Fog covered a ship at night in the middle of the ocean as a man walked amongst the deck, passing cages, a lantern in his hand. He slammed his ax on one of the cages when a dragon growled inside. All the cages that were filled and carried onboard were all filled with dragons.

"Quiet!" He looks around and watches as a bright orange flame lit up the darkness the man saw a dark shadow in the shape of a man, holding a flaming sword. "What are you?"

The shadow placed his finger against his mouth. "Shh."

The man gasped as he turned around and saw a black dragon slink its way off of the top of one of the cages. In a moment of panic, he raced to the man and notices his armor, but the masked figure was able to dodge the attack. When he went in for a swing, Hiccup smacked the lantern and it shattered on impact, setting fire to the deck.

The man screamed as the two intruders walked through the fire as if it were nothing to them. "AAH! You're a demon!"

"Oh! No, no, no." The figure said as he waved his hand assuring him. "No, I'm not a demon!" He said as he then removed his helmet and revealed Hiccup.

He's standing at 6'1" and his hair is somewhat scraggy and unkempt with two small braids behind his right ear covered by his mask. He seems to have gained a leaner, stronger build than the scrawny he started with.

His outfit now is partly leather around his upper body with what appears to be a type of armor and arm brackets that seem to be designed by himself, making him look more like his dragon, Toothless. He's also wearing a spiked mask when he glides in the air, as his outfit doubles as a squirrel jacket capable of gliding. His pants are dark brown and have straps around them with a leather boot for his right foot. He also carries a fire blade called Inferno.

"See? Just a guy! Just a guy, here to rescue these dragons, so…" Hiccup gestured to the cages around him, but the man continued to panic.

"But you walked through fire!" He cried in terror and Hiccup was surprised this guy didn't seem to know who he was. At this point, he assumed all of the Dragon Hunters knew about him due to his interference with their work.

Hiccup rubbed the shoulder pauldron of his armor. "Dragon Scales! Dragons shed a lot."

The man shook his head, backing up even more. "Ooh! I know a demon when I see one! No human legs are that skinny!"

But before he could run, Toothless placed his tail out causing him to slip and hit his head against the deck.

"Great work, Bud." Hiccup sighed, happy that they didn't seem to alert the crew. Not knowing they have set up a trap to catch Hiccup and Toothless. "Come on, let's get them out of here."

Hiccup got to work and opened one of the cages and approached a baby Deadly Nadder. "Hey, girl."

The dragon didn't seem to trust him as it snarled, trying to scare Hiccup off, but he just slowly approached her.

"It's okay." Hiccup assured the baby Nadder as he shushed her and placed his hand against her snout to gain her trust. "We're gonna get you out of here."

Toothless was also working on opening the cages, something that took a while for Hiccup to teach him. But he eventually got the hang of it in the end.

Hiccup was then walking across the deck and felt something was off when his fear was confirmed when someone cried out: "Attack!"

Hiccup and Toothless then saw more Hunters coming in to fight. "Get the rest out of here, Toothless!"

Hiccup then raced in, ducking an attack from one of the Hunters, and swung Inferno, disarming him as Toothless helped fast by tackling the Hunter.

Hiccup then used the secondary feature of his sword, the gas of a Zippleback, and let it cross the deck before lighting it up, causing an explosion that took some of them down.

"Now go get the rest." Hiccup tells Toothless who leaped off to open the last few cages.

Another Hunter charged at him, but Hiccup dodged at the last second, causing the Hunter to ram into the cage. Once the last of the cages were empty, Hiccup sighed and saw that there were no more Hunters and closed Inferno. But the lack of light then revealed that there were indeed more of them.

"Oh." Hiccup said sheepishly and knew they'd get the first strike in if he went for his sword now. "Hey, guys."

One of them chuckled when they started getting mowed down by Toothless as he charged through them all and reached Hiccup.

Once he did, the rider jumped on his dragon, and they leaped off the deck before flying off into the sky. "Nice work, Bud!"

They then flew off and thought they were in the clear before they heard a screech and Hiccup looked back and sighed at who it was.

