Chapter Six: Changes

In the skies near Lastastion, Black Heart is flying toward her country. Monita wearing her battle suit in her arms.

It is heavy with this load, but she can handle it. Also to make sure her cargo isn't lost.

They might not care for Monita, the battle suit is too dangerous to leave laying around. There could still be an inverter taker with that power source, ripe for the picking.

After a few minutes, she arrived at her city.

"We're here, Monita," Black Heart said softly, even if she will give no response.

Part of her hopes that the young woman is alive, but she knows how fruitless it is.

Also, happy to see her home. She gets to see it again. After Monita's attack and when she near sacrificed herself to save Planeptune.

She arrived at a funeral parlor, one that should do.

Instantly a man came out. "Lady Black Heart." The man is surprised to see the goddess here, even is she looks a bit different. He was walking around to check on things.

He did hear that Black Heart visited long ago.

Black Heart landed with a sober look. "I'm here to drop off this person. She wanted to be buried here," the goddess said softly, still holding the body.

The man nodded and turned to lead the way. "This way, what about the thing on her, Lady Black Heart?"

"I'll have it taken care of," Black Heart answered. "Once we get her to the morgue."

The man nodded and walked with the goddess in tow.

After a few minutes, Black Sister appeared by the place. She didn't know if her sister is here or not.

She heard vehicles approaching. Her head looked to see two, a car and a truck. She waited as it looked like Kei is driving the car.

After a moment, the vehicles parked. Kei rushed out of the car and frowned at Black Sister.

"We're back, Kei," Black Sister replied, unsure of what else to say.

Kei slowly walked up to the goddess and hugged her. "I don't know to slap you for being an idiot or praise you. Something happened in Planeptune, didn't it?

"From what has been said," she replied tightly, glad to have Black Sister safe.

She knows Black Heart is also safe, calling her to come here. With a team to recover an item.

Black Sister returned the hug. "I'm sorry, Kei. I know it's hard to watch us leave. Sadly, things are going to be rough. Planeptune was nearly blown to bits, with Leanbox following. We stopped it, but … lives have been lost. This will test us, I hope you'll stand by us."

Kei broke the hug. "I can't make any guarantees if you two do something crazy again."

Black Sister giggled. "I'll try, with keeping Noire out of trouble."

Kei smiled sadly. "So, Monita is dead."

Black Sister nodded sadly. "She got injured during the fight against White Heart and Black Heart. They defeated her, together."

Kei looked away. "I know she needed to be stopped, but this. I don't know what to think."

"I know, Kei," Black Sister replied. "I was ready to fight her. Stop the threat she posed. But, I didn't want to kill her. Then what she exposed unknowingly. Even if she didn't, she showed what should be addressed or let it be known what humans are to us."

Kei looked at her. "That we are more then we let on?"

Black Heart nodded. "I know that we should care for you. But, what if we don't? Noire seems that she doesn't but does. More than she lets on, this might have to awaken some old memories."

She wasn't a fool to think her sister might have witnessed things that she won't talk about.

Kei sighed. "We better go, there is work to do." She walked passed Black Sister.

A pair of people followed the oracle with a flatbed cart, they are part of a team of analysts. For it was said that a battle suit needed securing.

Black Sister turned and went into the building. The group could see the various spots. All were made for the family and friends who would come.

Black Sister couldn't give a response. Who would visit Monita, they don't know if she had any family left. Or would they come? For she became a villain.

Soon they arrived where they took care of the bodies. Entering the room to see Black Heart standing by Monita's body, out of the battle suit as it was lying in a corner. Monita is resting on the table, looking peaceful.

The group could see the goddess look like a Valkyrie leading a person to the afterlife right now.

"Noire," Black Sister called to her.

Black Heart didn't move but lowered her head. "It has been ages since I've done this. Helping with a funeral isn't a pleasant thing. So."

Black Sister walked toward her sister, who didn't move. Frozen as a statue. Gently, Black Sister hugged her sister from behind. "I'm here for you, Noire."

Black Heart grabbed a hand, squeezing it softly. "Thanks, Uni. It just … I'm lost on what to do. I want to hate Monita, it is so easy. She attacked me, put me where I could be separated from you. Nearly caused a share detonation.

"All because of … those damn idiots! Now I'm mad at Neptune, I know she can be irritating as hell. Winning over me, teasing me. For what reason? I've tried to understand it, why is Blanc kinder to me? Why was Monita too?

"How could those two show more compassion for me, than that so-called friend? I can't find the damn answer. Am I some kind of amusement to her? Something to add luster too? Because I have people who care for me? I want a damn answer." Black Heart seethe.

This event not only questioned her role as a goddess. It also questioned what she is to Neptune. She didn't show any concern after her fight against Monita. Whereas her sister, White Heart, and the White Sisters did. Maybe Nepgear.

Why did it seem Neptune was angry she won that battle, saving them and Planeptune? Sure Neptune did stop the detonation with her sister, but only because of her and White Heart's help. They recovered their inverters.

She didn't know if anyone else was helping, maybe Histoire was as she could be in the tower. But with that explosion, could she be alive?

She should be worried about the tome, but part of her is mad at her too. Is she acting as her? Just covering for Neptune, complaining about her. But is it doing nothing to solve the problem as Monita said? Because she and Nepgear could be keeping Planeptune afloat. Or could it be everyone cares for them?

No, because when the time came. It was shown they didn't, because their share was sufficient for them to power everything. But nothing like what happened to the goddesses of Lowee and Lastation. They resisted Monita's inverter takers.

Gain new processors, all because their people wanted to keep them safe. It could be their just going with the flow.

"Am I," Black Heart said with a gulp. "A friend of Neptune's? Or just a sidekick? What she said when regressed, hiding it. Hoping I don't wise up to see what a scam it is. As I've been alone all this time, because: I didn't want to be hurt from being a goddess."

Black Sister growled, was she that native? Her sister did try to be Neptune's friend. It could hard for her as she knows how Noire is.

Or she deluded herself thinking that since Nepgear is her friend, Neptune would be a good match. Sure she seems friendly enough. But could it be that's an act? As long she is the star, nothing is wrong.

"I can't give you an easy answer, Noire," Black Sister replied her tone full of emotion. "Only that, you seem more at ease with Blanc. I know how she can swear and have a temper. But, she cares deeply for her country and sisters."

Black Heart raised her head. That is true, this event was hard on them. Facing a new threat, being powerless. Fighting to make sure nothing could dispute their way of doing things.

Though it all, Blanc helped her. Even understand her to an extent. Was that why she felt at ease with the Lowee goddess?

"Maybe," Black Heart said slowly. "I need some time away from Neptune. Get my thoughts on it, and even spend a little time with Blanc. See what I want to do."

Black Sister let go and stepped back, giving a nod. "Don't worry about me, Noire. I won't hold you back from finding out, as you probably think about my friendship with Nepgear. Maybe, I wanted to push it on you so it wouldn't be odd. When it could harm you."

Black Heart smiled and turned to look at her sister. "Thanks, but right now. We have work to do. Our fight has brought so much to light. It won't be easy."

Black Sister nodded. "I know, everyone had seen what can happen to us. Do you think the people, will leave the goddess lands? Now knowing about the impurities?"

Black Heart shrugged. "No way of knowing. We'll have to wait on that and let them know, no point in trying to cover it up. Still, we better work on securing Monita's work." She looked at Kei.

She knows that Kei is here, already the group is loading up the battle suit.

Kei looked at the goddess. "Do you mean the lab, Black Heart?"

Black Heart nodded and pulled out the flash drive, Monita's, handing it over. "This is the passcode to Monita's computers. Have a team collect all her notes and data.

"Use only the most trusted on this. Because blueprints of the battle suit and those inverter takers could be there."

Kei took the drive. "I handle it myself, Black Heart."

Black Heart gasped with her sister. "Are you sure, Kei? There is no reason for you to go."

Kei frowned. "The lab is safe, as to my reason. I make the most sense, I handle information daily. This won't be new and don't you dare complain. You two already risked your lives enough."

Black Heart slowly nodded. "You win, Kei. I guess we better get looked over." She remembered her wounds, they aren't life-threatening but stung.

Kei looked at Black Sister. "You should go also, we can't have both goddesses out."

Black Sister gave a sheepish grin. "Sure."

Kei nodded but gave somber look. "What to do now? Monita is gone, but her damage is starting. If anything to go by with the evidence from Planeptune."

Black Heart sighed. "I'll take a look at those pictures. Best to see what happened to the damn idiot."

Kei raised a brow, sure Black Heart can sound rough when dealing with Purple Heart. But that sounded colder, maybe that was real.

Not to say Black Heart would lie too much, wanting to hide her feelings. Still, what caused this?

Black Heart walked off. "We better go Uni. Our injuries aren't bad but better do as Kei says. Because things aren't going to be pleasant for a while."

Black Sister nodded and followed. Leaving the group alone.

Kei looked at Monita's body. A somber look on her face. "You had to change things, Monita. I can't say if this is good or bad, only, why? Go this route? Did you know what it would entail?"

Kei didn't expect an answer from the body. Maybe she did, ready to die for what she thought needed to be done.

Expose what Green Heart and Purple Heart get away with. Or even show something dangerous growing in the shadows. From what she could find out, something knocked out the entire power system of Planeptune.

That by no means was easy, even Leanbox is dead. That can't be good news.

Kei started walking off, the battle suit on a flat cart. She needs to make sure that thing is under lock and key with the right people studying the battle suit.

She'll leave after that, time is ticking. No telling what kind of people would love to find Monita's lab, to get her secrets. The kind that could lead to more bloodshed.

White Heart is near her city, Lowee, after she checked on her forces. She needed to see how it went there.

Thankfully, no monsters or traps. So, she told them to keep it safe with the Lastation forces, even if they seem offset. Thankfully orders came from their chain of command. To only let the people cleared go in.

There are enough of them to keep watch with supplies needed.

Her sisters also follow her, making sure she doesn't do anything crazy right now.

She didn't feel like fighting it. This has been one hell of an event take place. Monita is dead, but she still did the damage. The revelation of the impurities.

Along with her own dealing with Noire. Things have changed between them. No longer can it be said they aren't more now.

Was it because they found a common enemy? Or something so simple that alluded them, they have so much in common. They care for their loved ones and their counties.

During that fight, Noire protected her. Even said that she couldn't stand having her hurt.

In turn, she helped to save Black Heart. Fighting with each other, turning into the making of a friendship. One could have happened years ago.

"Why did I get hooked up Vert?" White Heart asked quietly. "The only thing we do is mainly get after each other. Did Neptune prevent that?"

While it could be argued Neptune is the glue that binds them, is that right? She does talk to them, only when it suits her.

As Blanc didn't care about certain things, such as wanting to read and do her responsibilities.

Noire seemed to be a friend of Neptune. However, was it different? Neptune didn't show any concern for them after the fight, pouting about it ending the way it did.

While she did save her country from a share detonation. Only when they gave them their inverters back. That was so tempting to leave them as brats.

Feed them their medicine. She never liked how Neptune gets to call the shots with planning or how they are doing. Only when it is in her flavor, maybe the same with Vert. Only use them for their amusement.

WS Rom floated to be by her sister, seeing the intense look. Onee-chan, I'm glad you didn't die or get turned into a kid again.

She did want to have fun with her older sister, but not at the cost of losing her. That was too high a price. Along with seeing how she got along with Black Heart.

It is true, she likes playing with Neptune. There is no pretending to that look she had at learning what happened to Monita. It was more on the lines of a kid having their toy taken away.

Could it be that Neptune only sees this as her story? Only she is allowed to win. That brought a thought to the former candidate, could Neptune only be playing with them to show she's better?

Make where it where they only focus on her and not their sister. Blanc is hard on them but shows love for them. Could it be the same with Noire? Only use her as a means to shine.

WS Ram is above her two older sisters. Feeling the weight of today's events. Tried it all, nearly losing Blanc again. Right before her eyes, as Uni's nightmare. Thankfully, she was saved.

To think they wanted a young Blanc to play with them, how naïve were they? No, she and Rom woke up to realize how dangerous the situation was.

They needed to save her. But now, what has been unleashed by the actions of Purple Heart and Green Heart? The impurities are now known by everyone.

Would they blame Noire and Blanc for this? Saying how they let Monita get their inverters, and learn how to make her own. Attack the Planeptune and Leanbox goddesses. Saying how they wanted this to happen.

A snarl came to WS Ram's face.

No, her sister was ready to die for Leanbox and Planeptune as Noire. They could have left, and gotten away before the explosion. But, they wanted the former candidates to leave, and take over for them. All in the name of saving people.

She will stand by her sister. Because Blanc has shown to be caring. To them and her country.

The trio soon arrived at their home, seeing Mina waiting for them. She must have heard that they are coming back.

They landed by the oracle.

"We're back, Mina," White Heart said.

Mina teared up and hugged them all. Crying at having them back, safe and sound.

"I don't care how much of an earful. I get from you," Mina said, sniffing as her tears poured. "I'm grounding you all! No leaving to go off on a crazy adventure that will kill you … crazy bunch."

The trio returned the hug.

"I'll help you, Mina," WS Ram agreed. "I want to stay home for a month. No darn quests, please. I'm sick of them right now."

That got some giggles from the group. Mina broke the hug and stepped back.

Mina looked at the goddesses, winching at seeing the wounds on them. "Your hurt."

White Heart nodded. "We are, but … Monita is dead."

Mina gasped covering her mouth. "I don't know, what happened?"

White Heart looked away. "During our fight, we harmed her fatality. I did want her dead, but after what she spoke of." Her eyes got misty. "I can't say for sure now. She wanted to expose what happens behind the scenes of Leanbox and Planeptune.

"She even shows how lazy those two are. What they should be doing. I don't know if we're guilty of not doing more. Because of taking their word."

Mina shook her head. "You can't blame yourself, White Heart. We all wanted to keep this peace made. Only." She smiled sadly. "We thought nothing was wrong or wanted to believe it. Hoping to have these peaceful days.

"Your not guilty of wanting that. A place where people can live in peace. As you wanted for your sisters."

White Heart looked and smiled at her oracle. "Thanks, Mina. I need to relay on that strength now. After what has happened, we all will be tested. This now has become an era of change. Showing that humans aren't to be messed with."

The twins held their sister's hands. Giving their support.

Mina nodded. "As Kei said, humans aren't to be underestimated. Now then." Her eyes got cold. "You three are going to the hospital."

