A young Link was on his first day as a student of Alfonzo to become an engineer to drive trains. Alfonzo was teaching Link the ropes, and they were currently going through a cave.
"Whoa!" Alfonzo said stopping the train before running into a pile of rocks on the track. "Looks like the exit collapsed. We'll have to go back and take a different route."
"Okay," Link said, but before they could they heard a chilling voice.
"So you are the one that is descended from the one to destroy my master," the voice said, causing them to look back and see a Wizzrobe, which had been thought to be extinct. "I will enjoy killing you."
"I won't go quietly," Alfonzo said preparing his sword.
"I'm not interested in you," the wizzrobe said. "I'm killing the child next to you. He looks just like his ancestor, the one that killed my master."
With that Link tried to run, only for the wizzrobe to teleport in front and surround him with an orb of magic that separated his body and soul.
"Link!" Alfonzo said seeing the Wizzrobe laugh while holding Link's body.
"He even has the same name as his ancestor!" the wizzrobe laughed. "A name that us wizzrobe's in hiding hate. I'm glad that I ran into you while practicing. I never would've found out about him otherwise."
The wizzrobe then paused when he saw Link's soul trying to get back to his body, and teleported out of the way, causing his soul to hit a young keese and possess it.
"Oh this is good," the wizzrobe laughed. "While trying to get your soul back in your body, not only did you miss, but you ended up in the body of a young keese. And a female keese at that. Guess you won't need this any more."
With that, the wizzrobe used his magic to destroy Link's body causing her new keese body to scream in despair, as the wizzrobe grabbed her.
"And now that you're a female keese, I think I'll trap your soul in this body before torturing it. Keese don't need eyes right?" with that the wizzrobe sealed Link's soul in the keese, before using magic to rip out her eyes, leaving her blind.
The wizzrobe was about to rip off the wings next when he gasped as Alfonzo managed to get close enough to kill him. Alfonzo then picked up Link's keese body and healed it, though she was still blind.
"Don't worry Link," he said bringing Link back onto the train to head back. "I'll make sure you are safe. And Keese have echolocation so I can still teach you how to be an engineer, if you still want to. Though if those wizzrobe's are just in hiding than if another one hears your name is Link, they'll do worse than blind you. So we'll need to give you another name one for a female keese. How about Kana?"
Link was still in shock over everything that happened, and so agreed with the name, but he now she would recover, and even as a keese will still become an engineer.
