Prologue: The convergence

My world is exactly like your world, or at least it was. I too used to be an ordinary person like yourself. A normal high school boy who got everything he wanted I had a nice home, a nice family, nice friends, I had everything except what I wanted for a future. The world I lived in was a messed up place people protesting against one another, violence and my world's leaders wouldn't do anything about it.

My name is Scaelux (Scah-lucks). When I was younger, I believed that this world had moved on from such asinine habits but as you get older, you find out that it never changed completely. The more I was exposed to the horrors of my own world, the more I wanted absolutely nothing to do with it, I didn't want to be a part of a world where people resort to violence rather than reason. In order to escape from all the chaos I'd look to fantasy. Specifically video games, they always seemed to chase away all the chaos with interesting people powers and even plots. In the end, they always seemed to have fixed their worlds no matter where they came from. I wanted to be like them, no I wanted to be them. Though in the real world, that would be impossible, I was always devoted to my studies in school and trying to get into a good college. All I ever truly wanted was to help people become better as a whole. "Can't we just work together instead of arguing" I'd tell to everyone but some people just don't care about working together. It looked like what I've seen, what I see and what I will see will be the same exact way the world would be. Until one fateful day.

March: 20* Friday: North Eastern United States

Mother: "How was school?"

Me: "It was great! I got my grade back from my Spanish quiz and I actually scored a 100%!"

Mother: "That's what I'm talking about!"

High Five*

Me: "Is dad still at work?"

Mother: "Yeah he's been getting a whole lot of work because of some big shot client. He's very picky and rude to his associates."

Me: "For crying out loud! When will people learn to get along with one another?"

Mother: "Scaelux I know how you feel about these kinds of things but we'll manage."

Me: "I just wish there was something I could do that's all."

Mother: "Do you want to start working at the factory?"

Me: "No I don't think so all I care about is helping people."

Mother: "You could be an inventor like you wanted since you were 5."

Me: "No."

Mother: "An inspirational motivator?"

Me: "No."

Mother: "Or maybe a music artist."

Me: "NO!"

Mother: ...

Me: "Sorry! I didn't mean to yell."

Mother: "Scaelux I know you don't like this but it's time you try and figure out who you are and what will you do. If you wanna help people then sure but that is something you need to figure out for yourself."

Me: "I know, I just... *sighs* I just can't seem to find out what I want. Let me blunt Mom. The world is a messed up place and anyone who could help isn't doing anything! They just keep on arguing and arguing and arguing! It pisses me of!"

Mother: "Calm down."

Me: "We have stupid people in power not giving a crap about the well being of the citizens. Causing more problems than we need and YOU EXPECT ME TO CALM DOWN!?!?!?!?"

Mother: "Enough! You need a break."

Me: *Sighs* "You're right, I did just work my butt off for that grade, I really need to re-center myself."

Mother: "You must be tired then. At least it's Friday so you should have some time to unwind."

Me: "Thanks Mom."

I went to my room to unwind. It was raining, it was cold but I managed. I then started playing Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind. The data battles and the secret boss were major killers. Luxord was always one of my favorite of the 14 battles. Easy, but was fun fighting the gambler of fate. I always admired the characters, Protagonists and Antagonists alike, especially Sora who had very unyielding courage and strength. I always thought I kinda looked like Sora, only with shorter and less spiky hair, brown eyes and a will to help others. I was usually that guy who was that guy who was the center of attention at school, intelligent, humorous and very stubborn when something seems to be going awry. I was skilled in my education but there in lies the issue my mother was talking about. I have so much knowledge but it's completely useless to me if I don't know what to commit it to. I could never figure out what career I'd want in life. All I could think about is helping people.

It started getting dark outside I took a shower ate Dinner once my father came home and went to bed at 10:30 I always dreamed of a world that was fun, happy and everyone could learn to put aside their differences without hesitation. Those dreams however would decide my fate for the rest of my life and for the rest of the world's existence.

At about Midnight I began feeling a huge tremor. I pinched myself on the back of my hand to make sure I wasn't dreaming and as soon I realized that I wasn't, I began to panic I tried getting my parents but my door couldn't open at all. I tried kicking it down but something kept me from breaking it. The tremor became much louder so I got back in bed and covered myself in my pillows in the event something would fall on top of me and as soon as the tremor was at it's strongest, I noticed a huge flash of Golden light coming from the west side of my house and it grew closer to me, I panicked even more, it got closer, closer, closer and as soon It was only a centimeter in front of me, it suddenly disappeared. I must've eaten something bad so I fixed my pillows and got some more sleep and in 3 seconds I blacked out.

