Author Note: This story is a continuation of my story "The Monster High Hunt", and you should check that out first as it serves as an introduction and has relevant information you'd need to know in order to understand what's happening and what has transpired.
Chapter 1: New Beginnings
Wisconsin
Vlad Masters, the millionaire mayor of Amity Park was currently in his Wisconsin home mansion. He was taking a short break from his duties as mayor and left his secretary in charge for the time being.
Underneath's Vlad's mansion was his secret lab. The man himself was currently looking over the various readings shown on the holographic projected images in the center of his lab. The images shown consisted of DNA strands of each monster sample collected by Skulker.
Over on one of the many work tables was the same case that contained the monster samples.
"Log Entry 3: A week of non-stop research and I've finished analyzing each of the samples brought to me by Skulker." Vlad made his way over to the case and looked at each sample. "Many of the samples are from monsters who's abilities I found lack luster or incapable of perfect synthesis at the moment but those who's abilities are invaluable so far are DNA of a Gorgon, Werewolf, and a Vampire."
Vlad closed the case and stored it away. "While this is a wonderful start, I'll need more. But attaining new samples will require a more… hands on approach. And I know the perfect way to achieve this. End Log."
Putting away his recorder, Vlad made his way up into his mansion, passing through the lifeless halls which seem to have no effect on him, or so he let himself believe. Reaching his home office, he took a seat in his chair behind his desk and opened up his laptop. After typing in a series of keys, he found what he was looking for, the Monster Web.
Vlad knew of it's existence but it held little interest to him until several months ago, when the information of a school for monsters surfaced.
"Ah, here we are, Monster High." Vlad looked over the schools website and saw exactly what he was looking for. "In need of teachers/staff to help manage the growing student body…" He read aloud. "Well it just so happens I know the perfect monster for the job."
Vlad began writing his resume and a sinister grin crept across his face as he typed away. It was the start of a new beginning.
Monster High
The sound of the school bell rang, signifying the end class. The students rushed out of their respective classrooms and too their lockers.
Among them was, Draculaura, daughter of the schools headmaster, Dracula. She had black hair with pink highlights that was tied into two separate ponytails that reached down her back, her eyes were pink and so was her skin color, and she had a small heart tattoo on her upper left cheek. Her wardrobe consisted of a pink top decorated with black spots with no sleeves, a pink skirt decorated with black leggings underneath, and pink and black heels.
"Hey, Draculaura!" a friendly voice called out from behind her.
Taking a look behind her, Draculaura saw one of best friends, Frankie Stein, daughter of Frankenstein. She had black and white straight hair that reached down to her back, her left eye was green while the other was blue, and her skin was a light shade of green. Her wardrobe consisted of a short sleeve white undershirt with a blue top that had the letter F on it, and a black tie in the shape of a lightning bolt. She also wore multi colored skirt with a belt, and black boots with yellow laces.
"Hi, Frankie!" She greeted.
"Did your hear the big news?" Frankie asked
"Yup." She nodded. "Though all my father has been saying is that there is going to be a big changes at Monster High but he never told me what it was. It's been bothering me for the last two days."
"Tell me about." Frankie agreed. "I wonder…"
Their conversation was cut short when the sound of the headmaster's voice could be heard over the school's loudspeaker. "Would madam co presidents Draculaura and Frankie, please report to the headmaster's office."
"Guess we're going to find out what's going on." Draculaura said. "Come on."
The two made their way to the headmaster's office and wasted no time heading inside. There they found Dracula looking over something on his computer. Dracula was adult male of average height and build, he had slick back black and white hair, his eye and skin color were pink and his ears were slightly pointed. His wardrobe consisted of glasses, a long sleeve white undershirt with a dark red vest, brown pants, with black and pink dress shoes.
"Ah, Draculaura, Frankie, please sit." Dracula gestured them too the two empty chairs in front of his desk.
"So, dad." Draculaura began. "Is this about the big news you kept talking about?"
"It sure is!" He replied.
Both girls smiled, they were finally going to know what's the big secret, and by the smile on Dracula's face, they could tell it was going to be good.
"I'm sure you've girls noticed the rise in students recently?" Dracula asked.
The girls nodded. Monster High began with a small number of students but currently, the school was packed and almost every dorm room was full.
"Well, we've been receiving many resumes for teacher and other staff positions recently but two days ago, one of the potential applicants also offered the school a generously large amount of funding!" He explained.
