Chapter 1

''Well, looks like we're here'' said Wash as he climbing out of the Warthog he'd been driving, Caboose was sitting in the passenger seat next to him and Tucker was stood behind the turret because they didn't trust Caboose to man the turret, the rest of the Reds and Blues were with them, Kimball had sent them to investigate a weird energy spike from one of the temples.

''Hey can anyone remind me why Kimball sent us again?'' Grif asked.

''Because of that weird energy reading remember'' said Donut.

''Yeah, but why send us, I mean she's got that weird Alien AI, I mean he's literally connected to these things so why us in?'' Grif asked.

''He's not connected to every temple on the planet dumbass, some of them we're here before the aliens came here'' said Simmons ''he doesn't even know how they function, hell he didn't even know they still functioned if that's whats happening''

Kimball had briefed them before sending them out to take a look at the temple, apparently when Chorus was first discovered some of the alien temples were of unknown origin, these were the most mysterious temples of all because they didn't know how they worked or who made them, there were plans to study these temples but then the war broke out which ended those plans.

It actually reminded Wash of something from his home planet, unlike the other Reds and Blues Wash wasn't born on earth, he came from a different planet and on that planet there were ruined temples and castles that seemed to be parts of kingdoms long forgotten, but nobody knew what happened to those people, they just seemed to disappear, Wash eventually did learn what happened to those people and it wasn't what he'd expected.

''Grif may have point'' said Tucker.

''See, thank you Tucker'' said Grif.

''I mean my key obviously won't work with this temple so why send us?'' Tucker asked.

''We're not here to turn it on, Kimball just wants us to make sure those energy readings weren't caused by Space pirates, before she sends in a research team'' said Carolina.

''Right, right'' said Tucker with a weak nod.

It had been a couple of months since they had captured Malcom Hargrove, but that victory had come at too high a cost, they had lost a friend, Church otherwise known as the Epsilon AI, he saved Tucker, Caboose, Doc and the Reds but he had to sacrifice himself to do so and it had hit Tucker and Caboose pretty hard and Wash understood how they felt, a long time ago he had a friend who sacrificed everything to save people and this wasn't from his Freelancer days, he told the two if they needed anything from him all they needed to do was ask and he meant it, when they first crashed on Chorus and Church left the first time he had failed to help them and he wasn't going to make the same mistake again, so for the past two months Wash been whatever Caboose and Tucker needed when they needed it.

Wash put a comforting hand on Tuckers shoulder drawing his gaze ''look I know most of us don't want to do this, but we're almost done, Chorus has been saved, the UNSC is helping fix all damage done to the planet, Kimball's building us some bases on another planet, so this is the least we can do for her ok'' he said, the others all agreed ''alright then, we'll take look inside first then give the area a look around''

The group had parked a fair distance away from the temple because they didn't want to alert any space pirates to there presence if this was the work of Space Pirates, so they still had to walk a bit before reaching the temple, this temple looked very different from the other temples they had seen, where as the other temples had futuristic looks this one looked like a very typical ancient temple, it looked somewhat Mayan, but instead of stair to the top of it there was an opening to the inside of the temple.

There was one extremely notable thing about the temple though and that a ship was sticking out of one of its sides, it was a somewhat large ship, it looked like it was used to transport vehicles, they had no idea how many vehicles it could transport but since it seemed to take out most of the temples right wall it seemed like it could carry a fair few vehicles, to the looks of things the crash might have been some kind of result of the tractor beam with the ship being pulled into this part of the planet.

The Reds and Blues entered the temple and started to look around, the interior was rather bright because of the large hole the transport ship had punched through the wall and consisted of a large open space with many stares ways leading to many different platforms and in the centre of the temple was a single switch, something about this place seemed familiar to Wash, but he couldn't explain why.

''Ok are we done here, nothing seems to be happening so can we just call in'' complained Grif.

''We still have to check around the temple just in case'' said Wash.

''Heh, heh yeah if theres any space pirates here they might have started running with their tails between their legs to avoid us, better have a look around'' said Sarge, to which Grif just groaned ''for gods sake Grif could you stop complaining for once in your life''

''Good news is we don't have to worry about anyone activating this temple'' said Simmons who was observing the switch ''this switch is so rusted over I doubt anyone could move it, here watch'' Simmons then gave it an experimental pull but it didn't budge ''see, anyone else want to give it a try?'' A few of the others tried it, Sarge tried first since he was the physically strongest member of the Red team but was unsuccessful, then Tucker tried, then Lopez, then Carolina and finally Wash.

After his try Wash had a forlorn look on his face since this defiantly felt similar 'could it be- no there's- there's no way, right?' he thought to himself, he jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Carolina looking at him.

