Hello and welcome to my first fanfiction. So just know that this is my first story and there might be many plot holes and word spelling. But without further ado please enjoy the prologue chapter of son of darkness and brother of light.

Prologue - 998 years ago
 3rd pov - Monster Lord's Castle

In a dimly lit room we see seven figures around a giant table that are releasing a giant amount of dark energy. On one side of the table sits a golden kitsune with nine tails, next to her is a light blue slime with a red looking jewel on her head, and at the end of the table sits a tall light green woman sitting on a flower with what looks to be vines and piranha plants surrounding her. On the other side sits a small looking girl with pink tentacles trailing down her legs, a pale white woman with six wings and only ribbon covering some of her body floating, and another tall woman but is different since she has a lower body of snake and two wings with snake for hair. At the head of the table there is a slender woman with elvish ears with purple regal looking clothes with silver hair that radiates the most dark energy out of anyone in the room.

They seem to be looking at a large map, one of which looks like a layered battle plan.

"Hmm, if we were to put some of our forces on the east side of plantsect village where we can draw them to the heart of the forest and from there they will be easy prey for me to devour." said the woman on the plant.

"You wish it was that easy Kanon but do remember what happened last time we tried that?" the golden fox replied with an eyebrow raised.

"Nothing happened, we just killed most of them and lost some monsters. No biggie really." Kanon says with a shrug, " Besides, the only reason we lost them was due to Lucifina."

Everyone just looked at Kanon with a look that just said 'really?' "Anyways we shou- ARGHH!" The woman at the head table said before clutching her stomach in pain.

"ALIPHEESE!" all the others yelled in shock and worry running towards the woman checking to see what's wrong.

"Urgh, I'm fine just something feels off." She said steadily standing up with help of the golden kitsune.

"Are you sure you have been acting weird for the past two months? In fact it's almost like…" She said trailing off.

She lowers one of her hands to Alipheese's stomach and concentrates her energy towards it as if looking for something. The others looked on in confusion wondering what it was.

"What is it Tamamo?" Alipheese asked slightly worried but more confused than ever, had she been acting weird it certainly didn't seem like she was.

Tamamo looks up with a slight smile on her face, erasing the others worries but leaving them confused as to why she is smiling.

"Well Alipheese if you must know it's becauseee" stretching the e leaving the others leaning in curios.

"HURRY UP AND SAY IT ALREADY!" Alipheese said slightly agitated towards the kitsune playful actions.

"Alright alright, geez don't have to yell. Well the reason is, IT'S BECAUSE YOUR PREGNANT AGAIN!"

Timeskip one hour

Alipheese pov in her room

To say we were shocked was an understatement. While true she did have a daughter already; she wasn't expecting to have another one 13 years later especially since she has kept her instincts to a minimum so seeing that she barely keeps going out to get any 'energy' instead just ignoring seeing that she has plenty of power to just ignore it and also due to a war going on. I was pacing around the room when there was a knock on the door

"Who is it?" She asked, sitting on one of the chairs in her room.

"It's me mom." came a little voice with both the hint of curiosity and wonder in her voice and I knew it was my daughter Alice.

"Come in Alice." As soon as she said those words there was a purple blur speeding towards her tackling in a hug.( A/N. I know in the wiki it says that Alice two was created but for the sake of this story let's roll with it. Also in there it says she was created before the ancestors but were throwing that out too, but the ancestors have not changed so they are still created by Alipheese like originally). Alice was a slightly tall monster maybe no bigger than 4 9'. She leaned more on the side of a lamia with her black and reddish tail. She has pure light purple hair and has light blue eyes that remind her of the clear sky.

"What is it Alice? Is there a problem?" I ask before realizing she is staring at my stomach with a curious look then with a smile coming across her face.

"Is it true? Do I have a sibling on the way?" she asked with excitement of having a sibling.

"Yes you do. You have a baby sibl- Wait." She says as a thought comes to her.

{Tamamo, can you come here real quick? I need you to confirm something.} She calls through a telepathic link that she and the Ancestors have.

{On my Alipheese.} Tamamo responds and not a couple seconds later the door opens and Tamamo walks in then kneels in front of Alipheese.

