"You ready, Gon?" Killua shouted at his friend from across the field they stood on.
Alluka stood safely to the side, watching intently. She was very excited to see Gon's new technique in action.
"Yeah! Here it comes!" Gon shouted back, the energy in fist shining brightly, ready to be launched.
The week was just about to end, as the day of their battle was the day after tomorrow. Killua had decided that it would be better to take Sunday off for all of them to rest. That way, they would be in top fighting shape on Monday.
Therefore, the group had sworn to train vigorously today.
"Super!" Gon shouted out. His aura converted from an amber orange colour to a lighter yellow and dark gold as the conditions set themselves in.
Killua activated his ten, looking fairly calm.
"Jan! Ken! Paper!"
The energy beam stretched out from Gon's palm before rapidly approaching Killua. Alluka clenched her hands together with bated breath, watching the beam strike her brother.
The Ja-Janken mixed itself with Killua's aura, similarly to how chocolate would mix itself with milk, corrupting it and eventually enveloping his whole body before the aura took on a spikey form, the spikes moving up to Killua's head.
Overall, it looked like Killua had gone into ren, but his aura was moving in slow motion as well as it being covered in the golden light.
"Killua! Try moving, okay?" Gon instructed.
Killua however, was still. Not a single hair on his head moved. Nor did his eyes or mouth. He remained like that for 30 seconds before Gon proceeded to speak once more.
"Go into zetsu!"
Killua felt all his nodes closing with zero effort, causing the golden energy surrounding him to dissipate into the air almost instantly.
"Looks like it works just fine." Killua smirked, prideful in having helped create this technique.
"All right!" Gon shouted in victory, jumping into the air with his fist pumped up.
"Looks like you're all set for our battle." Killua said, approaching him. "How do you feel?"
"Not too bad! It did drain a little more energy than the usual Ja-Janken, but not by much." Gon responded. "How did it feel for you?"
"I couldn't move anything in my body." Killua informed them. "It allowed me to breathe but that was it."
"Awesome!" Alluka shouted, approaching. "This is gonna help you beat Goku right?" She asked in a hopeful tone.
"Probably not beat…" Killua shook his head. "But it could help us punch him." He turned to Gon, who was momentarily stunned by his pessimistic friend considering it a possibility. "Dibs, by the way."
"Wait, what?!" Gon squeaked in protest. "No fair! I wanna punch him first!"
"Sorry~! You're too late." Killua teased, a smug grin on his face. "Besides, part of the condition is that you can't move while your opponents are trapped. I'm the only one who CAN do it, given the situation."
He grumbled angrily, then cried out when Killua flicked his forehead. He turned back to his sister, continuing from his conversation.
"Even with both techniques, the chances are still slim. It all hinges on Gon being able to distract Goku for long enough as well as trap him."
"I can, and I will!" Gon said, resolute.
"Hold on." Alluka interrupted, turning to Killua. "Didn't you tell me that your technique was gonna give you crazy amounts of speed? Why would you need Gon's Ja-Janken to hold him in place?"
"Cause we don't know if the speed I get will be enough." Killua wandered, sounding slightly frustrated at the admittance.
Alluka's eyebrows furrowed at that, slightly conferenced and impressed. "Is he really THAT fast?"
"You saw what he did to us in our first spar." He reminded her.
Gon lightly hit the ground in frustration. "He looked like he was barely putting any effort into blocking or dodging my attacks. And the way he vanished so easily…"
"Yeah." Killua sighed. "There's no way we were forcing him to use even half his strength."
"So that's why you want to make sure he can't move right? To have a higher chance?"
"Pretty much."
Alluka scratched her head, feeling slightly sad that they have the harder end of the deal. "Glad I don't have to worry about that…"
Killua barked out a laugh while scratching his chin tiredly. "You said it. All you have to do is just show him how much stronger you've gotten." Killua said, patting her head.
"Speaking of, how are you doing with your aura?" Gon peered at her curiously.
