You've been waiting for it, Fate of Justice is finally here! Those who follow some of my other fics know I've been working on this for a while. However I have a few things to say.

This fic will probably be the slowest to update, as I need to go through all the Justice League episodes, and do my best to fit it all together as a timeline of events.

Now I don't have much else to say besides, please enjoy.

The thumping of my heart and the sound of running feet seemed to scream in my eyes, every second bringing me closer to my potential demise.

Perhaps that was too strong a way to start this? But how to begin, yes the beginning would be best. My name is Blake Blaskoy, I'm 19 years old, and I am a hopeful archaeologist in training. I had been fascinated by history as long as I could remember, and I had signed up at a local university for a trip to explore some old ruins, however none of us could expect what happened.

The man who made this trip possible, John Mackenzy, planned to use everyone as a ransom and I was the only one not captured thanks to as embarrassing as it was to admit, a bladder emergency. By the time I had returned from my quick trip to the toilet stalls, I was treated to a the sight of people being gathered together and tied up.

I had been running and desperately trying to avoid being captured, but I was at my limits. I had heard of John's plans from a few of his… comrades? Mercenaries? I have no idea who these people truly were, but they were dangerous to a normal man like myself. My only hope was to keep avoiding them and pray a superhero or the police will arrive in time to help.

But it would seem my luck had ran out, I was cornered and the mercenaries were approaching, the idea of fighting back was a ridiculous one, they had guns and clearly weren't lacking in the muscle department.

"Nowhere to run this time pretty boy!". One of the men shouted, pretty boy? While I know my appearance wasn't the most masculine with soft features, neck length blond hair and grey eyes, but I'd prefer if this is my last day alive to not have my admittedly feminine appearance be mocked.

I gazed about trying to find an escape route, but the way I had entered was blocked by the men and the only way to go forward was blocked by a massive hole so deep I couldn't see the bottom. Perhaps if I was less panicked, I could've figured out a way to escape, but when one of the men stepped forward, I stumbled back… into the hole.

My screams echoed around me and I could feel the wind as I fell, my heart was beating so fast I was sure it would give out before I slammed into the ground. I'm not sure how far I fell, but eventually I landed, and surprisingly, the force of my fall was negated by… a patch of grass?

I'm sure I was there for a few hours sitting in shock, but eventually my mind returned to its senses and I immediately started looking about. I was in an absolutely nature filled cave, moss, grass, and flowers everywhere. But they weren't the most attention grabbing thing, those went to the giant stone pillars with different symbols across them, they kind of looked like, some type of playing card?

Had I somehow come across some, old supervillain scheme? Walking up to one of the pillars, it had an image of a knight holding up a sword, it had words written under it in a language I couldn't read, I had never studied it… but I understood the words perfectly, Saber. What in the world was going on here? I checked the other pillars with the playing card like images across them, each with a different name and image. Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker were the more normal sounding names, but some were even weirder, like MoonCancer and Alter-Ego.

I couldn't understand what this place was, maybe I was still falling and this was just a mere fantasy in my final moments? But something deep within me told me this was real. I kept walking past the pillars, finally coming across something else. It was a wooden box, but it was beautiful crafted, I don't think it could even be called the creation of a human. This place was clearly ancient, yet the wood was'nt rotted or damaged in anyway, as I got closer I could almost imagine I heard voices.

I placed my hand on the box, and words echoed in my head

[POTENTIAL]

What!? Huh, what just… happened? I couldn't call that a voice, it was more… words just appearing in my head, but I felt a soft sense of comfort and pull towards the box. That's it, I needed answers and whatever was in this box, had it. I opened up the box… and inside was playing cards, no they weren't playing cards, no playing card would ever be crafted so perfectly, and each had the different names and symbols I had seen on the pillars across them.

Picking up a card, Saber, but as I flipped it over, it had another image across it. Even as an image across a card, the woman displayed on it possessed an inhuman beauty. Tanned skin with white hair and red eyes, however while she was a woman of undeniable beauty, everything about her screamed warrior. But none more so then the blade in her hand, it was a stunning technological blade, composed of 3 beams of light. At the bottom of the card was a name…

"Altera?". I asked aloud, was that the name of the woman on this card? Altera. It was a nice name, but I couldn't place where it could come from. But, even so, holding it in my hand, a word came into my mind.

"Install". I said aloud, and my vision was blocked by a flash of light. Skills and techniques forced their way into my mind, and I felt my hands grip around something. I felt as certain parts of my being were replaced by another, abilities beyond humanity and vague memories of a star…

However my focus on the strange skills and memories was quickly forgotten as I stared at the sight of what was once pale white skin, now a tan shade with white lines across it. Staring down at my body, I was wearing an outfit that barley covered my body, while an extremely long white vail went down to my legs. I could also feel a certain part of my body was no longer there, and replaced by something else. I was a perfect match for the image of Altera.

If not for the strict self-control given by the Install, I'm sure I would've started screaming and trying to figure this out. But my mind had new information shoved into it, these cards were Class Cards, and I had used Install to turn into Heroic Spirit Altera. I don't know what a Heroic Spirit was, but I know I was incredibly powerful now, superhero level power.

While some part of me wanted to experiment with these abilities, I felt incredibly uncomfortable using this Install, so I used another word that had been forced into my mind

"Uninstall". With just another simple word, I was reverted back to normal with the Altera Card in my hand. With the loss of the Card came some… minor panics, but I got over them thankfully quick. I know a few things for a fact now.

These Class Cards contained the power to turn me into a Heroic Spirit, I had no idea what a Heroic Spirit was, but I know they're powerful. I also know there now bound to me, nobody else can use them, and how did I know this? The information is just, there in my head. Details on the abilities of Altera were in my mind, including her 'Noble Phantasm', the ultimate weapon of a heroic Spirit. I have no idea if Altera's was just unique, or if all of them had that level of power.

But now I realized something, with these… I could do something, the chances of a hero arriving in time to help the people captured for ransom, people I had talked to, and people I know. Reaching into the box containing the Class Cards, I grabbed a specific one and placed the rest in a zipped pocket inside my jacket.

Staring at the card, I was rather worried at the image of the word 'Assassin' on one side… and the white haired little girl on the other side, Jack the Ripper. I had many questions and concerns regarding this card, but right now? I needed to pray the abilities of an 'Assassin' includes an ability to hide.

"Install…". I softly said, with a flash of white we saw the world at a respective we hadn't in years. It was rather disorientating going from a full grown adult to a child, and the information shoved into our head wasn't helping. Vague memories of wandering the streets of London asking for our mommy, NO! NO NO! It's not our mommy! It's their mommy… We're Blake, not Jack, we need to remember that while using this card, or we may lose my entire sense of self. We're already thinking of ourselves as multiple entities instead of one.

We needed to go save the nice men and stop the bad men, before this Class Card overwhelms us completely…

I will admit not every Class Card has been decided, so if you guys want to suggest Servants go ahead! But what do you think of this? I've already got next chapter in the works, so look forward to that soon.