"Rise Tamamo you know by now that when it's just us there is no need to do that. Now for the reason you're here is because my daughter said something that I forgot to ask before I left after the meeting due to my shock of having another offspring but I need to know. Am I having a daughter or son?" I ask shifting slightly so that I'm closer to her.

"Hmm, let me see." Tamamo says as she gets close and concentrates her energy into my stomach to check. After she is done she stands up and looks up at me with a smile and says "It's a boy".

Timeskip 8 months

3rd Heaven - War council

In a very bright lighted room with tons of divine energy in it. There seems to be a very big discussion going on around a big round table. On the left side there is a small angel flying who probably has to fly to be seen. The one next to her is a pale white knight that has two sets of wings and on there is a right sign that says chief. On the bottom side of the table there is an angel with huge wings with a single halo above her head and next to her head there is another angel but she is wrapped in a robe with four wings and a halo above her head. On the right side we seem to be looking at sisters. The sister on the left, who seems to be the older of the two, has longer hair and a green ribbon covering her body and what looks like a golden necklace with a red jewel in the middle, but on the other hand the other sister has a white ribbon but only covers some her leg with a golden looking wheel around her. At the front of the table there was an angel that had two wings, a blue bracelet, a yellowish gown, but out of everyone in the room she released the most divine energy in the room.

"Enough." the woman at the head of the said which quickly quieted down the room and everyone sat down. "Now that we are done bickering with each other Micaela can you explain the situation again since apparently we seem to have forgotten."

"Right Ilias." The angel with the green ribbon now known as Micaela says before taking a deep breath and standing up "As you know the Monster Lord and her troops have been suspiciously quiet and from the looks of things most of her troops are holding down areas that they have during this war like plantsect village but not making a move. Also none of the ancestors have made a move either which by now at least one or two of them would and that leads us to believe that they are up to something now we just have to figure out what." she says breathing out and then taking deep breaths while her sister is just patting her back.

"Exactly, now while this may be a plot to lower our guard I agree to what Micaele said and should be wary about what they may be up to. So, any suggestions?" Ilias said looking around and surprisingly it was Lucifina that raised her hand.

"Why don't I go to the castle and try and find out what they are doing." She says as she looks at everyone then noticing that her sister is about to retort. Probably because it almost killed me last time I went. "Relax sis I got this and besides I am the quickest angel there is and i'm also the sneakiest so I can be in there in and out without them even noticing."

After that Micaela sat back down and everyone else silently agreed to Lucifina's plan.

"Alright since everyone seems to be in agreement Lucifina you will go down to the Monster Lord's and make sure not to cause enough chaos and get caught. You will find out what the Monster Lord's plans are and report back understood?" Ilias said towards her before she nodded her head "And as for the rest of you make sure that the troops don't have their guards lowered so we don't get caught by surprise." And with that the meeting was over.

Timeskip 12 hours later

Lucifina pov in the castle

Getting in the castle was way too hard, almost like they were guarding something. There were many guards but not any guards that could've been a threat to me. Now here I am in a hallway looking around searching for whatever plans or plot that The Monster Lord might have. Definitely didn't want to run into her again the last time she nearly killed me and I barely made it out alive.

'Ugh this getting annoying now where those fucking plans dammit!' I was getting frustrated and my battle lust was starting to leak out so I quickly calmed down then kept searching.

After about another whole hour of running around knocking out a couple of monsters I ran across I was just about to give up until I heard "AGHHH!"

I snapped my head towards the noise and noticed that a group of monsters were crowding the door. The other monsters that were mainly imps or lower slimes gathered around. I went around and looked for another way to look at what was happening in the room and found a tiny hole in a hidden little spot 'Well that's convenient' I think before watching for what's happening.

3rd pov

Inside the room there were all six Ancestors around Alipheese who looked to be in pain gripping tightly on one of Kanon's vines and Alice's hand which was slowly going purple from the grip. "AGHHH!" Alipheese is screaming at the top of her lungs and trying her hardest not to move.

"Almost there, just one final push. Ready? Three. Two. One. PUSH!" Tamamo says and with one more push a body of a baby comes into view bloody though but nothing a little magic can't fix. "Saja, can you hand me that blanket? Thanks." nodding towards the snake haired woman before wrapping the baby up and handing it to Tamamo.