"Really!? That's Fangtastic!" Draculaura shouted.
"How much are we talking, Mr D?" Frankie asked.
"More then enough to build an entire separate building for more dorm rooms, a gym, an indoor swimming pool, and more!" He replied.
"Wow! The other ghouls are going to flip when they hear this." Frankie said. "Especially, Lagoona, I'm sure she'll love to know were getting a pool."
"She has been acting a bit different since last week." Draculaura pointed out. They didn't know what was wrong, but Lagoona seemed to be focused on something and it was making her act a bit differently then her usual self.
"So, Mr. D, who is the monster that's applying for a teacher position?" Frankie definitely wanted to know who was willing to help out their school.
"His name is, Vlad Plasmius." Dracula typed at his computer before turning the screen around so the girls could see.
The image showed Vlad was the average height and build of an adult male. His black hair was slicked up on both sides, his eyes were all red, and his skin was a dark blue. He wore a white outfit with black gives and boots, a belt, and a long cap. The smile he had in the photo showed off his fangs, almost making Draculaura think he was a Vampire but looking over his bio, it seems he was a ghost.
"Wow!" Frankie looked at his resume. "He's got extensive knowledge on ghosts and the Ghost Zone, along with expertise in technology and other fields of science."
"Which is why he was applying for our ghost studies professor." Dracula began. "After the indecent over a week ago with, Skulker, I thought it would be best to know more about them, and Vlad seems like the perfect monster for the job."
Draculaura and Frankie couldn't agree more, while they didn't know him yet, they knew he'd be a perfect addition to Monster High.
"I'm sure, we're all in agreement then, you ghouls run along, while I'll send an email to Vlad, letting him know he's got the job." Dracula turned his computer monitor back to him.
Draculaura and Frankie left his office with smiles, making a b line straight to reach for their friends. "I can't wait to tell the other, ghouls!" Draculaura squealed.
"This is Voltagous news." Frankie's blots started to static in excitement. "Professor Vlad could help give us more incite on ghosts, and help me work on upgrade the Fenton Thermos Danny gave us."
"You have been working on those things ever since you got them." Draculaura pointed out, making Frankie blush in embarrassment.
"I'm just so fascinated by the technology." She admitted. "Plus, I think I can make it more effective."
While the two were making their way through the school to find their friends, one of them in particular was outside, sitting at one of the outdoor tables alone. Lagoona Blue, was a sea monster, she had the appearance a teenage girl with a athletic build. She had blonde hair with blue highlights, blue eyes, blue skin, and freckles. She wore a purple sweater with the number 13 on it, a white and blue undershirt, and shorts that were short enough to show off her legs, and blue shoes. Her most noticeable feature was the fins on her arms and legs.
The water monster girl was looking at her I Coffin with a hint of worry. She was always an outgoing ghoul who was ready for anything, told it like it was, but also could relax. However, she didn't know why she felt this way but it all started a bit over a week ago she the Ghoul Squad met Danny, and no matter what she did, she couldn't get the ghost boy out of her mind. He was cute, strong, brave, and seemed like an all around good guy.
She wanted to call and talk to him but something was keeping her from doing it. She knew Danny was a hero so he might not pick up but that wasn't all, what if he already had a girl friend or someone he liked? Was she thinking to much or not enough? With a sigh, Lagoona dropped her head on the table, feeling depressed.
"Hay, Legoona!" A familiar voice called out.
Raising her head, Lagoona saw one of her best friends Cleo de Nile. Cleo was the tallest member of the Ghoul Squad, she had long brown straight hair with golden highlights, light blue eyes, and a tan skin color. She wore a sleeveless teal top with small yellow pyramid patterns and a belt, teal pants with a multicolored pattern, and brown heals with blow cloth straps. Her most noticeable features were the gold bracelet around her wrist and gold necklace, along with the bandages wrapped around her arm and leg.
"Good da, Cleo." Lagoona greeted, though if one listened carefully you could hint of sandness.
"Still thinking about Danny?" Cleo said casually while typing away at her phone.
"Yeah… I mean no!, I…" Lagoona began fumbling with her words. "Wait, how did you know I was thinking about, Danny?"
Cleo rolled her eyes. "Come on, Lagoona, the other ghouls may not have connected the dots but I pay attention to these things."
Lagoon looked at Cleo with a look of uncertainty, causing the mummy girl to sigh. "Ok, while you were deep in thought looking at you I Coffin this past week, I've stole a few glances and notice you had his number up all the time like you were going to call him."