March: Saturday

Mother: "Scaelux." *feeling the warmth of her hand on my shoulder*

Father: "Scaelux!" *I felt the warmth of his hands on my spine shaking me*

Mother and Father: "SCAELUX!!" *I began to slowly wake up*

Me: "Morning guys. What's uuaahh!!" *they both began to give me a huge bear hug and squeezed me tightly*

Me: "Grrnk gu GUYS! I CAN'T BREATHE!" *they slowly began to release me, my skin was feeling numb and my vision was slowly coming to me*

Father: "We thought you'd never wake up"

Me: "I feel like I got hit with a bus or something"

Mother: "You must have. It's already 12:00."

Me: "¿¡QUE?!"

Mother: "C'mon going for a ride into the city"

Me: "The city?! But the rain isn't supposed to stop unti ..." *I looked out my window to see a full ray of sun* "WOW!"

I quickly got ready, I got dressed made my bed, brushed my teeth and hair and we were off to New York City. On the way there, I stared outside my window. The towns we passed by were sunny but for some odd reason my eyes started getting foggy whenever I see something bad going on. I saw a boy about 14 years old getting chased by a group of bullies and when I tried to get a closer look, there was this black fog emanating from the bullies as they harassed the kid.

Me: "Guys look!"

I drew my parents' attention to what was going on since we were at a stop light. They looked disgusted at the sight. But that was when another strange thing happened.

Mother: "What the hell!? That kid better get out of there quickly. Scaelux, I hope you don't get into trouble like that at school. Ganging up 5 to 1 is just cowardly!"

Me:"First of all if I ever saw a bully I wouldn't hold back my Kung-Fu training on them. Second how can you tell there's 5?"

Father: "What do you mean? Anyone can see that there's 5 of them on that kid."

Since the Black fog was obscuring my view, I could easily tell that I'm the only one who can see the fog. But as soon as I arrows to get a closer look, the light turned green and we continued onward to New York City!

We arrived at Central Park where a festival was being held, there was a merry go round a roller coaster, you name it. I had so much fun. Eventually at sunset, we went to this restaurant that was built in the side of a hill and waited to be served. When I went out I was always kind of nervous of stains so I had a habit of wearing dark clothing so I wouldn't have to worry about stains if I ever got any, only now I wasn't wearing any dark clothing, and at the same time I realized that I didn't have to.

I ordered a steak cutlet with a salad and was waiting for my entree. The restaurant was loud and lively with a jazz band playing which almost got me grooving in my seat. I then saw the waiter carrying our dishes to our table and as soon he was about 6 to 7 feet from our table he tripped on the cord that the speakers were connected to and the food went flying! At first time stood still. But then, I started moving with great speed, catching all three dishes with my arms and with my left knee. Not a single piece of food fell from the plates and I was holding my balance like a statue on my right leg. The whole restaurant was staring at me with awe and after 6 seconds they all started to cheer and clap for me, even my parents were amazed (though I was probably getting recorded as my parents were taking the food off of me). When I sat down, I checked my entire person for stains and used a mirror on the other side of the room. Not a single drop of sauce on my person.

We then paid the check and went home for the night. But I wasn't just staring out my window, I was deep in thought.

Me:What is going on? First I see a group of boys covered in black fog that only I could see, and now I saved my parents and I from flying food bombs.Wait could that yellow thing last night have something to do with it. That felt so real. But if that really was a tremor, wouldn't mom and dad feel that too?

When we got back I decided to do a little bit of Kung Fu to see if anything else happened, and some things DID happen. My punches and kicks had better power, my reaction speed was almost as fast as sound and my movement was as fluid as water. I wanted to tell my parents the results but I was met with some shocking news!

My parents were distraught with sadness and worry when they finished a phone call with my aunts and uncles. I asked what was going on and they told me that my cousins, Endraxe (end-racks), Camonixe (Cam-oh-neeks-ay), Sojaxen (Soh-jacks-sen), Exbellisa (Ex-bell-is-uh) and Nieldaxe (Nee-el-dacks) had suddenly disappeared as of that morning.