''Are you alright Wash?'' she asked ''you seems kind of out of it''

''Huh, oh yeah I'm fine Carolina, I guess I'm just a bit off today don't worry about it'' said Wash.

''Alright, but tell me if somethings wrong'' said Carolina which Wash nodded too ''alright lets take a look around outside before cal-''

Carolina was cut off by a loud noise it sounded somewhat similar to the sound the other temples made when they activated and that could only mean one thing the temple was activating, everyone turned to the switch to see Caboose had pulled it.

''Caboose!''

''I didn't do it, Tucker did!'' Caboose cried out.

The switch sunk into the ground and as it did some kind of pillar with a metal sphere on its tip was lowered from the ceiling, the sphere started spinning and glowing, all the Reds and Blues put their guard up in case the sphere started shooting lightning, well all the Reds and Blues except Caboose who was just looking at the pretty sphere and Wash who recognised what this was, suddenly holographic planets burst out of the spheres surrounding them and just hovered in place, slowly the Reds and Blues lowered there weapons.

''[It must be some kind of map of the galaxy]'' said Lopez.

''It is beautiful isn't it Lopez'' said Donut.

''[You know I'm just at that point now where I'm not even going to comment on you mistranslating me]'' said Lopez.

''Hey, I think I recognise that planet'' said Sarge walking up to one of the spheres ''I do recognise it, that's planet Weyland''

''One of the planets you fought on in the Great War?'' Simmons asked.

''The very same'' said Sarge wistfully.

''There are actually a few planets here I recognise'' said Carolina ''like that, that's planet Gilgamesh and that's Granbell''

''Oh that's Sanghelios'' said Tucker pointing to one of the planets.

''Oh hey, that's Kronos and that's Endako, oh and that's Csilla'' said Donut pointing to the planets.

''Wow, this is amazing, do you guys think this is some kind of map or observatory of the galaxy?'' Doc asked.

''Not sure'' Wash mused to himself as he looked around 'yep, its like the one I activated before' he thought to himself as he gazed at the planet he had trained on, Leonis Minus, Wash then noticed something behind that planet, walking past the planets he saw it was some kind of calendar 'well, that's new, is this when it was last activated? Can I change it?' Wash waved a hand over it and it changed to another date 'I have no idea what I just did there' ''guys don't touch anything alright, I've seen one of these before so lets get out of here and call Dr. Grey before we-'' Wash stopped as he saw Caboose was about to touch one of the planet, this planet was very familiar to him, it looked very similar to earth but it had a broken moon ''Caboose n-''

Too late and in a flash of white light the Reds and Blues were gone.

Wash gave a groan as he pushed himself up off the hard ground and started to look around, they weren't in the temple anymore, hell they weren't even on Chorus anymore, they were surrounded by a seemingly dead forest and stoney grey earth was beneath them and even though he hadn't been in this forest for years he recognised it 'well, it looks like I'm back' Wash thought to himself, before looking around to see the other Reds and Blues were also on the ground unconscious, expect for Carolina, she was nowhere to be seen, but Wash couldn't worry about that right now, Was quickly crawled over to the closest one Sarge and gently shook him awake.

''Wash?'' Sarge asked groggily as he sat up ''w-what happened''

''We got teleported here'' said Wash.

''Where are we?'' Sarge asked.

''I think I know where we are, but I'll answer that later for now we have to get the other guys up'' said Wash.

''You wake the other's I'm gonna check Lopez make sure he's ok, I don't know if that flash damaged him in some way'' said Sarge.

Wash nodded and the two got to work Wash quickly started to wake the others as Sarge went over to Lopez to check his systems and make sure he was ok, Lopez was alright and was reactive after Wash had finished waking everyone up.

''Not my fault'' said Caboose quickly.

''Absolutely your fault'' said Tucker.

''Oh, Caboose we had to reactivate Lopez, better check see if Freckles is alright'' said Wash.

''Freckles, Freckles are you ok?'' Caboose asked frantically shaking the rifle like he was trying to wake it up.

''Yes, Captain Caboose'' said the rifle causing Caboose to sigh in relief that he was ok.

''Does anyone know where we are, based upon all the planets in that teleportation observatory thing we could be anywhere'' said Simmons.

''I think I know where we are'' said Wash drawing all the attention to him ''before you ask, yes I think I know where we are but its a long story'' Wash paused to look at the sky ''and it looks like nights going to fall soon so I think we better find shelter before-''

''Aaah!''

A scream followed by a loud roar caught the Reds and Blues attention ''what was that?'' Doc asked shakily.

''Oh no'' said Wash running towards the sound of the scream and roar, with the others following behind him.

''Come on Grif lets go'' said Simmons.

