-German Beaches, 1944-

Rain was pouring. Thunder was roaring. The Allied troops were approaching Hydra's secret base. Victory was at hand, but Hydra was not going to go down without a fight. The Allied troops were slowly getting overwhelmed by Hydra's advanced weapons. They wouldn't give up though, not when victory is so close.

"WE'RE PINNED DOWN HERE!" shouted one soldier. "Where's our recon?"

"I'm working on it sir!" said one soldier who is frantically working. His fellow brothers in arms are dying around him and there a lot of explosions going off. A Hydra soldier approaches the two and is about to kill them, until a shield hits him across the face. It was Captain America."

"This is the end of the line, boys. Our job is to take down Hydra's science base, and we've already got a man on the inside to get us in. Now let's go show the Red Skull that his day is over!" The soldiers were inspired to fight on and pushed back Hydra.

"They really should make that standard issue." Said one of soldiers.

"Sorry one of a kind." said Captain America. They pushed them all the way back to Hydra's castle. The only thing standing in between them was a giant robot. A drawbridge drops and crushes it. On the other side was his faithful partner Bucky.

"What took you so long?" asked Bucky. Cap just smiles and chuckles.

"Any trouble inside Bucky?"

"There are Hydra soldiers everywhere. I couldn't get into the lower levels on my own without raising the alarm, but I know the way."

"Not a problem. The stealth portion of this mission is officially over."

"That was stealthy?" joked Bucky.

"I just became Captain last week. Cut me a break."

"Follow me." He said with a smile. Bucky leads them deep into the Castle and observed all of the experiments Hydra is working on.

"Smart bombs. Nerve gas. Germ warfare." Said Captain America.

"Okay, this is creeping me out. Hydra's been working on this stuff for years. Any one of these things could mean big trouble for the Allies.

"And that's why we're here, Bucky. No matter what, we're taking down the Skull once and for all." The enter a room and the find a blue stone floating in the center, the two approach it as the rest of the soldiers split up.

"What is that?" asked Bucky.

"I don't know. But if it's Hydra's it's not good." The walls turn and behind them were Hydra soldiers and their leader Red Skull.

"Hello Captain America. You shouldn't have come here. You would've lived longer." said Red Skull. Captain America gives Bucky a subtle look and Bucky gets ready.

"So what is this Skull? Still chasing legends?" said Cap.

"No I grow tired of relics. I found this stone that holds infinite potential. We call it Infinity stone. With this Hydra will take control of everything!"

"Hydra?" asked Bucky. "Not the Third Reich?"

"They are all fools who are too arrogant to see their own failing. They will fall, just like the rest of the world to Hydra."

"We agree on one thing Skull." Said Captain America. "They will fail. And so will you!"

"Quite right." Red Skull takes the stone. "Too bad you two won't live to see how Hydra takes over the world. Auf Wiedersehen Herr Captain." He walks out and leaves Captain America and Bucky to their fate.

"Ready Bucky?" asked Captain America.

"When am I not?" Bucky elbows one of the Hydra soldiers, just as Captain America throws shield knocking the rest of the Hydra Soldiers out.

"You couldn't have done that sooner?" asked Bucky jokingly.

"It's a group effort." said Cap.

"I only got that one guy!"

"Yeah the one guy I missed. Without you I wouldn't have gotten him." The two laugh and chase after the Red Skull. The two chased him all the way to the hangar, and the two see him in a giant plane about that is taking off.

"Damn we'll never catch up to him." said Bucky. Cap looks around and sees a modified motorcycle.

"You drive." Bucky gets on with Cap and together they take off and chase after the plane. As they got close Cap jumps on one of the tires. "Wish you were here Bucky."

"I am." said Bucky who was standing behind him.

"How did you?"

"There are other plane wheels and I know how to jump."

"Right...let's go." They made their way inside the airplane and found it to be empty. No weapons, no gadgets and no troops. They made it to the cockpit and they bust in through the door. "It's over Skull."

"You two have been more than a thorn on my side for too long." He said exasperatedly. "I'll take care of you both myself. He sets it to autopilot and fights the two. Bucky was able to sneak past Skull, as Cap has kept him occupied. Bucky could not control the plane. Cap hits Red Skull in the face with his shield and the stone comes out of Skull's hand and it lands by Bucky's feet. He picks it up and the stone glows and a portal opeOns before the plane. The plane flies through it and they find themselves over the ocean, nearing the arctic. Bucky quickly ran back to the and started to damage the engines. With the engines weakened the plane started to descend. He runs back and finds Captain America still fighting. He runs over and dropkicks Red Skull to create distance between Cap and Red Skull. Cap charges at him Shield first and hits Red Skull sending him backwards and lands on the controls hard enough for it to short circuit. The auto pilot is disabled and the plane starts to go in to a nosedive.

"I'll control the plane." Said Captain America. "You make sure Red Skull doesn't escape." Bucky, thinking fast gives the one and only parachute to Cap.

"Sorry Steve. I can't let you do that. The world needs you a lot more than it needs Bucky." He shoves him out of the plane. As he falls he turns and sees the plane exploding.

"NO! BUCKY!" The explosion knocks Captain America towards the ocean floor faster and lands in the cold arctic water, where he remain frozen until he was rediscovered. However for Bucky he too survived the explosion, and was also frozen. But he was not found for really long time.

-Two Years after the fall of the Regime-

A laboratory found a giant piece of ice that was washed ashore. They didn't know what it was but for a giant piece of ice to land here was something worth investigating. Their machines helped melt the ice and inside was Bucky who is missing an arm. They quickly thaw him out of the ice and life began to come back to him. He slowly opened his eyes, but the light was a little strong for him so it made things hard to see for him. His eyes slowly got used to it and looked and saw two people.

"Who..who are you? Where am I?" One of them started to speak.

"Welcome to Latveria. I'm Doctor Doom."

"And I am Captain Marvel. You must be Bucky. We need your help to rescue Captain America."
