"Oh, I can't seem to shake off this dreadful feeling." The King said as he wallowed about in the main room of his castle.
"Whatever you mean, my lord?" The King's noble knight stands straightly close to the entrance with his eyes following the King of his movement.
"You know, that thing, that dared to challenge my leadership, the giving to the people." the King replied as he made more hast around the room. "Stealing the wealth from the Rich just have it all for themselves."
"Ah yes, the Silver Behemoth." The Nobleman said as slightly looked down for a moment and then watched the King walk towards the three tall arched-shaped windows displaying part of the kingdom beyond being nothing but outskirts of fields. He watches the subjects going about with their lives.
"This vigilante monstrosity must be put to an end." The King said darkly as he still stared down at the small village, there was a moment of silence, the Nobleman watched the King starting to grow impatient as he let out a groan of irritation. "How long does it take to hear from our assassins that we hired to finish the job!?"
"My lord, I can go find them and request their status of finding this culprit." The Nobleman suggested.
The King finally tears away from the window to look at his Noblemen. "That's a good idea, this is the reason you are in the position, you always manage to come up with great ideas. Now, go and find them, and tell them that the King is getting impatient and remind them that they are in my kingdom. We hired you as assassins, so if they want the profit they have to do what they hired them to do."
A loud metallic clang of two swords rings through the arena as crowds cheer on the two warriors battling with sword and shield, Sam, Kris, and Ralsei are among the crowd watching the action as being surrounded by loud cheering.
"Never seen much excitement when it comes to something like this," Ralsei said, trying to speak as loud as he could from the noise along with feeling unpleasant about the whole thing, he turns to his right and sees Sam next to him and Kris right beside him.
"Yeah, this is like the sadistic side of entertainment," Sam said as he looked through the binoculars.
"Are they necessary?" Kris asked.
Sam quickly tears away from his binoculars and looks at Kris. "Of course it is, the One we are looking for is not just some human, we are dealing with something out of the norm." He replied to return to his search. "You have to look at even the finest detail of anything out of the ordinary."
"Basically like us," Kris said.
Sam lets out a sigh. "I suppose that will be accurate enough."
Kris and Ralsei continue watching the fight in the arena, soon they have witnessed one striking the other by the chest, Ralsei looked in horror as he saw blood starting to pool around the Warrior that got struck in the chest. Ralsei turns to the others and sees that Kris looked slightly disturbed by what is happening right now but Sam, doesn't seem fazed Ralsei is pretty sure that Sam is not even looking at the arena with those binoculars, but it doesn't make him wonder why the crowd cheering more intensely.
The Warrior that impaled his combatant, draws out his sword causing them to fall flat on the ground, with the winner raising both of his arms with one hand holding on to the stained sword.
"This is just too gruesome," Ralsei commented.
"Be grateful that Susie is not here to see all this," Kris added.
"Talking about a good fight." The Announcer spoke to the crowd to respond and the crowd kept cheering.
"Seeing anything out of the ordinary?" Ralsei asked.
Sam lets out a sigh in the manner of defeat as he removes himself from the Binoculars. "Nothing."
"Now, we all know what you all want to see, Monster versus Monster combat!" The Announcer said with excitement feeling the same from the crowd but can't be said the same for Ralsei, Kris, and Samuel.
"And here the champion is fighting off not just one but two. The first contestant is from a far-off land, she wears a bag on her head. "Cloth!"
As the Announcer calls out the name a large figure energetically charges into the arena, with a large curved melee weapon that could be a tusk or a horn. The crowd expressed excitement along with the new warrior.
"Never see anyone like that," Ralsei spoke.
"Neither have I," Sam said. Ralsei looks at him, from his tone of voice and the expression on his face don't make it convincing.
"Tell me, a new warrior." The Announcer said. "What brings you here?"
"For the adventure, to prove my courage as a warrior," Cloth replied.
"Well, the people of Oslukkemore are excited for what you can bring to the arena as you will be facing off with this Gladiator." The Announcer shows Cloth to the opponent she is fighting he has a grin on here as he ready his still blood-soaked sword. "But you are not fighting alone, as the next monster warrior is…"
They all face towards the large entrance and quickly a tall figure seems to be roughly seven feet tall a silhouette standing in the entrance. Sam slowly lowers his binoculars.
"This got to be the one," Sam said, both Ralsei and Kris turned to Sam.
"How sure are you?" Ralsei asked.
