The lake that resided on the border of the Kingdoms of Hoshido and Nohr was arguably one of the most peaceful spots in the land. It was here that Princess Azura like to sit and meditate, seeing what visions she could in the water she was able to manipulate with her magic and song.
She knelt by the water's edge doing just that. The sun was beginning to set, casting a soft orange glow over the clearing. As she sang her song, the water swirled around her in majestic patterns. Her eyes were closed as she meditated and her expression was calm…briefly.
Suddenly, a vision came to her mind. She could vividly see a battlefield in its aftermath; the bodies of fallen soldiers lay everywhere. Most surprisingly was that she could recognize the armor of both Nohr and Hoshido, along with another faction she had never seen before. The fallen warriors were mixed in with the dead bodies of hideous monsters that Azura couldn't even bring herself to picture, but it also posed an interesting question.
"Did Nohr and Hosido…" she asked herself, "work together?"
Suddenly, a creature's pained cries sounded out from nearby, and Azura quickly turned to see a skinny, ghoulish creature struggling as its neck was in the grip of an armored person. His hair was blue and spiked up towards the front, and his armor was damaged and scratched, though Azura could make out the crest of Nohr vividly. As the ghoul struggled, the armored warrior lifted a weapon the princess wasn't expecting: a large sword with and angular design on the hilt. A blue gem glowed in its center.
"A Falchion!" she quietly gasped. Suddenly, the figure brought the sword down on the monster, killing it. Azura instinctively gasped at the sight, but then the figure turned to face her, and Azura was horrified at the sight of a horribly, and freshly, scarred face and pale, white eyes, the mark of a powerful spell.
Suddenly, the vision cut out, and Azura's eyes snapped open. As she caught her breath, trying to calm herself down, she began to feel a sense of dread; she could see the face past those fresh wounds. If what she saw was indeed something that will happen in the future, then she needed to find a way to, hopefully, try and avoid it.
Standing up, Azura hurried towards the Kingdom of Nohr. She had to warn Xander; a member of his family was in grave danger…