"Waaagh waaagh" The baby just cried and cried until Tamamo handed him to Alipheese where he stopped and started relaxing in her arms.

"Aghh… you just wanted to be held by me didn't you?" Alipheese said, rocking him while the others just watched with a smile on their faces.

Lucifina who was watching was torn now. She was between the lines of 'Such a cute baby' or 'What is Ilias going to say once I tell her?'

Alice walks over to her mother's side while looking at her baby brother and after opening his eyes everyone seemed to notice something about them, there was a star shape on the very edge of his pupils on both eyes that seem to be glowing light pink and aside from that there was something else with his eyes aside from the star was they seem to switch from a deep purple color to a shiny golden color.

"What shall his name be Alipheese?" "His name shall be Ryan." She said as the baby cooed and snuggled up closer to Alipheese.

Lucifina pov

Now watching a baby be born is a beautiful thing. But when it's the child of the enemy, one of which rivaled Ilias well, that threw my brain for a loop.

'Well now what? I was told to find battle strategies or plans, not a baby.' I pondered although I most have hit something because that stupid slime turn her head in my direction.

"What is it Kanade? Is there something wrong?" I hear that stupid snake haired two winged lamia say.

"Hmmm…" she said, making her way to the hole while it was slowly backing up making sure not to get caught. And Kanade being the slime she is, can slip through the hole and see into the place I was hiding, but with luck on my side since it was pitch black in the spot she wasn't able to see me.

"Nothing thought I heard something" she said before turning back around and turning back to Alipheese and the baby. 'Yeah time head back' and with that I quickly leave the castle and make my way back to heaven

Timeskip 2 year

Alipheese pov

It has been two years since Ryan was born and in that year I have come to a conclusion. This war must end. The power that I and Ilias have to continue clashing would destroy everything and unfortunately it means Ilias found out and unlike me she was ready to destroy the world to kill me and all monsters.

Flashback 1 week ago

Alipheese throne room

I'm sitting on my throne waiting for a new report from one of the ancestors besides Tamamo who is watching Ryan, when a servant succubus runs in.

"Lord Alipheese!" runs in a servant before kneeling.

"Yes, what is it?" I say watching her and noticing she has some type of white orb in her hand "What is that orb?"

"T-This orb was delivered by an angel messenger. She said this was a direct message from Ilias to you." she says while walking towards me and giving it to me. My eyes widened then narrowed

"Alright. Thank you. You may leave." Now concentrated on the orb I send some of my energy into the orb causing it to glow. 'Ahh… I see so she had it to where it would only react to my power.'

After the glow stopped there seemed to be a life size version of Ilias standing there with a smug smile ' Fucking bitch' I thought before her message started.

"Hello Alipheese, how's it going? So this war has been going on long enough. Why don't we come to an agreement or would you like the world to be destroyed? I'm sure you know by now that if we were to keep clashing the world would be destroyed and so would everything on I'm going to give you an option that ends this war. Seal you and your six ancestors along with the Lilith sisters. In exchange the angels and I won't interfere with the life on the planet that includes your monsters" saying the last part with disgust before continuing "Anyways those are my conditions I will give two weeks to decide. Remember if you decide not to nine times out of ten the world will die. Goodbye now and I hope you choose wisely." Then the orb broke apart.

Now I'm sitting here furious, my energy shaking the entire castle before taking a deep breath and walking towards Tamamo's room to get Ryan hoping to cool off.

Flashback end

Alipheese pov

'AGHH! What am I supposed to do! On one hand could easily defeat most of Ilias's army but there is a huge risk seeing as we might end up destroying the world and killing everyone, but on the other side of things if we seal ourselves we risk the fact that Ilias might not keep her end of the deal and go on a genocide to our kind. What do I -' I thought before a sound caught my attention.

"Hmm… mama mama" says Ryan as he is waking up from his nap and walking although unsteadily.