WS Ram opened her to say something, only for Mina to glare at her.

"No butts," Mina hissed at her. "I don't care if you are a goddess. You're going now."

WS Ram pouted looking away, she hates being there. WS Rom sweat-dropped, not sure what to do.

White Heart giggled but welcomes this. That same love is what helped them.

"Mina wins this round." She glowed and turned back to her human form. "I will go by vehicle, please. I had enough flying for now."

Mina gave a smile. "I'll get a car for you."

Blanc nodded with a smile.

Mina left the trio alone. All with warm hearts, grateful to have a loving oracle with them.

Blanc looked at her city, it is a cold place to live in. But it has a warmth to it.

Monita, is this what you wanted? Blanc thought with melancholy. A welcoming place to live. A chance to be a part of something nice.

Maybe, that's what the Lowee goddess wanted all this time. To give her people a soothing place to call home.

In the destroyed home of Purple Heart in Planeptune. Purple Sister covered her out cold sister on a couch. After dressing her wounds.

She could see the damage done to their home. Thankfully, she was able to get some of her clothes on. Along with getting some of her sister's clothes, and placing them close.

She didn't think Neptune needed to be at a hospital right now. Or be woken, unless things get bad.

A moan got her attention, instantly her head snapped to look at Neptune. But it wasn't her.

She gasped in horror. "Histoire-san, are you here?"

Her scream seemed to arouse someone as a moan answered.

She looked to see a hint of a blue dress under the rubble. Her legs moving there. Once there, moved the debris to see a hurt Histoire.

Blood on her face, body, and clothes. She moaned in pain but didn't wake up. Her left-wing bent with the other fading.

Purple Sister gasped in horror, her friend is hurt badly. How long was she there?

She gently grabbed the tone, giving one quick look at her sister. "I'll be back, Onee-chan. I need to take Histoire-san to the hospital."

She didn't get a reply from Neptune. She blasted off to a hospital, after a few tense minutes, arrived to see a crowd already there.

"Oh, my," Purple Sister muttered in shock. She could all of them hurt, trying to get help.

This drove the point across on how bad it is.

The crowed was being talked to by nurses, and doctors. All trying to help those injured.

Purple Sister landed by one who could help. "Excuse me, my friend needs help."

The nurse had her back turned, taking notes. She did hear the voice and turned. "Give me."

Her eyes went cold at seeing the two.

Purple Sister gulped at seeing this, those eyes are full of rage.

"Why are you here?" The nurse growled, rage pouring off her words.

Purple Sister showed the injured Histoire. "My friend needs help. She's hurt badly."

The nurse wasn't the only one to glare at her, dozens more looked at them.

"Go to another place, you damn brat," a voice called out.

Purple Sister gulped. "Please, I just want to help my friend."

"As you've done with us?" A different voice challenged.

Other voices started speaking, not friendly ones.

Purple Sister didn't like this, it seemed this is becoming bad for them.

Soon, a couple of security officers appeared, blocking everyone from the goddess.

A doctor appeared. "Nurse, please keep helping those people. I'll handle this one."

The nurse nodded and reluctantly went back to doing what she was doing.

The doctor waved at the two to follow him. Purple Sister followed with the officers following.

They entered the emergency area, seeing all the hurt people and staff rushing to help.

This brought how bad it is to the goddess. Soon, they arrived at a room. It wasn't fully stocked, but clean enough.

"Place her here," the doctor ordered, pointing at the bed.

Purple Sister nodded and placed Histoire there. Once there the doctor started checking her vitals.

He reached for child cuffs and emergency supplies. Pulling out a pair of scissors, cut off Histoire's dress. Seeing the bruises and dried blood on her small body.

Purple Sister covered her mouth in horror, she didn't think her friend was hurt this badly.

"I'll need to have x-rays," the doctor said, now looking at Purple Sister. "We'll take care of her, but you need to leave."

Purple Sister nodded and stepped out. Once outside to see security officers, guarding the door. She raised a brow.

Why were there guards there? Also, they looked at her coldly.

"It is her," a voice hissed.

Purple Sister looked to see a wounded man, dressing covering his head, and arms. Glaring at her with venom to kill her on the spot.

Purple Sister gulped, knowing it is her he is talking about. "Can I help you, sir?"

The man growled. "Help? Help! You mean by what you and that cursed sister caused. What in hell was that? I don't know what that lady did to you, but how in the hell did share do that?"

Purple Sister sweated nervously. "I can't say, sir. As it—"

"Then when are you going to say it?" the man interrupted the goddess, rage in his voice. "When we're all dead, no one is alive anymore as what nearly happened. Or maybe, I should just wait for the goddesses of Lastaton or Lowee to say something. They are better at explaining things than you." He pointed at her.

Purple Sister stepped back, sure she is stronger than this person. Even if she's weaker, she can't attack him. Her eyes spotted others glaring at her.

"Please understand," Purple Heart replied, calmly as possible. "We didn't mean for this to happen. We thought that our means were good enough to stop this."

"What means would that be?" a different voice asked. "We've never seen share act like that. Not even if you say that it was going wild. That isn't wild, that was an attack! One that seemed to ready to blow us to kingdom come."

Purple Heart looked to see others glaring, growling at her, they might even become a mob. "Please, I didn't want this. We are here to help you."

"Help, like that lazy ass sister of yours?" a voice accused. "I don't care if you call her beating bosses good enough for this. We all almost got destroyed by your power source, and expect us not to be weary of it?"

Purple Sister looked away in shame. "Please stop, I'm sorry this happened. Onee-chan cares for you, we only want to help."

A water bottle hit her in the head. Purple Heart winched in pain, along with getting wet from the water.

"That is what we think of your help," a voice replied, rage apparent. "I've seen time and time again much more caring from White Heart and Black Heart. Despite what you say or what we've seen of their counties. They even looked ready to save us.

"While you and that damn sister fought each other as brats! No sign of that, no even before that. How much do we have to put up with? Even your so-called best oracle failed in preventing this. I should have left years ago."

Purple Sister looked at them, seeing all the rage, and frustration pouring out of them. Her frustration starting to come. "Please, I know that when I got attacked by that battle suit. It messed with my memories. I didn't know what I was. Even Green Heart and my sister didn't. We all are victims."

She hoped that helped them to understand. Only to see more glaring.

"Maybe you're right, or what that person said is true," a different voice replied. "That Purple Heart is a brat. One that needs to learn some manners. Or is it just we need to go along with her act more? Pretend this didn't happen, forget all the lives lost. Our homes are gone, nothing left of them.

"All because you want to act as the good guys. Have us be sheep, or cattle to slaughter for your place. What that woman did is right, you goddesses aren't good, just freeloaders," a voice replied.

Purple Sister stepped back, her eyes looking at the guards. Only to see them glaring at her.

"You aren't going to stop this?" Purple Sister pleaded, hoping they would do something. Along with her frustration starting to boil.

She didn't wish for this, attacked by Monita. Forced into a situation.

"Why should we when they said the truth," one of them replied, cold as ice. "We give our lives and for what? Just so your sister can be free to do what she wants. I don't know what to think about Black Heart and White Heart. As they seem harsh with things, but from what I've learned from the events.

"They care more for us than you."

Purple Heart growled, and something snapped in the goddess. "Enough! We've fought to save you from monsters. Gave you a place to call home. We may have made mistakes, but how can you turn your…" She stopped ranting at seeing the guards nearly pull their weapons.

Sure she could easily hurt them, but the words of Monita came back to haunt her.

"At the end of the day, you tyrants aren't that different from us!" Monita's voice said. "You only had the advantage of being in power."

Purple Heart shivered in revulsion. "No, we aren't tyrants. We can't be, I didn't want to harm you. This isn't what I thought we do, please let this be wrong."

She looked, only to see cautious looks, even some backing away from her. Fear in their eyes that she'll hurt them.

"Sure we are stronger than humans, have protected them from threats. Even fought for them many times, it is so easy for us. But this is a wake-up call.

"We have a symbiotic bond with our people. One is fragile as any bond. If we don't respect them, they will fight back when pushed as Monita did. Or have done as with all of us."

The words of Black Heart came to her. Making her realize just how much that bond might be broken here.

"It is shown how much they care for your asses. Monita did say that it took one shot of those inverter takers for you. Where we had to have two, along with our old inverters changing by that so-called weakness of having them want to protect us. I much rather have that glory."

White Heart's words came to her. For when she needed their people's help, they refused it. Because; they don't care if they lived or died. Deep down, they don't care.

Purple Sister sank to her knees, tears coming to her eyes. "I was … about to force my wants on them. All because of my status, is this right? I wanted them to have a peaceful life with Onee-chan as we've done. Is that wrong?"

"I think you should go," a different voice ordered.

Purple Sister looked to see the doctor looking at her, a stern look on his face. He came out of the room, seeing this take place.

Right now, Histoire is getting x-rays. So, he needed to see other patients, they were flooded right now.

The goddess stood to look at him. "But what about my friend? Don't I need to be here for her?"

The doctor shook his head. "Your only causing a ruckus, making it hard for us to do 'our jobs.' I can't have you impose that, not now with this disaster. I'm a doctor first, I'll care for her as any other patient. For I took an oath to not harm, you have to let me and my colleagues do that."

Purple Sister rushed away, ashamed at what she is doing. Even if that doctor didn't say it out loud, it was clear as day. He is mad at her too.

The people let the goddess leave, all giving her disgusted looks. They even took a video of her outburst. Not helping with what has happened.

Purple Sister took to the skies once outside, tears pouring down her face. Histoire is hurt badly, her country is nearly in ruins. Her people are turning against her.

It is as if judgment day is coming for them. Only in another form, one they can't stop so easy.

In Leanbox, at what is left of Vert's home. Chika moaned as her eyes opened.

She is leaning on a wall, hurt but still alive. "What happened?"

The only thing she could remember is running from the share crystal. Then flying and darkness.

After a few seconds, a figure appeared. Her eyes adjusted to see Green Heart standing close.

"Green Heart." Chika slowly moved, hoping to make sure that is her.

Green Heart looked at her oracle. "Chika, are you still alive?"

Chika smiled. "I think so, Green Heart. Unless I'm about to die with seeing an angel take me to the afterlife."

Green Heart laughed nervously, still glad to find Chika alive. When she got here seeing so much destruction. Various vehicles rushed to help people, chaos from the disaster.

Chika winched, looking at her left leg to see it swelled. She touched it and winched. It hurts so much. With various cuts on her body.

Green Heart gasped. "Chika, please be careful. That leg looks to be broken." She has seen broken limbs before.

The oracle nodded. Then blushed. She now got a good look at her goddess. Seeing her only in a nice green bra and panties. "Now, I am going to heaven. I've seen such beauty."

Green Heart stiffened. She forgot about her state. She winched and glowed.

"Green Heart," Chika gasped, fear at what is wrong with her goddess.

Green Heart stepped back, hugging herself. She fought it, only for a poof to come from her.

Chika screamed, was her goddess about to disappear? After just coming back to her?

Once the light faded, to see Vert standing before her. Dressed in a … small dress and cute panties.

"What?" Chika blinked, lost at what happened.

When did Green Heart get those clothes? Plus, they looked to be for a kid.

Vert giggled nervously. "Seems I'm still feeling the effects of my crystal weakened. Sorry, but could you wait for me to get some clothes that fit."

Chika nodded and watched as her goddess left her. She winched, her leg is killing her. It must be broken. Looking herself over to see the cuts, but everything looks good.

After another minute, Vert retuned wearing her usual green dress. She bent to help Chika. "We better check the share crystal, Chika. I'm sorry but after that. I'll take you to a hospital. Bear with me for a little."

Chika nodded and rose to her feet, favoring her injured leg, with Vert's help. Her arm over Vert's shoulders. Helping her to walk.

Vert grunted a little. Chika isn't that heavy thankfully, but still. She wished to be in her HDD right now.

The two walked slowly to what was left of the share chamber.

To see the whole room destroyed, with only a small power icon floating in there. Giving a soft blue light.

Vert placed Chika by a wall. Who leaned on it, looking concerned. The crystal looks so weak and small.

Vert walked closer to see the damage. Up close to see a few cracks but no sparks. "Not good. I didn't think it was this damaged."

She touched it, a primitive way to feel its strength. It was still strong to power Leanbox, but her transformation is hindered. Not until she can gain more share and repair it, taking time to heal it fully.

"No wonder, I can't fully transform. It is conserving its strength, powering Leanbox," Vert said quietly, it makes sense.

Her crystal is in bad shape. Sadly, how much will it take to fix it? She'll have to limit her transformations. Only for emergency use in a fight. Hopefully, not many until her crystal is healed.

Chika gulped, from the looks of things. It is going to be a rough road. "Green Heart, I'm here for you." She had a hand on her chest.

Vert looked at her oracle with a smile. "Thanks, Chika. I'll … need to lean on you for a while."

Chika gushed with a smile. She moved to show her support. Only fall because of her broken leg. Along with a rip, her dress got caught on a piece of jagged wall.

Vert sweat-dropped at seeing the moment ruined by Chika's fall and getting a look at her panties. Pink ones, a cute mini version of a winking Vert on the front. Green Heart is on the waistband.

Vert knows there is a cute version of her HDD on the back. As she is familiar with certain things being made with her image.

Chika screamed to cover her lucky panties. Now Green Heart knows about them, given how mature her goddess is. This could be embarrassing to her goddess.

Well, she secretly wears other clothes like this.

Vert slowly walked toward the embarrassed woman. "Let's get you some different clothes, then. I'll take you to the hospital, okay?"

Chika nodded and held out her hand. Vert grabbed it and lifted the woman. The two walked to where Vert's room, given it has clothes Chika can borrow. As her room was mostly spared.

They are about the same size.

Even if it hurts, Chika is in heaven. Feeling how soft her goddess is, caring for her. Even if she exposed her secret underwear, it helped her again. Preventing her from dying, seeing Green Heart safe. Even seeing her gorgeous body.

In Lastation, Noire's room. The goddess is alone and looking at her laptop. The only clothes on are her underwear. A soft pink strapless bra with a rose between the cups.

Her pink panties have roses along the waistband. Helping to show her firm butt. Her hair was loose, shining as it looked soft as a cape.

On the laptop, she is watching the fight between Purple Heart and Monita. Seeing the outcome and how the human did.

"I shouldn't be surprised," Noire muttered, not sure what to think. Monita gave her and Blanc a hard time.

While they could have warned Neptune about the inverter takers, it was too risky to give that information, and they hoped to find Monita before this happened. Sadly, they didn't act fast enough.

