Hey, folks! I'm not dead, just been pretty lazy and had a bit of writer's block. But now I'm back and ready to throw in another Pride Team Adventure. Now, I know I still have one saga to finish, but I just can't help myself. This is another Pride Team Ice Age Adventure, and it takes place after an adventure that hasn't been written here yet called 'The Pride Team Adventures: Simba's Pride'. Time for disclaimers! I don't own Pokemon, the Lion King, Ice Age, CatDog, the Angry Beavers, or Sonic the Hedgehog, even though that will come near the end. This fic was made just for fun.
Now then, enjoy the Pride Team's 4th Ice Age Adventure!
A couple of weeks have passed since the Pride Team's battle against Zira's own team of Outsiders, things were back to normal and the animals and Pokemon of the world couldn't be happier.
Well...there are some Pokemon that are still a little sore. That some Pokemon happen to be Sneasel and Wynaut, two members of the actual Outsiders. Right now, the two of them were climbing up a tall mountain to get their minds off of Max and the rest of the Pride Team.
Sneasel took in a deep breath. After a couple of seconds, he exhaled through his mouth. "This is more like it. A nice quiet day with my good blue buddy, doing whatever we want without having to worry about...them." He scowled when he said 'them'.
Wynaut was able to finally catch up with his friend. "I agree that this is a fun way to spend the day, but how come it's just us? Shouldn't we have invited some of the others to join us?"
"I was gonna, but most of them had plans." Sneasel replied. "What about Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed?" Wynaut asked. Sneasel shrugged. "They've been up all night hunting for some food, so they're back at the Elephant Graveyard sleeping."
"So, it's pretty much just the two of us?" Wynaut asked. "Yep, just you and me, buddy. It actually works out fine since it's been a while since we've done something that doesn't involve getting our tails kicked by the Pride Team." Sneasel smiled as he began walking forward. "Nice cool breeze, bright sunny day, not to mention no sign of Lightning Tail. I'm telling ya, Wynaut, I can't think of anything that would make this day even better!" Just after he said that...he suddenly, and without warning, tripped on something. "Ow!"
Wynaut rushed over to his friend. "You okay, Sneasel?" The Sharp Claw Pokemon got up and looked annoyed. "Just when I was starting to really enjoy myself. What did I trip on?"
Wynaut looked at what Sneasel tripped on. "I think it might've been this thing." Sneasel's anger melted into confusion once he saw that his Bright Pokemon friend held what looks like a light blue emerald in his hands. "What in the name of Regice is that?"
"Seems like some sort of emerald." Wynaut answered. Sneasel raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. "Get real, Wynaut. Everyone knows that emeralds are green, not light blue. For all we know, it could be just some piece of rock candy that some icy Sandshrew left behind."
"But, Sneasel, it could be some sort of special, and incredibly rare glowing emerald." Wynaut said. That got Sneasel's attention. "Rare AND glowing?"
As the two Outsiders talked to each other about the mysterious gem, another familiar face was scampering around the top of the mountain. It's none other than Scrat, who was sniffing around to find the perfect place to hide his prized acorn.
Wynaut nodded and looked at the gem. "It must be. This is the first time I've ever seen a glowing gem before." "Here, let me have a closer look." Sneasel held the gem in his claws in order to get a good long look. "Hmm...Well, it does look nice."
Once Scrat found a spot for his nut, he happily jammed it at the spot. However, doing so made the ground around the three of them rumble. While Sneasel and Wynaut tried to stay on their feet, Scrat panicked, quickly pulled his acorn off the ground and put some ice in the hole to cover it up. That made the rumbling stop.
Sneasel turned his head to glare at Scrat a little. "Do you mind? My buddy and I are trying to get a good look at this gem!" Scrat smiled apologetically and tried to find another spot for his nut.
Letting the saber-tooth squirrel do his own thing, Sneasel went back to looking at the glowing gem with Wynaut. "Okay, so what do we know about this thing?"
Wynaut smiled. "Well, we know that it's a glowing gem. It looks valuable. Maybe we can get a lot of money if we try selling it."
"Selling it?" Sneasel repeated. Wynaut nodded. "It could get us enough cash to find a new place to live, it could be enough to give Ursaring and Mankey teir own private gym, and it could give our hyena friends a very tasty three-course meal!"