That was more of what Lagoona expected. "So, do you like him?" Cleo asked, eyes now directly on Lagoona.
"I don't know… maybe." Lagoona said unconvincingly. "Ok, yes, I like him." She admitted.
"So why haven't you called him?" Cleo asked the obvious question.
"I don't know, mate." Lagoona sighed before continuing. "I guess I'm just afraid he might not like me back or he might already have a girlfriend."
"And how would you know, if you don't call him and find out?" Cleo once again asked the obvious.
Lagoona knew Cleo was right, she wouldn't know unless she tried, and sitting around worrying about tattyy576y kk7787at if isn't going to help.
Cleo noticed her friend still seemed a bit down and suddenly remembered something. "If your still in a slump, I've got some good news from Draculaura and Frankie who I met inside before coming to find you."
"What good news?" Lagoona asked, giving Cleo her full attention.
"I'm sure you notice the school has gotten pact recently." She said with a hint of discomfort, and Lagoona understood why and nodded, Monster High was getting a bit crowded "Well apparently, one of the new teachers that will be teaching ghost studies is giving Monster High a large amount of money."
This surprised Lagoona. "Really!?" She asked.
"You, and they said it would be more than enough to build extra buildings for more dorm rooms, and more, including a pool." Cleo made sure to emphasize that last part.
Lagoona's light up at the word pool. "Crikey! That's sounds awesome!" Lagoona had to admit, while she loved Monster High, she missed the sea. 'Maybe I can start a swim team?' She thought to herself.
Cleo smiled seeing Lagoona happy, but she wasn't the only member of the Ghoul Squad who's day was a bit down. Inside her room was the fashionista, Clawdeen Wolf, who as her name suggested was a werewolf. In her human like form she had the appearance of a teenage girl, only difference was her body was covered in brown fur and she had wolf ears. She had long wavy brown hair with purple highlights, yellow eyes, and her outfit consisted of a green top with a small sleeveless black jacket that had purple fur on top, purple pants with a black belt, and golden heels.
The future fashion designer was currently working on a special project for a certain ghost boy she made a promise too. 'I hope he likes it', her thoughts however ended up coming to the same thing over and over, and that was her feelings towards Raythe and Danny.
Taking a break, she feel back on her bed and started to think. She's known Raythe for longer and they've had a few moments but while she hasn't known Danny for that long, he's a pretty clawsome guy… 'Maybe I should talk to the other ghouls about this…'
As if on cue, a knock at Clawdeen's door snapped her from her thoughts as the voice of best friend Draculaura could be heard. "Clawdeen? You are you in here?" called out Draculaura as she started to open the door.
Clawdeen then noticed her project was out in the open. Acting quickly, she grabbed the sheet off her bed and through it over the unfinished outfit. She didn't want anyone to see it until it was ready.
"Hey, Clawdeen." Draculaura gave a small wave as she and Frankie entered the room.
"Hey ghoul friends." She greeted "what's up?"
"We've got big news…. What's that?" Frankie asked, pointing at the sheet covered object.
"Oh, that's… uh… just a project I'm working on." She quickly said. "So, what's this big news?"
Draculaura and Frankie gave each other a look, wondering why Clawdeen seemed to quickly change the subject but simply shrugged, thinking it was nothing. They proceeded to inform her on how one of the new teachers named Vlad, was going to give the school funding to help expand it.
"That's Clawesome new, ghouls!" Clawdeen howled. Like the others, she was clearly excited.
It seemed like a new beginning for Monster High, but they weren't the only teens expecting a big change.
Amity Park (Casper High)
Danny was currently sitting in the lunchroom with his two best friends, Sam Manson, a goth who's wardrobe unsurprisingly consisted of a black top, black skirt, and black boots, and Tucker Foley, a techno geek and self proclaimed ladies man. He wore a red hat, glasses, a long sleeve yellow shirt, green cargo shorts, and brown boots.
The group were currently having a serious discussion which was easy to have without issue since they were sitting at their own table due to their low social statues. "I don't know, Danny." Sam began. "You sure you want to tell your parents?"
"Honestly? Yeah." He answered. "I think it's time they knew, and I'm tired of getting shot at by my own parents."
"But why now?" She asked raising a brow. "Why erase their memories during the whole Freakshow thing?"
"That was different." He argued. "I felt that I needed to be the one who should tell them when I was ready."