"Great!" Alluka perked up. "Killua says I only have 15 more nodes to open." She declared, excited.
"That's really good, Alluka! Are you gonna get them all done today?" Gon complimented.
"You bet! And if I have time today and tomorrow, I wanna take that water test you two told me about."
"The water divination test?" Killua clarified.
"Yuh huh. I wanna see my nen type! I hope it's good!" Alluka chirped.
"Most nen types usually suit the user's personality." Killua mentioned. "Whatever it ends up being, I think you're gonna end up liking it."
Alluka's eyes twinkled hopefully at that fact.
"Are you aware of every Nen type and their results in the water divination test?" Killua asked her.
The young girl brought a thumb up to her chin, pondering before informing them of her answer.
"There are five types, right? Enhancers, transmuters, specialists, Emitters, and Manipulators." She listed. "Right?"
"There's actually six types. You forgot about conjurers." He reminded her patiently.
"Oh yeah! Sorry." She grinned nervously.
"It's alright." He reassured her. "Now what were their results?"
"Umm…" Alluka's eyes furrowed, before shaking her head in disappointment. "I dunno…"
"Wait." Gon interrupted. "I don't think we taught her about that yet."
"Huh?" Killua looked at him, before his eyes widened in realisation. "Oh. Yeah."
Killua smacked himself lightly on the head. "Yeah I forgot we hadn't gone into that with you. My bad."
"I don't think we have to tell her that NOW though, do we?" Gon pointed out. "I mean, what good would having her know that be if she's not gonna take the test?"
Killua looked back at his friend before nodding, scratching his hair. "Good point." He turned back to his sister. "We'll teach you about it after you unlock all of your nodes and are about to take the exam, alright?"
"Sounds good to me." Alluka nodded. "Is it okay if I focus today on unlocking the last of my nen nodes?"
"That's alright." Killua approved, a mischievous gleam in his eye. "But before that, why don't we have a quick exercise with those weights, huh?"
Her pout and slumped position were priceless to watch. "Do we HAVE to?"
"It's just one last time, Alluka." Killua waved nonchalant. "Sides better to get it over with now that way you can focus the rest of the day on meditation."
She huffed, before nodding. "Fine. Let's get going then."
The three of them went over to retrieve their respective bands, Killua turning to Gon before he put his first one on.
"You go ahead and warm up. I'm gonna train Alluka for a bit, okay?"
"Got it!" He grinned giving a thumbs up. "Let me know when you're ready to join me."
Gon bounced off, ready to begin his training, while the two siblings put their bands on.
"Remember to sit down while putting them on, that way the weight of it doesn't make you fall down." Killua reminded his sister, as he activated his ren before standing back up.
"Okay." Alluka responded to him, groaning as the full weight of the bands pulled her body to the ground.
She took a deep breath, focusing inwardly and let a small smile escape her lips as steam began to emanate from her, filling her body with power.
With so few nodes opened in the beginning, the weights had given her quite a bit of trouble. She was only really able to do a few minutes of light exercise. Now though, with nearly her full aura at her disposal, The weight didn't seem nearly as heavy as the first time around.
She remembered squealing in delight the day she had activated enough nodes for her aura to finally be visible to her. With the recommended method, Killua and Gon had been correct when they had told her that controlling her aura would be that much easier to turn on and off.
She stood up slowly, hearing a small pop come from her knees.
"What do we do first, bro?"
"Let's just do some stretching for a few minutes and then we can see where we go from there, alright?"
Seeing his sister nod, the two siblings began their warm ups, making sure to stretch each of their limbs for several seconds, all the while maintaining their aura.
A few minutes later, they both finished
"This 'huff' still tires me out a little…" Alluka said, slightly disappointed in herself. "At least it's not as bad as when I started."
"Ha. Yeah." Killua grinned, "I don't think you lasted more than 10 minutes. Good thing most of your aura is helping you out." He said, kneeling beside her. "Not just that, but you've gotten a lot stronger too this week."
