It was the morning of Sunday the thirtieth of May in the year two thousand and ten. Blake Misaki, Darius Creed, and their Father Logan were all seated in separate briefing rooms at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters waiting for one of Darius' superiors to come hear their account of what took place the night before.

Blake was playing a game on her cell phone, thinking about the events which had transpired over the last twenty-four hours.

She had been camping with her dad and Darius for the past two weeks and despite being in the middle of nowhere in the wilderness had managed to stumble into a situation. A Mutant Terrorist Group called the Red Light against Humanity had recently showed up on the watch list of several groups, including The Genetic and Mutant Research Center at Muir Island, the X-Men, The Brotherhood of Mutants, and of course S.H.I.E.L.D.

The GMRC and the X-Men had been collaborating with one another and co-operating to the best of their abilities to monitor this group. The Brotherhood would naturally be compiling their own data on The Red Lights. Blake suspected that the meeting between Magneto and Professor Charles Xavier may have had something to do with this situation.

Magneto and the brotherhood were being compared to the Red Lights a lot recently but are in fact very different from them in ideology. Magneto believes that Mutants are superior to non-mutant humans, so much so that he even refers to Mutants as Homo-superiors. The primary difference between groups, however, is that Magneto was against the use of violence on random human citizens. He also only believes that use of violent tactics on people in power is appropriate when all peaceful measures have been exhausted.

Blake had never really considered this about Magneto until one conversation with her boyfriend Pietro Maximoff, he was a member of the brotherhood and happened to be Magneto's son. One day Pietro talked to her about his fathers detest of violence and when she questioned that, he reminded her of something that had happened to his father as a child.

Magneto as well as his parents had been Jewish Citizens of Poland when Germany invaded during the second world war. He watched both his parents die by the hands of men who saw themselves as superior to them based on a few unchangeable factors of what made them who they were.

Young Magneto was liberated from Auschwitz by none other than Captain America himself and had always maintain a strong sense of respect for him. He was even known to have inflicted very personal punishment on Brotherhood members who had negative things to say about the star spangled man.

The Red Lights were becoming more and more known for just slaughtering random people in both small and larger scale attacks. In addition to the mass killings, they also had a growing hitlist that unfortunately may now include Darius' Adoptive Mother, Antoinette Chamberlain.

Antoinette was an investment banker by trade and had until recently been employed by the same firm that funded a series of experiments that focused on building anti-mutant weaponry. She had been threatened by one of the members of the group and had revealed that she had a child who was a mutant. Darius had accidently exposed their connection to one another in front of the Red Light Lieutenant who had threatened Antoinette and that earned her a place pretty high on their list.

The non-specific way in which The Red Lights chose their targets made them very different from The Brotherhood. It made most mutants who are aware of the Red Lights, a little more tolerant and a little less judgmental of how the Brotherhood handles their business.

In the room to her right Darius sat on the floor next to the seats and table in his briefing room. He was cross legged and had his eyes closed, deep in meditation. He had hoped that this trip with Logan and B would help him de-stress, but it still put him back on edge right at the end. As if he had made no attempt at all.

In the room to Blake's left, Logan was calmly smoking a cigar while seated at the briefing room table. While he had hoped that this would be an uneventful two weeks, naturally it went in a dramatic direction. Things always went this way, so he was less than surprised.

All three members of the family had been camping together for the last two weeks. The last night of their trip however, they had gotten mixed up in S.H.I.E.L.D. Related business that had gotten them placed in a holding cell before being debriefed.

Outside the briefing rooms several S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents had gathered to speak to the three family members.

Agents Natasha Romanov and Phil Coulson were standing waiting for Captain Steve Rogers to join them. After the Captain made it to them, Natasha looked over to him with a sigh.

"What did Darius get himself involved with?" Natasha asked Steve who shook his head.

"Honestly, I'm still trying to figure that out!" He responded after a moment, "I'll take Wolverine, Nat go check in with Agent Creed, Coulson I doubt you'll get anywhere with Blake…" He added to which Natasha and Phil nodded.

"I'll call in Stark… he has a rapport with Blake after working with her…" Agent Coulson told them pulling out his phone only for Natasha to hold up her hand.

"Don't bother… he and Bruce are working on something in the lab…" She told him as she shot a text to her fellow Avenger. Several moments later Tony Stark came walking up in a Black Sabbath t-shirt and pair of machine oil-stained jeans.

"Any chance you can find out from Blake Misaki exactly what happened involving a suspected terrorist leader that she helped apprehend?" Steve asked his friend and teammate.

Tony smirked and shook his head a little before chuckling.

"Sure…" he started with a yawn, "Sounds like a good time!" He told them shaking his head once more before stepping into the room where the girl awaited him.

Steve and Natasha exchanged glances before each turned and enter the rooms of the other two family members.
