Koun Hizuri always thought he can never be wrong, he was always right. But why, does his wife keep proving him wrong, ever since he found out that she wasn't who she seemed to be? If he'd known that she would wreck havoc in the two years he'd left her alone just after marrying her, he would have never left. So why is this gravity pulling him towards the troublemaker? (AU)

1. Prologue

Prologue

"Are you seriously planning to get married?" Kijima Hideto said as soon as his friend came out of the bathroom.

Koun raised an eyebrow, "Whats wrong with that?"

"Please don't tell me, you got someone pregnant from the bar last night!" Kijima exclaimed.

Koun rolled his eyes as he tried to tame his wild blonde hair. "I don't drink on working days, and I certainly never take a woman to bed. Last night, you had brought over a woman and you are running the risk of getting married in an emergency."

"Why are you suddenly planning to marry? Did you fall in love with one of the office girls? But they all are so boring! Always fan girling you and imagining them in your bed—naked!"

Koun's lip twitched. "Kijima, let me make it clear for you. The lady I am marrying is from a respectable family, a daughter of the famous lawyer in Japan. She is well educated, well mannered and obedient. And she happens to be in Japan."

He turned around, in an effect to make his point clear to his dear dense friend. Rolling his eyes the second time, he assessed himself once before he headed out.

"So...arranged marriage? Why?"

Koun didn't really want to answer. He was tired of his parents begging him to find love and marry. But he couldn't care less, since all the woman fell for his looks and money. They were all the same.

At least the woman he chose hadn't seen him yet. According to his records, she'd studied in an all girls school and college too, because her mother thought that it would help her avoid the drama of love. Well, if his wife was highly educated, it would compensate for the money he was willing to give her mother who demanded it.

"I'm 25 now, yet my parents pester me as if I've become 40. So the best solution is to marry some woman to get them off my back. Also, I am just going to Japan to marry that woman then return to Chicago. So she can do whatever she wished to do."

As soon as the heartless man left the penthouse, Kijima sighed. "I wonder if you are ever going to learn to fall in love."
