Great. Another One-Shot Story you have just come up in my head and I intend this to be like my other stories. I am trying to write stories that isn't related to anything I had done over the past two years. So here is another Star Wars work that is set between a year and a half prior to the Phantom Menace and the start of the Clone Wars. Yeah, I changed it because there will be something special.
Anyway, if you are wondering which Fallout character I am going to use is Courier Six and the Outfit he'd be using is the same in the cover, but it is the Elite Riot Gear variant.
So, if any Fallout or Star Wars diehard fans are reading this, please criticise me if I got anything wrong. Which includes how the Courier had somehow enter the Star Wars Galaxy.
One more thing, I just published this story to see if this or my other story; Elder Scrolls: Tales of the Unknown Heroes of the Old Republic, would be better to write. It's your choice at the end.
Let's get into the story shall we oh and I do not own Fallout and Stars cause I am not part of two of the biggest companies ever.
Chapter One: Courier's Welcome to the Far, Far Galaxy
"Seriously, what the hell did I just wake up to?!"
Those were the first words that Courier Six spoke. Hours ago, he was sleeping on a campsite somewhere in the Mojave Wasteland. The next thing he knew, he'd woken up in a place that was not clearly the Wasteland that he was aware of.
Bringing up his Pip Boy, he saw that it was still functional. That was good news for him. Looking down, he'd also seen his Elite Riot Gear Helmet and his weapons, the YCS/186 Gauss Rifle and the AER-14 Prototype Laser Rifle along with some Pre-War stun grenades. Well, at least his equipment manage to be with him in the unknown place. Lucky for him, he had enough Microfusion and Energy Cells left until he had to restock somewhere.
That was already a problem for him considering that he is in an unknown place.
Putting his helmet back on and putting the Laser rifle on his back, the Courier looked around for a few minutes before he walked in the direction of where the sun was. But he was still bewildered by his current situation.
He thought of every experience that he has been through, From getting shot in the head and surviving, to being the party of a death game hosted by some insane former leader of a Fanatical Faction, to even having his FREAKING brain removed and somehow obtaining it back. Not to mention he won the War of New Vegas by himself with the help of the NCR while also confronting something from his past that he unwittingly nuked.
But…this was something new to him. And he had no idea what to even think about. He was alone. All of his companions are in the Wasteland. Doing this that they liked. Him? He was in this unknown place where he had never set foot upon.
Minutes went by from thinking about those thoughts and the sound of the wildlife was ringing in his ears. He didn't mind the sound though as he continued to walk towards a nearby settlement. He saw that it was becoming midday and he really wanted to know where the hell he is.
"I swear If I don't find a nearby settlement at this rate…" Courier Six mumbled to himself in frustration before he stopped in his tracks. Perhaps playing some songs that were downloaded on his Pip Boy would ease his confused mind. Perhaps putting on some Frank Sinatra. As he played the music on his Pip Boy, he soon heard the song play.
And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "please adore me"
And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold
Okay, maybe playing that type of music wasn't exactly helping him. Pulling out his Pip Boy, Six stopped the music.
In an instant, he saw a young girl, no more than the age of fourteen and wearing some unusual clothing, running towards him. Her expression told him that something bad has happened. Something told him that his music caught the girl's attention.
She stopped and the man could see that she had brunette hair that reached up to her shoulder and blue eyes upon looking at him.
"Hey, stranger!" She stopped as she was catching some air after running and standing in front of him. "C-can you help…"
"Slow down. I can't hear what you're saying." Courier Six cut the girl off as he allowed her to let her catch some breath. When that was done, he proceeded to ask the young girl his question. "What do you mean by help?"
The young girl looked at him with the same expression as she fought back her tears. "My village, it is being raided by Death Watch! I manage to get out in time before they held my parents hostage! Please I beg you for your help! I don't want them to die!"
Now that was something that caught the Courier's attention. Her village was being sacked by this Death Watch group that he has never heard of. If he could save this girl's village as well as her family, then he would be able to gain the information that he needed. He looked at the girl and nodded. "Sure, I will help."
"Oh, thank you so much, Stranger!" The girl said in relief.
The two proceeded to go to the mentioned village and upon nearing the location, they could see smoke coming out. Seeing this happening only reminded the Courier of what Ceaser's Legion did to that one Mojave location. Killed everyone and set everything ablaze. That alone made him clench his weapon.
"I'll go and check it out and you should stay here if I were you." He looked at the young girl before he proceeded to make his way toward the settlement.
Upon reaching the high point that overlooks the entire village, Six pulled out his Gauss Rifle and looked through its scope to scan the entire village. There, he saw people being rounded up by these strange, armoured individuals clad in grey and blue. What was eye-catching was that all had visors that were in T-shaped visors. Were they this Death Watch that the girl has mentioned before?