Sam looked over at Tucker who was currently eating his hamburger. She glared at him before giving him a elbow to the side. "What?" He asked.
"Your not going say anything to him?" She asked.
"It's Danny's choice, Sam." He stated. "If he wants to tell his parents, we can't stop him… just like we can't stop him from letting his friend play games on that sweet I Coffin."
Danny and Sam both rolled their eyes. "Wipe your hands first." Danny said before handing Tucker his I Coffin.
Turning his attention back to Sam, Danny continued their discussion. "Look, I know your worried, Sam but it's time I do this. In the short time I spent with those girls from Monster High, it got me thinking about a few things."
Sam clinched her fist, ever since a little over a week ago, Danny's been acting a little different and she didn't like the idea of Danny hanging around other girls, especially the way he described them.
Flashback
Danny was currently in his room live chatting with Sam and Tucker, on his computer, and filled them in on what happened last week near the end of summer. "Monsters are real? That's crazy man!" Tucker stated in disbelief.
"That's what I thought to." Danny replied. "But when you think about, ghosts exist so it shouldn't be a surprise."
"You should be careful around them, Danny." Sam said. "I don't think should just up and trust them just yet."
While Danny assumed, Sam was just being overly cautious, in truth, she didn't like the idea of Danny hanging around other girls. The way he described how awesome these monster girls were worried her but she tried not to show it.
"Relax, Sam." Danny said. "These girls are cool and I highly doubt they wanted to do anything evil, they genuinely wanted to save their friends and family."
"Speaking of the monster ladies." Tucker interrupted. "How fine are we talking, Danny?"
Sam scowled. "Really, Tucker?"
Danny on the other hand started blushing. It crossed his mind a few times but he was so busy with helping them and seeing the monster world for the first time, only now did he realize how pretty those ghouls were.
"Let's just say, each one would give Pauline a run for her money." Danny stated.
Tucker let out a whistle, but Sam on the other hand had wide eyes and her fists were clenched. Now she really didn't want Danny hanging out with those girls, and the thought that each one was better looking than Pauline almost made her smash her keyboard but managed to restrain herself from doing so.
Sam had feelings for, Danny but she didn't have the courage to tell him. Despite that, she never wanted other girls hanging around him because she thought they would steal him away from her but she'd never tell him that. However, whether she liked it or not, Danny wasn't going to remain single forever.
"There's also something else I wanted to tell you guys." Danny said, getting both their attention. "I think I'm going to tell my parents the truth."
Sam and Tucker were left speechless.
Flashback End
The trio had finished there lunch and were currently walking through the halls to their next class.
"Well, if your going through with it today. Do you want us their for back up?" Sam asked.
"I think I'll be fine." He assured them. "Jazz will be with me."
"Then I guess we'll just half to wait and…" Tucker couldn't finish his sentence, as he bumped into something while focusing on Danny's I Coffin.
"Hello, losers." The arrogant smug voice of Dash Baxter, Casper High's star quarterback and bully. He had short blonde hair, blue eyes, and had an athlete build. He was always wearing his letterman jacket, blue pants, and white sneakers.
Dash was your stereotypical jock, popular, physically athletic, and all around jerk. He's been A thorn in team phantoms side for as long as they've been in the same school but he's especially mean when it comes to Danny.
"What do you want now, Dash?" Danny asked, clearly annoyed while helping Tucker up.
"I got a D on my math quiz." Dash gave an angry growl. "I think you know what that means." He slammed his fist into his other palm.
Danny gritted his teeth, this was always the case. Dash fails, he takes it out on him.
"Awe, little Fenturd getting angry, what are… huh, what's this?" Dash reached down and picked up Danny's I Coffin that feel from Tucker's hand. "Sweet, new phone."
"Give that back, Dash!" Danny shouted. "It's mine!"
"Not anymore, loser." He laughed.
As Danny tried to reach for it, Dash opened a locker and shoved Danny inside before walking away and saying. "Consider it payment, Fenton."
Before Sam or Tucker could even try to open the locker, Danny forced it open and looked down the hall to see Dash turning the corner. Danny's eyes flashed green in anger.
"Danny, just let it go." Sam said.
"No way!" He turned his head towards her. "Those ghouls gave me that as a gift and I'm not going to let Dash take what doesn't belong to him."
Danny rushed down the hall and turned the corner. He saw Dash at his locker alone and decided to turn invisible to sneak up behind him, and used his intangibility to overshadow him. As he was heading back, Danny stopped for a moment and realized he should get a little payback now that he was controlling Dash.
