Author's Note: Okay, so! The little excerpt below started out as a beginning for a Lost Boys story that was going to feature an OC, and be strictly held in the main category. But! After kind of losing steam on those ideas, I've recently been thinking of how it would be a great opener to a Twilight/Lost Boys Crossover and thus, here we are! So, if the opening looks kind of familiar, that would be why. Here's to hoping this idea goes better than the original! Cheers!
Story Information:
Rating: Fiction M/NSFW (please see below!)
Pairing: Bella Swan/Lost Boys
Casting: Bella, Phoebe Tonkin.
Warning!: Obvious AU/OOC qualities! In this story, the Cullen's do not return in the Spring, and I might be tweaking the Boys' vampiric visages just a bit. See below for any further warnings!

Disclaimer: In no way do I own, or claim to own, the characters from the Twilight Series (movies/novels) or from The Lost Boys (movie/novel/comics). Those are purely the work of their amazing authors/writers, producers, directors, actors, etc. I also do NOT own any copyrighted/trademarked material that may be mentioned or cited in this story. This is simply me playing with the characters, and I only claim my personal plot bunnies!
"The blood of the covenant is thicker than the waters of the womb."
She awoke violently; all wispy blonde strands crowding her face, blocking her airways as she coughed and hacked, nearly gagging with the sensation. Desperate to rid herself of the sensation and gain access to fresh oxygen, she tried to brush the hair from her mouth and eyes, only to find that her wrists were stuck one to the other, trapped uncomfortably behind her back. Her eyes flew open wide in shock, deep blue orbs filled with terror and confusion when her surroundings did not match that of which she had known before.
What once had been a cutesy beach house with warm sand and frothy waves crashing upon the shore had turned into a barren cavern, filled with junk and riddled with a layer of thick dust.
How the hell…
Rolling sideways in a clumsy attempt to lift herself into a sitting position, she hissed out a pained breath when her sore shoulders twinged, fingers clenching into white-knuckled fists and a soft noise of distress bit off between gritted teeth, transforming the sound into a muffled groan. Ignoring the pain in her arms she blew the soft strands away from her line of sight, her eyes widening just a bit more when she let her gaze wander over what lay before her.
And she screamed.
She screamed herself hoarse, until her throat was raw and tears spilt down her flushed cheeks, and she would have continued to scream until she no longer possessed the breath to do so. But the high-pitched wailing was suddenly silenced. A cool hand with a harsh grip sealed itself over her chapped lips, thumb and fingers wrapped around her jaw, squeezing until she thrashed in the foreign hold and gave a pained shriek. She blinked the blur of moisture from her eyes, relieving her hazy vision, and breathed in sharply when a figure bloomed from the shadows, dark and enchanting. Her pale skin made her form luminous in the moonlight that peeped in from an opening, while the flicker of flames made her hauntingly beautiful.
But her smile…her smile twisted into a malicious mirth that left shivers of fear rippling down the blonde girl's spine.
"Hush now," Her captor admonished, tutting softly beneath her breath. "You wouldn't want to wake the dead…"
Dainty fingers gestured to the looming structure of a dilapidated fountain only inches away, the grip on her face forced her up to her knees, the stranger uncaring of the agonized screech that was quieted by her hand. She was eager to boast of her find, excitement easily readable within her features, an almost gleeful laughter tumbling from her lips. Unable to help her curiosity, blue eyes hesitantly focused themselves on what lay within the ring of stone and fire. Mounds of freshly overturned dirt piled along the edges, baring four separate holes nestled between each winding arm of iron, courtesy of a fallen chandelier. But it was what each tiny trench held that prompted her wailing screams to start up once more, regardless of the heavy hand upon her throat; graves…they were fucking graves!
"-yet."
The blade slides through skin and muscle so easily, it's actually quite surprising, almost disconcerting. It reminded her of a heated knife slipping through butter, or some other equally silly idiom. After the initial puncture through the barrier between her and that which she needs, it flays through layer after layer with very little resistance. She could just feel the sensation beneath the knife she gripped so tightly in her palm, her knuckles begin to whiten, but it's there. She doesn't flinch when the warm spray backsplashes with the sweeping movement her arm makes, painting her cheek and chest a gruesomely captivating crimson, nor does she let the horrified screams of those trapped along the circle's edge distract her from her final goal, her duty.
Instead, she focused on the golden bowl, how it shimmered in the firelight that billowed out of old steel barrel drums, somehow still standing through the test of time. Her slender fingers tangle through blonde locks limp with the sweat of fear, yanking until the now gaping throat of her victim hovers above it, spilling the liquid treasure inside. The younger girl gurgles through the blood leaking up her throat and flails her body spastically, but her fight is weak, something easily overcome by the brunette who stands above her, a maniacal glint in her hazel orbs.
"W-why?"
The whisper is broken, hardly noticeable through bloodstained lips.
She tilts her head to the side inquisitively, watching on as most all of the blood is captured by the shiny bowl. What little escapes seeps into the thin white material of her dress, blooming across the expanse in almost floral-like patterns, staining her ivory skin through its cutouts a pretty red color. Her cool gaze meets the girl's blue one just as the light in her eyes dims, life fading away with every drop of innocent blood that pours from her body.
"You had something I need."
-Blood Ties; Story Information, Continued-
Rating: As mentioned above, I'm putting this at a Mature/NSFW rating, for multiple reasons. Those include; emotional trauma/situations, heavy angst/depression, violence/fighting/gore, murder/criminal intent, some blood play (they are vampires, after all), language/cursing, adult themes and situations, graphic material/content, character death, supernatural/magickal elements, Cullen!bashing, plenty of citrus scenes, poly-couple themes, hot vampire biker boys, etc...I think that's it. Be prepared!
Trigger Warnings: Should there be something that is overly graphic and not something viewed in either of the series, I'll place a trigger warning at the top. Just know that death is common here, they're human drinking vampires after all. There will be absolutely no rape themes in this story, however. So that is not a worry you'll find here.
Pairing: As mentioned above in the rating, this will be a poly-couple arrangement. I'm not sure as of yet how far I will take that, but Bella will have relationships with each of the boys!
Updates: I don't have a definitive schedule for this one, nor do I have an official outline, so who knows where it could go! I'm aware that I have plenty of stories that need attention, including another Twilight/Lost Boys Crossover, so I'm really just going to be updating when the ideas strike and the words flow. For now, that is! :D
Format/Flashbacks: Any flashbacks will be noted with a time/place heading, while dream sequences will simply be in italics.
AU/OOC: As I stated in Little Girl Lost, I might be tweaking the Boys' vampire characteristics to a more modern approach, kind of a mixture between their original visages and those used in TVD/TO. Cold Ones will remain the same as described in the Twilight-Verse.
Casting: I typically pick Lily Collins for my Bella (okay, for basically all my characters, lol!), but for this I'm going to stick with Phoebe Tonkin. I don't know what it is, but she just fits!