Counting a total of around twelve, the courier continued to look through his scope to see one of the armoured individuals pulling out a weird looking blaster pistol before he aimed it at the people. He knew that he couldn't let these people get killed.
'Guess you left me with no choice?' Courier Six said in his head before he pulled the trigger to shoot at the one who got his weapons out.
*BOOM*
Through the scope, the Courier saw that the man was instantly dead upon the shot's impact as he saw blood flowing out from his helmet. But he couldn't help to see that the helmet was still intact except for the shattered T-shaped visor.
'Oh that's just great, these armoured individuals have laser-proof materials for their armour. Guess I'll just shoot their unprotected plating then?' Six said in his head as he knew that just shooting at them anywhere will just bounce his shot off. Luckily, he could just shoot at them through the unprotective parts.
*BOOM*
This shot caught the armoured people's attention as they scanned through the area to see where the shot had come from. Not wanting to waste another opportunity, Six quickly loaded another round and fired another shot at an individual that was near the captured civilians.
"Okay, better take out the remaining chance soon." Courier Six muttered to himself as he switched to his laser weapon and proceeded to sneak up to the remaining ten.
Speaking of which, all were confused as to what had happened. All their members had managed to round up all of the civilians to a small house, which they were planning to set fire. None ever expected to have two of their members killed within a single shot that was fired from an unknown assailant.
With that plan now foiled, were about to set the small house on fire, the one with the flamethrower gauntlet was soon gunned down as he was shot where there was no armour plating by a powerful blast. With three now down, the surviving armoured bandits continued to look around the area to see where the shot had come from.
"Find where that shot come from!" One of them that was clearly a man shouted.
*BLAST*
Just as he had said those words, another shot was fired, killing him when it reached a venerable part that reached his heart. This time, the shot seemed closer and saw that no one was present.
As they were about to use their jetpacks to see if they can spot this individual, all of them were stunned when a strange object was thrown into the middle as it exploded right in the spot. The tied-up civilians were also affected but at least they were not targeted. Their visions were blurring, causing all to cover their visors with their hands.
Not wanting to waste this opportunity, Courier Six rushed towards them where he grabbed a blaster from a dead armoured individual and shot three down that were stunned dead.
As soon as the two were down, the remaining five soon uncover their eyes as their vision became less blurry. All saw an individual standing in the middle. He wore some sort of outfit that closely resembled a hybrid of a bounty hunter by the looks of his brown trench coat.
"Who's that?!" One of the armoured people asked.
"Don't know. But he's likely the one responsible for killing our brethren!"
"He! I thought he was she—"
That were the last words that one of the armoured individuals spoke as he was shot in the weak spot multiple times. The remaining four opened fire on the Courier, who immediately rolled to cover. At that exact moment, all four activated their jetpacks so that they could look from above and rat this strange individual out from his hiding place.
Said individual heard the sound of hoovering. He was aware that it was at a disadvantage. "Well, that was stupid of me to do." Courier Six muttered to himself as he peaked from his cover.
As expected, he saw one of the four armoured people hoovering near his position. Instinctively, he pulled out his Gauss Rifle and fired another round. This killed him, but a missile somehow appeared from his jetpack and exploded near him.
This knocked him out and he was lying on the ground. His Gauss Rifle was near him but he knew he couldn't exactly reach it as it was kicked away from him. His vision was a bit blurry but he could see the remaining three aiming their blasters at him.
"So, you really thought you could kill all of us?" One of them stated rather than being asked.
Courier Six let out a chuckle before he replied very blatantly. "Well, I guess I was overconfident to see that bandits could overwhelm me."
*KICK*
The Courier groaned a bit as he felt someone kicking his stomach. He wasn't surprised that his voice would result in him getting this treatment.
Another one of the armoured individuals narrowed his eyes underneath his helmet at him, "Bandits? Who do you think you are calling Bandits?"
"You have insulted people from Death Watch, the true Descendants of the Mandalorian People who wish to overthrow the corrupt and pacifistic Government that dares to insult our traditions!" Another one spoke.
Courier Six let out a sigh. At least he knows who these Death Watch people areas he was about to die. "You know what? I don't care what you are, okay! To me, you are all just a bunch of idiots who idolize a past that I have no idea what you are all talking about. Why wouldn't you just kill me right now to prove your claims!"
Now that insulted the three remaining members of the Death Watch group in this village as they glared at the Courier just stared back at them. "Very well." The last one spoke as he and his brethren aimed their weapons at him. They were about to execute him when—
*BOOM*
*BLAST*
*BOOM*
Courier Six just blinked eyes underneath his helmet for a few seconds before he turned to see the captured civilians, now free from their bonds thanks to the girl he saw earlier, aimed the Death Watch's weapon at them.
