An average person falls asleep within 7 minutes.
Nozomi knows this because she read it in one of the lovely and innumerable books she used to read and that accompanied her in her childhood, helping her to feel less alone whether it was at school or at home.
She's pretty sure Honoka or Kanata fall asleep even in less than that. Eli, on the other hand, takes more than 20 minutes until she finally falls asleep.
Nozomi can only sigh as she watches the blonde next to her in bed toss and turn around for what it feels the nth time of the night. She knows very well about the blonde's fear of darkness but even with the dim light of the nightstand on, Nozomi still feels bad for her.
She watches her patiently, observing Eli turning around once again, moving restlessly until her head comes to meet her shoulder. Eli finally seems to calm down, resting her head completely on her shoulder while her arms find her waist and surround it to pull her into a hug, causing Nozomi to smile briefly, before she feels Eli moving around uncomfortably once again.
The blonde's head then finds her chest and rests on there more comfortably, just above her heart to listen to its soothing beating while tucked under her chin, finally falling asleep.
Nozomi giggles at how cute her girlfriend can be and wraps her arms around her, hugging her tightly, before she closes her eyes to quickly follow her into dreamland, the both of them with a happy and peaceful smile on both of their faces.
Eli takes more than 20 minutes to fall asleep. She's not like an average person, but that's exactly why Nozomi loves her so much.