I asked my parents what on earth was going on but they were very emotionally unstable upon hearing the news. Then I tried bringing up what was happening over the course of that day and it may have been connected to what happened the previous night.

Mother: "Wait a wave of Golden light came over our house, causing a tremor that only you can feel and a part of it came into your room and disappeared?! Scaelux your not making any sense, how does something like that have anything to do with your cousins?"

Me: "I'm telling you the truth. Why in my right mind would I make up something as far fetched as that and gain nothing from it?"

Father: "We probably should've left you sleeping, your thoughts are out of control let's just leave this to the police."

Me: "I'm telling you that something weird is going on. I'd never lie about something like this!"

Father: "Then why should this thing that happened have anything to do with your cousin's disappearance?!"

My parents were starting to lose their temper so I walked outside to my back yard to think and they followed. I tried searching my mind for a reason but my mind was blank.

Me: "I... I... I DON'T KNOW! I JUST HAVE THIS FEELING THAT THEY'RE CONNECTED OKAY!?"

I then realized I yelled at my parents for something they believed was nonsense. I started to cry covering my eyes and my parents comforted me.

Father: "Hey, I know that this is rough but you've got to pull yourself together."

Mother: "We'll find them I can promise you that. Come on let's just get some sleep."

I followed them across the yard but I still stood firm by my belief that the wave was connected to my cousins' disappearance. My tears stained my clothes and my parents were calling me but I didn't move. They then began to walk over in an effort to comfort me more, only for me to be snapped back to reality at the sound of my mother's scream!

We turned on the yard lights to find hideous black insect-like creatures with yellow eyes coming out of the ground! They were coming towards us creepily and pounced! I did high roundhouse to clear them away but that only knocked them back. I tried everything, every technique, every attack but they kept on coming and coming and eventually they surrounded my parents who were frightened of the creatures as they dog-piled them! I proceeded to clear them away but there were too many of them. I began to get exhausted, my muscles aching, my throat dry, my bones brittle, my body was starting to give in, but not my heart!

Suddenly a bright flash emanating from my hand started to repel the creatures leaving my parents unharmed. They were creeping backwards in fear and in awe of that light. I then felt an object coming from that light. I took it and it materialized into a weapon! A kind of odd sword, I couldn't make out what it was because the flash was still in my eyes but with full determination, I got into a stance holding the blade backwards with my right hand similar to Ventus' wielding style in kingdom hearts birth by sleep and Aqua's wielding style holding it behind me and bracing my left arm in front of me, and then I was ready to fight!

I struck back with valor and strength, cutting all the creatures down until a much larger one, in the shape of a ball and stubby feet and arms started charging at me. I blocked it with all my strength but my blade bounced off of the creature upon impact dropping my guard, but I didn't let that stop me. I slid on the grass to get behind the fiend and struck with a series of blows to its back and head eventually destroying it!

Quivering in fear, the creatures began to disappear after I brought the big one down and they fled. Though I won and protected my parents, the large one started to disintegrate into black fog and when it cleared, a heart shaped crystal, seeming to be made out of ruby or garnet started to float up into the sky and the smaller ones I took down followed. I was in awe seeing them sparkle in the sky, and so were my parents. I then looked at the weapon I used to fight and it wasn't some normal sword, it was in the shape of a key!

Me: "A keyblade?! What is... going on!?"

The keyblade had the shape of the Kingdom Key, Sora's first keyblade, but it didn't have the same colors. The yellow guard of the blade was pitch black dotted with an odd scaly pattern and the blade of the keyblade was much lighter and shinier, almost like if it was made of some strong metal. And the blue stripe above the keyblade glowed with a sort of gentle light like stars in the sky with a small backdrop transitioning from light blue to dark blue every three seconds. Finally, I looked at the keychain, the links of the chain were smooth but hard and at the end, where you would usually see Mickey's emblem, was 2 dragons, one made out of bright silver and the other made of dark obsidian. Both dragons formed a yin yang like pattern to form the end of the keychain.

The blade was filled with mystery and it was realer than you could imagine. But then a grim thought filled my mind with worry.

Me: If this is actually a keyblade, then were those things that attacked us... HEARTLESS!?!?
