[Important Author's Note!]
[Please read first before going on to the story!]
Hello again, fellow readers! It's ya boi ARandoSage, formerly known as Sage the Ero Harem Kami! I finally decided to change my name into something more simple so I hope yall like it but that's not what I wanted to talk about, this is about a story that I've had in the works for…two years. Holy shit it's been that long since I first made the first doc…damn.
Anyway, this new story I've been working on is called Epics of KHGM, it's a RWBY story but it's gonna be set in my own AU following a new cast and expanding on the world of Remnant as a whole. Despite all the current BS that's going on with Rooster Teeth and all the absolute trash direction the show is going, although I am interested in Volume 9, I love the concept of RWBY from the Grimm, to the Aura and Semblances, to Dust, and especially the kickass mechashift weapons.
But when you look at the map of Remnant you can plainly see the world is…well, a blank slate filled with untapped potential so that's what this story is gonna do, expand the world. I have tons of cool ideas for new Grimm to fight, new places to explore, and plenty of unique people to meet both familiar and unfamiliar faces.
Now I don't wanna go over everything but I do wanna point out important things that are gonna be shifted around in this universe for it to fit with the way I'm writing this story so hopefully you'll like them. Ok, here's the list of a few things getting changed.
The Setting: This story will primarily be focused on the Mistral Kingdom as to me that place has the best potential for me to expand the world more. I mean when you look at it through the pixel world map of Remnant it looks like a freaking Pokemon Region with different biomes to explore from jungles, a tundra, a desert, and even an area with volcano activity going on further west.
The Canon Teams: I'm keeping all the canon teams the same so if you're worried I would change on different teams don't be, I'm keeping those the same.
The Brother Gods: These guys are still a thing and personally I would rather nix them all together but they're needed because they tie into a very important character that will be revealed later in the story.
The Grimm: In this universe, the Creatures of Grimm are much more deadly and calculative than their counterparts in canon. You might not see it at first but as it goes on oh man you all are in for a dozy! I'll also be adding my own variants of Grimm that either I or some of my friends on Discord have cooked up so I hope you'll like the new editions we'll be adding.
The Aura: When RWBY first started we were able to see some pretty kickass Aura techniques from Ren making a giant snake's head explode with a single palm strike to Blake being able to perform flying slash attacks with her Aura. But with Monty gone from the living plain, RIP the GOAT, those kinds of things are no longer in the show which is pretty sad as those were some of my favorite parts. In this story, however, I plan to bring those techniques back and then some while also making Aura work a little like how KI is used in Dragon Ball but more watered down as Aura is primarily a defensive power than it is an offensive power…won't stop me from adding some cool shit though.
The Faunus: I hate how the Faunus only have one animal trait so I'm changing that to where they instead have two, sometimes more traits depending on what species of Faunus they are. I also plan for there to be Faunus that are a part of the more mythical side of things like dragons, hellhounds, etc.
The Magic: I know some people might not like this idea but I don't care, magic will be a thing in this world. I refuse to not use magic in this world when the concept of potential is right in front of my face so expect some magic users, magic items, and even some magical creatures to show up in this world.
The Maidens: Ok this one was a little tough to figure out. I won't lie but I think I have an idea that will work. The Maidens will be a primordial source of magic protected by four Greater Spirits that represent the changing seasons of Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Maidens come into the picture after being chosen by the Greater Spirits to use their power to protect the world of Remnant from powerful threats be it Grimm or man. Ozpin wasn't the one to create them but his job, as a Grand Eternal Wizard, is to be the maiden's handler to train them to use their new powers as well as keep an eye on them so they'll be safe. I should also mention that sometimes the power of the Maiden will lie dormant within a candidate and won't awaken until the time is right, not even Ozpin is able to tell if a woman possibly has the dormant powers of one of the Seasons within her.
The Relics: Won't lie I'm still kinda working on this part but I can say for sure that the Relics won't work like they do in canon. You all are gonna have to wait as the story progresses to know more.
The Immortal Duo: This is the last section and it's relating to Salem and Ozpin's relationship and man am I gonna have fun with this one. The main thing is the two never became lovers so they never had children, which is probably a good thing considering what happened to them in canon…RIP those four girls. They both still get cursed with immortality but Ozpin's immortality is much different than it is in canon as he won't be body-jacking people. I hated that part with a passion so I'm nixing that BS altogether. They're both still mortal enemies though so that's still a thing but there's much better reasoning for them to be than it being the world's worst divorce case.
And that's it! Those are all the important points I wanted to go over before you guys started this story. Sorry that this was a little long but I figured I should mention all this stuff now so you guys don't get confused later. Yo, yoshi3000 here, once again playing a supporting role. Epics of KHGM have been in the works for quite a while. I've teased it since Remnant's Four Shadow's completion, and here it is finally out. I will say it's been a pleasure to work on it. RWBY's a toybox of potential. So get ready for a very different Remnant. Do look out for that R4S plotline I left hanging coming full circle in this series.
Sup, names GrandNECROM1998, I'm not really an author but I'm happy to help Sage out with this story, Sage has a bit of a bad habit of having too many ideas flowing around his head, to the point he leaves some stories on the backburner for so long it dies. But hopefully, this isn't gonna be one of them. Oh and not gonna spoil anything but keep an eye out for the OC characters, and guess who they are based on.