"Yeah!" Alluka spoke proudly. "Even without my aura, I really noticed a difference in my performance whenever you train me. I can't wait to go all out against Goku!"
"That's nice to hear." He chuckled. "Big difference from when we first asked you. Remember how nervous you were?"
"That was before I got these super cool nen powers!" Alluka gushed. "It's only natural that I'd wanna test 'em out!"
"Oh yeah. Of course." Killua nodded. "We'll, guess we better see what you've got. We'll do some light sparring alright? Nothing too serious, I'll block. You punch. Sounds good to you?" He asked, lightly punching his right palm with his left fist.
"Yeah!" Alluka said. "I… umm I probably won't last too long though."
"Don't worry about it." Killua shrugged. "Just do your best."
"Right!"
The two siblings backed away from each other for only a few inches, both of them taking a battle stance.
"Ready?" Killua asked.
Alluka only nodded, a concentrated look etched onto her face.
"Alright then… Begin!"
The younger of the two began sluggishly exchanging punches and kicks at a slow pace, trying to maintain her breathing and her energy so that she didn't tire quickly.
"You forgot to pivot." Killua reminded, while blocking one of her kicks.
Alluka quickly readjusted herself before going back at it again, gingerly throwing punch after punch and kick after kick.
"Your technique has gotten a lot better." Killua observed, moving to the side of one of her punches. "Good work on pulling your attacks back fast."
"Thanks!" Alluka smirked proudly. "It's so people don't grab my limbs, right?"
"Yep." Killua nodded. "I mean, unless you WANNA be thrown around like a rag doll."
"You drive a hard bargain, big brother..." Alluka fake pondered. "I think I'll pass though."
The two siblings chuckled as they carefully continued sparring.
"Do you guys feel ready for your big fight?" Alluka gave a concerned look as she attempted a right hook. "It's gonna be a lot harder than mine."
"About as ready as we can be." Killua sighed. "Considering the huge gap in power between the two of us and him, I'm just trying not to have any expectations."
Killua ducked under a slow roundhouse kick, Alluka wiping sweat off her forehead after her foot touched the ground.
"Are you nervous?"
"Not really." Killua shrugged, sidestepped a sidekick and gently redirected it with his palm. "Sure me and Gon are gonna be going all out, but it's nothing too serious. We're basically just showing how much we've improved."
Killua smiled at her reassuringly. "Honestly it's kind of relaxing being here. It feels like we're on some kind of vacation."
"Mh." Alluka hummed in agreement.
A few minutes into the training, Alluka suddenly found herself collapsing, her body producing less aura than at the beginning.
Killua sat down beside her, placing an arm on his knee. "Okay. I guess that's enough for now."
Alluka looked up at him pleadingly, causing Killua to roll his eyes.
"Yes, you can go meditate now."
Grinning, she took off the restraints as quickly as she could. As soon as the last one had fallen to the ground, she somersaulted into the air a good distance away and continued to jog to a new spot.
"I'll show you my progress later at dinner, okay? Have fun training with Gon!"
"We will!" He waved his hand as he stood up and began heading toward Gon for a sparring match.
'She's really put a lot of effort into training this week.' Killua thought proudly. 'If she manages to unlock the rest of her nodes today, maybe Gon and I can give her the water divination tomorrow.'
Since tomorrow was their rest day, Killua had figured that it would be good to take it a bit easier. It gave them ample time to find out what Nen affinity Alluka had, as well giving him the chance to learn about which part of the world would have an available thunderstorm in order to activate his ability.
Maybe he would have Gon take them to Gohan and Videl's house.
'They can help us check the forecast and we can thank Videl for the weights.' Killua thought to himself. It would also be a good opportunity to meet his friend's teachers, having been curious as to what Gon's time with them was like.
Goku, Gohan, and Videl flew through the air at high speeds, their hair blown so far back not a strand of it remained on their forehead.
"How's the tournament prep going, dad?" Gohan asked his father.
