Hey guys, Legend here!

Midnight: Well hello, Miss I'm Back But I'm Not Going to Write Anything Until 5 Months Later.

...ouch. Anyways, I was looking back through a few chapters of Every Action Matters and decided to just get it out of the way and rewrite it. Because let's be honest, there's a lot of things in the old version that make absolutely zero sense.

Midnight: And now, we're going to fix those things!

But anyways, we're running out of time for the intro, you guys will see the changes as time goes on. On to the chapter! (Man it feels good saying that again)

This game responds to the choices you make. The story is tailored by how you play.

Choose wisely, because every action matters.

"Wait... that last part wasn't there before." Sitting in pajamas, there was a girl, just about to revisit one of her favorite games. Pretty much everything about her seemed normal, aside from the fact that she was short for her age.

Things have changed since you last played Minecraft: Story Mode. Be aware that there may be more choices you have to make.

"Huh, I don't think the game's had an update in a while..." The girl muttered to herself, wondering if anyone else had seen this odd message. She got up for just a moment, pushing her dark brown hair out of her eyes.

What she'd missed then, was another message.

Be careful.

When she came back however, all she saw was the episode screen for the game. All seemed normal, until she noticed a figure standing behind the other characters, one she'd never seen before. Strangely enough, this new person seemed to have many of the same features that she did. Same dark brown hair that went down to their back, same dark brown eyes hiding an entire world of thoughts behind them, same fair skin (Okay, maybe that one was just a coincidence).

The girl went online, trying to find any clues as to who this character was, but all she found were the ones from season 2, back when no one really knew that much about them, when they were still brand new.

"Well that's... weird. Surely I'm not the only one who's seen this." But from the looks of it, she was.

Still, she pressed play, expecting nothing different from the usual fade to black before the opening narration that she'd seen far too many times before.

But nothing happened at first.

As she began to wonder if something was wrong with her game, or the controller, she failed to notice the controller light suddenly switching off, then turning back on and glowing a bright purple, followed by the light on the game console. She did notice, though, when the game crashed. Well, it didn't necessarily crash, but the entire screen went black before her vision quickly followed suit.

Nothing built can last forever. And every legend no matter how great, fades with time.

With each passing year, more and more details are lost until all that remains are myths... half truths.

To put it simply: lies.

And yet in all the known universe, between here and the Far Lands...

The legend of the ORDER OF THE STONE endures, unabridged, as self-evident fact.

Indeed, it is only a troubled land that has need for heroes -

And ours was fortunate to have, so long ago, four heroes such as these:

Gabriel the Warrior - Before whose sword all combatants would tremble.

Ellegaard the Redstone Engineer - Whose machines would spark an era of invention.

Magnus the Rogue - Who would channel his destructive creativity for the benefit of all.

And Soren the Architect - Builder of worlds.

And leader of the Order of the Stone.

These FOUR friends together, would give so much to gain their rightful place as FOUR heroes.

Their greatest quest would take them on a dangerous journey to fight a mysterious creature known as the Ender Dragon.

In the end, the Order of the Stone emerged victorious and the dragon was defeated. Their story complete, they slipped away into the pages of legend.

But when one story ends, another one begins.

? POV

When I woke up, a familiar, yet completely new scene greeted me.

I was in a forest, not too far from a grass path leading to somewhere. And when I looked up, I had to cover my eyes, thanks to the sun shining right above me.

Somehow, even though I was pretty sure I had landed after some sort of fall, nothing really hurt. That wasn't to say that I was eager to stand up, it still took me about a full five minutes before I figured out how my arms and legs worked all over again. Now that I could stand, I took the opportunity to look around to find out where exactly I was.

Nothing really stood out to me though, at least not from where I was standing. But when I turned so that I faced the grass path, I saw an oddly familiar looking treehouse just barely in view. That was just another thing I couldn't understand; Why did everything look so familiar yet so new?

Deciding to figure it out later, I set out down the grass path, somehow knowing and not knowing where exactly I was going.

It was only when I saw the setup for some kind of competition that I noticed something.

That treehouse... I thought I recognized that! It's Jesse's treehouse, from the game! And this competition is for Endercon...

And that's when it all came back to me.

'Am I... inside Minecraft Story Mode?'

A/N

Midnight: But I thought-

I did say that some things would be different, didn't I?

Midnight: Well, yeah, but I didn't think that you were going to not introduce me in the first chapter.

Well, that'll be next chapter anyway.

Midnight: So are they not having the competition right now then?

Midnight, hush, I'm trying to end the chapter.

Midnight: And I'm trying to ask a question.

All will be revealed in due time.

Midnight: You always say that...

Anyways, hopefully you enjoyed this prologue/first chapter. I'll see you soon!