Now only for Pandora's box to be opened. She received reports that Planeptune's and Leanbox's hospitals are flooded with wounded, asking for assistance.

She could deny them but opted to let them come by sending supplies and personal. It was the right thing to do. Even Lowee is sending its help.

They can't overlook what has happened, then came the news. All asking for answers to why this happened. How did share go out of control? Why weren't they told about it, and what caused it?

Noire sighed, looking away from the laptop. Kei is probably on the way to the lab, with some extra protection. They can't take any chance someone would know about the passcodes for Monita's computers.

The door opened, causing a winch from Noire. She is only in her underwear.

She looked to see Uni, her hair down and only wearing a shirt. "Noire, I'm sorry for encroaching but."

Noire nodded and moved to sit down on her bed. "I'm still here for you, Uni. I … don't mind having you here. Maybe for a while."

Uni walked to the bed and sat by her sister. And held her sister's hand. Seeing the bandages on Noire's face, legs, arms, and torso. All weren't significant to harm her but hurt.

Noire could see the bandages on Uni's head and hand. It pained her to see such wounds on her sister, still, it could have been worse.

The two quietly sat with each other, enjoying this peaceful moment. As they haven't had one for the past few days. Scrambling to recover the goddesses' taken inverters, trying to find Monita. Fighting her in Planeptune.

Uni looked at her sister, letting go of Noire's hand. "Noire, will I have to leave you?"

Noire looked at her. "Why?"

Uni looked down clasping her hands. "I'm a full goddess now, does that mean I'll have to leave Lastation? Or take over for you? I mean, it is the reason." She shook her head and decided to tell her sister a hidden truth.

"I think it was the reason, why I was holding myself back."

"Uni," Noire muttered, a hand over her heart.

Uni looked at her sister softly. "All this time, I kept on thinking, I wasn't good enough. Or … that's the lie I made. When deep down, I wanted to stay by your side. Be your sister forever, I think that's why I never became a full goddess. Until now, because I wanted more power to protect you. Even Ram and Rom also felt the same.

"We three wanted to stay by our sister's side. I think that desire is what kept us from changing. Because we didn't want to lose you two. That is the real reason why we never started gaining our full power. It was to stay with you."

It clicked for Noire. The reason why Uni stayed as a candidate. It was because of this, she didn't confront Uni on the matter. It was the same for her, she didn't want to be separated from her sister. They both went along with this lie, wanting to stay as a family.

Noire wrapped an arm over her sister. "For now, we'll both be Lastation's goddesses. This is a new era, one that will change things. We can't say what's in store for us. For that reason, I'll need you, Black Sister, by my side."

Uni smiled and wrapped her arm around Noire. "It will be my pleasure, Black Heart. As your associate goddess. I have to keep you out of trouble." She giggled.

Noire frowned. "Not this again, Uni. I'm old enough to look after myself."

Uni giggled. "I know. It's that, you care too much. Willing to sacrifice yourself, someone has to keep a lid on that. For Lastation needs such a goddess."

Noire smiled. "I guess you're right. Still." She sobered. "I'll need to address the event tomorrow. We can't ignore it, I'll have to tell my people, maybe even the others. What happened to me, Blanc, and the share detonation that nearly happened?

"There are too many videos and pictures of what happened in Planeptune. We can't cover it up now. I've even seen new posts of … Nepgear nearly attacking a group in a hospital."

Uni gasped. "What? Why would Nepgear do that? I mean."

Noire looked away. "Best guess is, she found Histoire hurt or needed to be treated. Everyone is mad and frustrated with what happened. Monita did attack but she kept it low. Only going after the goddesses.

"I'm not going to say she's innocent. But compared to the impurities, she wasn't that dangerous."

Uni looked conflicted. True that Monita did attack her sister and the others. She was precise. Not out of control, but still a threat not to ignore. Whereas the impurities were about to destroy the whole city they were in.

"Nepgear, did you get frustrated?" Uni muttered softly. It could be that her friend was mad about everything.

Given what happened to her. Along with seeing so much ruined.

Noire looked to the sky, seeing the lights of her city. Tense because this effected them all. Only now, what are they going to do?

She'll have to hope her people understand her reasons. For she won't deny that; Neptune might try to pin the blame on her. Vert might too, given how she was first attacked, leading to this event.

The two Lastation goddesses have a lot to answer tomorrow. For they will need to explain what took place.

In Lowee, Blanc's bedroom. Blanc signed, glad to be done with sending supplies and personnel to Leanbox and Planeptune. Even have some injured transported here.

She did hear that Lastation is helping also. While it may seem they shouldn't, it can't be ignored that people need help. Those two countries are damaged badly.

Then comes the bad part. Questions about what happened, and how the share did that. They can't cover it up, no, the best course would be, to tell the truth.

Blanc looked to see her sisters on her bed, sound asleep as they are too tried. She could see the bandages on them, as her own. Thankfully they didn't need stitches but will need to watch them.

Not to get infected and heal right.

Blanc is down to her white panties. One that has butterfly lace on them. She could hear the soft breaths of her precious sisters. She smiled at them. Proud that they became full goddesses, and helped to save the people of Leanbox and Planeptune.

They are becoming great goddesses. That sadly might leave her. She won't pretend that this won't change anything.

She gently stood by them, brushing both of their hair. Gentle enough to not wake them. Could this be the last time she'll be with them?

Sure, they will go back to sleeping on their own, but the part of them leaving Lowee is.

"You two held back, didn't you," Blanc muttered softly, putting the pieces together.

The way they awoke, they must have kept their power in check. Calling on that power when she was threatened by Monita. Doing what they could to help in that fight.

Because they gave them the opening needed for their old inverters to give them that armor. One that could still protect them from Monita's inverter taker. But that didn't help the others. Rom and Ram could still be taken out by them.

Noire did send what she is going to do, tell everyone about the event, and say what happened to them also. While they don't have pictures of themselves as kids. They have seen ones of Nepgear, Vert, and Neptune as them.

Along with the spat between them. She watched the so-called pudding battle. That did bring a giggle to her when Vert got owned by Neptune but at the same time. Neptune did fight dirty, exposing Vert's panties in such a fashion.

With Nepgear, but only after she hurt them. All over pudding, it made her wonder if Neptune had any sanity. She did lose her memories, but that is no excuse to act like that. Or was that just showing how deranged Neptune can be?

It is no secret Neptune can whine and groan when things don't go her way. Being in her HDD could calm it down. But still, could it be a side they ignored? One that could lead to dangerous consequences.

"Neptune, do we have to worry about you too?" Blanc gulped.

The things that Monita said about Vert and Neptune made a shiver go down her spine. Because when you think about it, what is stopping them? Sure they aren't bad per se, but if one of them goes wild. Who is going to stop them?

Will it be another goddess? Or will it have to be the people who lived there?

Monita did open Pandora's box. Shining a light on what can happen to a goddess who could go nuts.

Blanc slowly climbed into her bed, by her sisters. Slowly, she fell into a restless sleep. Thoughts of what is to come.

The next day in Planeptune, what is left of Neptune's home. Neptune woke on the couch.

"Man, what a nightmare," Neptune groaned, slowly getting up.

That dream was so real. She got defeated by a human and regressed to a child. Fought Nepgear and Vert, a share detonation nearly taking place. Saved by Noire and Blanc.

She isn't in her bed, must have fallen asleep on the couch playing a game late last night. She's a little stiff from sleeping on the couch.

Her eyes looked around to see her destroyed home. "Oh crap. It wasn't a dream."

"I'm sorry to say that's right, Onee-chan," Nepgear's voice said, close to the floor.

Neptune looked to see her sister using a sleeping bag. "Nepgear, why are you sleeping here? I thought you would be in your room?"

Given their home seems ruined, their bedrooms should be good, right?

Nepgear got up to show her red eyes, dressed in her usual dress. "I didn't want to leave you alone, Onee-chan. I didn't know how hurt you were, and … to make sure we aren't attacked right now."

Neptune tilted her head. "Attacked, who would attack us now? I mean, Monia is dead and no monsters should show up."

Nepgear shivered. "Our people aren't happy, Onee-chan. They nearly mobbed me when I took Histoire-san to the hospital."

Neptune gasped. "What? I mean, didn't we stop the share detonation."

Nepgear gulped. "Yes, but barely. Along with our fighting each other. I've checked on our share crystal last night, Onee-chan. It's not looking good."

Neptune got up with a winch, she still is wearing her regressed clothes. She snarled and ripped them off. Leaving her naked. Thankfully, not ripping her bandages off.

"I'm getting sick of this," Neptune growled, even if she was naked. It is better than those things. She ran off to check the crystal.

Nepgear blushed but is getting scared. That look on her sister's face didn't look good.

Neptune entered what was left of the share chamber. It had a huge gaping hole to see outside. To see a small power icon floating there.

"That shouldn't be right," Neptune muttered in disbelief. Her crystal is bigger than that thing.

Nepgear appeared and draped a bathrobe over Neptune, who put it on while in shock. "This is what's left of our share. It went into emergency conservation mode. We have enough power for normal things, but we need to limit our transformations, Onee-chan."

Neptune looked at her, her eyes widened in shock. "That is the reason why we only partly transformed?"

Nepgear nodded. "Until we can get it healthy again. But, things are bad."

Neptune shook her head with a hand on her forehead. "Great, just great. I can't beat bosses like this. How are we going to cover this up?"

Nepgear gulped. "I'm sorry to say, it's beyond that, Onee-chan."

Neptune's head snapped to look at her. "What? All we have to do is make some silly story up, and maybe have the others try something. We got hit by it, and at the last moment. Fix it."

Nepgear shook her head. "Onee-chan please understand, they saw share going insane. We as kids lost to Monita and having Noire-san with Blanc-san save us. They even are helping our hospitals and people with supplies. And … are making an announcement."

Neptune growled. "They are what! Not telling me their plans! We should lie or make some story up, not—wait. What are they saying?" She tilted her head.

Nepgear shrugged. "I only know it is about to start in a few minutes. Noire-san is about to start, then Blanc-san will give her own. They have it to where none would interfere with their talks."

Neptune growled with folded arms. "They should have asked me. This isn't their problem, it is mine."

Nepgear gulped, is it her. Or is her sister sounding crazy right now? While this is Planeptune's problem, it effects them all.

Neptune looked at the outside, a start of a new day as the sun rose. Her eyes narrowed. "We need to watch what they say. Best to know what is said."

Nepgear nodded. "I have a laptop that still works with the internet. That's how I learned of it."

Neptune looked at her, relaxing. "Sounds good. After that, we'll get some food and see what to do."

Nepgear smiled softly, trying to relax. Hopefully, they can recover. But a nagging feeling came to her. Did it seem her sister is unhinged?

The two walked to the laptop. It's resting on a small table. They sat down and waited. Nepgear has it on the website that is showing the Lastastion conference taking place.

After a few minutes, they are watching the news about to take place.

In Lastation, a conference room housed reporters. All kinds of recordings taking place. They are called by Black Heart, to answer questions about what happened.

In the back, leading to the podiums for two, Noire looked at all the people gathered. Uni is standing by her. Both are dressed differently as this is important.

Noire had a black business top and a blue bow on her chest. A black skirt and black heels. A bandage was still on her face. Her hair is in ponytails, and only her ribbons are clips.

Uni had a black dress, with blue frills on the sleeves and the helm. Her hair was in its usual style, only with blue clips.

"It is time," Noire muttered, looking serious. She stepped on to the stage with her sister.

The room buzzed with energy, reporters ready to take notes, and ask questions. All have been called here for this. They all know about the events that took place in Planeptune and Leanbox.

Noire arrived and turned on the mic with Uni doing the same. "To all my fellow citizens of Lastation, and possibly of Gamindustri. I know you've heard of the events taking place in Planeptune and Leanbox. As for my involvement in it, I was there to fight against the person called Monita in Planeptune."

Pictures of Monita appeared, looking in her normal clothes. This room had screens to show what needed to be shown.

Muttering came from the reporters. All asking who this was.

"Let me first say that Monita," Noire started explaining. "Is a normal human, one that made a battle suit as the pictures. No goddess or anything different, just a plain human, who had the will to build that. I don't know if any of you would know of her, because she was a betweener of Planeptune and Leanbox.

"Years ago, she offered to help me and the others in the war. Even if she worked in Planeptune. I can't say what her reasons were for this, only, she wanted to help end it. Sadly, things took a turn for the worse. She was fired and discredited by Planeptune, even though I turned her down.

"All of us had a hand in harming Monita. Now that is no excuse for her actions, she is a responsible adult, as we should be. As such, we need to take responsibility for our actions. Which questions do you want to be answered?"

A reporter rose. "Black Heart, what happened to the other goddesses? I know that what the share did is important but how did those three get, um."

Noire nodded. "The term you could say is they … and myself with White Heart reverted to candidates. Such as my sister and the other candidates. Monita attacked us first to learn of our way of using share. Regrettably, that lead to finding a way to power her suit."

Mutters came from the crowd.

Uni tapped her mic, getting their attention. "I know this isn't my place to say this but. Please be lenient on my sister and White Heart. I found them in that state with the White Sisters, we helped them to recover from it. It is by no means their wish to help in the attacks that lead to Planeptune.

"As for the reason why Green Heart, Purple Heart, and Purple Sister acted as they did. It happened to our sisters, they had forgotten what they were. We don't know why that happened, only that our people's love for Black Heart and White Heart helped them. Because they wanted to protect them, giving them the strength to face Monita.

"They also helped in recovering their memories because of that want to help them. For that, I thank you our loving citizens of Lastation and Lowee. From the bottom of my heart." She smiled brightly with a hand over her heart.

Noire also smiled with eyes closed. "You have my gratitude, my dear citizens. I'm … happy you saved me and gave me strength. And I hope for that in the coming days. For things will be hard on all of us, my dear citizens of Lastation." She opened her eyes, her eyes misty.

The room buzzed in disbelief. Did Black Heart just thank them? They, her people who she protected all this time. Help have a place to live.

One reporter cleared their throat. "Okay, but what happened to Leanbox's and Planeptune's share? We know that it can go wild, but that didn't seem to do that."

Noire tensed, here it comes. "That is a secret we've kept for years, everyone. As you know, our share is made by the faith of our people. But sadly with that, it also has a negative side to it."