All three remaining Death Watch members dropped down to the ground with a thud as the Courier just laid there facing the sky. 'At least I can rest now.'' He said to himself as everything became white.
-A Few Days Later-
The first thing that Courier Six knew was that he was looking up to a ceiling. He sat up before jumping out of bed. He could feel his legs wobbling a bit before he manage to stand up before he rubbed his head. He looked around to see that he was in some sort of clinic. "Jeez, how long was I asleep?"
"For a couple of days now." Six turned to the door to see a man wearing a strange looking Doctor's outfit. "As soon as you were knocked out, she told us that you needed medical attention immediately. I'm surprised that you manage to recover quickly."
Raising an eyebrow up in suspicion, Courier Six looked down to see that he was no longer in his outfit. Instead, he was just standing there in his undergarments. This didn't surprise him as it wasn't the first time he ended up in a situation like this.
Hearing another set of footsteps, both men then look at a familiar girl that was holding up his folded clothes that had be refurbished as well as his helmet and Pip Boy. She smiled at him upon walking into the room. "It's nice to see you awake. My parents and I, including everyone are grateful for your help in saving our village."
The Courier let out a chuckle at the young girl's response. "Well, you were seeking help. So I did what I had to do. Help people in the best possible way."
That caused her to laugh. "Well I, along with a few others, were surprised that you manage to kill nine Death Watch members by yourself." Her expression soon morphed into seriousness, "But your actions may have caught Death Watch's attention. You won't survive another encounter next time with them."
"Oh yeah…" Courier Six soon realised, remembering those armoured individuals that he fought and killed. And since he was still in the village, it would be wise just to lay low for one more day to stock up on supplies and continue with his travels. But before he could do that, he had something to ask. "Hey. So if you didn't know—"
…
…
…
Well now, that was a lot of knowledge for the Courier to process on. And he was ready to leave the village that he saved.
From what he was told, he was in a planet that was part of Mandalorian Space. And with the topic of Mandalorian, it was no different to the one of Ceaser's Legion back in the Mojave Wasteland. He get it that that there are those who seek the old way, but he had to consider that there are some that wishes to change the way of the Mandalorian Ways.
Oh yeah, realisation soon hit him as he was in freaking space and that there were other planets and systems in this galaxy.
Then he learned that there are other species. All he remember were the beautiful Twi'Leks that came from Ryloth, Togrutras from Shili, big hairy giants called the Wookies from Kashyyyk. The list goes on an on. He was glad that there were humans as well throughout the galaxy.
Since he save the village, they rewarded him with the materials, a metal called Durasteel that was basically tough, which were collected from the remaining resources that they had left. All of his metallic parts of his outfit, including his helmet, were replaced by that material. The Courier was grateful for that as he could be protected by whatever is thrown at him.
His weapons got some modifications as well, which meant that he wouldn't have to sorry in restocking back up to supplies for any ammunitions. Still, he would still have to worry about his weapons being overheated. That is good for him as he knew he couldn't handle those Death Watch members in a way that he wanted.
His Pip Boy was also modified to fit in the Galaxy's map as well as multiple planets and location.
The Courier was now ready to leave as they gave him an errand to do for them while they handed him some sort of money called Credit and essential supplies as well.
As he left the village, he waved goodbye to the people that cared for him over the past few days. Six promised to visit them once he had done a job for them in delivering a valuable package meant for someone on the planet Shili. Perhaps it is for some client of the village. But at least he could explore this new galaxy while having an objective to go back home. He told him that by doing this, he will be rewarded with another upgrade to hid equipment.
The Courier continued to walk towards the location to where there will be transported to go to planet Shili. Putting his rifle up in the air, Courier Six had the face of determination underneath his masked helmet as he was ready for anything was thrown directly or indirectly at him.
He is a Courier after all and will stay as one as long as he wants. That type of job requires people like him to be quickly as they possible can. Which includes getting their hands dirty throughout the errand.
Did you enjoy this one short story? Because this and Elder Scrolls: Tale of the Unknown Heroes of the Old Republic are now in their starting point of the story.
Wondering why there may be so many errors is cause I written this in a single day.
Oh yeah, there's going to be a twist when the Courier reaches the planet Shili. It is the home world of the Togrutas after all and blatantly speaking, you know what I am implying?
If there is any errors as shown in the Courier's fight against the Mandalorian Terrorist Splinter, Group Death Watch, which I failed to consider their other mechanics and skills that they had, then please criticise me. I do have some knowledge of the Star Wars lore but do not know how to execute it very realistically.
But that doesn't matter just enjoy the story. Read and review my story if you want to and I will see you whenever I can.