"Great!" Goku turned his head to answer his son. "Me and Mr. Satan went over to check it out yesterday. It was just about finished!"
"Honestly I think it's a great idea." Videl added in. "I'm honestly kinda nervous though. I don't think I'll make it past the first round."
"Honey…" Gohan frowned at his wife's comment.
"Don't worry about that." Goku told Videl. "Just focus on doing your best and having fun! No one's gonna mock you if you do badly. If anything, I respect your will to fight!"
"Thank you, Goku…" Videl turned her head down, bashfully at Goku's comment.
Gohan smiled as his gaze lingered on his father, appreciative for lifting his wife's spirits.
He deeply admired the way he could make people feel special and happy without lying or exaggerating. Despite growing up isolated from society, he was surprisingly good with words, probably helped by his refreshing honest personality and friendly demeanor.
"Hey, alright! We're finally here!" Goku's grin widened at the sight of Capsule Corps.
The three of them landed softly on the grass before approaching the house, Goku taking the lead and knocking on the door.
"Yo, Bulma! It's us!" Goku called out.
Eventually the door opened, a blue haired woman peeked her head out before fully revealing herself, a fond smile on her face.
"Well, look who it is!" Bulma said, practically pulling him into a hug. Goku placed his firm hands on her shoulders, returning the show of affection.
"It's been way too long!" She noted, fake frowning a little as she softly punched him in the chest. "How come you didn't say hello to me when you visited Vegeta?"
"Oh um… Vegeta told me you were busy with some kind of project…"
This caused the woman to roll her eyes. "Please. You know I can always make time. Plus the project wasn't even that hard." Bulma bragged before pulling away.
"Then again, you were probably busy making preparations for that tournament Vegeta told me you set up. How's that going by the way?"
"Real great! Me and Hercule are actually almost finished up." He chirped.
Bulma separated herself from him in order to greet the other two. "Gohan! Videl! How's married life treating you?"
"Everything's great so far." Videl grinned, linking her arm with Gohan's.
"Glad to hear!" She said motioning inside. "Don't just stand there, come in! I'll have mom make something to drink!"
The group made their way inside toward the table.
"Vegeta's been training Trunks like crazy since you told them about the tournament, you know." She mentioned casually, three out of the four taking their seats. "Today Trunks managed to convince him to let him go to your house. Said he'd train with Goten."
"Oh alright. So is Vegeta in the gravity room?" Goku inquired.
"Nope. He's waiting for you to come outside to some waste land he picked out for you two to beat the crap out of each other." She sighed dramatically. "If only he'd be as animated to go shopping with me. Or pick spots for us to have a picnic or something."
Goku smiled wryly, not surprised and excited to be able to spar with his rival.
"Well, we better not keep him waiting then." Goku chuckled as he began heading out the door, turning back to his son and Videl. "You two wanna come?"
The couple shared a look, processing the question. "You up for it?" Gohan asked.
Videl nodded, "Sure!" She turned back to Bulma. "I gotta get my exercise in. I probably won't last very long considering who I'm up against. As soon as I've had my fill, I'll come back here and help you make lunch."
"That sounds perfect." Bulma winked. "In that case, let me call him so he knows you're here. He'll power up so you teleport to him."
Taking out a phone, she tapped in the numbers easily before holding it up to her right ear. The phone only rang once before they found her in contact with her husband.
"Hello to you too, Honey…" She huffed. "Yeeees. He's here. I know you're excited for your playdate but have some patience! Yeah, Yeah. Come back here when you're done. I'll have lunch ready. Ok~. Loooooooooooooooove Youuuuuuuuuuuuuu~!"
She giggled evilly as she put her phone back into her pocket. "Prince of all Saiyans… More like the Prince of all Tsunderes!"
Turning to the three, she joined their laughter as they sort of got the jist of what he said. "Vegeta is still as easy to rile up as ever, huh?" Gohan said, good naturedly.
"Don't you know it?" She winked. "You guys better get going then. I'll put the drinks in the fridge after mom makes them."