"Here we have the Silver Behemoth!" The Announcer calls out as the tall figure emerges from the dust and reveals to be a muscular and full body covered with snow-white fur with the top of the head is longer in length and thicker.
"Oh, that's definitely our target, what a beauty," Sam said.
"Okay, what's the plan here?" Ralsei asked.
Sam paused for a moment before he made eye contact with the Prince of Darkness. "You know I never thought that far enough." He replied, the three listening to the mix of sounds of jeering and cheering around them.
"Mixed feelings going here," Kris spoke.
"Only more to confirm this is the one we are looking for," Sam said as he put away the binoculars. "Now we need to come up with a plan?"
"We can just charge down to the arena," Kris suggested as he held up his sword.
"I don't think that will be the best idea," Sam said as he raised his hand in front of him. "We need to be more subtle about things." Kris lets his arm drop back down.
"Now, tell me, strange traveler, what brings you to the Kingdom?" The Announcer asked.
"Just something to pass the time, to put it simply." He replies as he ganders at the large crowd around them until he settles at the position where the Trio stands, he smiles lightly. "But what I do is from my heart."
"Was he looking right at us?" Ralsei asked.
"I believe so," Sam said.
"Enough talk." The Gladiator intervenes. "As we must begin in the fight to the death," He held the tip of the sword in the direction of the Silver Behemoth. "What is thy name as I will know to whom I vanquish."
The Creature grins softly following with a small chuckle. "If you must know, I'm Valiant, a name I picked for myself when I first arrived in this fascinating Kingdom."
"Too bad that this is where you are gonna die."
"I want to volunteer!" A sudden voice came from within the crowd which drew everyone's attention, it focused on one spot in the crowd to which Sam stood with his raised as high as he could with Kris and Ralsei looking at him in utter confusion. The Announcer grins and takes steps forward in the arena.
"What is your name stranger?"
"Samuel Alexander Grimshaw. But in battle, I will be known as Alexander the Great."
"Sam, what are you doing?" Ralsei asked in big concern.
"Don't worry, these are the types of things that I and the Doctor have the tendencies to do." He replied and quickly turned to Kris and held out his hand. "Give me your sword."
"What?" Kris spoke softly,
"I'm pretty sure they won't just let me in there without some kind of weapon, and you are the only one to have one," Sam explained.
"Then let me go down there myself."
"Uh.." Ralsei timidly intervened. "I don't think it would be the best idea for the both of you to go down the arena."
Sam sighs in irritation than he quickly reaches for Kris' sword from the side, and rushes down towards the arena, pumping into some of the citizens. Kris and Ralsei only look at him in astonishment with not much say to this matter.
"I hope this doesn't end up with him getting hurt," Ralsei spoke.
A thought went to Kris' head "He just went ahead with my idea." he said with the realization that their new friend is pretty hypocritical.
Sam finally manages to get into the Arena, joining along with the other fighters, A smell immediately plunged into his nostrils, Sam turns his head to the direction where the smell is coming from, just as his head shifted to his right and sees the motionless body on the ground with the pool of blood around it. Just by the sight, Sam quickly feels a twist in his stomach that if he keeps looking at it, he will throw up right from the spot to which he turns back to the ones that are alive and night mortally wounded.
Valiant stares at Sam with such curiosity and sees the peculiar behavior coming from Sam that has never seen since residing in Oslukkemore. "You seem rather youthful for a warrior."
"If you think that, you should see friends," Sam added.
Valiant grins at him, and then watches the Announcer walking towards Sam, extending his hand.
"Great to see a more youthful fighter among our Kingdom, Tell me Alexander, and to the rest of the crowd that wants to see bloodshed."
Sam takes the Announcer's hand and shakes it. "Well, it's for them." He replies as he points to Valiant, both of them look at the strange creature in return they just have the same light smile as if it's just their typical demeanor. "You see..." He leans closer to the. "We are here on the behalf of the King himself to capture the Silver Behemoth."
"We?" The Announcer said before anything can be said further, Sam watched his face quickly contort as he let out a grunt and his eyes went completely wide. Sam looks down slightly and spots a large metal blade protruding off from the Announcer's side where he quickly notices starting leaking out from it, He stares in horror as the Announcer himself staggers slightly away from Sam before falling face-first to the ground.
His surroundings have gone silent as all Sam can hear is the constant ringing in both of his ears, frozen in shock, as he witnesses a man die right next to him.