As the ideas came to him, Sneasel began to smirk. "Or their own all-you-can-eat buffet. This is perfect!" As he kept talking, Scrat was slowly and carefully trying to place his acorn in a different spot. "Wynaut, my friend, I think we've stumbled into something that could set us for life! This day just got a whole lot better!" As Sneasel wrapped an arm around Wynaut and held the gem up high with the other hand, he proclaimed. "Nothing could possibly ruin this day now!" But he spoke too soon, because just as Scrat simply tapped the spot with his acorn...the mountain not only cracked a lot, it also split in half. Now Sneasel, Wynaut, and Scrat were in the air, looking horrified. "Spoke too soon." Sneasel deadpanned while Scrat whimpered.
The three of them screamed as they fell down through the big crack. They stopped screaming a little when they passed by the Underground Dino World, and as they fell, they saw Buck having another match with Rudy. "YEE-HA!" Buck even happily shouted while Rudy let out an annoyed roar when the one-eyed weasel got on his back for another ride.
Sneasel, Wynaut, and even Scrat looked at each other in confusion as they kept falling. They used their hands to try and stop falling, but they ended up setting their hands on fire. The three of them yelped and try to blow their hands out...but the rest of their bodies caught on fire and that made them scream and flail.
They kept falling and falling, right through the planet itself. Finally, all three of them landed on top of what seems like the inner core. Sneasel groaned. "Oh man, what a fall." As he, Wynaut, and Scrat got to their feet, they looked around. "Now where are we?"
"Serene Planet's core." Wynaut answered. "How do you know that?" Sneasel asked. "I looked at the sign." Wynaut pointed to a random sign that says 'Welcome to Serene Planet's core'. "...Okay?" Sneasel said slowly in confusion.
Scrat and the other two looked away from the sign and saw that both the acorn and the glowing gem were a couple of feet away, so Scrat took one step to get his acorn. When he did, the land suddenly cracked a little and the rumbling made Scrat stop as they looked up. "What was that?" Wynaut asked...just before both the gem and the nut began rolling.
Sneasel saw this and gasped. "Hey!" Scrat screamed as well. Then all three of them ran to chase after the gem and the acorn. Their running was making the core spin around in place. And what they didn't know was that it was making more of the land crack up. They almost caught their prizes, but they missed and quickly turned around to keep the chase going and unknowingly keep cracking the land all over Serene Planet. There was even a time when they tripped and bounced against the spinning core and the walls around the core, creating some comedic monuments of themselves as they did.
Finally having enough of the nonsense, Scrat screamed and ran with all of his might until he finally got a chance to hug his prized acorn close. But, since the core was spinning pretty fast, Scrat began to spin along with it once his tail simply touched the core. He even bumped into Sneasel and Wynaut. Scrat was able to use his nut to hold on to the edge of the wall, but the rest of his body stretched and became tangled on the core and Sneasel and Wynaut.
While being squeezed, Sneasel saw that the gem was now falling down. "No!" Able to get his claws free, he managed to catch the glowing gem. "Yes!"
Wynaut looked around, and he gulped once he saw that the core was beginning to turn the other way. "Uh-oh!" The core began to unravel and Scrat held on to his acorn for dear life. The nut was pulled off the wall and Scrat was now spinning around with Sneasel and Wynaut.
Suddenly, all three of them were launched up high upon Serene Planet with Scrat holding on to his acorn and Sneasel clinging to the glowing light-blue gem. All three of them screamed even as they fell back down and saw some lands below them separating. They stopped screaming once they saw that they were about to land in the water. Wynaut even shrugged. "Well, I did say I wanted to go swimming today." Sneasel, Wynaut, and even Scrat took a deep breath and got ready to dive...only to land hard on a small iceberg.
"Ow! Hard, ice, butt!" Sneasel rubbed his sore bottom with one hand and held the gem with the other. Scrat groaned, but smiled once he saw his nut in front of him. But after landing hard on the iceberg, it split in half. Sneasel, Wynaut, and Scrat on one half and the acorn on the other half. Seeing that his prized nut was floating away from him, he desperately tried to swim over to get it back, but the current was pulling them apart.
Wynaut shook his head to shake off the pain. "Wow, that was weird." He turned his head to his partner. "While I'm glad we still got the gem, should we be worried by the rumbling while we were running on the core?"
Sneasel shrugged it off. "Nonsense. How can you, me, and that crazy squirrel running on the planet's core possibly effect the whole planet in anyway?" Just after Sneasel asked that, Scrat let out a desperate scream for his acorn that was floating off to sea.