About a minute later, Danny approached Sam and Tucker who were about to enter their next class. "Hey guys."
"You made it just in time, did you get your I Coffin back?" Tucker asked.
"Sure did." He replied, holding it up.
Sam crossed her arms. "What happened to Dash?" She asked, raising a brow.
"I think he'll be a little late for class." Danny replied with a smug grin.
Suddenly, a screaming Dash came running by them with a group of angry girls chasing after him. "Were going to teach you lesson for spying on us in the girls locker room! Creep!" One shouted.
Danny and Tucker laughed, while Sam simply rolled her eyes. "Smooth Danny." She said sarcastically. "You know you shouldn't use your powers for things like that."
"Oh come on, Sam." Danny argued. "Dash needs to be taught a lesson, and why is it when I use my powers for a little pay back from a guy who made me eat his underwear, it's a problem but when you want me to, oh I don't know, haunt a car dealership or free some frogs, it's ok?"
"He's got a point, Sam." Tucker agreed
Sam scoffed. "Whatever, let's get to class." She turned her back to then and stomped into class.
They followed behind, but Danny really didn't like how Sam always chastised him when he used his powers for a little pay back but didn't care when it was something she wanted. As he sat down and waited for class to begin, he decided to let it go, he had something important to do when he got home.
Later that day, Danny had arrived at home. He could hear commotion in the kitchen and decided to investigate. In the kitchen were his mom and dad in their usual blue and orange jumpsuits respectively, working on what appeared to be another ghost hunting device. His sister, Jazz was also their, reading one of her many books. Jazz was Danny's older sister, she had long orange hair and blue eyes, and wore a long sleeve black shirt and blue plants, with black shoes.
"Hey, mom, dad." Danny greeted his parents. "What are you doing?"
"Hi sweetie." Maddie greeted, Jack followed suit. "Hey, Danny. Your mother and I are created a new device that will help us capture that Phantom punk and tare him apart molecule by molecule."
Both Danny and Jazz flinched. Whenever he parents talked like that it got to him, made him scared… but he wasn't about to back down. Danny looked over at Jazz and gave her a nod, which she knew meant that he was about to go through with it. She smiled and gave him a nod in understanding.
Danny took a breath. "Mom, Dad… I have something to tell you. It's important."
Both his parents stopped what they were doing and looked at their son, who had a look of worry. They gave each other a look before turning their attention back to their son.
"Sure, son." Jack said. "What's wrong, Danny?" Maddie asked.
Nothing could prepare the two ghost hunters for what their son was about to tell them.
End Chapter
Author Note: Well, it's here. This is the first chapter to the start of the sequel to my previous story "The Monster High Hunt". I'll go over a few things just in case there is some confusion for those who read this. First, this story like the first is based of Generation 2 Monster High, though I've started watching the Generation 1 movies and some future parts will have inspiration from those. Secondly, like the previous story, I have a general idea on how the story will play out but I'm always welcome to ideas on how to improve and if an idea is brought forth and used, I'll credit the user who came up with the idea. Finally, if you noticed, I gave the characters descriptions more than in the previous story and I was wondering if you guys care to read how the characters look since I know some people already know what these characters look like, but if it isn't an issue let me know. Anyway, please read and review, below I'll be replying to reviews that were posted in the final chapter of the previous story.
Reviews:
simm36: Thanks, I hope you enjoy the sequel.
The Brod Road: Thanks for the review, hopefully I'll do better with writing in this story. Meeting the parents would be interesting that's for sure, and yes, in Generation 2 the monsters just call it Normie Town but as I said in the Author not above, I'm actually going to be blending in elements and places from Generation 1 so they'll discover it's actual name. Anyway, I don't want to spoil to much. I hope you enjoy the sequel. By the way, your witty comment was great lol.
Mizugami18: You mean a pairing?, yes it will have Danny x a ghoul girl/girls. But I'm not much of a romance kind of writer but this story will focus on that as well. I hope you enjoy the sequel.
Ironchef13: Oh yes, Sam's not going to like it one bit which will be apparent as the story continues. Yup, she'll make an appearance but later, I want this story to be longer than the previous so you might not see her for a while.
Leonardo: Thanks for the review and I hope you enjoy the sequel. Sam didn't take it too well, and I'm sure conflict over Danny might be inevitable.
