It was a beautiful day in the Mushroom Kingdom. The sun was shining and it looked like it was going to be a nice day. At least that's what Mario hoped it would be. He looked up at the castle where Peach lived, rather nervously. He had an engagement ring in his pocket. Mario and the princess had been dating for a good while. So Mario had hoped that he would hear her say yes. Just when he collected his nerves, he heard a familiar bark. Mario looked and saw his brother coming up the street. With Luigi was Violet and Spettro. Violet was Luigi's girlfriend. She was the same age as the twins.

She had shoulder length brown hair, green eyes, wearing a long sleeved purple blouse, a snowflake necklace, white lace gloves, black jeans, and black sneakers. She could control the Aurora Nine. Mario raised a brow, what were they doing in town? Usually Luigi and Violet would stay in that house that they had bought...

Mario called out to them, "Weegie! Violet!"

Luigi saw his brother, "Malleo!"

Violet added, "Mario!"

Mario walked towards them but before he could get to them, Spettro pounced on the red clad plumber. The ghost pup started to lick his face, making Mario laugh happily.

Mario begged, "Okay, Spettro! I'm happy to see you too! Let me up boy!"

Spettro finally let him up as Luigi helped his brother up. The brothers shared a hug and then they parted from it. Mario then hugged Violet, who returned it. They parted.

Luigi greeted, "Ciao, Malleo! Guess what we got in the mail."

Mario slightly teased, "Not another free mansion, I hope."

Luigi laughed as Violet brought out the letter, "We got a letter. It's an invite to a place called the Last Resort. All expenses paid."

Mario raised a brow, "Really? When?"

Violet shrugged, "I guess whenever we answer the letter."

Luigi pointed out, "Maybe you can propose at the Last Resort, bro."

Mario thought it over. And while it didn't seem like a bad idea, they could use a vacation. Mario nodded in agreement.

He stated, "Sure, just let me tell Peach."

It wasn't until later that afternoon that the group was starting to get ready to go to the Last Resort. Peach had agreed to go with and brought along a few Toads along for the ride. Mario, a few Toads, and Luigi all helped with the princess' bags. Violet couldn't believe how much stuff the princess was taking with her.

Violet stammered, "Uh we're only going to be a gone a week, Peach."

Peach nodded, "Oh, I know. I like being prepared."

Mario managed to put Peach's bags into the bus. He then helped the Toads and his brother.

Mario slightly teased, "You should've been in the Boy Scouts!"

Peach shot him a look, teasingly. Mario smiled. The Toads, Spettro, Luigi, and Violet all got onto the bus. When it came to Peach, a shadowy figure of Kamek grabbed her. Everyone freaked out as Peach was levitated away. Mario followed it and just as Luigi and Violet were about to do the same, the bus door's closed on them. The bus driver drove off to the Last Resort.

Meanwhile, Peach had been forced to change into a wedding dress. It badly reminded her of the Chaos Heart incident. She couldn't help but wonder why Bowser wanted to marry her so bad. Especially when he remembered what happened last time. As Wendy finished the final touches, she gave Peach a tiara that was a beautiful silver color. Peach looked at it sadly as Wendy put the Pirana Plants around her wrists. Wendy got up to let her father know that his bride was ready. As Wendy left, the tiara came to life.

Tiara sniffled, "T - they got you too?"

Peach was surprised but recovered nicely, "Yeah they did..."

Tiara told her, "T - they took me away from my brother..."

Peach felt sorry for her and decided to take her mind off it. She introduced herself, "My name is Princess Peach. What's your name?"

Tiara replied, "T - Tiara."

...

Mario had finally managed to catch up with the ship. He got aboard where he saw Peach and Tiara. Bowser was also there, waiting for him.

Mario commented, "You know, the last time this happened, it didn't end well!"

Bowser chuckled evilly, "It doesn't matter cause this is where you are getting off!"

Bowser threw his hat at Mario, which turned into a saw using a robot. Mario falls off the ship, losing his hat in the propeller.

"MARIO!" Peach screamed.

As the ship flew away, a little Bonneton saw what had happened and went after the red clad hero.

Back at the Last Resort, the bus had finally arrived at the hotel. The Toads got off first, followed by Spettro, Violet, and Luigi. Luigi looked in the direction of the kingdom. He wouldn't lie but he was a bit worried. Violet placed a hand on his shoulder, gaining his attention.

She promised, "We'll get back to the kingdom. Let's just make sure that the Toads check in real quick."

Luigi nodded in agreement as they went inside of the hotel. And it was massive. The Toads were all looking around, gleefully. Spettro was having fun with one Toad, who was enjoying his company. Luigi went up to the check in desk and rang the bell.

Steward told them, "Welcome guests to The Last Resort! Are you ready to check in?"

Toad started to answer when they heard a voice speaking.

They all looked up and saw a woman up on the balcony. She greeted, "Guests! Welcome to The Last Resort!" She introduced herself, "My name is Hellen Gravely! I'm the owner of this hotel. I am absolutely delighted that you decided to accept my invitation." She went downstairs. Hellen added, "You all must be very tired. Come! Let me show you to your rooms."

One of the Toads asked, "What about our luggage?"

Hellen answered, "Oh, no need to worry about your luggage. Our exceptional staff will take them to your rooms." She pointed to Steward, whom was taking the luggage upstairs. Hellen took out her powder, which made Luigi sneeze. She added, "Please follow me to your rooms."

Luigi protested, "Thank you but we just need a room for the Toads. Violet and I really need to get to the kingdom."

Hellen pointed out, "That may be Mr. Manfredi but it is starting to get dark out there. You don't want to travel in the dark do you?"

Luigi realized that she was right and relented. Hellen took the lead and everyone got on the elevator. Before the doors closed, Hellen smirked darkly. They arrived on the fifth floor. Hellen got out first.

She instructed, pointing right, "Toads... your rooms are this way." She then pointed left and added, "Luigi and Violet... your rooms are this way."

Everyone wished each other goodnight. The Toads went to their rooms. Violet took Luigi's hand into hers. She noticed his sad look and kissed his cheek.

She told him, "Don't worry, one night here and we'll go back to the kingdom. Easy."

Luigi smiled, "Thanks Vi."

She winked, "Don't mention it."

Nothing but nothing could prepare Violet for what happened a few hours later.
