Summary: One shots about Brock. Because Brock deserves more attention. Will post ideas as they come to me. If you have requests, let me know.
Chapter 1: The Hens
Mandy stifled a sigh and rolled her neck tiredly, trying to get the cracks and kinks out. It had been a long day and was shaping up to be an even longer night. She'd left the stuffy confines of the Command Center and headed for the Mess Hall, determined to find some food and a change of scenery. The hall was busy for the late hour. She found a spot in the far corner of the room, set her files down next to her salad and opened the top one to get back to work while she ate. No rest for the weary when target packages were being put together. She spied the boys of Bravo sitting on the other side of the room, laughing and joking around while they ate and she smiled at the sight. It had been a tough few days for the group and she was happy to see them having some fun together. She thought about joining them, then quickly changed her mind. She had work to do. Her eyes skimmed over the words on the page she was trying to read when slivers of nearby conversation caught her attention. A group of women, mid 20s, were seated together at the opposite end of the table, heads close, talking excitedly.
"Is that them?"
"Yeah, that's the new SEAL team. Bravo. They are legends."
Mandy smiled. They were rockstars in J-Bad. She couldn't help but feel a little proud of her boys. More conversation floated her way and she couldn't help but listen while she pretended to read. This was more interesting at the moment anyway.
"Look how big they are. Geez."
"And hot."
"I hear they are married."
"Not all of them. And definitely not the hottest two over there. Damn, those men are fine."
Mandy glanced over, unable to help the desire to see who they were talking about. Brock and Clay. She smiled. Of course. Bravo's youngest two members were definitely attention worthy.
"I hear they both have girlfriends." One of the women said, unable to keep the pout out of her voice.
"Blondie does, but I've been told that the brunette with the amazing eyes just broke up with his. That boy is single."
That statement came as a shock to Mandy. She'd only just found out about the breakup the other day when she'd overheard Brock telling Trent about it. She wasn't surprised by the news, he'd only been dating Cynthia for a few months and it hadn't seemed serious. And Mandy had never really seen Cynthia as someone who would wait around for someone to come back from a long deployment. But she was shocked that some random woman in the Mess Hall was privy to the information. How the hell had she found out? Brock was pretty private, it's not like he was going around telling strangers he was single.
"Oooooh, a guy in need of a rebound! I love it. I could help him forget about his ex, for sure."
"You know," a blond woman began thoughtfully, "Blondie over there is gorgeous in a conventional way…muscles, blond hair, blue eyes…and don't get me wrong, I'd do him in a heartbeat…but the curly brunette with the amazing gray eyes is gorgeous on a whole new level. Is it just me or is he super hot?"
"Omagod! Right! I was thinking the same thing! Something about him really gets me going!" Her friend gushed, making Mandy frown for a second. The women were right, Brock was extremely good looking, in a rugged and mysterious sort of way. His quiet confidence only made him more interesting, Mandy often thought.
"I'm gonna fuck him for sure." the blond girl said, laughing.
"Natalie!"
"What? He's here for, like, three months? Plenty of time to entice him into bed."
"You know nothing about him!"
"I know more than you think." THe women…Natalie, said slyly. Mandy was all ears now. "His name is Brock. The dog next to him is his K-9 partner…"
"That is so hot. I love a guy who loves animals."
"Quiet, Sherry, I've already called dibs." Natalie scowled at her friend. "Anyway, as I was saying, he runs every morning with the dog at 6am…I've seen him every day this week…and trains with him in their barracks yard every afternoon. It's so cool to watch."
"How do you see that, their section of camp is fenced off."
"I look through the gaps in the fence, Sherry. Geez."
Mandy made a mental note to mention their voyeur to Jason when she next saw him. She also thought about mentioning that Brock apparently had a stalker. She hid a smile and glanced at the men across the hall. They looked to be finishing their meal and were standing to leave. Brock picked up his tray, laughing loudly at something Sonny said, Cerb standing up with him.
"Mmmmmmm, so hot." Natalie murmured, also watching the scene. "Imagine the sounds that boy makes in bed."
Mandy's eyes went wide. Geez, Natalie, calm down.
Brock walked to the trash can, oblivious to the looks he was getting from the women in the room, and dumped his leftovers into the bin. He bent over to give Cerb a small scrap of food and the girls near Mandy gasped as one.
Natalie sighed. "Look at that ass. Damn. Did I tell you Gay Sam saw him in the shower last week?"
"Yeah?" Sherry laughed. "Did he get a look at his little SEAL?"
Natalie smirked. "From what Sam says, there is nothing little about that man's seal, if you know what I mean."
"Really?"
"Uh huh. Sam was completely flustered."