The reporters tensed, then pictures of black glops appeared on the screens. From the looks of things, they looked to be a share crystal.
"What we've called them are impurities," Noire replied tense, knowing this part will be hard. "Those are the form of anyone's regret and anger at a goddess. I've with the others worked to keep out of our share. The reason is what nearly happened in Planeptune and Leanbox. A share detonation turns all the power in a share crystal into a bomb.

"Sadly, it would seem that those two slipped in taking care of that. Monita only sped it up, because when she reverted them to candidates. They got cut off from their share, keeping it from being stable as they would with going wild. Because impurities have an intellect to them. They hide and wait for the right moment to attack, or build their strength to where the goddess can't stop them."

There were gasps of shock, they didn't know such a thing existed. Was that true? Their anger could make something like that.

"Then Black Heart," a different reporter said. "What about when you got reverted? I mean, wouldn't that happen in Lastation?"

Noire shook her head. "I've done my deep scans regularly, as White Heart has done. We know that danger, as for my reversion. It was thanks to my people who helped get my memories back and in my recovery, as Black Sister said. But if worse came to be, my sister would take over for me. Taking over my responsibility of governing Lastation, as she is meant to do."

The room buzzed with questions. All about how they wanted a guarantee of that. Given how a bomb nearly wiped out two cites. Though it all, Noire and Uni answered the best they could.

That lasted for nearly thirty minutes.

After an hour of Lastation's broadcast, Lowee was about to have their own. Blanc frowned, ready for the show to begin. Her sisters are by her side standing in the back. They are in a conference room, reporters there. Ready for them.

Blanc had on a soft white dress. A pink sash on her waist. Her nation's symbol is on her shoulder. White heels on her feet.

Rom is dressed in a blue dress. A blue bow on her head. Her twin was in a pink dress, with a bow on the side of her head.

All dressed for the event.

"Are you two ready?" Blanc asked her sisters, looking at them.

They didn't need to be here for this. But they wanted to come.

Ram frowned. "I know this will be boring, but we're coming with you. They need to see we are supporting you, Blanc. No, and, ifs, or buts about it."

Rom nodded with clenched fists, a firm look in her eyes.

Blanc smiled softly at them. "Thank you, my sisters. Please keep calm." She sweat-dropped. "Well calm as you can be. You know how hot-blooded we can be."

The twins giggled, that is true. They are hot-blooded.

Blanc nodded with her eyes closed and turned. Her eyes opened. "Time for us to start this." She stepped to the podium.

Her thoughts went to Noire. Seeing the conference she had, she could have started at the same time as the Lastation goddess. But it didn't feel right. For once, they are going to be in the spotlight.

If that is good or bad, remains to be seen. After a few short minutes, Blanc stood at her podium. Her sisters are by her side with their own.

"Greetings, people of Lowee," Blanc said calmly, seeing the reporters at their place. "As you've heard from current events and Black Heart. I stand before you to answer your concerns about what has happened, and what it means for our future."

One reporter stood. "Is it true, White Heart? That the things called impurities to exist?"

Blanc looked at them with a nod. "That is the secret that all the goddesses wanted to keep. Sadly, we made a mistake. I know that Black Heart and I have kept our deep scans regularly. We should have noticed the possible problems of Purple Heart and Green Heart. But, as with our peace treaty with Lastation, Leanbox, and Planeptune. It was agreed that we don't muddle with their operations. As they did with us, keep neutral unless they ask for help.

"Which Black Heart and I've done recently. Helping Leanbox and Planeptune with supplies, and proving hospital beds for their injured people. As with fighting threats that could harm our counties, as with the human Monita. Who you know reverted me to a candidate with Black Heart, Green Heart, Purple Heart, and Purple Sister.

"We all have been hurt by her. Thankfully, we have recovered from this attack. But sadly to say, it isn't that simple. I know some people loathe the goddesses for years. Seeing that we can be harmed by humans, will only entice them to act.

"I by no means am afraid to fight them. But, I much rather have peace with everyone. We don't need any more bloodshed right now. The people of Leanbox and Planeptune will need help to recover from their disaster. For this, I want my people's help, as they did in my time of need.

"Because, as I've heard." Blanc smiled softly with a hand on her chest. "From my new friend, Black Heart, we have a symbiotic bond with our people. One that is fragile, as with any bond. We have to work together to care for our world. For it isn't just about us goddesses, it is with you.

"All of you, humanity, that helps us to protect this world. Gamindustri needs us to work together to make it a peaceful land. One that should make people welcome, no matter where they live. For that, I need your help, my dearest people."

She nodded with soft eyes.

The twins smiled with nods of their own.

Ram look at the crowd. "I'll start by saying this. I know that I'm still learning what it means to be a goddess, even if I'm a full one now with my twin. That doesn't mean things are easy, things are never easy when starting. We … have been hard on our sister."

Some giggles came from the crowd.

"But," Ram continued. "We wanted to protect her and our country. For this is our home, one that needs to be looked after with all of your help. I'm thankful that you wanted that too, help in saving our precious White Heart in her time of need. Giving us the strength to face the danger that came to us. I don't know how to thank you all for that." A few tears came to her eyes.

"You helped protect White Heart: Lowee's Valkyrie. Our precious sister, one that loves us with her heart." Ram moved to the side and bowed at the crowd.

Rom smiled and moved to the side, also bowing at them. She moved back to the podium, with her twin going back to her spot.

"I know that," Rom started talking with cheeks burning. "People will blame our sister for the events. I wish it wasn't so, but that can happen. All because it can be viewed they didn't stop Monita, but … I'll take some of that blame. I was with her and my twin Ram.

"We could have done more, acted quicker. To stop the events, but with the threats that will come. We must be ready to face them, hopefully with our people's help. For it was because of their love for us, that we won against Monita. Helped prevent the share detonation. I can't say what about Purple Heart and Green Heart.

"Only that, we all have our responsibilities. I hope that this will be a lesson for us all. All the goddesses and humans learn from the mistakes made. For the future of our world. That is a duty given to us all," Rom said softly with a hand over her heart.

Even if it was soft, her voice reached the people. Showing them her views on what has happened.

Blanc smiled at her sisters, that so beautiful in their way. It would seem they have a way with words. For that is the only thing they could do now, learn from this.

Become better and change, for they have a world to care for.

In Planeptune, the destroyed home of Neptune. The short purple-haired goddess's jaw is open.

"They told the truth, both of them told," Neptune stammered in shock.

Nepgear nodded but is holding a hand over her heart. Feeling the love that they all said. Noire, Uni, Blanc, Rom, and Ram.

All said such inspiring words, not just to their countries, but to everyone. It was so beautiful, to hope for a peaceful future with humans.

That is something they need to do.

Neptune got up and walked off. Her eyes shadowed.

"Onee-chan?" Nepgear wondered where her sister is going. Could she be getting dressed, hopefully, start fixing Planeptune?

A ring came, and Nepgear reached for a pad. One of her extras as she lost hers. Her eyes sparked, it seemed to be a number of a hospital.

She answered it. "Hello, this is Nepgear speaking."

"Hello, Nepgear," Histoire's voice replied, weak but steady.

Nepgear squalled. "Histoire, your awake! I'm so glad to hear from you. How are you doing, I was so worried."

"I'm in rough shape, Nepgear," Histoire replied. "I have some broken ribs and cuts, but they should heal in time. I've just watched White Heart's and Black Heart's talks. They didn't try to hide the truth."

Nepgear gulped, knowing that questions will be asked about this now. Given it was going to happen either way. "Yes, I can't say if that is the right call. Only, they made that choice on their own."

Histoire sighed. "Maybe it is better. If we lie about the possible share detonation, it would make things harder to explain. As everyone could see our share wasn't going wild. It's just, Monita exposed this. Our failure in keeping impurities at bay."

"Histoire," Nepgear muttered.

A gulp could be heard. "Now we have a problem. I've noticed how tense things are. Even if … I haven't been attacked. People have been demanding answers from me. I also heard of what happened when you dropped me off, Nepgear."

Nepgear shivered. "Sorry, but at the time, I was so stressed. You got hurt, Onee-chan was out. Our city is ruined, I just snapped from it all. I didn't know what to do."

Histoire kept quiet for a few seconds. "I guess, we need to talk to our citizens. Let them know our side. Make it seem we won't make this mistake again. Start rebuilding Planeptune. Repair the share crystal. I only hope that Neptune will help."

Nepgear shivered, the looks her sister is giving. "Histoire, I'm getting weird vibes from Onee-chan. It might be the stress of everything, but."

She could hear rustling. What was felt to be forever, Histoire replied, "Nepgear, please keep an eye on her. Neptune might be shocked at what happened to her. She was defeated, given no chance to get back. Even acted as, well to be blunt, a spoiled child.

"I've rewatched the fight she had with Vert and you. She not only didn't try to find out what was going on, she demanded pudding. Despite there being signs of a fight taking place. Along with … embarrassing Green Heart and you by exposing your underwear. With the fights, she lost. We can't get rid of those videos, and pictures fast enough.

"They are all over the place. Along with what Black Heart and White Heart have said. There are even comments saying." Historie went silent for a minute. "That they should have kept her in that state."

Nepgear gasped in shock. "What? Why would they say such things? I mean, aren't we goddesses of Planeptune? What would happen to our country?"

Histoire sighed. "From what I've read. People only put with your sister's antics because they thought it was fine. Now, they've been shown that a human could defeat a goddess. Finding out that impurities exist, along with that we didn't get them all. Green Heart is getting called out on this."

Nepgear's blood froze. "Then what about Lastation and Lowee? I mean, sure I don't want them to get blamed for this. But, this could affect them also."

"I've been reading about them too," Histoire replied. "While some are calling out to them. Mainly for keeping the impurities a secret. But, they are more understanding."

Nepgear didn't know what to think. "Understanding?"

"I think it is because of what they've been doing these past few years. They worked hard for their people and even told the truth. Tried to save the people of Leanbox and Planeptune. Are helping with the needed aid. Not asking for anything. I'm sorry to say, that is more than what Neptune has done. Even we are guilty of that."

"Histoire, why?" Nepgear asked the tome. "You help manage things, helped with the paperwork, make things work…" A shiver ran through her spine, her heart in her stomach.

"You get it too," Histoire replied, fear in her tone. "We've done most of the work. Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing, but what about Neptune? Sure she has defeated monsters, and bosses, and fought with the other goddesses. But with that defeat, not getting back. Being saved by White Heart and Black Heart. Along with those two aren't demanding anything.

"Doesn't it seem they're more victims than her?"

Nepgear gulped. Weirdly, it could seem like that. It is no lie that Neptune will tease Noire, and Blanc at times. But … was it simple teasing? Could it be more, now that people know how she acted as a kid? The way she fought Vert and herself. Could it make her more of a bully?

"I need to keep an eye on her," Nepgear replied, tense at this news. "If she does something bad, we could pay for it. Because we need our people to help us."

"That's what I'm afraid of," Histoire replied tightly. "We can't make the situation worse by Neptune flying off the handle. Even you have to dread lightly, Purple Sister. While Monita did attack you, reverted you. The fact of the matter is, we are responsible for the impurities that nearly destroyed Planeptune. We didn't see the signs of the share crystal being infected. That is on us all."

Nepgear ended the call, now rushing to find her sister. She needs to warn Neptune about this. Hope she can calm her sister.

In a hospital room, the one that Histoire is at. The tome sighed while hanging up the phone. She is on a bed.

Her wings are fine now. A few dressings on her small body. The smallest gown is on her, nearly too big for her. Her blond hair loose

Thankfully, they let her borrow a laptop, that is on a tray. That is how she was able to learn about everything.

"Neptune, please don't make things worse," Histoire muttered, afraid of what can happen.

Much as she would think that nothing could go wrong, it can. Look at what happened with Monita.

Sure she is a human, you didn't think that could take on a goddess. But she did learn about the inverters that powered them. Made a battle suit, and have her monsters fight for her.

Histoire gulped at a nasty thought. Blame Black Heart and White Heart for their problems. It could be so easy, spin how they helped Monita, secretly let her have their inverters, and act as if they wanted to find her. Let her attack Purple Heart, Purple Sister, and Green Heart.

Because they are contending for share.

"No," a shivering Histoire muttered in fear. "If we try that, it could make things worse. That way isn't right. It would only work if the people didn't see them caring so much. They work for their countries and nearly got reverted again to stop Monita. Ready to sacrifice their lives for saving people, I … can't."

Then came her guilt. She is Planeptune's oracle. When in truth, she should be a 'neutral party.' Because she is a keeper of this world's knowledge. She does do that part when her time allowed it, but. How neutral is she?

She has chosen a side, Planeptune's. Not offering her help to Leanbox, Lastation, or Lowee. Only staying at Planeptune, help Neptune and Nepgear. No Black Heart, Green Heart, or White Heart.

Well a little, but only when it involved Purple Heart or Purple Sister. Doing what should be done by Purple Heart.

"Have I neglected my responsibilities to the others?" Histoire questioned her role.

But it seemed they didn't need her help. Or could it be, they don't trust her? She only helps Neptune, not talking to them. Not seeing if they are doing good. Unless it involved Planeptune in some way.

Histoire's eyes shivered. "Monita, did you see this? Is that why you wanted to help Lastaton and Lowee first? Because Neptune has it so easy. Everyone covered for her, but that wasn't repaid. She just took and took."

Another thought came to the tome. It was when she was trying to reconnect Neptune to her share. It was important to do that, but what about Leanbox? She had seen Vert reverted, the same as Neptune and Nepgear.

For that country doesn't have a candidate to take over for Vert. It was in more danger than Planeptune, Lowee, and Lastation. For it has one, while the others have more than one.

Chika couldn't know about the impurities as Vert didn't want that information to be known by just anyone. Chika probably wouldn't talk about it, given her feelings for Vert. But, did she even know how to reconnect Vert to her share?

The answer is: no. There could be no way Chika would know that. She had the means to call and talk to her as she worked on making a connection to Neptune, or Nepgear. Let Chika know how to help Vert.

But, she only focused on Neptune and Nepgear.

"No, I can't be that bad, please let it be wrong," Histoire muttered in disbelief.

Then came the realization that Lastation's and Lowee's people did more to help their goddesses than her. The one who should help them.

They did more for them than Histoire, the so-called oracle of the goddesses.

In Leanbox, Chika is laying on a bed. Thankfully her home, like dozens are destroyed. But a few are still standing, with a few apartment complexes.

She is only dressed in a pink nightgown, and a cast on her left leg. Along with a few bandages on her arms and face. She could be with Green Heart but was ordered to get some rest. From the doctors and Green Heart.