Even though he is still a baby he is very more advanced than most babies seeing as he is only two and can say some of the Ancestors names too… to some extent. For instance he calls Tamamo 'Tami' or Saja ' Aja'. It was very cute even though the others and I teased them, but cute nonetheless. I pick Ryan up and we head towards the meeting room. It's time for others to learn of this ordeal and see what they have to say.

Timeskip 30 mins

Alipheese pov - meeting room

As I'm sitting at the head of the table with Ryan in a little chair to the left of me. One by one the Ancestors start to arrive. First is Tamamo who comes close to Ryan and lets one of her tails to caress him to which he takes and starts to use as a blanket and sits to the left side of him. Then Kanon who just waves at Ryan who does a little wave back under Tamamo's tail, then Saja slithers in and just nods and sits down on the right hand side of me. Kanade opens the door then makes a chair of slime and sits down and makes little slime fish for Ryan to play with, while Hiruko skips in humming then gives Ryan a goofy looking face which makes him giggle softly before she sits down in a seat. Then finally Minagi who is smiling happily walks in before setting her eyes on Ryan who is still playing with the fishes and Tamamo's tail. She walks over and kisses him on the head then walks and sits at the end of the table.

"So Alipheese, why did you call this meeting?" Hiruko said, although it looked as if she wasn't paying attention.

"I called this meeting because a situation has arised and I'm afraid that if we keep putting it off it will cause major problems." said Alipheese grimly, which attracts the attention of everyone because of her tone and how it sounds like something extremely serious. "As you know me and Ilias represent darkness and light. The problem with that is if we were to keep clashing it would cause the world to collapse in on itself. So now we have two options. We can either continue this war and hope to finish it fast or…" she trailed off darkley.

" Or what?" asks Kanon nervously, hoping the other option was good. "Or we Seal ourselves.".

3rd pov still the meeting room

Silence that was all there was, well not total silence since Ryan was still playing with the slime fishes giggling happily. Then there was chaos. Yelling could be heard from outside the castle and that wasn't all, most of the Ancestors were flaring their aura making all of hellgondo on edge since they could tell they were pissed and should not be approached right now.

"WHY DO WE HAVE TO SEAL OURSELVES!" Kanon screamed " WE COULD EASILY DESTROY ILIAS'S ARMY! SO WHY DO WE HAVE TO SEAL OURSELVES"

Similar arguments were happening and why'll that was happening Tamamo was trying her best to keep Ryan from crying from the noise, but it looks like Alipheese was about to snap.

"ENOUGH!" Alipheese yelled, flaring her aura causing the others to calm down. " Look, I don't want to do this as much as you . We don't really have any options other than that unless you have a way to end this war quickly before the world collapses in on itself." She said, sighing afterwards." "Now while yes this option isn't the one in our favor, it's still the best for future generations to thrive, even if we aren't here."

"And what's to say Ilias won't take advantage of this." Saja asked, knowing what could happen.

"Unfortunately it's a risk that we have to take and while I know Ilias would take advantage of this I have a failsafe for for now I need to know, are you on board with this plan or not."

Another silent moment. Surprisingly it was Minagi that spoke up first. "While not the best circumstances it would be best since Ilias seems to hate my kind the most. So if me and the Lilith sisters have to seal ourselves to let them flourish then so be it" she said leaving everyone kind of shocked hearing that come from her.

After that everyone agreed that sealing themselves was the best plan even though Kanon took more convincing but eventually gave up and agreed. "Tamamo and Minagi, I need to speak with you in my room." I say before taking Ryan then leaving

Tamamo pov

'I wonder what Alipheese needs to speak to us about.' I think while I'm walking up to her room.

"TAMAMO~ wait up." A singsong voice called from behind me and turned around to see Minagi.

"Hello Minagi I thought you would've been farther ahead of me by now or did you get a quick 'meal'?" I ask, pointing at the white liquid at the edge of her mouth.

"Why yes I did. It was quite delicious." She says while licking it up before continuing "So do you know why she needs us?"

"Well if I had to guess it might have something to do with the seal." I knock on the door, "Come in" we hear as we walk in the door to see Alipheese on her bed holding Ryan in her hands.

"We're here Alipheese. What do you need from us since you needed us specifically?" Minagi asked, taking Ryan from her and hugging him close to her body.

