This work will be rather short and the only reason I am splitting this into multiple chapters is that I am and always will be a lazy git.

Leaky Cauldron

A night out drinking at the leaky Cauldron was not exactly Hermione's idea of a fun night but Ginny had been adamant that she take a night off from work. Ginny had also told Molly that Rose would be visiting the Burrow. Her relationship with Molly had been fraught after Ron left and she didn't want to strain it when it had just started to heal. Hermione sighed if it was not for Ginny's blatant manipulation, She would not be here.

Ginny returned with their drinks. "Are you even trying to have fun?" She asked

" What part of having beer spilled on me am supposed to find fun?"

"The part where you get so drunk that you spill whiskey on someone else," Ginny responded.

" I am not letting you leave until I know you get hungover."

"I have a child, Ginny." Hermione said

"You are just 23 and your child had a loving grandmother who wants to spend time with her. It is okay to let loose."

As much as she loathed to admit it, Hermione was bone tired, She had been taking care of her daughter for more than 2 years. She had also found time to get her heart broken by a witch and she deserved to get drunk.

Half an hour later

All three of them were drunk, Ginny and Harry were confessing their undying love to each other. Hermione had been trying to remember if she could name all the rules of transfiguration when she was rudely interrupted by Ginny.

"Hermione!? Is that your ex?" She asked pointing to a read-headed woman on a stool waiting for Tom to serve her a drink. She couldn't see her face but she was sitting alone.

"What was her name? Leo.. Sliversomething, Leola Silvertooth?" Ginny asked

"Thorn, Silverthorn." Harry Provided helpfully.

Hermione had foolishly fallen in love with a woman who had made it very clear from the start that their relationship was temporary. It had been embarrassing and horrible but she was mostly over her by now.

Hermione shook her head. "She is too tall." Hermione said... "Let me take a better look."

"No! Hermione No" Harry said half-heartedly. Ginny did try to grab her but she was able to shrug her off. She ignored her while she walked towards the tall red-headed woman.

"Can I buy you a drink?" Hermione asked. The woman turned towards her. She was pretty but her face seemed oddly familiar. She had seen her before but she wasn't sure. She looked a lot like Ron.

"Ron?" she muttered.

The women flinched a little. "Adria" She corrected

"Sorry," Hermione whispered.

"It is alright, Hermione." She said, "You are pretty sloshed, I am going to lead you to your friends."

Hermione nodded wondering how this strange woman knew her name. She wanted to ask her but she was distracted by gently guiding her back towards her friends.

"Hey guys, She is pretty drunk." Adira told her friends.

"I think you guys should head home." She added

"You smell nice." Hermione whispered.

Adria chuckled but didn't respond as she helped her sit down.

The rest of the night was a blur, They had spent another hour getting drinking before Tom cut them off. They decided to crash at her place.

The next morning

Hermione had a headache she couldn't bear at all. She had woken up at 11 to find Harry and Ginny already in the Kitchen. They were making breakfast, Well Harry was anyway while Ginny pretended to help.

"Thanks for letting us crash here." Ginny said.

"What are you cooking? It smells divine?" She asked Harry

Ginny chuckled, "Smells nice does it?"

Hermione blushed when she remembered how big of an idiot she had been last night.

"I should have never listened to you!" Hermione snapped. " I must have looked like such a creep to that poor woman."

"It is alright, She seemed nice." Harry tried to placate her.

"She reminded me of Ron." Hermione said

"Ron?"Ginny asked " The only thing she had with Ron was being Tall and a redhead."

"I don't know." Hermione responded. "...Maybe, I just miss him."

"We all do." Harry added.

Two weeks after they had broken up, Ron had up and left the country. He had told Harry that he was planning on traveling before he disappeared. A mail would arrive every few months letting them know that he was alive but it had been years since they had seen him.

Someone knocked on their door, "Any visitors?" Harry asked.

"Let me get it." Hermione said as she left the kitchen

She unlocked and standing in front of her was the woman from the pub. Hermione could see it, see the resemblance that this woman had with Ron. In broad light and her mind clear from alcohol.

"It's been a while." Adria whispered.