Mandy almost choked. Were these women really talking about Brock's…little seal…right here in the cafeteria? Jesus! And who the hell was Sam and why was he watching Brock in the showers? Yeah, she really needed to have a conversation with Jason. This was getting ridiculous.
"I'm told there is a small peak hole in the shower he uses in the morning, I'm gonna try and grab a glance tomorrow morning." Nathalie was continuing.
All the women laughed, also professing their desire to "get a peak". Mandy couldn't help the feelings of protection that hit when they said that. No one took advantage of one of her boys. Not even for a peak. She jotted a few things down on a sheet of paper, determined to look into these stalker girls and Sam, when she got a free moment. Terrorists came first, but Brock was one of her boys and she would make sure he was safe. And wherever that hole was, it was getting fixed tonight. She would make sure of it.
At the other end of the Mess Hall, Full Metal was also noticing the looks their young brother was getting from the females in the room. He watched the younger man make his way across the room and suddenly burst out laughing. Jason looked up at him in confusion.
"What? What's so funny?"
Metal snorted. "Looks like the hens are on the hunt."
"No." Jason paled. "Fuck, who? Not one of mine?"
"None other than Brocky boy himself. Check it out."
Jason looked around. Sure enough, most female heads had turned to watch his dog handler.
"Shit. Fucking shit. We do not need this."
"Yeah, Jace. Those women will eat him alive." Metal continued to laugh. "He won't know what hit him."
"Nah. No. I'm not dealing with this. Bravo 5!" Jason's yell echoed through the room, bringing all eyes immediately to him. True to his training, Brock turned quickly at the sound and stared back at Jason, his alarm evident. "You will not have sex with anyone on this base. No. One." Jason fixed everyone in the room with a glare, feeling slightly guilty when Brock paled, then turned beat red. This was for his own good. "That is an order, Bravo 5."
"Um….Copy that, Bravo 1." Brock answered formally, looking completely mortified.
"Dismissed."
Brock didn't waste any time retreating from the room, clearly horrified by what Jason had just said. The room remained quiet for a few more seconds after he left, then muted conversation resumed. Jason turned back to his food, ignoring the look Metal was giving him.
"It was for his own good." Jason merely said.
"Yeah, but that was brutal." Metal told him. "Hil—fucking—larious, but brutal. The kid will be hiding all week."
"Hiding is better than the alternative. I will not have him distracted by the hens. I need his head in the game."
Mandy watched in absolute shock as Brock turned and almost ran from the room, his face bright red. The women at her table also looked shocked.
Then Natalie spoke. "That. Was. So. Hot."
"Wasn't it though, omagod! Forbidden fruit is so much more delicious!" Sherry gushed.
"Shut it, Sherry. He's mine. And that Master Chief…wow, what a silver fox! Think his marriage is serious? So commanding. I wonder if I could talk them both into some action? Imagine how hot it would be to have the Master Chief ordering us all around like that." Her eyes all but rolled back into her head. "Wow, that would be amazing."
Mandy hid a snort behind her hand. Across the Mess, Jason and Full Metal were dumping their trays and heading out, Jason still scowling. The women sighed one last time before gathering up their own trays to leave.
"So fine." Natalie murmured, leading her friends away.
Mandy finished her salad and gathered up her own things, deciding to head back to the Command Center to get some actual work done. While the Mess had been interesting, it hadn't helped her find her latest target and she needed to get back to it and soon. She ran into Jason on her walk across the base. She gave him a smirk.
"Quite the show in there."
Jason raised an eyebrow. "Saw that, did yah? Had to be done. I can't have Brock distracted by those women all deployment. We have a slaughtered team to avenge."
Mandy nodded solemnly. "I get that. And believe me, after what I just heard, those women would eat our boy alive. He wouldn't stand a chance."
Jason laughed. "No, probably not. I saved him some trouble."
"On the contrary, Silver Fox," Mandy laughed, "You just made him…and yourself…that much more desirable to those women. Now they want a threesome."
"I'm sorry, what?" Jason sputtered.
"Have fun with that!"
"Not happening." Jason groaned. "Absolutely never happening."
Mandy continued to laugh as she walked away. Life with Bravo was never boring, that was for sure. She stopped, suddenly remembering a key piece of information that Jason needed to know. She turned around and looked him in the eye. "Tell Brock to only shower in the team showers from now on, if he values his privacy and his virtue. At least until I find the hole."
"Hole? What hole? Mandy, what the hell are you talking about? His virtue?"
Mandy just smirked as she turned away, Jason watching her leave. These women were getting crazier and crazier every deployment. He'd have to watch his youngest guys more closely, none of them were up to the challenge of the base hens. Not even close.
The End