"Well the thing is you two are the best with magic so, one I need to have a plan for the seal, but the main reason you're here is that I need your help. For Ryan that is." She ends sadly while looking at Ryan struggling to get out of Minagi's grasp.

"What do you mean? Why would Ryan need help?" I say grabbing Ryan out of Minagi's hands and giving him back to Alipheese.

"The thing is that when we seal ourselves there is a high chance that when we do Ilias will notice Ryan and with two fully blood children of mine roaming around she may attack one of them most likely Ryan I in order to spite me." looking at Ryan sadly before continuing on. "So in order to make sure this doesn't happen I wanna try something."

"Try what?" Minagi and I speak at the same time. She breathes in deeply then exhales before saying "I want to take Ryan and put him in a different place, a different dimension."

Silence for about 10 seconds. "Alipheese are you sure? If this were to work there is a chance that he would never be able to come back and never know of his home, his family." I say knowing the consequences and that Ryan may never see his own family.

"Yes, but I know that he will return and that Ilias will be the most likely reason why. That is why I want him to have a guardian. Someone who will protect him should his life be in danger and train him if there comes a time where his powers are needed to help him ." She said while rocking Ryan to sleep then setting him on a pillow and covering him with a blanket.

"Alright Alipheese, we will start preparations immediately. I just hope this goes well." Minagi said and with that we leave to go and start preparations.

Timeskip 6 days

Alipheese pov

It's the day before me and the Ancestors have to seal ourselves and the preparations for Ryan to be transported to a different dimension. We found a bodyguard for Ryan too, an eight tailed kitsune named Yaska. She is very skilled in the arts combat,magic,assassinations, tactics, and seduction. She is Tamamo's right hand fox. She accepted when Tamamo told her what was going to happen and was fine with it even with the risk of not possibly returning. Now here we are in the practice grounds since the teleportation to a different dimension needs a wide area but can only be performed once since there is likelihood that Ilias would begin to notice and the whole point of this for her not to notice. All the Ancestors are here along with Alice, then there is Toa holding a bag which I gave her holding items that I think will be important for Ryan and her. All that's left is to use some of my energy to the portal and they will be on their way.

Everyone is here with a sad look on there face knowing this is the last time before they might see each other again since Alice will be here to rule as next Monster Lord, me and the Ancestors will seal ourselves, and Ryan and Toa while be in a different dimension with a slim chance of coming back.

"Alright everyone as we all know Ryan and Yasaka will be leaving soon to a different dimension far from Ilias. So this might be our final chance to see them. Is there anything anyone would like to say or do before they are gone?" I said, looking around before the Ancestors all walked towards Yasaka who was holding Ryan then nodding at each other before starting to glow.

With that an orb came out of each Ancestor before going into Ryan, a golden orb from Tamamo, a white orb from Minagi, a light blue orb from Kanade, a green orb from Kanon, a light brown orb from Hirkuko and finally a light purple Saja.

The only time this happened was when I first created the Ancestors and I immediately knew what they were doing. They were giving them their power or to be accurate a portion of their power which would then grow inside Ryan to the level of power they have. They then proceed to kiss Ryan on the head before walking back over to me. Alice slithered over to her brother and kissed him on the cheek before whispering a couple of words to him before coming over to me and silently crying into my shirt while I hugged her back knowing what she was feeling. I activated my magic which opened a gate in front of them and before they went through I walked towards Ryan and Yaska.

"Yasaka, remember your mission. It's to protect and if a situation comes to pass, train him to use his powers. Understand?" I say as she nods.

I then turn towards Ryan as he reaches out for me. I picked him up then hugged him while telling him "Remember Ryan just because I'm not there physically to watch you grow, I know that when you grow up you will be someone that people will look up to. I love you Ryan, always remember that." I tell him before kissing his head while I'm crying slightly before putting him to sleep then handing him back to Yasaka.

"Go" I tell her and Yasaka and Ryan go through the portal hopefully out of Ilias's clutches. What I didn't know was that he would return and become a great hero.

And there you go the first chapter for this story. Now something I would like to address is that when making this story I already have the story in mind. I plan on keeping it in the original canon, only changing it based on how I think the characters will react to Ryan and relationships to him.