''Shouldn't we be running from threatening roars and bloodcurdling screams?'' Grif asked following behind the others.

Soon enough they reached the source of the noise and saw the cause of it, it was a large travelling party who were running away from some wolves that were attacking them, but these were no ordinary wolves, this pack of wolves were pitch black, with white bone skull mask attached to its face and a row of spikes on its spine and it had spikes on its shoulders.

Seeing them just confirmed to Wash where he was and he quickly rushed towards the pack of monsters with the Reds and Blues following closely behind, they opened fire on the monsters drawing there attention, they quickly rushed towards the Reds and Blues, as they did the Reds and Blue came to a stop to fire at the monsters, with Doc hanging behind them, he was unarmed and as such wasn't going to be able to help with this fight.

Many wolves hit the ground and started to turn into smoke ''what the hell are these things!'' Tucker cried as he continued to fire.

''There's Beowolves'' said Wash, causing the others to stop firing and look at him for a moment.

''How do you know that!'' Grif cried pulling the Grifshot off his back and continuing to fire.

''It's complicated alright, look I'll explain it later, I promise'' said Wash.

As they argued some of the Beowolves broke from the pack and circled around to attack the Reds and Blues from the sides, which they didn't notices as they kept firing until one of the Beowolves leapt at them, Tucker quickly dropped his rifle and drew his sword stabbing the Beowolf in the belly killing it and then slashing another in half, Sarge blasted a Beowolf in the head with his shotgun, Wash and Caboose quickly came to Tuckers aid as three Beowolves jumped at him and Simmons started to help Sarge, as they did Donut pulled out three grenades and threw them at the Beowolf hoard blowing them to hell and as he did Wash, Caboose and Tucker finished one side as Sarge and Simmons finished the other, with Sarge finishing the last Beowolf off with a shotgun blast.

''Alright, I think that's it we got all of them'' said Wash, the travelling party who had been hiding when they heard the gunshots started cheering, the Reds and Blues were about to go over to them, when they heard a loud roar, which caused the travelling party to duck back into hiding and the Reds and Blues to jump.

''Ah great, what was that'' Grif groaned.

Suddenly a large black ape jumped out of nowhere, like the wolves the ape was pitch black it had a bony mask and bony armour on its chest and certain parts to is body ''ah great a Beringel'' Wash groaned, for a moment the Beringel just stood there and Wash took this as an opportunity ''Grif will you use your rifle in this fight?''

''Against that thing! Hell no, I'd easily prefer the Grifshot'' said Grif.

''Ok, Doc take Grif's rifle and go protect the people, you and Lopez are gonna have to serve as their last line of defence'' ordered Wash.

''[Good enough for me]'' said Lopez running off towards the people.

''Me! But I'm a pacifist!'' Doc cried.

''Which I'm pretty sure you broke when you attacked me'' said Tucker.

''Alright, fair'' said Doc.

''And Doc, I don't want to be mean, but fighting without a rocket launcher isn't your strong suit, you'd likely just hold us back'' said Wash.

''O-ok, yeah your right'' said Doc pulling the rifle off Grif's back before looking at the ape monster ''please win'' and with that Doc ran off towards the people who were hiding as the Beringel began to charge at the Reds and Blues.

The Reds and Blues began to fire at the ape, but whereas the bullets they fired were effective against the Grimm they weren't so effective against the Beringel at the range they were shooting at and it dodged each grenade fired by the Grifshot, the Beringel then jumped into the air as it was closing in on them its fists raised, but the Reds and Blues quickly jumped out of the way as it hit the ground making a small crater.

The Reds and Blues quickly recovered and started to fire at the Beringel, the Beringel growled and started to throw stones from the create it made at the Reds and Blues, on hit Simmons straight in the stomach and knocked him to the ground, Sarge rushed up to the Beringel and fired a blast, making the Beringel stumbled slightly but it recovered and took a swing at Sarge, Sarge jumped back to dodge causing him to fall to the ground and Beringel was about to slam both its arms down onto Sarge, but then Caboose tackled it.

''My name is Michael J Caboose and I hate Bad Monkeys!''

Caboose then threw the Beringel slamming it into a boulder, but the Beringel got back up and picked up the boulder and threw it, the Reds and Blues dodged out of the way, the Beringel then rushed them again going for Tucker, Tucker dodged a swing and then drew out his sword and cut off its arm, causing the monster to scream, Tucker quickly rushed off as Grif started to fire at it and Donut began to toss Grenades, the blasts threw the monster to the ground.

''Quick fire on it now!'' Wash ordered, to which the Reds and Blues began to shoot at the monster, Wash glanced over to Simmons who was still on the ground ''Donut go check on Simmons''

''Don't worry I'll take very good care of him'' said Donut running off.