She didn't feel the need to argue with it. She aches so much, being thrown as a rag-doll will do that. She did count herself lucky, well her lucky underwear did help. Because she could have been killed … as others have.

The oracle won't deny that lives have been lost, ruined by the impurities that Green Heart missed.

She has heard what White Heart and Black Heart said about the events. While they told the truth, they are keeping as neutral as possible. Part of her was mad that they didn't say they got turned into children, but she understood the reason.

They did warn Green Heart of Monita, about how her goddess acted and told her. Only that.

Chika sighed. "What I'm to do? I can't blame White Heart and Black Heart, they helped to save our lives. Green Heart's life too. I know that Leanbox's people aren't happy … that is an understatement."

Chika almost thought they would be assaulted arriving at the hospital. All demanding answers to what happened. With no choice, Green Heart left her there, making sure she had security watch her.

Thankfully, they did that. With the doctors doing their job. She did spot supplies coming in from Lastation and Lowee, even some doctors and personnel to set up popup tents to treat people.

All to help them in this disaster.

She looked at her laptop, about to watch the fight that Green Heart had against Purple Heart, both as kids.

While she shouldn't watch this, it was needed. Because after she saw Green Heart get blasted by Monita, she was busy with the share. Missing parts of it. She needed the full details of this so-called pudding fight.

After a few minutes, Chika's brow twitched. Done watching the fight

"The nerve of that, brat," Chika hissed, seeing how much a brute that Purple Heart was.

Not ounce of compassion for Green Heart, well she did fall on her. But that was no reason to demand something so trivial as pudding. Didn't they hear the sounds of that fight? Or asked why they were there.

It looked that Green Heart and Purple Sister had more sense to ask about it. She checked the earlier parts of them getting reverted. Whereas Purple Heart wanted pudding, even before Green Heart got reverted.

She begged for it.

Wasn't she the least bit concerned about being there? Well sure she forgot what she was, but.

Chika gulped at a sudden, scary thought. "If she was that deranged as a kid. How bad is she now? I mean, it is no lie that Purple Heart is nutty at times. Lazy with pride. But, if this is any indication of having a few screws loose. What will happen now? I mean."

This made the Leanbox oracle scared. Sure she doesn't mind Green Heart's … relaxing ways. But what about Purple Heart? She has Histoire and her sister to help her. They could be doing most of her work.

But with the current events will they keep Purple Heart happy? Calm to where she won't fly off the handle. There were tints of it during the war. When she was forced into a stalemate, even seemly to be equal to the other goddesses.

That calmed down when they made peace with each and face some threats. But for the most part, Purple Heart was in charge of it.

Given the spotlight, one that can be taken away. Right this moment, why did everyone put up with her?

It was because they thought she was needed. Or do what Monita did was possible. Take her down.

"I must warn Green Heart," Chika whispered, a shiver going down her spine. "Hope that I'm wrong about this. Things are tense enough in Leanbox. But if that goddess does something wrong. It could lead to repercussions for us all. After all, it is so easy to forget share is made by people's faith in a goddess.

"If they realize that, they would just stop believing in the goddesses. I can't say anything about White Heart and Black Heart, not with what they've been doing these past few years. But what about Leanbox and Planeptune? We're the ones for sure in the hotbox."

Her hands reached for her pad, despite being ordered to rest. This is important, she has to talk with Green Heart now.

In Planeptune, Nepgear is looking around outside their ruined city. Trying to find Neptune.

"Onee-chan, please don't do anything rash," Nepgear muttered.

After her talk with Histoire, she found Neptune gone. No sign of her in their home.

Not good.

She could see people walking around, starting to pick up the pieces of what was left. She even spotted what looked to be popup tents, treating people, and giving them food and water. Some had Lastation's symbol with others being from Lowee.

She was glad that Blanc and Noire sent those to help. Even if the power is running, nearly all the systems are ruined. It will take time to fix them, as the crews in charge of them are working.

Thankfully, she is mostly unnoticed. She didn't need to make any scenes.

Her eyes kept looking for any signs of Neptune, she already checked around their home. Even looked at where her sister could get some food. Only to find those places in bad shape, and they might not be willing to serve her anything.

She did hear voices, that are muttering unpleasant things. She gulped and looked to see Neptune walking toward one of the tents.

"Onee-chan," Nepgear called out to her, hoping to get her attention.

Neptune stopped and looked at her, an unreadable expression on her face. She slowly smiled and waved at her.

Nepgear nervously waved back, and she flinched. This isn't the time for that. She has to see if her sister is okay, that look she gave before. It was unnerving.

Neptune has been walking around her city. Seeing the sites, mainly unnoticed, as she needed. To only see the devastation. Buildings were ruined, bodies of people were taken away. People slowly working on picking up the pieces.

Is this real?

She did see her younger sister appear. Along with those tents, that have the symbols of Lastation and Lowee. A snarl came to her face.

Those two are responsible. Are they trying to cover up their mistake? Not on her watch.

In the Lastastion tent, this one handed out MREs to the people who need them, while they could give different food. This is the best option.

The people signed up for this, wanting to help the people of Planeptune. Despite their dislike of Purple Heart. That is no reason to make her people suffer.

A man was about to hand over another MRE, only to see Purple Heart, breaking the line.

"What?" He is confused at this, sure the goddess could be hungry. But she has a snarl on her face.

Neptune passed by the people in the line. Now standing by the man.

"Why are you here?" Neptune demanded, hands on her hips.

The man sweat-dropped. "Sorry if we didn't put the right forms, as this was rushed, Purple Heart. We're giving food to the people who need it. There are even other supplies if you want to check on them," he answered politely as possible.

Given how they did appear with some armed personnel, keeping an eye out for would-be troublemakers.

Neptune glared and slammed a fist on the table, causing the man to step back.

"Trying to play innocent, aren't you," Neptune growled. "What game is Noire playing? Let that damn Monia attack me. Make me a laughing stock, and now acting all goodie, goodie. Giving stuff for free?"

The man nearly glared. "Look, I'm sorry if the event hurt you, Purple Heart. We're trying to help. If you want answers, please call Black Heart as this is under her orders. She can—"

He stopped when Neptune pulled out her sword. "I'm not getting answers from her." Her eyes took a gleam. "I want them from you. One who won't dress it up with a nice talk, oh I'm sorry for your loss, Neptune."

The man could see the guards tense, hands ready to fire or do something. Being careful not to make things worse.

Neptune could hear muttering behind her, she clicked her tongue.

Her head snapped to glare at them. "Be quiet! I'm trying to get answers on what has happened."

The people backed away, but a woman stepped forward. Glaring at the goddess.

"Maybe we shouldn't," she challenged the goddess. Arms at her side with clenched fists.

Neptune snarled and turned to face her. "Why not? This is my country to rule, I'm in charge of it. By all rights, I'm doing what needs to be done."

"Which is getting away from what you've been doing. A big fat zero," the woman stated.

Neptune almost pointed her sword at the human. "What? I've fought for you, protected you from monsters. I didn't see you do anything like that." She pointed her hand at the woman.

The woman glared back. "Your right, but how much was that for yourself? I know Black Heart fights monsters. White Heart does that, but from what I think. They do it out of love for their people, wanting to show they care.

"Not as you." She pointed at Neptune. "Even when that woman attacked, it seemed you care more for yourself. Not an ounce of sympathy for us. Or even the other goddesses who risked their lives, even your sister."

Neptune growled. "You, I do care for my sister. I've kept her safe, giving her a home these past few years."

The woman glared. "Then what about the other goddesses, aren't they worth your notice? Or us? I can't say how you treat them, but from all the rumors, you only use Black Heart for your amusement."

"That is none of our business," Neptune snapped. "I don't care what you think. Noire is my pl-" She stopped at seeing everyone glaring at her.

She growled, fine if they want to fight: fine by her.

Nepgear rushed, even if it wasn't too far. She can't get to her sister fast enough. She could see things are getting worse. Only to see her sister transforming.

"Onee-chan, don't do it!" Nepgear exclaimed, hoping her voice would reach her.

Only for Purple Heart to stand there, only wearing underwear.

Even if Nepgear blushed, she needs to stop her sister. Because Purple Heart has her sword, ready to fight the crowd.

Not good at all.

The Lastation relief squad is tense. All of them are ready to leave this place. One of the soldiers is calling on his radio, letting his command know what is going on.

While they could protect Planeptune's citizens from threats, this is complicated. The threat is the country's goddess, one that looks ready to fight her people.

Purple Heart growled with cheeks burning, it happened again. Her human-form underwear is the only thing on her. A soft green camisole that is tight, a gamepad on the chest. Her green panties sparkled with gamer on them.

The crowd could laugh but are tense at seeing the goddess glare at them.

"This is your fault," Purple Heart replied coldly. "If you believed in me, I wouldn't be in this mess. No impurities would form from your misplaced anger. You will believe in me, right now." Her sword gleamed, as she slowly raised it.

Nepgear appeared behind and got her sister in a half-nelson.

Instantly, Purple Heart's head snapped to glare at the person who grabbed her. "Nepgear, what are you doing?"

Nepgear gulped at hearing that growl, it sounded like an animal. But she tightened her grip. "Please calm down, Onee-chan. You can't hurt them, they're our people. Please stop this."

Purple Heart snarled. "That is the reason why I must 'correct them.' They have their place."

Nepgear shivered, that didn't sound good. It almost sounded like her sister is possessive of them. As if they are her toys to do with. Monita's words came back again, saying how Purple Heart's toys would only be missed.

"Onee-chan," Nepgear pleaded. "Please don't. This isn't the way to fix our problems. We need their help. You know how share is made. This isn't the way, it will only make more impurities. Or no share at all."

Purple Heart growled and glowed, calling on share. For what, Nepgear didn't know.

The crowd backed away, ready for this … crazed goddess to attack them. Only for a boom to come from her. Knocking everyone away from Purple Heart.

Nepgear screamed, knocked back from her sister's rebound. She winched at hitting the table, knocking down the MREs and bottles of water. Her eyes went to see how her sister is doing.

"They should … listen to…" Neptune fell, spent from the rebound. She landed with a spat, out cold. Her sword went back into storage.

Thankfully, the people only had the breath knocked out of them. But still weary, they nearly got attacked.

Nepgear sighed, relieved her sister is out. For a second there, it looked. Her thoughts stopped at hearing a pad ring, hers.

Nepgear gulped, sure she could overlook it. But checked to see who it was: Noire's number.

"Hello," Nepgear answered shakily, to see a glaring Noire. Not good.

"Purple Sister, I demand an explanation," Noire growled, her eyes burning as hot coals.

Nepgear shivered. "On what, Noire-san?"

Noire frowned. "You know what I'm talking about. The attack that your sister was about to make my people and yours. What reason did she have for that?"

Nepgear broke in a cold sweat. "Onee-chan is stressed. I'm sure this is a misunderstanding." She laughed nervously.

Only to see Noire snarl. "I don't call attacking my citizens, who are trying to help you. A misunderstanding! Looters I can, not the goddess who is in charge of your country, acting as a spoiled child. Going to blame this on myself. Maybe even White Heart, am I wrong?"

Nepgear gulped. This sounds very bad. "I don't know what to do, Noire-san. I tried to stop Onee-chan. Even Histoire-san wanted me to keep an eye on her."

Noire didn't lessen her glare. "Typical, or should I be the good friend? Forget about this occasion, take the blame for not stopping Monita from attacking you. Even while I risked my life for you, with my sister, and Lowee's goddesses.

"What more do I have to pay to be Purple Heart's friend? Or am I just a conven-ient thing to use, is that it?"

Nepgear opened and closed her mouth, not saying anything.

Noire clicked her tongue. "Do I just leave the supplies with you?"

"I … don't know, Black Heart," Nepgear replied, deciding to call Noire by her goddess's name. "We don't have the manpower to distribute them. Along with the technicians and doctors we need now."

Noire tapped her finger. "Fine, but know this. I'm issuing orders at the first sign of trouble, by you or Purple Heart. They are to retreat to Lastation, even shoot if needed, but only if needed to get away. For I'm not putting my people at risk of being harmed unnecessarily. Especially when they're 'noncombatants.' Do you understand, Purple Sister?"

Nepgear slowly nodded.

"Good, be ready for White Heart to call you. I don't know what she'll do, but I'm letting her know what nearly happened, as her people are also helping you," Noire stated coldly.

Nepgear gulped with a cold sweat. Then the call was terminated, leaving the candidate shivering in fear. Not only did her sister nearly hurt innocent people, she almost attacked Lastation's people, who were helping them.

She looked at everyone, all ready for any action from her. She needed to get out of here with Neptune. Only, she can't transform, but from the corner of her eye. Spotted a flatbed cart, one that could help her.

Silently, she walked to the cart and removed the last box. She then pushed it near her sister, and gently placed her on it. A little hard on her, but she managed.

After making sure Neptune is on, she walked off. Not one word came from anybody, only silence.

After a few minutes of walking toward their home, Nepgear's pad rang. She looked to see a number. She wasn't familiar with it but answered. To see Blanc looking mad.

"Hello, Purple Sister," Blanc coldly greeted, her voice cold as Lowee's breeze.

Nepgear blinked with a shiver. "Yes, White Heart."

Blanc frowned. "I've just heard from Black Heart what your damn sister nearly did." Nepgear opened her mouth to reply, only Blanc to hold up her hand. "Don't think I'm so clueless to not have other ways of finding the truth.

"Especially when my people are at risk of attack," Blanc stated tightly.

Nepgear nodded. "Yes, White Heart. I'm sorry for the event. I wanted to keep my sister from making a mistake, but I was too late. She almost attacked people. You have my sincere word, that I won't have my sister run amok."

Blanc glared. "Sorry, if I don't believe your word. From what I've heard and learned, you two are unstable as is. Given the events are hard for anyone, you two are goddesses. With responsibilities as the rest of us, to your people as Black Heart and me.

"I'm so tempted to just leave the supplies at your doorstep. Have every one of my people leave your dumbasses. Clean your mess. For I see no reason to help, if it means they'll be your blood offerings," Blanc replied.

Nepgear lowered her head. She is in reason to do that. White Heart shouldn't have to have her people pay for their mistakes.

Blanc sighed. "I'll for now keep them there, but." Her eyes glowed red. "If I hear of any mistreatment. Such as from the goddesses of Planeptune, or ordered by you. I'm getting them out, maybe even thinking of war with you. If you keep pulling this shit again."

