Triumvirate

The Beginning: A plot bunny that grew into a plot dinosaur that I can no longer ignore. I started this because a friend of mine who was battling chronic illness fell in love with this series, the Fenris siblings, and the little bit of writing that features them as a pair, taboo as it might be. She asked me if I would consider exploring the idea with her, and I did. What we came up with was good, definitely. But what we came up with recently I feel is much more interesting, and new in a way since there are multiple AU! Elements. If you enjoy it, yay! Here's hoping.

Summary: With the flow of time, the infamous history of Fenris has long since been buried, surviving only within dusty tomes and the occasional word of mouth, stories recited by mutants long of this world, sounding more like legend and myth than truth. It's the scary story told to young ones, encouraging them to behave, should the wolf in the night come for them. The name has lost its meaning, no longer considered the terrifyingly beautiful thing of years past. But the Wolf is waking up... Anneliese Strucker knows it isn't normal, these overwhelming sensations that leave her heart racing and her lungs gasping for breath in the dead of night. The near sentient connection that she shares with her brothers, pulsing between them, never ceasing despite how she tries to bury it within her consciousness, and heart. It wasn't normal, it wasn't human. So when everything in their lives crumbles around them and it sinks in that they aren't, in fact, human at all, she feels nothing but relief. Until the past comes to life, and the truth of their heritage makes itself known in all its beautiful and deadly glory.

Creative Licensing: I cannot stress enough that there WILL be Alternative/Alternate Universe Elements to this story. I'll be using both the Soulmate/Soulmark!AU, as well as the Genderbend/Genderbent!AU. If you aren't a fan of those, this might not be the story for you.

Canon: I'll be using mainly the information/universe developed by the TV Series for The Gifted, but I will be pulling some information from the comics to use as well. In addition, I'll be adding in my own scenes and tweaks to certain powers, situations, etc.

Age(s): So, for this story I'm going to be tweaking the ages a bit. In both location settings for the series, the age of consent is sixteen (16). However, I'm simply not as comfortable with that. So, in that case, I'll bumping up their ages a bit. Laurence Strucker, will be set in his senior year of high school and will be eighteen (18). Andy and Anneliese Strucker both will be seventeen (17), in their junior year of high school. I know that it's rare, but some mothers do immediately conceive once given the go ahead to do so. The twins and Laurence will be separated by just a little over a year.

Pairing: For some, this will not be your cup of tea. That's absolutely fine! I don't want anyone reading a thing if it makes them uncomfortable. However, this is a piece of fiction, and my friend practically begged me to explore the fandom to see what I thought about a triad idea. After watching the show, and seeing the borderline dynamic already there, I decided to indulge her. Not only that, going back and reading some information about the Fenris Twins seems to yield the same idea. I've considered the idea before with my TVD story, so some of you may be fine with this as well. If you find yourself triggered or uncomfortable with the mere idea, then please do not continue! There are plenty of stories out there, this one doesn't have to be one that you read.

Writing Format: Typically 1,500 to 6,000 word chapters, some dream sequences and flashbacks will be showcased. There will also be some writing from the past with the original Fenris siblings.

Update Schedule: I cannot and do not want to promise constant updates, only to let readers down. Depending on interest and my own muse, I will update this story any time inspiration strikes, so tell me if you love it! Your feedback always helps, but I'll never hold a story hostage for reviews. This is supposed to be fun, after all!
