Chapter 1

A Tragic Beginning

Our story begins like any other, in a small little town and four young kids. In the little town of Hopes Meadow, just outside of Phoenix Arizona, there were four young boys. First there was Eric Panthera, a kind and gentle boy with a heart of gold, he had black hair with a streak of white in the front, a somewhat pale complexion and to top it all off his eyes were fine silver. Eric has been regarded as the "big brother" to the four and always looks after them and keeps them out of trouble. He always puts others before himself and will help anyone in danger, even if it means getting beaten up in the process.

The second one is Michal Saurus, the more hot-headed member of the group who's always been known to charge head first into danger regardless of the risks. He has short brown hair, tan skin color since he spends a lot of time in the hot sun and deep blue eyes like that of the sky. Michal has always been considered a "trouble child" since he got into a lot of fights with bullies at school, but really underneath that tough skin is a big old softie that just wants to help the little guy.

The third child is Alexander Copper, a level head boy who is quite mature for his age. He's considered a child genius and is quite proud of it while also being humble as well. He's hair is a long dirty blond and is usually kept in a short pony tail, his skin was a pale white and had hazelnut colored eyes. Alex's father is a cop so he knows how to defend himself if the need arises, but tends not to resort to violence immediately but instead tries to handle things peacefully first but if they can't then it's out with the fists.

The final friend is Kalvin Savanna, the youngest of them and is quite free spirited, not to mention has a ton of energy. Kalvin's natural hair color is black but he tends to dye it yellow like that of the African sun, his skin was a tan color due to living a lot of his live in the Safari and had sharp green eyes. He used to live in Africa with his adopted parents most of his life but when he turned fourteen he moved to Hopes Meadow, and it was here that he decided to take up Karate and became quite good at it already becoming a black belt at age fifteen.

Their parents were good friends with each other so they tend to spend a lot of time together. All four of them were close, so much so that they considered themselves brothers to each other. They grow up together all the way to high school and they always had each backs through thick and through. They bonded over many things like games, activities and food, but the one thing that tied them all together was a little program they loved to the bottom of their hearts…Power Rangers. They loved the show so much, they watched it any chance they got, either on their phones or the T.V. they will watch it to the very end. Power Rangers was like the bonding agent that held the four of them together, as Alex would say, and they wouldn't have it any other way. It seemed as if things were right as rain and would never stop being grand…or so they thought.

One day, while the four of them were hanging at a restaurant for a Guys Night Out, Eric got a call from the local police asking for the four them to go down to the hospital. Once they arrived they were meet by Alex's dad's partner from the force and the look on his face was not a good sign. He didn't say anything as he took the four of us into a part of the hospital and it was there… where we found our parents or…what's left of them. They were covered in horrible burns and most of their flesh was charred to point of being blackened, it was just too much to bear. Michal demanded to know what happened from the hospital staff, fury evident in his voice, and after minutes of shouting the hospital staff told us there was gas fire explosion at the local store in town and our parents were caught in the center of it. The doctors did the best they could but with the injuries they sustained there wasn't much that could be done. On that day the four of them became orphans and luckily for them they were at the age of nineteen while Kalvin was eighteen so they could take jobs and own a place of residents.

So together they worked hard and helped each other and got themselves a place where they can stay, an apartment they can call home. It wasn't easy living on their own but they made it work and through thick and through they made themselves a life, but the pain was still there in their hearts. And it was on dark days that thoughts and nightmares of their parent's death that haunt them to this day. They also thought if there was more they could have done, if they can do more than just living a boring normal life, it was an impossible dream…or so they thought.

It was on a rainy day and the four of them were lounging in their living room watching an episode of Power Rangers Jungle Fury, it was then that a knock was heard from the door, which confused the four of them since they weren't expecting anything, especially in this weather. So Eric decided to check it out himself and opened the door of their apartment, and to his surprise he found an old classmate from school. Takeing a good look at him Eric realized that it was Anime Kid, a nickname we called him by, and in his hand was a DVD and had a weird smile on his face. Eric was about to ask what he was doing here only to have the DVD shoved into his hands and the kid ran away. Seeing that the kid was long gone Eric then closed the door and walked back inside and was asked by his friends what had happened. Once he finished explaining they all suggest to see what the DVD was all about, since it given to them after all. So Eric then inserted the DVD into the T.V. and sat back and watched.

When the first scene played it was revealed to be an anime of sorts, and it seemed to be set in a medieval like setting. Now they were no strange to anime as they have watched a couple in their lifetime, things like Dragon Ball or Bleach just to name a few. As the anime played they were then shown one of the shows characters, a female elf by the looks of it with long blond hair in a ponytail and very tan skin. The noticeable feature was her outfit; it was super reveling and left very little to the imagination. Seeing this we thought it might be one of those eechi animes that people watch so we didn't think about it too much, so we pressed on and watched the show. At first everything looked normal, plot established, an antagonist introduced and a mood set, we thought this going to be a fun show to watch…that wasn't until some ugly looking monsters started to strip her down.

Once they saw this they then realized it wasn't just any old anime, it was a hentai. So like any sane person they tried to turn the program off but to their confusion it wasn't working. They tried the remote, the T.V. off button, even unplugging the T.V. but nothing worked. So against their better judgment they decided to just tough it out and watched the rest of the show, but as they watched they couldn't help but notice how sad the story was. This world was already fighting a war only to be thrusted into another one by some jerks idiotic ideals and now these woman are nothing more than…then…sex slaves to them. Seeing that really got the four of them frustrated, now wanting nothing more but to punch that Vault guys teeth out. Suddenly the T.V then shut off on its own confusing them all on the sudden change, but there confusion turned to shock when the T.V. started to emit a bright white light that started to engulf everything including the four of them. Then as quick as it happened, it ended and the four boys were gone leaving nothing but an empty sofa, expect once they were gone the T.V then had a message burned on its screen in a strange language and it read.

"Hope has arrived!"
