Six years had passed since the coronation of the new kings and queens and Narnia had started flourishing under the young monarchs, and by doing so, won the affection of all Talking Beasts; small and big alike. Cair Paravel had become a hustling,bustling centre of activity and many Narnians came to seek employment in this shining beacon of the Eastern Ocean . The Narnians adored all their kings and queens ,but they loved their youngest Queen in particular.

Within the first month of their coronation, the little queen had gone all over the country visiting each and every Narnian in their home. Oreius and the small brand of army,who had gone with her as her guard, were amazed at the way she interacted with everyone and made a permanent place for herself in their hearts. A month later, she had returned to Cair Paravel, exhausted and happy and had fallen into the arms of her siblings.

As the days passed, the siblings' love for Aslan and Narnia grew as vast and pure like the country they were blessed with. The Pevensies had grown a lot closer as well and the three older siblings in particular, loved the little queen deeply and her brothers found it impossible to say no to her and often get scolded by Susan for pampering her to bits. But despite the scoldings, the brothers found themselves indulging her more than ever, much to Susan's chagrin. But for all her good qualities, the young queen had a terrible flaw, one that often got her into trouble. She had a habit of wandering about and going off to Aslan knows where without telling anybody. Her siblings found it necessary to check on her every hour so as to save themselves from heart attacks.

Now in the sixth year of their reign, on one cold autumn night, Susan was making her way to Edmund's room to see if her younger sister was with her brother since she couldn't find her anywhere in the castle.

Once she reached the Just king's chambers, she knocked on the door twice and then opened it, closing it softly behind her. Going through the large sitting room , she entered her younger brother's huge bedroom. To her amusement, she saw Edmund slowly walking the length of his bedroom with his sister's tiny body in his arms, humming a lullaby and pressing kisses to the fourteen year old's head which was buried in his neck. Her eyes were slowly starting to droop and Edmund softened his voice a little. His ever alert chocolate brown eyes flashed to her and he smiled, extending his hand towards her and she took it, her delicate fingers interlacing with his calloused ones.

"You are are a natural Ed. " she said in a fond, amused tone as Lucy's eyes closed completely. The younger king shrugged. "Where is Peter ? " He asked in a quiet voice. "He is still working in his study." Susan said unhappily.

"Sodding stubborn prat." Edmund muttered under his breath, taking the soft wool blanket from his bed and wrapped his baby sister in it, and made to lay her down on the bed but the petite fourteen year old gave a soft whimper of protest which completely melted her brother's heart.

"Stay here,while I get that idiot." He said, gathering his sister back into his arms and Susan watched in amusement as he strode out of the room.

Grumbling softly, the teenager made his way through the castle's corridors to his brother's study which was on the other side of the Cair Paravel. Several of the nocturnal beasts greeted him as he passed them, smiling knowingly as they saw their youngest queen cradled in his arms . The young king smiled in return at everybody as he hurried to his brother's study.

As soon as he reached his destination, he threw the huge set of double doors open, earning a startled yelp from the only occupant inside.

Edmund strode inside and walking behind his brother's chair, smacked the High King sharply on his head.

"Ow!" came the indignant yelp. "What was that for ?" Peter exclaimed annoyed, rubbing the smarting area on his head.

"Because you are a sodding, stubborn prat who needs to bloody remember that he is a bloody human." Edmund hissed, leaning against the huge desk and carefully adjusting his grip on the tiny bundle in his arms . Upon hearing his words, the High king gave a small, tired chuckle which wearily lit up his exhausted face and his brother gave a deep growl. Taking a deep breath, the Just king carefully laid his little sister on a nearby couch and tenderly brushed come loose strands from her face and tucked them behind her ear before gently kissing her forehead. Then he stood up and walked to his older brother who raised his eyebrow at him.

Instead of scolding him, Edmund settled himself on the chair's arm and hugged him gently." You don't have to do everything by yourself, you know" He said, resting his chin on the top of Peter's head as the High king's arms wrapped around him." We love you Peter and we care for you, so please don't overwork yourself. As it is you have not yet recovered from your cold. Do you want to overexert yourself and spend another three weeks in bed?" the young king asked, gently carding his long fingers through Peter's blonde hair.