"Thanks Bulma!" Goku said, heading out the door and charging into the sky. "We'll be back in a few hours!"
"Wait up dad!" Gohan called out as he chased after him. "See you Bulma!" He said, waving as he flew away.
"Thank you Mrs. Briefs!" Videl said next, before taking off.
"Don't kill each other!" Bulma cried out jokingly, waving.
The three ascended a little into the air before stopping, Gohan and Videl holding onto Goku's shoulders while he sensed Vegeta's energy.
It didn't take very long for Goku to open his eyes up, smiling. "Gotcha. He must be extra grumpy today." He turned to his two companions. "Hang on tight ok you two?"
"Right." they both nodded.
Closing his eyes once again, he focused on the energy again, this time easier due to him knowing where it was. Then, within the blink of an eye, they left the area they were in.
"Took you long enough."
Almost as soon as they appeared at their next destination, a rough voice proceeded to comment on their lateness with their tone suggesting that the individual was very pissed off.
"Heya, Vegeta! Bulma sure has you on a leash!" He chuckled, making the older saiyan groan in embarrassment.
"What are you two doing here?" he said, eying the couple behind Goku.
"Aww… Didn't you miss us, o great prince?" Videl asked, snarkily.
Now if anyone asked Videl if there was anyone within Gohan's group of friends that intimidated or scared her, she would immediately answer you that it would be Vegeta.
Piccolo also scared her a little at first but now she knew him very well, making her more than confident enough to trust to be around him without batting an eye.
The man gave off such an intense feeling of confidence and power, that she honestly couldn't help but hide behind Gohan a little the first time she properly met him. (Though if you asked her about that she would quickly deny it, without hesitation.)
Now, while still intimidated by his gruff attitude, Videl was a little more accustomed to him. Enough to at the very least not take his attitude without some snarky reply. Besides, while she knew he would never actively try to kill her, Gohan would always have her back.
Not to say that Videl saw him as a bad person, but the guy seriously had to cool his jets sometimes.
If there was one thing she liked about the big grump it was, funnily enough, something that he shared with his rival Goku. That being their, (sometimes eye twitching), honesty.
The main difference between the two was their wording of said honesty. Goku came off as if he was merely stating a fact, not really trying to offend or please any one.
Although if he noticed the other person was offended, he would at least have the decency to apologise.
Vegeta's gruff tone made it sound a little more like an insult and as if he was trying to put the person down. Videl however had come to realise that the two are almost exactly alike when stating what they thought, only that Vegeta was more vulgar. Also when he finds out he offended someone, he doesn't bat an eye.
The prince scoffed at her comment, "Are you ready to begin training Kakarot?" He said, quickly moving on.
"Sure! You know, next time let's invite everyone over! We can have a huge family training session. You, me, Gohan, Videl, Trunks and Goten!" He said walking over and playfully nudging him while winking. "Not Bulma or Chi-Chi, though… the fight probably wouldn't last as long if those two joined in."
Vegeta turned and struggled to contain a smirk. "Hmph."
He then rose into the air with Goku following in short order. "You two are sure you're joining us?" Vegeta asked, eyeing Videl specifically.
Husband and wife joined them, Videl glaring right back. "Got a problem with that?"
Closing his eyes, he didn't bother hiding his smile this time. "Well if there's one thing I can say about you it's that you at least have more fighting spirit than your husband."
He turned to Gohan, who was sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. "You could learn a thing or two from her, brat."
"Aw man. Cut me some slack. I'm still keeping up with my training aren't I?" Gohan, groaned. "Speaking of training, are you ready for your fight with Gon and his friends, dad?"
"Oh definitely." He said, pumped up. "They have a lot of potential for just being humans. Especially with how young they are. I can't wait to see how much progress they made this week!"
No doubt that right now, even as they spoke, the three children were training with everything they had. Goku was sure of it.
Sweat dripped down Killua and Gon's bodies as they traded rapid blows toward each other, Their ren clashing hard enough to make sparks of plasma fly in the air.