"This guy again." Hiccup groaned as even Toothless groaned at the sight of him.

They were currently being chased by a Singetail and its rider.

Its rider is Krogan. The head of the Dragon Hunters.

Krogan has dark, olive-toned skin, black hair, and a goatee. He's rather thin but has a muscular upper body. He used to hide his face in the hood of his cloak and mask but decided that he no longer needed to hide his identity right after his temporary leadership over the Dragon Hunters. Krogan also wears a dark green tunic with a red snakeskin-like shirt with a light red outline to make it resemble more like a chest plate, silver bracers on his arms, and light tan pants with a belt buckle of Drago's brand insignia, and silvery blue boots.

Krogan's Singetail is much larger than all the other known Singetails. Though never confirmed, she could be considered a Titan Wing, being the same size as the Titan Wing Dramillion. Her color is blood-red with dark red to maroon muzzle, socks, and markings.

"Now I know what you're thinking...a lone Viking, riding a dragon." Hiccup narrated.

Hiccup and Toothless flew into the thick of the fog to the fog to try and get out of Krogan's line of sight and escape as he opened fire on the dragon and his rider.

"A Night Fury, the most dangerous and deadly of all dragons, no less."

Hiccup then fixed Toothless's tail to go faster and made their way through the fog, hoping they could get out of the Singetail's tracking.

Far away from everyone, running away from everyone. You're probably asking yourself 'why is he here? Why isn't he with his people?' Well...that all took place five years ago."

Back on Berk, Hiccup was currently scrawny and trying to work in the blacksmiths.

"My name is Hiccup Haddock. Great name, I know, but it's not the worst. Parents believe a hideous name will frighten off gnomes and trolls. I lived on the Island of Berk. Growing up, I was despised and bullied, unwanted by pretty much everyone, including my father. Unlike all the other teenagers in the village, I was weak, and skinny, to the point that I could barely lift a sword or even fight. All my life I have tried my best to prove myself to my father, who is Stoick the Vast. They say when he was a baby, he broke a dragon's head clean off. Do I believe that? Yeah, I kinda do."

Dragons then came down and attacked the village as a raid began.

"For over seven generations, we have been at war with dragons. But everything changed one night when I took down the deadliest of them all, a Night Fury. Nobody believed me of course when I said I shot it from the sky. The scrawniest of all Vikings took down the most fearful dragon. I wouldn't have believed me."

Hiccup then sneaked out and found the downed Night Fury tied up in a bola. Walking over, he saw that it wasn't dead, just unconscious.

"The next morning, I went out into the forest, and I found it. Injured, asleep, ripe for the taking. I was ready to kill it, to finally prove I was a true Viking."

Toothless then looked at Hiccup who took his knife out and got ready to cut out his heart when he noticed the dragon was looking at him.

"But...the strangest thing was, I couldn't kill it. It was just as scared as I was. I looked into his eyes and saw...me."

Hiccup sighed and dropped the knife and leaned against a rock. Thinking about it, he let the dragon do it and allowed him to leave.

"But I let him go and made it out alive. Over time, I gained his trust and respect, and when I saw he lost his tail fin, I set to make it right by making one for him."

Hiccup was then making his way through Dragon training to the point where I was chosen to kill a dragon.

"Knowing I couldn't go through with it, due to the fact I didn't want to be a dragon killer, or even a Viking anymore. I knew what I was, and it was neither of those things. I was a Dragon Rider."

"Leaving. We're leaving." Hiccup says, entering the cove while carrying a basket of everything he'll need to leave Berk forever. "Looks like you and I are taking a little vacation. Forever." He then looked around and wondered where he was. "Toothless? Come on, Bud."

Toothless then woke up from his nap and walked over to Hiccup, confused by what was happening.

"Come on, let's go, Bud." Hiccup said as he strapped the basket on the saddle and then got himself on the back before taking off.

"After a while, I learned of a group that hunts dragons called Dragon Hunters. Not a very original name, I know. And I've made it my mission to put an end to their business. Which is how I met Krogan. The guy who you met me running away from. And that brings us to today..."
