I used episodic plot and flashforward in my story.

This is the story of Rapunzel I am the narrator of this tale of utter craziness. Many people have told this story, but I tell the true one. Here is the true story of Rapunzel and how she found the love of her life.

Anyway, this story starts before Rapunzel was even born. The King and his Wife dreamed of a child. They prayed to God and finally got their wish. While pregnant she found some rampion also known as Rapunzel which is lettuce. She was obsessed with it. Anyway back to the story at hand, she worked her self up so much that she couldn't live without it. When her husband noticed that she was pale and ill. He asked her with worry in his voice "What ails you, dear wife?" [1] She said wistfully "if I can't eat some of that rampton" pointing to the rampion behind their house "I shall die. [2]

Not wanting his beloved wife to die he agreed to steal from that garden. You see why this was such a stupid move, this garden belonged to a powerful enchantress named Gothel. While he decided to steal I am sure all of us can think of other ways he could have gotten that Rampton. Like, offer to buy it for a hefty price or even have her grow some lettuce for his wife and pay her quite a lot of money for this service. Instead, he stole the lettuce, sealing Rapunzel's fate. Anyway when he got that lettuce, gave it to his very greedy wife.

When she got the lettuce she had to have triple the normal amount. So the next day he went into the garden to steal some more. Fear churned in his stomach because right in front of him was Gothel. Gothel was a very powerful enchantress with raven hair and dark green eyes. She didn't even raise her voice but in the coldest voice, he ever heard she said "How can you dare" with a dark glare, "descend into my garden like a thief? You shall suffer!" [3] The King said trembling in his boots "I only made up my mind out of necessity. My wife saw your rampion from the window, and felt such a strong longing she would have died if she hadn't gotten some to eat." [4] Gothel's anger softened and then got a wonderful idea.

"If the case be as you say, I will allow you to take away with you as much rampion as you will, only I make one condition, you must give me the child which your wife will bring into the world; it shall be well treated, and I will care for it like a mother." [5] The man in his terror agreed to those terms without much thought to his child. On the other hand, Gothel got the child she had always wanted. She wanted the child so much that twelve years later, she would become crazily overprotective and start down a dark path. When the baby was born, she came into the bedroom, named the child Rapunzel (thank Lord not Rampion) and took her away.

Rapunzel grew up to be the prettiest child in the world. Gothel couldn't bear the thought of losing her, so when the child was only twelve, she got locked up in a tower in another nearby kingdom. She used to be able to walk in town and eat. Now she was alone except for Gothel who would visit the girl every evening. When Gothel came up under the tower, she would say in the sweetest voice, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let your hair down to me." [6]

Rapunzel had long hair that looked like spun fine gold and was as strong as magic. When Gothel would come, she would undo her long braided hair and threw it out the window and Gothel would climb up. When she was fifteen something magical happened. She found her future husband.

The other King's son, one day was bored kand went for a walk in the forest and found the tower, He heard a song that was enacting and he just had to hear more of that melodic voice. The King's son wanted to see her and looked for a door, but couldn't find one. He learned how Gothel got up into the tower and he thought of his plan to see the owner of that wonderful voice.

He came back when the sky was becoming dark and said sweetly "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let your hair down to me." [7] The hair fell down and he climbed up. When he got up she was frightened at the sight of a complete stranger. She said "Please don't hurt me" with tears in her shimmering green eyes and absolute terror carved into her face. His heart broke at the sight of her fear. The prince had noticed that she had nothing but a few clothes and a bed and she was so scared. The King's son said squatting to her level "My name is William, I won't hurt you. What is yours beautiful?" She blushed and William's heart thumped loudly in his chest. She shyly said barely above a whisper "Rapunzel."

Rapunzel thought "Mother has to be wrong about guys being vile, horrid beasts. This one was handsome and kind." He had dark brown hair that hit his shoulders and beautiful gray eyes with a blue tint to them. Breaking her out of her thoughts, she felt a pair of warm lips on her hand and her heart thumped wildly. She had never felt such euphoria before. She asked, "How old are you?" He said "sixteen, you?" Rapunzel said "fifteen." She asked, "Why did you come?" He said, "To see the owner of the beautiful voice I heard yesterday." She grinned brightly at his compliment.

For many days he came back in the daytime to avoid Gothel. William said, "Will you court me?" Rapunzel jumped up and said "Yes." William laughed with joy and picked her up and spun her around and Rapunzel's laugh of joy filled the room. Then he set her down and he gently kissed her lips. A feeling of euphoria washed over both of them and everything suddenly felt like heaven.

When he had to leave, she said: "Please don't go!" He hugged her and whispered to her. "You can do it. You can hook your hair on the hook and swing off." Suddenly Gothel came and said, "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let your hair down to me." [8] Rapunzel panicked and said to William "Hide!" and William hid under the bed.

Then she dropped her hair down and Gothel climbed up She said: "Here is your food." Then she said with no emotion, "Where is he?" Rapunzel said "Who?" She yelled "Tell me!" and slapped Rapunzel as hard as she could. She fell to the ground holding her cheek with tears streaming down her face and William sprang out from underneath the bed and yelled with fury in his eyes "Why would you do that?". Gothel grabbed him and started to drag him to the window. William tried to get out of her grasp but she was too strong. Rapunzel screamed "No!" she grabbed Gothel and forced her out the window. Gothel screamed as she fell to her death. Hitting her all a sudden she collapsed to the floor crying realizing she had killed the woman who had raised her.

Her cries were gut-wrenching. He quickly grabbed Rapunzel and held her tight muttering sweet nothings in her ear. He rubbed her back and waited for her to run out of teats. William's heartbreaking with every tear. She looked up into his eyes and said "It was worth it. I love you and I want you forever." He wiped the tears off her face and said: "I love you too and want to be in your arms forever." Then William cupped her face and kissed her, they both poured what they were feeling into it." They fell asleep in each other's arms. In the morning they left the tower and ran off into their new lives together.

In true Romeo and Juliet fashion, William's father didn't approve of her either, simply because she was from the other kingdom and not royalty. They ran away and found lives for themselves. Rapunzel became a seamstress and Willam became a book printer. In the cliche ending, they lived Happily Ever After. The End.

I used the plot devices of flash forward and episodic plot. The flash forward was used for Gothel. I mentioned that she would be become crazy over protective of Rapunzel. The episodic plot is throught the whole story. I think it can be spilt up into different parts