Several small craters littered the ground they stood on, made more noticeable by their shadow produced by the sunset.
Eventually, both of them backed off, jumping back into a stance, before allowing their bodies to relax.
Killua grabbed his knees, gasping for air. Gon fell to the ground in exhaustion, both of their aura just barely coming out anymore.
"Okay…" Killua said, beginning to remove his weights, "I think that's enough for today…"
Gon could only nod, his body no longer producing ren. He laid on the floor with dreary eyes, almost unable to move now with the full weights on him.
Killua sighed, feeling relieved now that he had removed the bands from his body. "You should take those off before relaxing." He pointed out. "It's only gonna be an even bigger pain in the ass if you don't get it over with."
Groaning, Gon sluggishly took off his bands, only being able to activate ten, at that point.
"On the bright side…" Gon finally spoke, "I think we've made a massive improvement today. Every time I take these off now, my whole body feels lighter than paper."
Killua nodded in agreement, before he began to head off toward Alluka.
Before he even took his third step though, the little girl came barreling toward him, sending both of them to the ground.
"Killua! I did it!" She cried out, ecstatic. "I finally unlocked all of them!"
Killua shook his head to catch his bearings, before processing what his sister had said. The news made him grin broadly, as he caressed her head.
"That's great! Did you finish just now?"
"Oh no." Alluka said, shaking her head. " I actually did it one and a half hour ago. But you two were really into your training, so I just played a little while I waited for you."
"Ah." Killua nodded in appreciation. "We appreciate that."
"Anyway, can I take the water divination test tomorrow?!" She asked, ecstatic.
"Sure." Killua said, thinking it to be a good idea. "We'll go over to Gohan and Videl's house tomorrow and we can get a glass there. Sound good?"
"Yeah! That's great! I really wanna thank them for Gon's birthday gift. This was really sweet of them." She cheered. "You and Gon are heading into the city later though, right?"
"That's right. There should be more than enough info on the weather to find our ideal spot."
"You two are gonna have to fight him in the rain." Alluka said worriedly. "Your clothes are gonna be all soggy. You'll probably get sick too."
"Ye of little faith."
"I'm serious bro!" She said, puffing her cheeks.
"I know, I know." He waved playfully. "Relax. If we're lucky, I might be able to find a regular old thunderstorm, one with no rain included."
"Is that possible?" Alluka's face scrunched up suspiciously.
"It's called a dry thunderstorm." Killua explained. "Basically what happens is that the precipitation evaporates before it gets the chance to reach the ground."
"Huh…" Alluka looked surprised by the fact. "That's cool! That way you guys won't get wet, right?"
"I still might." Killua shrugged. "I have to get really close to the clouds for a better chance to get struck."
"Oh. Do you want me to bring a towel for when you guys are done?"
"Nah don't worry about it." Killua smiled. "After I transform, my aura should be hot enough to dry me right up."
"Oh! Right! Cuz of the electricity, right?"
"Mmhmm. Wait." Killua held up his finger. "I'm gonna need to be in Godspeed for one of the conditions, so I might not even get wet at all."
Alluka nodded, her face brightening up. "I'll get to watch, right?"
"Duh…" Killua stated, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I want you to brag about us. Can't really do that if you don't see us in action."
"Especially when we punch him on the face." Gon came up from behind them, stating as though it were fact.
"Don't get your hopes up." Killua warned. "Considering just how much he was holding back, I wouldn't be surprised if we failed to lay a finger on him." He nodded to himself.
"I do think our techniques will catch him off gaurd, but there's still just too much we don't know about him or his abilities. I'm just saying we're likely going to fail."
"Think positively, Killua!" Gon chastised.
"Alright." Killua said, giving a deadpan stare. "I'm POSITIVE, we're gonna fail."
"Ugh…" Gon shook his head in disappointment. Alluka giggled behind her brother.
