique instead of OneNote.

Interactions: no more than 4.

Allies/enemies: do they have any at all or are they loners?

Weaknesses: second verse, same as the first.

Other/extra: is there anything you want to add or something I forgot? Put it here. Now look, I don't care what you throw at me, just no Kaiju-sized or powerful animals, okay? Animals in MHA may have quirks but they are not half as powerful as humans. Like a hyper-intelligent chicken or a cassowary that's a literal dinosaur or a laser-shooting alien-looking Pteranodon. (I just really like birds) other than that, let your mind run wild.

Well, that's everything I got. I hope to hear some good ones from all of you. Just remember the rules and all is good. There is no set date for when you can submit so if you find this a month later and nothing has been chosen, go for it! You may get lucky. Speaking of such, don't expect this to be a story that gets many chapters or updated very often. A chapter will come out when it does. The second one will come a bit quicker than most cause it is gonna be an introduction, but that's it. Anyway, have a great day and I look forward to hearing your submissions. Plus Ultra!