''Tucker if we can't bring it down this way be ready with your sword it seems to have done the most damage to it'' said Wash, Tucker nodded.

The Beringel slowly started to pull itself up and gave a roar before charging again aiming directly for Wash, Wash dodged under its swing and drew out his pistol shooting it in the face with his pistol while shooting it in the stomach with his rifle, the Beringel snarled in pain as part of its mask broke off, it quickly grabbed Wash by the waist and slammed him into the ground causing him to drop his weapons, the Beringel then lifted him up and started to crush him, Wash grunted in pain at the pressure, slowly reaching into his belt he drew out a combat knife he had gotten on Chorus and stabbed the Beringel in the hand multiple times, but the Beringel toughed it out, until Tucker ran up and stabbed the Beringel through its chest, the Beringel made chocking noises and dropped Wash to ground as it started to turn to smoke.

''Wash are you ok?'' Tucker asked helping Wash up.

''Yeah, good job Tucker'' groaned Wash, before looking over to the travellers who were cheering again ''check on Simmons, I'll deal with that''

''Arg, what happened?'' Simmons groaned sitting up, only to see he was being on a stretcher by Doc and Lopez and that they were travelling alongside the people they had saved ''w-what going on?''

''[I'd think it should be obvious, the others beat that ape monster, not you obviously you got knocked out pretty easily, and now we're going somewhere that is assumably safe]'' Lopez answered.

''Wash apparently knows somewhere safe, we're we can camp out for the night, so we're headed there'' Doc answered.

''Ah, ok'' said Simmons.

''Hey Simmons I don't mean to complain but can you walk?'' Doc asked.

''Huh, oh yeah I should be able to'' said Simmons getting off the stretcher.

After fifteen more minutes of walking they arrived at the location Wash had talked about, it looked to be a large asian inspired town with a wall guarding it, it looked to be abandoned with many building ruined and a few large holes in the wall, it looked exactly like Wash expected it to with one exception, a large ship was laid next to its wall, the people started to go into the town as the Reds and Blues looked at the ship.

''Wait, is that the ship from the temple, whats it doing here?'' Tucker asked.

''I guess it must have teleported with us'' Simmons said with a shrug.

''Well its too late to look at it now, well rest for tonight and look at it tomorrow'' said Wash.

''Yeah, about that are you sure this Wash, I mean the place does look pretty dismal'' said Tucker.

''Well, we've slept in worst places'' said Wash.

''He's not wrong'' said Grif with a shrug.

''Yeah, I guess that's fair, so what's this place called?'' Tucker asked.

''Kuroyuri'' said Wash with a sigh 'I'm so sorry about this Ren'

After an hour the Reds and Blues were sat around a large fire with the travellers, with Caboose playing with the children, Donut, Doc, Simmons and Tucker talking with the people, Grif and Sarge telling stories, Lopez just sitting silent often saying things in Spanish to the others and Wash was talking to the leader of this travelling party.

''I can't express how grateful we are to you and your comrades'' the leader said.

''It's nothing I'm honestly just surprised that your village stood for so long'' said Wash ''s-sorry that came out wrong''

''No, I suppose it was inevitable that it would fall out here'' said the leader.

''No I mean after Ruby Rose's world wide message and the panic it caused I didn't think any small villages like yours would have been able to survive'' said Wash.

''I'm sorry what?'' The leader asked.

''You know the message Ruby Rose sent out to all of Remnant?'' Wash said confused.

''I'm sorry I don't know what your talking about'' the leader replied.

'What, that's impossible, Ruby transmitted that message all over Remnant so how… wait' Wash then turned to the leader ''hey can I ask you a few weird questions that might make you think I'm crazy?'' The leader nodded and Wash started to ask his questions, when the leader answered all of them Wash asked if he could look at the leaders scroll, which they obliged with, looking at the date confirmed what Wash already suspected 'I'm in the fucking past!'

So that's the chapter hope you enjoyed, this is suppose to be a reprise of a fanfic I did a while ago where the premise was that Jaune and Agent Washington we're the same person, it did pretty well thought I'm not super proud of it so I wanted to give it another try, but I wanted to try another approached with it.

I'll say it now, yes Carolina is also on Remnant she's just not with the rest of the group.

Oh and I think its important to bring this up, from what I know many people hate the most recent seasons of RvB 15-18, I am one of them, I don't like the time travel and gods thing they did in 16 and 17 and your probably asking 'then why are you including time travel in this story' well I think its fine to do it in fanfics where it does't effect the universe unlike what the later seasons did so now RVB can join Star Wars and MHA (which will probably join them soon) as franchises that added time travel even though they didn't need to.