"You walked into that one." Alluka snarked. "But I do kinda see your point. I mean, how could anyone hit someone who can move super duper fast AND teleport?"
"He can't teleport freely though." Gon reminded the group. "Remember? I think he told us once that he has to concentrate on an energy signature to be able to do that."
"Oh yeah…" Alluka muttered. "But, then, isn't that better though?"
"How so?" Killua looked at her, confused.
"I mean, if he was being overwhelmed or chased, All he'd have to do is find a place to hide, concentrate, and then pop! He's gone."
"It is a possibility," Killua thought, mulling it over. "Assuming he could get away, it would be a very handy trick to retreat… Although that is assuming he has someone to lock on to."
"Maybe after the fight, you guys can create a nen technique to let you do that!" She suggested.
"Well I dunno about him." Killua jabbed, Gon puffing his cheeks in offence. "And Maybe not the exact same as Goku's, but I have always been kinda into the idea of making an ability to teleport."
Killua had especially been interested in Knov's ability, during their war with the Chimaera Ants. Getting a whole pocket dimension to hide in was honestly just way too cool to pass up. He had been wondering if he perhaps could make something similar…
"I could totally make one too!" Gon crossed his arms, hiding a smirk at his friend's teasing.
"Right. You. Who had trouble coming up with an IDEA, for a technique." Killua snorted.
Seeing the evil eye his friend was giving him, Killua rolled his eyes. "Given enough time though, I GUESS you might be able to come up with something. Probably. You're stubborn like that after all."
"Hmph!"
"Welp. I dunno about you guys but I'm pretty beat today. Gon, stay with Alluka, ok? I'll go see what's for dinner." Killua instructed, heading toward the woods.
Gon plopped himself next to Alluka, both children taking in the fresh air around them, as well as the sunset.
"Congratulations on getting all of your nen!" Gon smiled tiredly at Alluka. "How does it feel?"
"I'm honestly so happy to finally have it all activated! When that last aura node popped open, I was like, 'Finally!'!" Alluka giggled. "Nen feels a lot more different than what I thought it would…"
"Oh yeah?" Gon inquired.
Alluka nodded, raising her hand and allowing the aura to rise from it. "I thought it would feel like fire. But honestly, it feels more like a river. Like, when you're inside of a body of water and it just… flows past you."
She turned to him, bashfully scratching her cheek. "Does that make sense?"
"Oh yeah. If anything, that's exactly how I'd describe it!"
"Really?"
"Yeah! In fact I said something similar when I first got mine."
Alluka grinned at the seeming coincidence, thinking how cool it was that her and Gon thought alike.
"I can't wait to see what my aura affinity is tomorrow." She said, eagerness lacing her voice.
"Do you have any preferences?" Gon asked, placing an arm on his knee.
Alluka took a moment to think about that. That was a good question…
"Hmm. Well if I got to choose…" Alluka dragged on. "I guess I would want one of the ones you two have, or Emission."
"Huh. Really? Why those three?"
"Cuz if I get one of the first two, you two would be able to teach me more effectively." She explained. "As for Emission… I honestly just thought that shooting aura at people would be kinda cool."
"Those are good choices. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, right?"
"Yup!" She chirped.
The two of them continued to wait until eventually, Killua brought back a rather large bounty. Carrying it back to their campsite, the three kids finished their meal and went to sleep, all of them eager for tomorrow and for the day they would test themselves against Goku.
Training week has been complete!
Next time on Dragon Hunter ZX, We're gonna get to see Alluka's fight with Goku, as well as the three just kind of hanging out the day before the battle. Its gonna be a slightly shorter chapter that way we can move on to the main dish that is, Killua and Gon vs Goku!
I'm honestly SO pumped to finally write these characters fighting. Its the whole reason I started this story to begin with! The ideas I had of them fighting have evolved beyond what I was expecting!
As for Gon and Killua's fight with good ol' Goku, I decided I'm gonna dedicate an entire chapter to that. hence my decision.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and I hope you have a lovely day! Chao for now!
