Hey guys! Crescent Rider here and I welcome you to the Second Fairy Tail fanfic story. Only this time, Nadia is going to be an OC character for this story.
If all ask why I made this? This is because this is more of an experiment story where Nadia is not an OC Fate Character, so don't expect any Servants coming into the series.
But some things will remain for this character, and you'll see them when I progress with this story. At the same time, I'll be working on this story alongside my First Fairy Tail story.
That is about all that I have to say for now and enjoy the story.
P.S.: I'm still working on the description. Over time, I will change it to make it work.
Somewhere in Fiore...
Two Dark Mages were wandering to some part of the woods as they were assigned to hunt down some beasts roaming about and deliver them back to their guild base.
But as they went deeper into the woods, the only sounds they heard were crickets chirping and bushes rustling in the distance.
"This place is giving me the creeps... Why do we have to hunt in the middle of the night?" Dark Mage 2 inquired,
"The wildlife of this forest tends to be quite active at night than in the day," Dark Mage 1 explained, "To be honest, I'd prefer to hunt here while the sun is up,"
"Yeah, for there had been rumors about some sort of enemy roaming about these parts, messing up our operations for our protection fee, and some of our members have gotten themselves arrested by the Rune Knights after this supposed enemy took them out by surprise," Dark Mage 2 said,
"And the boss thought that going on a hunt at night would be a good idea seeing that these types of incidents lessen in the middle of the night," Dark Mage 1 said, "I'd say it's a stupid idea, but without the protection fee. I'd say our boss is getting desperate,"
"Yeah, as much as I want to stay away from prison. I don't want one of three ring leaders of the Balam Alliance to kill us all too," Dark Mage 2 said,
"Let's just get this hunt over with, and get back before something bad comes our way," Dark Mage 1 stated,
As they went further into the forest, they suddenly stood still when they heard the bushes rustling around them, and both prepared themselves for a fight as they readied their magic.
"Here they come," Dark Mage 1 said,
As the rustling draws near the two, they readied their magic. But before they could do anything, something whizzed between them, and something within the bushes shrieked in pain.
The two Dark Mages turned to the trees and saw nothing from the branches, but they first went through the bushes and find a dying monster with an arrow pierced through its soft area.
The Dark Mages could only glance at each other, as they were somewhat confused by this. But they soon heard more monsters shrieking around them and this alarmed the two Dark Mages as they feared that this unknown assailant was watching them.
Somewhere...
Crouching on top of a tree branch was a young girl with short black hair, wearing a mask that covers the lower part of her face, a dark sleeveless shirt, a long fingerless glove that exposes the front of her right hand and covers her entire forearm, brown short pants, and quiver strapped around her back.
She sets her sights on the two Dark Mages with a bow on hand but observes them rather than reveal herself due to another purpose she had in mind.
Whispers rang within her mind and two sides argued to either handle the Dark Mages or let things be as they were. The girl remained silent even as the arguments ringed louder than ever.
However, she soon hears another voice within her mind and pulls her bow back as this was a different voice from a different person.
"Empress," A Telepathic Voice called out for her,
"Brain..." The girl known as Empress muttered back, "Why have you called me?"
"I wish to hear a status update of the Dark Guild 'Blood Tide'" Brain requested,
"I've delivered your message to the Guild Master as per your request and stated the deadline of their fee," Empress replied, "There were some complaints between their members. But as of now, they are taking action in order to earn whatever they can for their protection fee,"
"Well done, you are to return to our base of operation in one day's time," Brain instructed, "I have another assignment that I would like you handle once more,"
"Understood," Empress replied and shrouded herself into an imitation of a shadow wraith,
She then departs from the area without a sound and makes her way back to the base of the Dark Guild known as Oracion Seis, one of the three core guilds of the Balam Alliance.
Meanwhile...
Somewhere in a large town known as Era, Magic Councilor Org was seen in his home and reviewed certain documents that involve certain things. But most of those documents were involving one of the most notorious guilds known as Fairy Tail.
After some time, he had sensed a familiar presence in the room but didn't bat an eye as he was used to this presence in the room. Especially when it's made through a thought projection.
"I take you to have some news you wanted to share?" Org questioned,
"The Dark Guild known as 'Blood Tide' has received a message regarding their protection fee towards the Oracion Seis," The disoriented voice stated, "The same can be said for the other Dark Guilds under their thrall,"
"Which brings up the latest incidents of Dark Mages running about," Org stated,
"Precisely," The disoriented voice said,
Org sighs and rubbed his eyes a couple of times before continuing the discussion, "How long until they make their move?"
"Soon, Magic Councilor Org," The disoriented voice replied,
"And when will you report to me again?" Org questioned,
"Should I get another opportunity with my next assignment," A disoriented voice said, "Intel is rather hard to collect with certain individuals getting in the way of things,"
"Yet you managed to collect that information regardless of the risks behind it," Org said, "Which reminds me of whose side are you truly with,"
"No one... My contributions are simply a means to find my true target," The disoriented voice stated, "Once I've completed my task..."
"You disappear?" Org assumed,
"..." The disoriented voice remained silent, and Org sighs at this response,
"Very well, you may continue with your duty. But I must tell you that the other Magic Councilors have learned of your contributions through me," Org stated, "They wished for your identity, but I did what I could to convince them of your secrecy,"
"Liar... You merely told them the truth as my identity remains a secret even to you," The disoriented voice spoke once more,
"True," Org said, "And it's a question that I ask myself countless times,"
"I shall be leaving now," The disoriented voice said, "But should I have anything else to share, I will notify you some other time,"
With that, the projection fades into nothing and Org hung his head down as he felt uncertain before standing up from his chair with the report he had written down on a piece of paper.
He then passes this information to the Rune Knights and stated that this information was given by an anonymous source. One of the Rune Knights' Captains suggested that action must be taken, but Org rejected his suggestion as such action would only gain the attention of the Oracion Seis and risk exposure of this double agent.
But monitoring the Oracion Seis' progress is their utmost priority and certain requests under different names are sent to several Magic Guilds to prevent the Council's involvement.
I know it's short. But as I said, this is an experiment to see if it's good or not. So, feel free to make an opinion out of it. Regardless of how good or bad that opinion is, I accept it.
But if you bash at me directly, that's a whole different story.
That is all I have to say, stay safe from the virus, and I'll see you all soon.
