During Atem's trip through his own forgotten, forbidden memories, Tea and the others met Mana, Mahad's apprentice who carried the ka of Dark Magician Girl. The two felt an immediate, mutual connection with one another. As they traveled through ancient Egypt, Mana and Tea shared brief glances and smiles. Mana was very familiar with her, almost like they had shared history, and Tea often wondered if that was why her visions of Dark Magician Girl were especially seductive and flirty. Her vision pulled away as the phantom magical girl made a move to grab her chest. Tea unintentionally moaned, though she couldn't feel the touch. A couple of other customers looked at her strangely, causing the brown-haired girl to blush and raise her cup. "Um ... good tea." She excused herself. It was Mana, dressed in her beige shoulderless, sleeveless top, with ruffled straps around her upper arm, a beige miniskirt, charmed bracelets around her wrists and ankles, with matching necklace, belt and headwear. She looked and sounded exactly like her ka guardian Dark Magician Girl, except she had darker skin and hair.
Tea was caught off guard as Mana wrapped her arms around her and gave her a deep and loving kiss. However, Teana leaned into the kiss and embraced her girlfriend. "You're late." Teana teased her lover. Mana giggled and released her. "Sorry~ Master Mahad was teaching me more about the Millennium Items. This time, he taught me about the Rod. Not the actual Item, since that priest Seto is mean and refused to participate." The apprentice mage explained. Teana gave her a reassuring smile, and interlaced their fingers. "Forget him. I just finished a day's work, and I want to relax with my cute girlfriend." With a bit of casual flirting, the two walked hand-in-hand to a private spot near the Nile, closed off by trees so no one can spy on them as they do what their hearts tell them to.

The two sat on the blanket, side by side, and stared out at the Nile Delta, casually eating the food Teana prepared. The sun had since gone down, replaced by the moon and stars sparkling above them. Mana wanted a bit more from their date, since it had been a long day and it had been a while since they had a chance to be together due to Mana's training with Mahad taking up most of her free time. The package was set on a table and carefully opened with a pair of scissors. What was inside stunned Tea to her core: the Millennium Rod. "How ... ?!" She was in disbelief. The last time she saw the Millennium Items, they were lost in the pharaoh's tomb, until Kaiba unearthed them to rebuild the Millennium Puzzle to duel Pharaoh Atem. She carefully lifted the magic artifact and stared at it. "I have to call Yugi." She breathed. Before the dancer could move, the Eye of Anubis glowed and reflected on Tea's forehead, forging a link with her and making her its new master. Once the effect faded, Dark Magician Girl appeared before her, sitting on the table with a bright smile on her face. "I'm glad we can talk now. Going through the effort to bring the Millennium Rod to you had better be worth it~" The blonde magician cheered.
For a brief moment, Tea saw herself as Teana, and Dark Magician Girl as Mana, and brief glimpses of their past flowed through her mind, showing her that they each had a past life they shared together. Still, she was more than a little nervous about the whole thing, despite of, or perhaps because of, her past experiences. Magic wasn't something to use on a whim, and she was certainly not experienced in its use. She took a couple of steps back, and the mage closed the distance, gently taking hold of her wrist. "No matter the distance or time, we will always be together, my love." Those words resonated through Tea, and she offered no resistance as Dark Magician Girl gave her a gentle kiss, pressing their soft lips together. Emotions welled through Tea as her past and present collided. She dropped the priceless relic and grabbed the blonde mage's arms, returning the kiss in earnest. Tea stood from her bed and went to her closet, digging out a box that contained her old deck. She stood up and opened the container, and of course, the first card she drew was the Dark Magician Girl. Smiling, she kissed the card. As much as she wanted to, she didn't summoner her lover right away. Dark Magician Girl was concerned for her safety, and Tea was already feeling tired and in no state to summon anyone. "Tomorrow then. I want you to teach me everything, enough to keep you here indefinitely." She whispered to the card, hoping her words reached her beloved. She never wanted to part from the lovely magician again, and a long-distance relationship, with whole worlds separating them, was not ideal for the girl in love. She always wanted a room mate, and having someone like Dark Magician Girl around, a sexy girl to see first thing in the morning, was a dream come true.