The Pride Team's Continental Drift
What they didn't know was that the land was still slowly cracking up, heading in the direction...of Ice Age Valley!
Some sort of rumbling was heard from a distance, and it was enough to wake Manny up from his sleep. "Huh? What was that? Ellie, did you hear that?"
As Manny stood up, Ellie walked over and looked around to try and find the source of the noise. "I heard it, Manny. Whatever it is, it's miles away."
"Peaches, you alright?" Manny walked over to check on his teenage daughter, but he was confused and worried once he saw that the branch Peaches was sleeping on was empty. "Where is she? No teenager's ever up early."
Ellie chuckled. "Easy, warden. She's not on lock down."
Instead of answering his wife, Manny just walked over to Crash and Eddie. The two possums were still sleeping, hanging to a branch by their tails, and unknowingly blowing each other a little as they snored. Manny smacked them awake, and even twisting them a bit. "You two were supposed to be responsible uncles!"
"What? I didn't see Peaches sneak off maybe fifteen or twenty minutes ago." Crash said. "Or that she went with Louis and Kiara to the Falls." Eddie added. The two of them laughed a little nervously.
"The Falls? Where the delinquents go?" Manny looked kinda mad.
Ellie tried to calm her husband down. "Relax, it's just where the kids hang out." Sadly, Manny was still paranoid. "No! No, it's a gateway hangout. First it's the Falls, then she's piercing her trunk, and the next thing you know she's addicted to berries!"
Ellie chuckled a bit. "Manny, you are overreacting. She's not gonna be your little girl forever. She'll be going on adventures with the rest of the Pride Team one day."
Manny looked down. "I know. That's what worries me."
Out in the woods, someone was happily swinging around in the trees. That someone was none other than Peaches, she was happily swinging around like a possum. Happily running next to her was her best friend, as well as Simba and Nala's daughter, Kiara. The two girls were happily looking forward to a fun day with their friends, as well as Kiara's husband Kovu.
"Louis!" Peaches called out. She and Kiara stopped and looked behind them. "Come on, Louis. Would you get your head out of the ground and try to have a little fun?" Kiara asked.
A burrow trail was following them, but bumped against a tree. "Ow!" A molehog, clearly Louis, popped out of the ground and rubbed his sore head. "I'm a molehog, Kiara. My head's supposed to be underground. And my idea of fun isn't risking death so that Peaches can meet some cute mammoth."
"Ethan isn't cute, he's hot." Peaches replied, making Louis sigh a little. Now the three of them were walking together.
"It'll be okay, Louis. Once we find Kovu you'll have nothing to worry about." Kiara assured. Peaches agreed. "She's right. Besides, you can't spend your whole life playing it safe."
"I know I would!" They stopped once they saw that Manny was standing in front of them with a stern look. Peaches gasped. "Dad? There's no reason to be mad."
"You know how I feel about you going to the falls, especially if it's just you and Kiara." Manny said.
Louis cleared his throat a little. "Um, they're, uh, not alone, sir."
Manny turned his head to the molehog. "You don't count, Wiener!"
Louis slumped at that. "Yes, there's my place. And you just put me in it, thank you."
Manny turned back to the girls. "Come on, young lady. We're going home where I can keep an eye on you. You too, Kiara, let's go find Kovu." As Manny walked away, Peaches and Kiara looked back at Louis before they followed after Peaches' dad.
"So, sh-should I just wait here, or...?" Louis started to ask, but a rumbling sound was heard. So he shrieked and burrowed off.
On a different part of Ice Age Valley, Kovu was taking a self tour around the valley. Once he stood above a cliff where he could get a good view of Ice Age Valley, he felt the rumbling. He saw that even the trees were shaking a bit. Instead of being worried, Kovu smirked before he let out a loud roar. It echoed and made the rumbling stop.
Seeing this, Kovu chuckled a little. "Yeah, you don't scare me, mother nature. There's nothing you can throw at me that I can't handle." Just after he said that, he heard some hollering. He looked back...only to gasp when a random log jumped out through the trees and ram right into him before sliding down the snow with a family of sloths riding it.
"I think we're almost there!" a female sloth said. "We better be, I just lost the steering." a male sloth just kept moving a stick like a steering wheel, even if it broke off. The sloths had no idea that Kovu was clinging on to the front of the log as it kept sliding down the snow.
