Author's Note:

This is an alternate universe of Lex where he has employed the likes of Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley), The Rogues, Vixen, Roxy Rocket, Batwoman, and more, and has built them up to be a formidable force (Roxy and Vixen are almost as strong as Superman here). He also has an adopted daughter in Cassandra Cain, and other wards in Jinx and Raven, and has magical help from the likes of Circe and Rebecca Cairstairs, and thus has powerful wards meant to protect him and aid him and his people in battle.

Nick Fury, head of S.H.I.E.L.D. looks on in awe and confusion as the Chitauri invade not just his planet, but his city as well, with the God of Thunder, Thor's brother Loki at the helm. But...it's not these aliens that are catching his eye, no, it's the people fighting them. Scattered throughout New York, battling these Chitauri are...a strange ensemble of defenders, teenage girls with otherworldly powers, adult women who are just as spectacular, and two men, fire and ice going back to back as they gun down the Chitauri with what looks to be incredibly advanced technology.

Even more incredible is the man sitting in his office, in his chair, at his desk, grinning in his direction, smugly. Lex Luthor, billionaire-scientist-philanthropist, sits before him, with his bodyguard Mercy Graves at his side. Standing next to Nick is his trusted second in command, Maria Hill, but somehow they don't seem to be even, should this come to blows.

"Luthor." He spits out with a cold and biting tone, clearly not appreciating Lex's demeanor nor his showmanship.

"Fury, glad you could join us." The well-dressed billionaire responds in a rather jovial tones. Fury can only narrow his eye as Luthor being involved is never good news, for various reasons. Not only is he greedy and someone who only looks out for his best interests, but he's also sort of the cavalry. If he and his people have shown there face, then the problem just might be dire.

"What's the meaning of this Luthor? Are those your people out there?" The one-eyed man asks, curious, relieved, and enraged all in the same moment. Lex Luthor does not budge however or acknowledge his feelings in the slightest.

"They are." Luthor affirms with a nod. Fury glowers, just holding back a sneer from showing on his face.

"Teenage girls?"

"Raven, Jinx, and Cassandra, my daughter. Worry not, for they can handle a lot more than what these...aliens can offer." Luthor replies, sneering at the word 'aliens'. Fury is skeptical, but sure enough when he looks out the window, he sees the black-haired girl taking out the ground troops by the dozen, moving in a blur of speed, quickness, finesse, and skill that would make Nat jealous. Beside her are two...floating girls, one with pink hair and one with purple. They seem to be focusing their efforts on the flying...space...whales? And taking them down before they could damage any more buildings.

"The men? With the fire and the ice guns?" The head of S.H.I.E.L.D. inquires again. There were so many mysteries...

"Ah, Leonard and Mick. Quite a team those two are. Don't worry about them, I've never met a better two-man squad in my life. They can definitely handle things."

True to Luthor's words, the two men were standing back to back, taking on ground troops, flyers, and space whales alike with their powerful guns. No alien even got in range to attack them, before beams of cold and heat cut right through them. The two men moved in sync perfectly with no wasted movement. They were like a two-headed, four-armed demon on the battlefield, untouched and focus. Nick Fury keeps note of them in case they're willing to change employers.

"The other women? The one with the plants, and-"

"Pamela, Katherine, Rose, and Mari. Yes, they too can handle themselves. They are intelligent women, Fury, and battle hardened." But how much does that help in this situation? Fury wonders. It turns out...a lot. Those women have also split themselves, easily taking out the ground troops and flyers, while the dark-skinned woman seems to move with incredible power and speed that allows her to tear through the space whales like butter. The green skinned woman with the plants helps, but it's not quite as amazing, not to take away from the absurdity of her building-sized plants.

"How...?" Is all Fury can say next. It's clear S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't needed here and that the planet will be safe. The question is...where did Lex get all of these incredible women?

"Well Pamela is tapping into the Green-"

"Excuse me?"

"Mari is utilizing custom-made animals, courtesy of Dr. Moon-"

"Animals? What do-"

"Yes, strength of a Blue Whale in something as small as a Dung Beetle. Imagine the proportional strength. And the speed of a Mantis Shrimp? 100,000 m/s of acceleration. The combination is beyond deadly." Fury furrows his brow.

"OK, but that doesn't explain the-"

"And of course, Katherine and Rose are simply trained by the best." Fury exhales in frustration. It seems that Luthor simply wanted to brag. Mercy Graves seemed to be enjoying herself, standing there with a smirk of her own. Surprisingly, she speaks her first words of their encounter and...they're not what Fury expects.

"Sir, don't forget Roxy." Luthor shakes his head at that.

"Ah, Roxy. Can't do with her, can't do without her." Fury can't help but to take the bait.

"Roxy?"

BOOM! A huge explosion rings out that shakes everything in the city, but the Lexcorp building. Luthor exhales, shaking his head and Mercy's grin widens.

"That, is Roxy."