Nepgear gasped in horror. "White Heart isn't that extreme! I mean, why would you go to war against us?"

Blanc snarled. "Why? Because I'm not having some crazy goddess hurt people. I don't want to start any wars. But, your sister has a few screws loose. I will be sympathetic to her loss to Monita, but there has to be a line. For I'm more concerned for our people because there is a chance. Purple Heart will go out of control.

"Attack my country, even Lastation. Because we saved her, did a turnaround on what she's been doing. All for some petty jealousy. Can you guarantee, that she'll calm down? Keep this peace we have?"

Nepgear couldn't say anything about that. Neptune seems so out of it.

Blanc clicked her tongue. "For now, we'll help you get back on your feet. But know this, if I find anything wrong. Even when you talk to my sisters. All bets are off. I'll just leave the supplies you need, and no more. Understand me, Purple Sister."

"Understood," Nepgear squeaked.

Blanc's face vanished, leaving Nepgear unsure of what to do. To make matters worse, how many of Planeptune's people have faith in them now?

It looks like the future is bleak for Planeptune.

Noire rubbed her aching head. Uni is by her side, both in Noire's office. Done talking to Blanc, and knowing her response.

Uni shivered. "I didn't think Neptune was that deranged. I mean, she seemed so nice. But to act as that. What in hell is she thinking? This will make things harder for them."

Noire tried to think about it, but how much did they ignore this? Neptune saying weird things, being the boss of everyone. Making fun of her.

"I'm getting tempted to make one of Monita's inverter takers, and use it on Purple Heart," Noire growled, her hands on her desk.

Uni turned blue. Sure Kei got to the lab and is about to start collecting all of Montia's research. They could make it, or use the one that was found in Monita's battle suit. The last one.

Noire growled. She typed on her computer, putting the order to destroy that inverter taker. While they were debating on keeping it. The dangers are too much.

"Noire?" Uni asked, seeing the typing her sister is doing.

"I'm ordering them to destroy the last inverter taker, Uni," Noire replied. "As much that thing might be needed. Even when I get ahold of Kei, make sure none of the blueprints are around. We can't risk it laying around, even if Blanc and I are immune to it.

"I'm not leaving it to be used on you or Blanc's sisters. We can't risk that someone will get hold of it, I need to keep my sense on this," Noire answered.

Uni moved and could see the order. She did trust her sister, only with what is going on. That would be the most powerful weapon to stop a goddess. It was too dangerous for anyone to have.

Noire shook her head. "Damn it, can't she at least keep calm. I know that I was defeated by that monster. Frustrated at not finding Monita fast enough, even powerless to stop her from dying. Why is that Neptune is being so immature? She's no longer reverted, what's her excuse?"

Uni softly placed a hand on her sister's shoulder. "I'm afraid we all thought she was fine. Not noticing the signs of her being unhinged. How long has this been going on?"

Noire lowered her head, it might be long as they've known her. Could it be from her long isolation as her? Neptune was alone for a good while as she, Vert, and Blanc, played her games and not doing her work. Histoire did show a good while back.

Then came Nepgear and the other candidates with that war breaking out. During that time, she did see signs of Purple Heart being odd. Then with the peace treaty, she acted nice to her. Did she see her as a friend or just a thing to play with?

After all, Neptune could have seen how vulnerable she was.

"Best to keep to our distance from Neptune for now," Noire said tightly.

Uni looked to see if this was one of Noire's fits but could see the cold eyes. That was no faking it. No, this might be the best choice.

Thinking about it, Neptune could have been using her sister for fun. While she is friends with Nepgear, she noticed some differences between them. Nepgear does try to be understanding with her, whereas Neptune doesn't with Noire.

Only have fun at her sister's expense.

Uni looked to the window. How much is going to change? Monita has caused a chain reaction with everyone. One that seems endless.

In the outer lands, Monita's secret lab. Kei stepped out of her vehicle, after a few hours of driving. Seeing all the military keeping watch. Her escort was behind her.

Sure there wasn't trouble, but there have been hints people are looking for this lab. Already, rumors have spread about Monita's lab and secrets.

She walked to the house with a carry-on bag. That had things to store Monita's information. She could see the personnel stationed there. After showing them her ID and orders, she was let into the house.

Kei could see all the tools, and tables with various things. A map on the wall. All pointing toward what Monita did.

"How long did she live here?" Kei stepped in, eager to start working. Her eyes went to a table, seeing glass scattered about. She tilted her head.

No one touched anything, only searching it for people, traps, and monsters. Then protect as per orders.

By the looks of things, it had something on it. She stepped closer, noticing the tops with wires. She gasped, could it be? That's where Black Heart's and White Heart's missing power was at?

She does remember seeing plans to hold share in Monita's documents. If so, how did they escape?

This might not be important. She still wanted to know, after a few seconds, it dawned on her.

"They worked together to get free." Kei couldn't believe it. It made sense, if one could break free, it would have done it long ago.

From what Black Heart told her, her power wanted to return to its owner. She even saw it during the fight against Monita.

Those flashes of light, it must have been them. There are reports of those very lights leaving here, just before the conveys got here.

"Monita," Kei whispered, a hand over her chest. "You bought them together in many ways. I wish it was under different circumstances. It might be too soon to tell, but I think Black Heart likes being with White Heart. They have so much in common."

Kei shook her head, she has a job to do. No time for thinking about this. Her blue eyes went to the computer, with a nod. She walked to it and started booting it up. She did see a prompt.

She placed the flash drive in the port. After a few seconds, the screen appeared. Full of folders, and names of devices that Monita could have been working on.

Kei worked the mouse to land on the one called: Share takers, version five. Clicking on it, she gasped, this looked to be the thing that she used in Planeptune. The blueprints on how they are made, and the materials needed.

"Damn, it is here." Her hands worked the mouse again. Closing the window, she clicked another one. It is called modified monsters plans. Kei browsed over it, details on the monsters that Monita had.

Kei's legs felt like jelly. It is all here. Monita's notes on what she did. All in detail. Instantly, she worked on transferring the data to her flash drive. One that should have more than enough data for it.

After that is done. She'll make sure all data that is here is taken or destroyed. For this is too dangerous to leave laying around.

In Lowee, Blanc's office. The Lowee goddess is pacing. Noire did tell her the news about Monita's lab.

Kei has found everything that Monita worked on, the inverter taker plans are there. Even the way she modified monsters. They could remake those accursed things, in case Neptune starts running amok. But it is too dangerous to use. No, they have other means to stop her. No sense in tempting fate.

Her ears heard the door opening, stopping to see who it is. Seeing Mina with her sisters.

"White Heart, we've … heard the news on Planeptune," Mina replied, looking concerned.

By all counts, this could lead to another war.

Blanc clicked her tongue. "Not good, I'm afraid to say."

Ram stepped forward. "Blanc, will you go to war against Planeptune? I mean, it sounded like you would."

Blanc looked away. Thinking about what to say. She could lie, but won't. "Only if it is needed. I know you don't want that with Neptune. As she is a friend or such, only."

Ram frowned and walked to her sister. Rom followed with narrowed eyes.

Blanc faced them, seeing their looks. She gulped, here it comes. They're going to get after her. Instead, they hugged her.

"Rom, Ram," Blanc whispered, confused about this.

"I know you don't want a war, Blanc," Ram replied softly. "But, if Purple Heart goes out of control, who will stop her? We can't turn a blind eye to that, same as Monita. Or is this what she has seen? Looking at how…"

Blanc returned the hug. Feeling how conflicted her sisters are.

Mina stood silently, hoping for the best.

Rom looked at her sister. "I think it's best to watch her. I know we haven't been around long enough to know your history with the other goddesses, Onee-chan. But, I've noticed how Purple Heart looked at you. She looked mad that you won against Monita. Not caring that you got hurt like us. Also, when she seemed ready to play with us.

"It looked as if she deliberately put herself before us," Rom said, shaking her head. "I don't know. It feels as if she wanted us to notice her more. Maybe trying to keep our attention on her. I know it sounds weird, but…"

Blanc nodded. "I understand, Neptune could have been playing us all for fools. I didn't notice how alone Noire is. Or even how we could be friends without her. Maybe she even drove a wedge between us, keeping Noire isolated. All so she could use her."

Ram looked at Blanc. "You mean as Monita said?"

Blanc sadly nodded. "I think Monita could have seen that side. For she worked in Planeptune. Attacking Planeptune after us, she probably wanted to stop Neptune, before she went nuts. Or seeing that sooner or later, something would have unhinged her. As what happened. I can't say if that was the right call or not.

"Only," Blanc sighed. "She wanted to act before things got bad. Maybe stop another war. Exposing the impurities that were hidden from Neptune, because she didn't do her job. Along with Vert's carelessness. She might have wanted a system that makes sure we goddesses don't go rogue."

That made the twins shiver, what is stopping them from doing that? The other goddesses, or will have to be the people who live there. That wasn't an easy answer. But they have their take right now.

"Blanc, we'll stand by you," Ram replied softly. "I know it might sour things with Neptune, but if she wants to use us as means to shine. We're better off with you. I know you can infuriate the hell out of me. But." She hugged her sister tighter.

"You love us so much. I know it was for us to become great goddesses. As you." Her eyes got missy.

Blanc smiled. "Yes, I'm sorry if I was hard on you two. But, I thought it was needed. For this is one job that needs to be taken seriously. Only now, we need to stick together."

Rom smiled. "Yes, maybe with Lastation."

Blanc giggled a little. "Now you're pushing me towards Noire. Make up your mind a little."

Rom pouted. "Please, Onee-chan. We didn't push you toward her, well … not completely at first."

Blanc closed her eyes and shook her head. "True, I guess our being attacked started it all: this alteration. Of our world." She opened her eyes.

Twins giggled, true. Things have changed with that one attack. Some good and bad.

Mina nodded with her eyes closed. She didn't need to say anything right now but knows that they have her support. Maybe with others in Lowee, for if they didn't. How would have White Heart recovered and won against Monita?

Mina opened her eyes to look at the window. "Please keep helping us, people of Lowee."

Her whisper might be soft but it carried her hopes for a peaceful future.

(Listen to Weight of the World by Keiich Okabe)

In Lastation, days after possible share detonation of Planeptune and Leanbox. In a chapel, one that was finishing up the funeral for Monita.

Noire stood in the pews with her sister. Both are dressed in black dresses. Their hair was in its normal style, only with fancier ribbons.

Blanc and her sisters by them. All wearing fancy dresses, each looking misty-eyed.

Not alone, Kei and Mina are also with them. Wanting to at least pay some respect to Monita. Also, with some of Monita's old co-workers. Wanting to pay their respects to her.

Maybe also sorry they didn't do more for her. As they heard her concerns with the goddesses.

Noire sent out a post for this funeral, while it was questionable what Monita did. There was no reason to stop people who wanted to pay their respects to her.

They followed the casket, carried by the pallbearers. Soon, it arrived outside to Be loaded into a car.

After a few minutes of driving, the group arrived at the cemetery. All going to spot where the casket would be buried.

Done with words by the preacher, they lowered the coffin into the ground.

Noire held a hand over her heart. Monita, I don't know about the afterlife. But I hope you resting peacefully. As with others who went before you, all hoping for a peaceful future in Lastation.

Uni is by Rom and Ram, all holding their hands. Misty eyed, still giving their respect for the woman who did so much for them. Good and bad.

The good part of bringing them closer to their sisters, helping them gain a new friendship. One that could be better than the ones they had. But the bad part is that needed showing. How Planeptune and Leanbox did things.

The revelation of the impurities. Of how much the people cared for their goddesses.

Uni gave a solemn nod at the place where Monita's body rested. She probably won't completely forgive the woman. But, she is thankful in some ways. Maybe saving their lives.

If the impurities sprouted when they were in Planeptune, once they got strong enough. How much time would they have, along with no way of stopping them?

Then came the other part. How much more would Neptune use her sister? While not impossible, soon or later, Noire could have snapped. Because there are times when Noire seemed so frustrated with Neptune. Driving her up the wall.

All because it seem they were friends. When in truth, Neptune was using her sister for her amusement. Even now, Neptune hasn't called or talked to them. Only Nepgear is keeping an eye on her with Histoire.

Trying to keep her from making any more mistakes. Along with Neptune blaming them for her failure at beating Monita, and the share detonation that almost took place.

The twins lowered their heads, not sure what to think about Monita. They do hate what she did to their sister and the other goddesses. But at the same time, she shows how neglected Neptune and Vert are. Showing that Vert might only be using their sister for amusement.

Stories have come out of Leanbox, saying how there was a bias against smaller-chested women. Not outright saying it, but it seemed to be there. As others have confronted Vert on this, getting their courage after learning about Monita.

Monita's co-workers have told her story, as people wanted to know about her background. Neptune and Vert weren't happy at this being exposed as it showed what they did. All because she talked back to them.

After a few minutes, some people left. Going their way, leaving the goddesses at the cemetery.

Noire sighed in melancholy, looking at the cemetery in a different spot. How much has she thought of this place? Not that much, not wanting to remember how many have died for her.

"A depressing site," a familiar voice replied.

Noire looked to see Blanc walking up to her. She didn't reply, not sure what to say.

Blanc stood by her friend, knowing not to push it. Give Noire her space, as herself when thinking about things.

The two goddesses looked at the cemetery. Both quiet.

Noire looked at Blanc, and said, "Blanc, are you going to keep your eyes on Planeptune? I … might have too. From what has been said about Neptune."

Blanc nodded. "I know we did have a war against everyone, but we need to watch ourselves. This can lead to a different war."

Noire nodded, because if Neptune doesn't get her head straight. It could lead to trouble. Maybe, they should have left her reverted. But they recovered it with all of them.

Trying to save everyone. Which it barely did, if it was later. There was a chance those inverters could have faded. She learned that Histoire was about to feed share to Neptune before the impurities stopped her.

A frown came to her face. Now it seemed that Histoire wanted to talk to her. She might ask Blanc about this later, but a part of her is starting to dislike that tome. Maybe it's because of learning how she only focused on Planeptune, not the others.

Granted, she didn't speak about her revert to them. Wanting to keep it a secret. Or could it be, that Histoire would only worry about Neptune and Nepgear? As she did see it as a new attack.

How can Histoire be neutral when staying at Planeptune, and not checking on the others?

Her cheeks burned, thoughts on her people. They are the ones who wanted to protect her, not Histoire. Along with Blanc as they faced this threat. Maybe, this change wasn't so bad.