An elderly purple female sloth was in the back with vines wrapped around her. "Has anyone seen Precious? It's her feeding time."
"Mom, Granny's talking about her dead pet again!" the 20 year old sloth said.
"Hey! Paws up, everybody!" Another, yet disgusting male sloth cheered and raised his paws in the air. Making the other three cringe because of his nasty stench. "Ugh! Paws down, uncle! Please, that is nasty!"
Along the way, the log hit a speed bump. "Be careful, Milton! You're gonna hurt someone!" The female sloth, Eunice, scolded her husband. But she and the other sloths gasped once they saw Kovu climbing up a bit. "Ah! Bad kitty!" Eunice slapped Kovu a couple of times.
"Rock!" the 20 year old shouted. They hit a rock, making Kovu fly over the log, bumping into Granny and became tied up along with the elderly sloth. The brown lion was now being dragged along as the log kept going, so he screamed in terror. Granny, however, seemed like she was having a fun time.
Meanwhile, Peaches still looked unpleased by not being allowed to go to the Falls, even after they met up with Max, Riolu, Kate, CatDog, and Espurr. "Okay, so tell me. When exactly will I be allowed to hang out with boys?" She asked her dad.
"When I'm dead." Manny answered. "Plus three days." Riolu raised an eyebrow. "Why wait for three days?" "Just to make sure I'm dead." Manny replied.
Kiara sighed. "So, anyone seen Kovu?"
"I thought he was with you." Espurr replied.
What they didn't know was that Kovu and the log of sloths was heading their way. As he held on to the log, Kovu looked and saw that they were about to crash into Peaches. He had to think of something to save his friend and fast! So what does he do? He jumps over to a nearby tree and used his claws to hang on tight.
Once Peaches, Kiara, and Diego who just came over, saw the log, it stopped and launched the sloths off and they landed on top of Manny. "What the...?" Diego muttered while Peaches tapped the log...making it lay flat on the ground.
Max blinked a couple of times. "What the heck?" Ellie and Peaches rushed over to Manny. "Manny, are you okay?" Ellie asked. Manny stood back up, making three of the four sloths fall off of him. The smelliest one of the group was still on Manny's face. "Get off my face!" The male mammoth peeled the sloth off his face and dropped him to the ground. Even the others around him cringed in disgust.
Norbert and Daggett rushed over to the commotion. "What in the name of Reshiram's Blue Fusion Flare is going on here?" Norb asked. Daggett sniffed the air, coughed once, and plugged his nose. "Not sure what it is, but it sure smells bad."
The smelly sloth chuckled a little. "That was fun." He screamed a little in fear once he saw Kovu in front of him...glaring. "Now, who should I eat first?" Kovu used one of his claws to snap the vine off him and Granny before advancing towards the stinky sloth who backed away in fear.
The stinky sloth was pinned by Kovu. "Mom! MOM!"
Kovu would've attacked, but Sid's voice stopped him. "Uncle Fungus! Could that really be you?" Sid made his way through the crowd. Timon and Pumbaa were by his side. Once Sid saw the other sloths, he gasped in happiness. "Mom! Dad!" He rushed over and hugged his mom and dad, and even the 20 year old sloth. "Marshall!"
"Hey!" Granny yelled out. "Granny?" Sid asked. They looked to see Granny using her cane to poke something. "This pumpkin's ripe for picking." It was actually a horned beaver's behind she was poking.
"Hey, what's going on here?" Timon asked in confusion. "Maybe Sid's family got revived along with all other Ice Age life." Pumbaa guessed. "Maybe Sid's family got revived along with all other Ice Age life!" Timon happily repeated the guess as if it was his own. The warthog just blinked a couple of times.
"Oh! My whole familia!" Sid happily hugged his family, happy to see them again after all of these years.
"See? He still hugs his parents." Manny smiled and told his daughter. Peaches rolled her eyes. Then, while no one was looking, she began to sneak away. Kiara and Kovu secretly followed after her, mainly because Kovu needed to be with friends to help calm down.
"I never thought I'd see my little baby again. We've been searching everywhere for you!" Eunice told Sid.
"You have?" Sid smiled and hugged his brother again. "I knew it! I knew it! Deep down, I knew I wasn't abandoned, even back in the afterlife!"
Marshall, however, said differently. "Oh, that's incorrect. We totally abandoned you."
