I've decided to rewrite this

It was 2 a.m when Emilie was awoken from her slumber. She never got any sleep anymore, thanks to the newest addition of the family. She glanced over at her still sleeping husband, before heaving herself out of the comfort of her bed to go to her crying child. She walked into the nursery that she and Gabriel had prepared months before his arrival, and glanced into the crib that held her sobbing son. She gently picked up the blonde newborn and began to rock him.

"you are my sunshine, my only sunshine" her sweet voice joined Adrien's cries in the silent night. "You make me happy, when skies are grey" Adrien's wails were beginning to stop. He looked up at Emilie with his big green eyes, and yawned.

"No one knows, dear, how much I love you" His eyes closed and he gave a sigh, that indicated that he was asleep. Emilie slowly walked to his crib, set him down, and kissed him goodnight. "Good night my sunshine" She whispered.

…

They dropped everything when they heard Adrien scream.

"Mama! Dad!" He yelled in-between sobs. They stopped a few feet away from where Adrien sat, both his knee's bleeding and his bike a few feet in-front of him.

"Mama, it hurt's" He cried, tears streaming down his face. Emilie snapped into action.

"Gabe. Get the first-aid kit" Gabriel turned and rushed inside. Adrien, still crying, cuddled in closer to this mother. Emilie starts to stroke his hair, an attempt to calm him down.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine"

Like when he was a baby, Adrien's sobs turned into a sniffle at the sound of his mother's voice.

"You make me happy, when skies are grey"

Adrien smiles, revealing a gap where his front tooth should've been. Emilie gasps, and begins to look on the concrete, to see if she can find her son's tooth.

"Mama, why'd you stop singing. It was getting to the good part" Adrien asked, oblivious to what was going on.

"Oh, Honey…" she whispered. Then she found it a few inched away from them. Just as the fashion designer came back with the first-aid kit.

"Adrien! Are you ok?" Gabriel asked kneeling down, to put band-aids on his son's knees.

"Yea, Mama sang to me, and it made me allllll better!" Adrien says happily.

"Gabe, Adrien knocked his tooth out" Emilie said slowly, not wanting to alarm the two of them."

"What!?" Gabriel exclaimed, then turned to Adrien. "Adrien, give me your best model smile" Adrien then stood up, struck a pose, and smiled. Gabriel gasped.

"Don't worry, I have it right here" Emilie said, showing Gabriel their son's tooth. She then turned to Adrien. "Adrien, remember what me and daddy told you about the tooth fairy?"

Adrien nodded. "Yup! You said that when I loose a tooth, she'll come in the middle of the night and leave me money for my tooth!"

Emilie smiled. "That's right!" She said, about to show Adrien what he lost, but he cut her off.

"I have a secret!" He shouted, not really caring if anyone heard "When I'm older I'm going to marry the tooth fairy! We're gonna live in her tooth castle!"

Both Emilie and Gabriel stared at their son.

"O-ok Adrien…" Emilie said, trying not to laugh. "But what if I tell you, that you already lost a tooth"

"I did?"

Emilie nods, then opens her hand to reveal the pearl-like tooth. Adrien squeals and takes it.

"Dad! Can I go to bed now? Can I? Please? Dad?"

"We'll see" Gabriel laughs "Let's go inside for now, shall we?"

… ~~~ 6 years later~~~

"Mom, please don't leave me" Adrien begs, sitting next to his mother's bedside holding her hand. "Please"

"Honey, I'm not going anywhere" She says attempting to smile but her smile fades as she breaks into a coughing fit. Adrien's eyes fill with tears. This isn't happening.

"You are my… cough…sunshine" Emilie starts, seeing that her son is upset.

"My only…sunshine" She can't do it anymore. She's to weak

"You make me happy, when skies are grey" Adrien sings looking at his mother, tears still threatening to fall.

"You'll never know, dear, how much I love you…"

We interrupt this program, with some breaking news.

"Don't be amused, it's just the news. We have some heartbreaking news. Emilie Agreste, actress of Solitude and wife of famous fashion designer Gabriel Agreste has passed away."

…

All eyes were on Adrien during Emilie's funeral. Gabriel didn't attend. After, once everyone left, he sat in front of her grave and sobbed.

"Please don't take my sunshine away"