"Noire," Blanc's soft voice said. "What are your plans for Monita's research? I know it might technically fall to Lastastion's protection when Monita handed that flash drive. But, will Neptune scream that it is hers?"

Monita did live in Planeptune years ago, probably giving up her citizenship. However, Neptune could make a case that she still owns that research.

Noire frowned. "If she does ask for it, we talk about it. But even so, we can agree on the information of the inverter takers need to be erased, hopefully forever."

Blanc nodded, these weapons need to stay gone. "Same, also." She looked at her friend. "I've heard you're improving your share system."

Noire smiled, so Blanc has been keeping tabs on her. That might not be so bad.

"I thought it is time to upgrade it," Noire replied with a smile, giving her hair a flip.

Blanc didn't smile or such but had a gleam in her eye. "Not a bad idea. Make it harder for someone to steal your share."

Noire stiffened a little, she got her. "Am I that easy to read?"

Blanc gave a small smile, looking at the sky. "A little, but after what Monita did. It is time to upgrade our systems. Make it where we're better protected from someone stealing our share. You never know."

Noire narrowed her eyes, thinking about a certain thing. Maybe it is time to ask about it.

"Blanc."

Blanc turned to look at Noire, that tone didn't sound good. "Yes."

"Have you ever felt a little weaker when in Planeptune or with Neptune?" Noire asked, her arms folded.

Blanc raised a brow, there were times she did feel that. She gasped and growled. "That bitch, she siphoned share from us, didn't she?"

Noire nodded. "I thought it was because of traveling to Planeptune. But it seemed odd when Uni had the same thing, almost when I was with Neptune. If not a glitch, then."

Blanc snared, that could be why Neptune seemed stronger, along with how she kept the impurities under control. She was using them to power herself.

Taking share away from them when close by, hiding it, outright would be noticed.

"That damn," Blanc growled, her eyes glowing red. "How long has that parasite been feeding on us? Breaking the treaty we have."

Noire frowned. "No telling, it could be that she was trying to keep the impurities at bay, as her share wasn't the best. Or because at times we bested her in the war."

Blanc clenched her fists, while they did have stalemates in the war. Leading to the peace now made. Each one of the goddesses did get one over the other.

She did pull a few with Noire and Neptune. As Noire did with her, it seemed Noire didn't hold too much of a grudge. As she let go of it, given she wanted peace.

"You're going to confront her on this?" Blanc asked tightly.

Noire shook her head. "Not now, maybe when I've known, I'm protected from any siphoning she could do. It could even be the reason why I had trouble in the fights with her. She was taking my share."

Blanc couldn't stop her growl. Didn't Neptune think of what could happen to Noire or her? They could have been killed, or she didn't care.

"So much for being good," Blanc said with disgust, seething at how Neptune is using them.

Vert might not be this bad. But still, she broke the treaty, causing harm to Noire and her. All for what? Just to play her games and be the star. It leaves a bad taste in her mouth.

Noire looked at the horizon, maybe this event was needed. To show the goddesses they have to respect their people and be weary of other things.

She will keep her distance from Neptune until she can't steal her share. Or not use her as entertainment.

That did bring up what Blanc wanted from her, sure she could forget it but.

"Blanc, when will." Noire blushed a little. "When will want to eat at Lubrani? I know you want to try it, as I … want to try some of Lowee's soups they have." She looked away, embarrassed to ask such a thing.

Blanc smiled with rosy cheeks. "When I find the time. Things will be busy for a while, but we can talk. To each other, find a time that works, also." She looked away a bit.

"I'm fine with you visiting Lowee. Long as you give a little heads up, and … don't mind the cold."

Noire smiled. "Please, I can handle a little cold. After all this, it is the least of my worries," she said softly.

"It sure is," Blanc muttered softly. Glad that Noire doesn't mind the cold of her country. Maybe she could like to see Lastastion more, as her new friend would hers.

The two didn't notice they are being watched by their sisters, each giving smiles at this site.

"Think we need to give them more time?" Rom asked softly, not sure if they should intrude on this moment.

"Let's give them a few more minutes," Uni replied with a smile, glad for those two. "We aren't in danger or have pressing matters. Let them enjoy this time together."

Ram nodded with her twin. But a gleam came to Ram's eye.

"Uni," Ram muttered, a chuckle coming from her.

Uni looked at her with a raised brow. "Yes?"

Ram snickered while waving a finger. "Don't forget your promise. We still want those pastries from Andy's. No backing out."

Rom gave her a look, knowing she is in on this.

Uni sweat-dropped. "Right, when we get the time. I'll take you."

Ram winked with a smirk. "We will, we will my friend. Even if we have to sneak out when Blanc is working, we'll be here."

Rom nodded with a sly smile. "Don't underestimate us. We can find ways of getting away from Onee-Chan if needed."

Uni only nodded, knowing how these two can be resourceful. Still, she'll call them more.

After all, they are her friends as Nepgear. Ones that helped save her precious sister.

One month and a half later, in Lastation. Noire's office.

The black-haired goddess is looking over documents, a little trip on memory lane.

Even if Monita's attack has passed, the aftershocks are still felt.

Noire thought of the monsters she modified. The monkeys are easy enough, most common.

Only added with another monster that used spikes. Such as porky, or clawed.

The big ones are mainly giant lizards but given the limbs of a stretcher. As she has faced those types before.

Lastly, that raccoon that started all this. Raccoons aren't that common. Along with it needed to be a rare one, capable of firing a beam, weak or solid. Probably why Monita only had one.

A saving grace, no telling what could happen if she had a group of them.

Then came the battle suits she made. While Planeptune could argue that is theirs and such, Noire is going a different route.

Exosuits, a lesser version of a battle suit. Not giving much in the way of power, but could help with loading, unloading, and building, such as one of Monita's battle suits made.

That brought a smile to her face, something that no one could reproduce as good. She did take some of Monita's notes on power distribution.

But, she did want to make exosuits, as they aren't as power-hungry.

She heard a knock. Looking at the time, a small smile came to the Lastation goddess. Today, Blanc should be visiting.

They found the time today. As they been so busy. With making policies and a new organization. Letting the people help in governing her country. Even Lowee is doing that.

While she could hide her smile, there was no reason to.

"Come in," Noire called out, hoping not to seem too eager to see her friend.

Kei opened the door, letting in Blanc.

"Thanks, Kei," Blanc said with a nod, as she passed the oracle.

Kei only nodded and walked off, leaving the two alone. The door closed behind Blanc.

Noire waved at the Lowee goddess, seeing the new look she sported.

While Blanc still wears a white dress and coat. There are some patches of red on the coat. The ribbon on her left leg has one part red.

She changed her hat to white and red. Her sandals are still the same.

Blanc waved back and stood by the door. "About ready to eat?"

This was the day when they decided to have lunch. As they've been busy. They still had their small talk. How they are doing, what's been going on. Even on what information they can share.

Which the two have enjoyed. Being a little competition with each other.

Noire nodded. "I'm just about done."

Blanc didn't say anything but could see the wardrobe change Noire has done.

Her hair is still in pigtails, only the ribbons are gold. Her dress was not as showy, covering her torso. It seemed business-like, a soft black with a white chest. On her hands are white gloves.

Her new skirt is a bit longer, black with two gold ribbons on the side. She had dark blue knee-length boots.

Noire finished and walked to the door. "Are your sisters here, Blanc?"

Blanc nodded, her sisters tagged along with her. "They wanted to hang out with Uni. I only hope they don't get stomach aches from eating too many of Andy's pastries."

Noire smiled a little, she knew about that place also. It was another place she liked to eat at with her sister.

"Uni should keep a lid on that. After all, she wanted a sandwich for lunch." Noire could tell that Uni wanted her to be alone with Blanc.

Not that she minds it.

Blanc raised a brow. "Long as she can handle those two, but." Blanc smiled. "I think Rom and Ram have matured a little. And learned not to overeat."

Noire shook her head, that is true. Even Uni has grown recently. Well, that is expected. The two silently walked off.

After a few minutes. They walked the streets toward the restaurant, taking in the sites. Well, Blanc was doing that. Wanting to get a feel of the place.

She did feel the buzz this city has, a drive to work. Different than her country, but similar. That want to do something.

Blanc smiled, thankfully they haven't been affected too much by the fallout of the impurities being learned.

Whereas Leanbox is slowly getting back on its feet. Vert is doing more work, with learning a little humility. She had learned not to mess with people who have no control over things.

Well, maybe Rom and Ram telling her off helped.

Whereas Planeptune's fate is not so good. They have been keeping an eye on it. Neptune hasn't made any aggressive moves, however, Nepgear has made a speech. Saying that they will make improvements. But, it landed on deaf ears.

For the people are fed up with the excuses. Leanbox got a bit of that too.

No longer trusting the Planeptune goddess and Histoire.

Blanc is also weary of the tome now. Sure she knows that Histoire helped run Planeptune as the other oracles. But when she could have helped Chika, where was it? Granted, their oracles could make the same choice, but they don't say their neutral.

Histoire did say that or is just siding with Neptune? That along with what that tome does only focuses on helping Planeptune.

Fine by her, she's proven to be reliant on herself, and her people. They did so much for her. Her family also helps her.

Then came Noire into the mix. Showing they can work together despite being rivals. Given how it helps each of them. That is something the Lowee goddess can be behind on.

Noire pointed at the restaurant, causing Blanc to snap out of her musing. To raise a brow at seeing the place.

"I thought it would be fancier," Blanc replied. While it was decent-sized.

It didn't have much decoration but had a homey look to it. A warm and inviting air, and that smell. It was so pleasing.

"Please don't start," Noire grumbled a little. "I know, we goddesses should be at fancy places and all."

Blanc looked at her. "Mare's soups aren't that fancy. A little older than this, but it is a family business. One I've gone to for years."

Noire stiffened a little. "Um, nice to know."

Blanc nodded. "Let's go, I'm hungry." She walked to the restaurant.

Noire couldn't stop her smile. Maybe that's where they'll have their lunch in Lowee.

After a few minutes, the two sat down at a table. It has a Nice carpet with soft music playing in the background.

The table is a little faded from use but clean with silverware.

Blanc looked over her menu, seeing all the different kinds of pasta. The carbonara looked nice, so why not. From what Noire has said in the hospital those months ago. It sounded good to try.

The waiter came, and asked, "Are you ready to order, Madams?"

Noire nodded. "I'll take the half-portion lasagna with an eggplant parmigiana."

The waiter sees Blanc raise a hand, showing she is ready to order.

"I'll have the carbonara with bacon, a side salad," Blanc ordered.

The waiter took their orders and left them.

Blanc looked at Noire with a raised brow. "Are you trying to keep Neptune away?"

Eggplants are what Neptune hates the most. Even the smell would make Neptune weak. Sure she doesn't hate them, only why is Noire ordering that?

Noire frowned. "I'm in the mood for them. Plus, they know how to get them just right. Nice and firm with the crust crispy. Neptune doesn't even come here.

"Not because of this, but for other reasons. I guess, she doesn't like pasta like me," Noire replied tightly, shrugging.

Even when Neptune visits, she never wants to eat at any of her favorite places.

Blanc tilted her head, sure Neptune loves to eat pudding but doesn't she eat anything else? Maybe not, she isn't that curious about what the Planeptune goddess eats.

Same as with Leanbox, she can't relax with it. Knowing how Vert is. It ruins her appetite. But here, it is nice and cozy. No wonder Noire likes it here.

The two talked a little about their plans, and how their share systems are coming along. Even talk about the exosuit.

Then came their food.

Blanc nodded with a lite blush. Her dish looked simple, but the aroma and the sauce looked delicious. She got a fork, got a portion, and brought it to her mouth. She tasted it and nearly moaned.

The noodles are melting in her mouth. The sauce has the right amount of pepper, balancing out the bacon. She got a bite of her salad, the dressing is a bit much for her. But everything else tastes wonderful.

Noire nodded at having a bite of her lasagna. The sauce is on point, and the noodles are done right. The right amount of cheese.

Then took a bite of her eggplant. It was nice and crispy, the eggplant she could taste, fresh as can be. A nice flavor and she likes to eat them now and again.

Blanc glared at Noire.

Noire looked back, frowning. "What's wrong? It isn't to 'your liking', Blanc?" She nearly growled.

"You should have let me come sooner," Blanc replied tightly, pointing at her. "I didn't think it was this good, you hoarder."

Noire giggled at Blanc's reply. "Not my fault you never visit Lastation. Besides, I'll probably say the same about Mares." She winked.

Blanc lost her glare. "True, once you try their cream chowder, it will warm you up. Or my favorite fruit type, a tangerine soup."

Noire nodded, she wasn't sure about eating at Planeptune. As it is mainly too sweet for her.

The two enjoyed their meal and this new friendship that they are making.

In the northern part of Lastastion. Uni is walking with her friends, Rom and Ram.

Each carrying their lunch and dessert.

Ram wanted to eat but is being led to a spot Uni wants to go. One she visits by herself or with someone.

Soon they arrived at the place. Benches with an overhead covering to help keep people cool while they sat down. Thankfully, it wasn't that hot.

The perfect weather to eat outside.

The twins gasped at seeing the place, you see Lastation in its glory.

"Uni, this site is amazing," Rom gushed at it. The site of things made it nice, with people walking around.

Even if it is a bit noisy.

Ram nodded. It is a nice site. "When you visit Lowee. We can show you our spot."

Uni looked at her with a smile. "Sure, I never really site see in Lowee."

The twins smiled. They do have their spots. They could show their places for snacks.

The trio sat down and started eating their lunch.

Ram enjoyed her sandwich, it had slices of ham and a few vegetables. The mayo helped. Even small, it's loaded. For there are a few fries in it.

Strange enough, a complete meal that could be eaten all at once.

Rom had her own with roast beef, wanting something a little stout. It was tempered by cheese and vegetables.

Uni giggled at her friends, they are having a little problem with their loaded sandwiches. Still, they seem to like them as herself.

Her sandwich had ham with pepper-jack cheese. A bit of mustard and mayo. Complete with vegetables. She felt the need for a little heat.

After they got done. They each had their cream puff, not the largest ones. But soft with vanilla cream.

Uni enjoyed hers, as for the twins. She could see them glowing. The cream puff is soft and sweet.

Uni looked at her friends again, thinking of how they'd changed with her.

Ram is now sporting a pink dress with a white shirt. Not needing her thick pink coat and hat, still carries her pink purse. Her pink shoes aren't as thick as her last ones.