"No,of course not!" came the rather horrified reply and Edmund chuckled. "Well, then get it inside your thick skull that you are a human and you need rest." He said and Peter laughed. "As you say your most gracious Highness." "Good." "Edmund retorted, dropping a kiss on the top of his head. "What happened to Lu ?" Peter asked in concern and Edmund sighed. "She came to me saying that she could not sleep and asked whether she could sleep with me. That's all." "But then why did you carry her here ? " Peter mused "Well, I was trying to put her to sleep when Susan came in searching for her and told me that you were still in your study. But when I made to put her down on the bed, she just gave a soft whimper and well, then you know." the younger king gave his brother a helpless look which the High king knew very well .

Peter grinned and then got up from his chair, walking towards the tiny bundle that was his youngest sister and scooped her up gently, cuddling her close.

"Peter." the fourteen year old murmured in her sleep and her brother let out a soft laugh. "Pete, I was thinking," "Don't do that, you will hurt yourself." Peter interjected with a smirk. "As I was saying, can we take a break tomorrow? You know, just for sometime. We have been so busy lately with all those Fell beasts sightings that we haven't even spent time with Su and Lu in so long." Edmund asked, while taking Lucy's small hand in his.

"How about we take them for a ride? To that lagoon we found the other day? Lu has been badgering us to take them there for so long." Peter asked.

"That's a good idea, Pete." the sixteen year old King a said grinning.

" But won't it be to cold for us to go there?" asked a voice from behind them.

" Su, do you really think that Peter and I would let you and Lu get cold ?" Edmund asked chuckling as she walked closer to them.

"Come here." he said and she walked right into his arms, snuggling closer to his warm body.

"Its freezing tonight isn't it ? " the gentle queen murmured.

" Let's go to my room "Peter said, as he saw Susan shiver.

The four siblings hurried to the High King's room and Peter left to change into his night clothes while Edmund gently lay Lucy on the centre of the huge bed.

He went to the windows and opened one just a little to let fresh air in while Susan climbed in an Lucy's left.

"Ed, come in under the blankets or you will catch a cold." the eighteen year old said in a motherly tone and he rolled his eyes fondly but nonetheless obeyed her. He got in an Lucy's right and wrapped his arm around his girls, his hand resting on Susan's waist, tucking them in his embrace .

" Sweet dreams, girls. " the Just king whispered, tenderly kissing his sisters's foreheads.

When Peter came out of the bathroom dressed in his night clothes, his heart melted at the sight He got in behind Susan and wrapped his arm around all of them ,kissing each of their foreheads.

Sleep soon claimed him and all of them rested peacefully in warm embraces.

The next morning found both Pevensie sisters nestled in their older brothers chests and heads tucked in the crook of their necks.

Lucy was clinging to Edmund like a baby koala with one leg thrown over his waist and both arms wrapped around his chest while his were wrapped around her protectively. While Susan was half lying on Peter's chest with one arm wrapped around him and one hand holding his as he held her tightly .

As the first ways of the sun shone on their faces, the two eldest Pevensies stirred and blearily opened their eyes. Susan yawned and shifted but her brother tightened his grip on her and she looked up at his face. He threw a pointed look in their younger siblings' direction and she sleepily turned to look at them, feeling a smile spread across her face. "They look so adorable."" She whispered as she softly stroked Lucy's dark brown locks.

"Finally! You are awake!" came the youngest sibling's sweet voice and both of them were startled so badly that Susan let out a short scream. Upon hearing her cry out, Edmund woke up with a jump, eyes wide and alert immediately.

But when he looked around and saw his older siblings' startled, half - awake faces and then the laughing little body in his arms, he quickly deduced what had happened.

Upon seeing his lazy, amused smirk Peter and Susan immediately composed themselves and wiped the panicked expressions off their faces.

"Lucy!" came two annoyed voices, clearly not amused at all.

"Oops?" Lucy offered, giggling and hiding her face in her brother's slightly shaking shoulders.

"You better run, you little troll!"