"Marsh." Eunice gently pushed Marshall away and hugged Sid again. "We've always missed you." While Sid wasn't looking, she slapped her slow husband and glared at him to get him to play along. "Right?"
Milton finally got the message and went along. "Oh! Yeah, yeah. And we just knew Sid would want to see his poor dear granny before her time is up for a second time." He looked pretty sad about Granny as did Eunice.
Granny glared at the both of them. "I'll bury you all and dance on your grave!"
Milton didn't seem fazed by what Granny just said. "So frail."
"And she can't wait to spend time with you, Sid." Eunice said with a smile.
Milton smiled. "Oh, yeah. Uh, Granny? Granny?" They looked around for Granny.
While Marshall was using some ice reflecting off the sun's rays to burn some ants...Granny was doing the same to him. She laughed and he yelped. But, Milton began to walk her away. "I never get to have any fun." Granny grumbled. While Marshall rubbed the burn he got on his head, Timon and Pumbaa rushed over and happily began to eat the ants.
As Timon smacked his lips, he turned his head to Marshall. "Hey, you! Your ice burnt some of these ants to a crisp!" But his frown changed into a smile. "Thanks!"
Milton handed Granny over to Sid. "Why don't you show her your cave? She could use a nap."
Sid began to happily walk his Granny away. "Boy, there's so much to tell you! You know, a lot has happened since the last time I saw you."
Granny looked bored. "Not interested."
"But we fought dinosaurs months after we were brought back to life! It didn't make sense, but it sure was exciting." Sid kept talking, even as he and Granny were out of sight.
Once they saw that Sid and Granny were gone...Eunice, Milton, Marshall, and Uncle Fungus cheered and went back to their log. "We got rid of the crazy wretch! Let's go!" Milton even said.
Eunice and Marshall got on the log while Milton and Uncle Fungus began to push it back on the snow road.
"Hey, hey, hey! Hold on!" Max protested. "You can't just leave like this without even saying goodbye! Sid's gonna be crushed!"
Eunice didn't look worried. "Sorry, Sparky. Things are breaking apart back home." Milton agreed. "Nope! We're heading in land, and Granny is just dead weight.'
"See ya." Eunice waved as the four sloths began to slide away on the log. Just before they were out of sight, Milton gave the Pride Team one final warning. "And warn the community: She tends to wander!"
Diego waited until they were completely gone before he told everyone this. "Well, that explains a lot about Sid." "No kidding." Cat agreed.
"Mom, Dad, you have Granny's teeth? She can't find'em." Sid walked back over with Granny. Th elderly sloth was trying to eat an apple, and that was pretty hard to do without her teeth. Finally, she held the apple up to Sid. "Hey! Can you chew this thing for me?"
Sid backed away and kept trying to find his family. "Guys? Where is everyone?" He asked his friends.
"Don't worry, I'll handle this." Riolu quietly told Max, Manny, and Diego. He walked a little closer to Sid to talk to him. "Sid? Uh...your family was wiped out by a random Rhydon's Hyper Beam. Sorry about that."
"What!?" Sid looked upset.
Manny cleared his throat and glared at Riolu a little. "What Riolu is trying to say is...they left." He gave his sloth friend a sad sympathetic look as he went on. "They only wanted to find you so you can take care of Granny."
Poor Sid was trying to deny it. "Oh come on, come on. I mean, what kind of sick family would ditch their whole Granny on someone? That's just crazy. That's just...That's just..." Sid finally accepted it and sighed in sadness. "My family."
Diego gave him a smile and tried to assure him to cheer him up. "Yeah, well, at least you still have Granny. Right, buddy?"
Sid smiled. "Yeah, Granny." Once it finally hit him again, Sid looked around for Granny. "Granny? Granny?" One problem...he and the others looked around and saw that Granny was nowhere to be seen.
"Where'd she go?" Dog asked. Cat only shrugged his shoulders.
Ellie was actually impressed. "Wow. For an old girl, she moves fast." Espurr smiled and agreed. "I actually like her already."
"Come on guys, let's split and try to find her." Max suggested. The others agreed and got to work finding Granny.
Sid had a brief family reunion, and now they've gotta find Granny. Still, finding Granny's gonna be the least of their worries once the crack finally comes their way. Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! And don't worry, I'll be getting to the Atlantis adventure too. Just got eager to start this one. Anyway, see you in the next chapter!
