"Lopez, come with me. You've got a visitor" CO Anderson says putting his hand on my shoulder grabbing my attention.
"You fucking with me?" I reply turning around and putting my book down.
"No. A blonde. Sat in visitation. Says she's here to see you" he says. I close the book and think for a minute before standing up, the curiosity getting the better of me.
"Blonde? I don't know no blonde" I reply, following CO Anderson out of the library and towards the Visitation room. Well, that's a lie. I do know one blonde, but you can excuse me for thinking that we weren't friends anymore, seeing as they did arrest me for a crime I didn't commit. We make the rest of the trip in silence, as inmates watch me head towards Visitation and mumble about it in their groups. They have a right to question this abnormal sight, I haven't had a visitor in what must be well over twelve years now.

As we reach the Visitation room door CO Anderson presses the intercom for entrance. "CO Anderson here with inmate 120187"
"Inmate 120187?" The voice questions back over the speaker "Inmate Lopez?"
"Yes, Inmate Lopez" he answers.
"Hang on. Let me check" the voice comes back. I start to pick at my hangnail as I wait for my next instruction. I knew this was all a ruse, I shouldn't have come here. Who the hell would want to come and see me? "I stand corrected. There is a visitor for Inmate 120187. Who'd of guessed it, huh?"
/
I hear the buzz of the door and CO Anderson pulls it open. I enter, unsure of what to do next. I haven't had a visitor since my first week here, and let's just say it did not go well. CO Anderson points me to the reception desk then turns to leave. As I reach the desk, I see CO Hummel sat behind the protective screen, a white sheet of paper in front of him. He looks at me and then down to the sheet of paper. "Booth three" he says pointing his finger in the overall direction. My eyes follow his finger to see a row of seven chairs, each one with a divider in between them creating individual booths. I cautiously make my way down the row looking at the wall above the windows for the right number.
'Seven…Six…Five...Four…' I find booth three and sit down, my eyes planted firmly on the floor. I take a couple of seconds before slowly lifting them to look out of the window facing me. I squint my eyes, trying the place the face of the blonde figure sat opposite me. I pick up the phone

"Who the hell are you?" I ask. "Is this some kind of fucking joke?" I feel my blood start to boil.
"Santana Lopez?" the voice asks calmly.
"Yes"
"You're currently serving a life sentence for the murder of Robin Sylvester, correct?"
"Yes. But I didn't do it!" my voice raises.
"Humm…" the figure just looks at me. It's as if they're trying to read my soul. I look back, making sure to keep my tough exterior demeanour but internally worried sick as to how this random person knows so much about me. "I believe you"
"Y-you do?" I ask, truly taken aback by surprise.
"Yes. I've read your case file. Something doesn't add up" My heart skips a beat as I hear for the first time that somebody else believes I'm innocent.
"Great" I roll my eyes. "So, some nobody believes me. Yey for me" I add sarcastically. If I've learnt one thing from my twelve years behind bars, it's to never get your hopes up and to never show your vulnerabilities. Sarcastic comments is how I do both. Besides I don't even know who this person is.
"Your case intrigues me. You were arrested on the word of a singular eyewitness and the bare minimum of circumstantial evidence"
"I know. I was at the trial"
"Can you add me to your visitation list? I pulled a favour with the higher ups this time, but I doubt I'll be able to do it again"
"Depends" I shrug. Focusing on the two crystal, blue eyes staring back at me, trying to work out their game plan. Are they fucking with me, or do they genuinely want to help? I don't know. I do know one thing though. They intrigue me, and I want to know more.
"On what?"
"If you tell me who the fuck you are…"
"I'm Brittany S. Pierce and I'm here to prove your innocence"
A/N: This idea came to me when I had a pretty bad case of writers block for my other fic. I know it's only short, but I just wanted to test the waters before diving into a whole new fic. Leave a review and let me know what you think...