Rom did have a blue hat on, and a beret. That had a white button on it. Her blue dress was a bit thicker than her twin's. Her thick coat was not with her.

She still has a blue purse. Along with trying to wear sandals like her older sister.

With them being taller, near tall as Blanc. Since they had grown, it was decided to get different clothes. Feeling the need for some change.

Uni wondered if that spooked Blanc, when seeing them get that tall.

Then again, she was shocked to find herself taller, about Noire's height. She changed her wardrobe. It is a black dress, it covered her torso.

It had hints of red on the chest with a bit of white. Signs of her chest getting bigger too, not as big as her sister's. But bigger than before. Her sleeves are black with fingerless gloves.

Her hair was still in pigtails, held by black and blue bows. Her shoes were similar to her last pair.

While she could wear the same dress as before, she wanted to change her style. As Noire did.

Ram looked at the group. Thoughts on what has occurred. While she didn't want her sister hurt as she was. But, the changes aren't so bad. They've saved people from a future share detonation.

Possibly giving Blanc a good friend. But at the cost of exposing Neptune's hidden side.

Maybe, it was needed. For how long would that last? Before something gave, as for her sister's new friend. While she didn't know what to think of Noire before.

But after the attack, seeing how she acted toward their sister. Showing how she cared for Uni and them. Then protecting Blanc in the fight against Monita.

Seeing Noire's soft side. As it was hidden for reasons. As Blanc did.

It made Ram realize why Uni loved her older sister.

Rom smiled, glad to have this peaceful moment with her loved ones. Uni has been keeping her promise to talk to them more.

Not that she wanted to hog the assistant goddess, but she is their friend too. Still, she is leery of Neptune.

For after the event of her near rampage, Neptune called out to Noire and Blanc, saying who let what happen to her.

A frown on appeared on Rom's face. That steamed her, after all. Didn't she see they risked their lives for her? Save people from getting killed. Or even speak to them without a resort.

Neptune, you had to blame us, Rom thought sourly. Sure she will take the blame for not protecting her sister from that raccoon.

But she tried her hardest to prevent it from happening again. Along with fighting in Planeptune, stopping those modified monsters. She didn't even ask if they were okay afterward.

She saw their wounds, or she never cared for them. Only putting a front on, to make her look caring. When it was an act, just to make her look good.

All the while, putting them in danger. Not only because of the impurities but draining them of share.

Uni did help them by giving share, it was different. She gave it of her free will, not take it as a thief.

Uni could see the looks on her friend's faces. "Penny for your thoughts?"

Rom sighed. "I'm angry at myself. Not seeing what Neptune is."

Ram looked away as if eating a lemon. "So much for being caring."

Uni rubbed her head. "We all got tricked. I guess when some act nice and playful. It can be an act of sorts, not noticing the signs.

"I should have seen them. I was close to Noire, noticing how much it hurt her. Neptune would brag, getting anything over her. Not one ounce of care. Despite spending time. Just using her as amusement."

The twins held Uni's hands. Giving her a soft smile.

"Don't be hard on yourself, Uni," Rom replied softly. "We're guilty too. Onee-chan also had been used by Neptune. Vert to an extent. We didn't want to bring those up because we didn't want to jeopardize the peace. But, it should have been brought up. Because if Neptune is allowed to run wild." She looked away.

Ram looked sad. "How many people would be hurt? The share detonation is in the works going on. Even when." Ram growled. "Neptune foolishly siphoned off our sisters. I don't care if it was to keep the impurities at bay. That is no excuse! At least Monita showed regret for harming our loved ones.

"Not to say that makes it right she attacked them. But, she was sorry to involve them in this. Because Neptune only cares about herself. Making everyone pay for her mistakes, nothing mattered to her. Now, it may be too late for Planeptune."

Uni nodded sadly. With the threat of war, Neptune was livid. Saying how they had no right to tangle with her country. Even when the reasons were given. But, the people who lived in Planeptune are starting to leave.

For they saw how unhinged Neptune is becoming, making it unsafe to stay. Then again, how much did they put up? Breaking the camel's back with her antics. While they didn't release the information about Neptune stealing share.

They know how dangerous she is becoming. Nearly attacking people who are helping, even screaming that Noire and Blanc helped Monita. When evidence mounted they were trying to stop her.

Complete with finding out that she nearly attacked Monita over being told off. Not showing any sympathy for her people who died.

Uni looked toward the sky. Nepgear, will you need to find a new place to call home?

If Planeptune does go under. What will happen to her friend? She could take her in, but what about Neptune? She might do something as it seems this event has unhinged her.

Being possessive of her sister in unhealthy ways. Saying how she should be there with her. Bringing the possibility that Neptune sees her sister as a piece to own. Along with Histoire.

Uni could snarl, after talking to Noire about the tome. Sure she helps, but it seemed that only when it involved Neptune. Maybe, it was best to be weary of her too. But for now, they have to keep moving and working on keeping the peace they have.

Even at the cost of taking on Neptune. For if she goes out of control, how many will suffer?

Uni looked at her friends, hoping they will stand by her side. Much as their sisters are doing.

In Planeptune, in the repaired tower of Neptune's home. Histoire looked out of the window to look at the city.

While most of the rubble has been cleared, places where buildings should be. Not many have been rebuilt. As people are leaving, maybe seeing no reason to start. Then again, Neptune hasn't helped.

Playing her games as before.

Histoire sighed. She did help in signing the forms and overseeing that the share crystal is recovering. But, it wasn't enough to fix it. They still have it weakened. Given that it takes time.

Only … Histoire shook her head. "This is the end unless things change. But, should it? Neptune isn't changing or will. Nepgear might turn the tide, but will she? Everyone is tired of putting up with this."

The tome looked at the tower, seeing things look normal. But still signs of the damage left. Sure they repaired things. Only enough to make it look passable. What Neptune barely does.

Historie heard steps, to see a tried Nepgear walking toward her. The candidate has been working hard to restore Planeptune and keep her sister under control. Both are taxing tasks.

"Nepgear," Histoire greeted.

Nepgear walked to stand by her friend. "Onee-chan is playing her game right now. She … hasn't let go of this idea of demanding stuff from Noire-san and Blanc-san. They already gave us enough to get on our feet. Only." She looked out the window.

Histoire frowned. Knowing that Neptune is starting to demand that those two give her stuff. While they should help, it becomes clear that it is more. She even noticed how Neptune wanted to have Noire around.

Nepgear could see that Histoire lowered her head. "Histoire-san, what's wrong? I know that Onee-chan wants to have Noire-san visit us. Talk about something, I would like to see how Noire-san and Uni doing. But."

She does call Uni, but not that much lately. They've been so busy. Uni is an assistant goddess, a new title, that is helping Noire.

Even Ram and Rom started doing more work with Blanc. Helping, learning how to run things. They also might become assistant goddesses.

While she would love to have her friends over. She sensed there was another reason Neptune wanted them here.

Histoire needed to tell Nepgear something, something she suspected for a long time. "I think, Purple Heart has been using Black Heart and White Heart to power Planeptune."

Nepgear looked confused. What is she talking about? Her eyes widened in realizing what that meant. "You can't mean, she was draining share from them. Histoire, you can't be serious." Her eyes looked at her friend, hoping this wasn't real.

Histoire looked at Nepgear, a cold look on her face. "I'm serious, Purple Sister. I've noticed how our share would rise at times. I thought that it was when Purple Heart fought monsters, taking out bosses. But there was something wrong with it.

"It was when she was with Black Heart, even with White Heart. When they weren't fighting. I." She shook her head. "Thought it didn't matter at the time. Thinking it wasn't important. But if their share was strong enough to help protect them from Monita's attacks. Transform their old inverters, don't you think it could help support another county."

Nepgear turned blue. "That … can't be right. Onee-chan broke the treaty with Lastation and Lowee. Taking share energy from them, doing it when close enough. It wouldn't be noticed easily. Not if she." She shivered.

While they could steal it from a share crystal directly, which is faster. They can drain from an unexpecting goddess if they are careful, it didn't get much. But if done slowly and long enough to do it. with keeping them off-balance.

"Onee-chan, how could you do that to them?" Nepgear whispered, her tone full of shock and rage.

Not only did it break the treaty, but it was also dangerous to Noire and Blanc. Even the other candidates could have been drained. Sure they couldn't get enough to power things, not unless the share getting drained was normal. But if Lowee's and Lastation's had an extra kick.

Did her sister know that? The way she teased Noire and Blanc, not only did she get a kick out of it. She kept them from noticing it.

The other reason why when she heard that Noire and Blanc are upgrading their share systems. Not only to protect them from any more attacks like Monita, even though she thought of doing that. But if it could be where they are better protected from this type of share drain.

They didn't have to worry about Purple Heart's attacks.

"This is too much." Nepgear braced against the wall, to stay standing. Her sister nearly doomed the Lastation and Lowee goddesses, all for her greed.

Histoire is ashamed. She should have looked into this, and seen what was going on. Maybe confronted Purple Heart, helped Black Heart, White Heart, or Green Heart more. Only, she chose to side with Planeptune. Thinking it was fine.

When it wasn't. No wonder they didn't trust her, maybe never. For she kept making excuses for Purple Heart when Planeptune falls. She'll go live somewhere else, even seal herself again. For there is no reason for her to be around.

She can keep the knowledge sealed. After all, she wasn't neutral or helping anyone.

Neptune giggled, playing her game. This is nice but knows she needs to get more share. Only, if she gets Noire to visit. Yeah, just have some fun with her. Get more shares, a loan, or payment for what happened to her.

After all, it worked before with them. Then things will go back to normal. Planeptune will thrive again. Bosses will fear her again.

She will be a shining star with her sister. As it will be once she gets some share.

Show everyone she is the best. No one will take that place, not even those losers from Lastation and Lowee.

In Leanbox, in Vert's home. In the restored share chamber. Vert let out a breath of relief. The group of humans is now leaving, after doing a deep scan on her share crystal.

Vert walked to look at the share chamber, rebuilt as many things in the past month. Thankfully, things aren't as bad as they could be.

Planeptune is in better shape, but how long until it dies? If Neptune tried to work, it could turn out differently. But, she shook her head.

Herself even is still being watched and is working to help fix her share crystal. She can fully transform now but still needed to be careful. It still is weak and will need more time to heal.

As for the group that left, it is a new one. One that formed to help do share crystal scans. Various people from Leanbox, Planeptune, Lowee, and even Lastation made it. While most are from Leanbox and Planeptune, knowing the dangers of a share detonation.

Sure she could turn them down but didn't do it. Showing that she'll cooperate with them. They got funding from Lowee and Lastation, surprisingly. She could see why those two decided to help them.

As they learned how to do deep scans from them, seeing the matching ways they've done them. Sure they might have conflicting ideals.

But if they needed to do, they would give up their citizenship status to their own countries. The ones who are from Planeptune and Leanbox would gladly give up, considering what nearly happened to them.

But they didn't. Keeping neutral whenever they do this around the scheduled timeframe. They even showed how lax she was. A hard pill to swallow.

The rule made for this was the goddess in charge of the country watches them. Make it where they will only do scans, nothing more. Not see their share level or any information on their systems.

Vert walked out, thinking about the fate of her country. While she isn't in too bad shape, she is barely recovering. All the comments about being mature, and well-endowed came back at her.

As Blanc's sisters did. Monita rallied others who didn't like her comments. Which is why they decided to leave, tired of that bias.

Then came to her shock how buddy Blanc is getting with Noire. The two seemed to get along with each other. She should let this be.

Even while trying to talk to Blanc about things, she spotted her sisters watching her. Showing they don't trust her anymore.

Then again, how much did she hurt Blanc? Teasing her about her body? To an extent, her sisters and Uni. Maybe that is why she was fixed on Nepgear.

Still, she might have to give sanctuary to Nepgear. Seeing the signs that Neptune is going off the deep end. Learning how she was taking Lastation's and Lowee's share right out from under them.

Neptune didn't seem to care about hers. Maybe because she noticed how much they matched. Either way, she needed to be on guard. If a war breaks out, she might have to choose a side.

More likely, Lastation's or Lowee's. They have the most support. Along with her fears of Neptune, for Nepgear's safety. For there is no telling what Neptune will do.

When she was reverted, it showed how much Neptune cared for things. Sure she didn't know who Nepgear was or what she meant to her. Thinking about it, she only saw a person who might help.

Being lost with no idea what was going on. Only for Neptune to demand pudding, fighting them for such a petty reason.

She did brag of having Nepgear help her. But, it was nothing to laugh at now. Chika warned her about Neptune's possible unhinged nature. Which is being shown more clearly, or no longer can be overlooked.

As her behavior. Teasing Blanc over her body … she enjoyed it. Being superior to the Lowee goddess.

"How mature am I?" Vert questioned herself, walking to her office. That question started popping out.

She went along with Neptune pushing her to Blanc. Sure Neptune teased Blanc, but could it be that she wanted to keep Noire to herself? Keeping the Lastation goddess isolated.

Preying on her weakness.

Vert lowered her head. "Noire, Blanc, I'm sorry. I'm bad as Neptune. I might never make it up to you. I've just gone along with this. Not thinking about the harm, I was doing. Sorry."

Vert's heart is heavy. When all was said and done, she wasn't that mature. Just a person who loved to bully.

For that, she'll be more mindful of her actions. She will survive this new era, but it will be a hard road for her.

Sadly, she can't see any hope for Planeptune. For it has begun its slow demise. Not unless Neptune learns to change. Which, she can't see it happening.

As for her thoughts on Histoire, she is skeptical of her now. For in her time of need, she didn't do anything to help. She even might've gotten Chika killed. If she called Chika, help in reconnecting her to share. It could've helped, but instead.

Noire and Blanc saved her. Even willing to sacrifice themselves for Leanbox and Planeptune. That tome wants to save Planeptune, then she can do it. For that's all she ever did.

She might not have Histoire live here. Not trusting her anymore, unless by other means. She will help the candidate if needed.

It might be selfish, but she can't leave her alone. Nepgear didn't deserve to sink with her disturbed sister.

The alteration has come, and there is no way to stop it. No matter what Neptune wants. For it is what has come for them all.

Some get the good part of it, with others get the bad parts. This new era has begun.

One that the goddesses of Gamindustri have to share with their human subjects. For they both live in this world.

The end.

A/N Read and review. That is the end of this story, I hope all read it. Enjoyed it, and like my other story, I'm going back to on.
