Hanging with Friends

It's been over three months since Stan and his friends moved to the Paldea Region and enrolled at Naranja Academy. They have learned so much about Pokemon during their time there. Their desire to become Pokemon trainers really motivated them into putting all their focus on their studies. During classes, they made sure to pay extra attention to what their teachers had to say. At night when they're at their homes, they did a lot of extra studying. It was close to Stan's bedtime one night. He was studying Pokemon Abilities for a quiz that they had coming up the next day when his mom opened his bedroom door.

"Stan. It's almost time for bed, so you should really be getting ready." said Sharon. Stan looked at the clock on his new Rotom Phone that he got a month ago and was surprised that it was already close to his bedtime.

"Wow. I must've been really been focused on my studying. I didn't even notice the time." said Stan. He closed his school book, turned off his desk lamp and went to the bathroom to get ready for bed. He started with a nice hot shower. As he showered, he looked back at when he and his friends first arrived in Paldea. "I can't believe that so much has happened since we left South Park and came here. Who would've guessed that we'd be enrolled at an academy learning about super-awesome creatures we never knew existed. I hope me and my friends get Pokemon soon. It will be so awesome!" Stan thought to himself. After he showered, he brushed his teeth, got into his pajamas, and climbed into his bed. His mom stopped in and kissed him good night.

"Good night, sweetie. I love you." said Sharon.

"Thanks, Mom. I love you, too." said Stan. After that, Sharon left the room and Stan drifted off to sleep. At the Broflovski residence, Kyle was sitting at his desk in his new pokeball pajamas, reading and taking notes when he looked at his Rotom Phone and saw it was nearing his bedtime.

"I think that's enough for tonight." said Kyle. He turns off his desk lamp, climbs into bed and falls asleep. At the McCormick residence, Kenny was lying in his bed, looking at pictures of Professor Sada he had on his Rotom Phone, but he also did some studying as well before that. At the Cartman residence, Cartman was asleep in his bed with a book on his chest. He was stirring from a dream he was having at the moment.

"Hippies. Hippies all around me. PIKACHU! THUNDER SHOCK THOSE HIPPIES!" said Cartman in his sleep. A minute later, a smile spread across his face. "Good work, Pikachu. I love you." The next morning, Stan woke up and went to the dining room to join his family for breakfast. Stan grabbed a few pancakes, some toast, an apple, and some orange juice.

"So what are you doing in your classes today, Stan?" asked Sharon as she took a sip of coffee.

"We got a test on Pokemon Abilities today. That's what I was studying last night." said Stan as he poured some syrup onto his pancakes.

"Well just do your best, sweetie." said Sharon.

"Yeah, turd. I don't want you to fail and not go off on a Pokemon journey, so you'll have to stay here and bug me." said Shelly as she took a bite out of a slice of toast she had.

"Whatever. Anyway, I don't plan on flunking. My friends and I really want to become Pokemon trainers." said Stan. Five minutes later, everyone finished eating. After Stan helped clean the dishes, he brushed his teeth, got into his academy uniform, and went outside to see his friends already there, also dressed in their uniforms. Sharon soon comes out to join them.

"Are you boys ready to go?" asked Sharon.

"Yes, ma'am." said Kenny. They then headed off to Naranja Academy. When they got there, Sharon went to the front desk to start her shift while Stan and his friends went off to hang out in the cafeteria. When they got there, they saw that some of the friends they made at the academy were already there at one of the tables.

"Hey, guys." said Stan.

"Hey, Stan." said one of their new friends. The friend who greeted them was a boy named Lincoln Loud. When Stan and his friends first met him, they were surprised by the fact that he had white hair and that he was also from America like they were. But that didn't stop them from becoming friends with him. They learned that Lincoln was the boy who won that scholarship raffle they heard Mr Clavell talk about when they first met. They also learned that before Lincoln won the raffle, his family threw him out onto the streets with just the clothes on his back, which was a pair of pajamas at the time, because his family thought he was bad luck. Stan thought only his dad was the only one stupid enough to make a dumb decision like that and was disgusted with what Lincoln's family did to him. But Lincoln didn't hold anything against his baby sister, Lily and thought she should get a pass from being held responsible due to her just being a baby, which Stan and his friends agreed to. Also at the table was a girl named Nemona. She has tan skin, black hair with a ponytail with a streak of green hair in front, she wore an academy uniform, but she wore shorts instead of pants. She also wore black leggings, red and white sneakers, and a black and red wrist glove. She was really into Pokemon battles and had the capabilities of being a strong trainer, but her pokeball throwing sucked. Also at the table was another friend, an upperclassman named Arven. Arven is an older male with long blonde hair. He wore a white dress shirt, a blue sleeveless vest with the academy insignia on it over his dress shirt, orange pants, brown boots, and a yellow backpack. He was really into cooking and was really good at it. He often made snacks for everyone, which they really liked, especially Cartman. He also studied recipes for food that can make Pokemon feel better. The last person with them was a girl named Penny. She had short red and blue hair. She wore a black hoodie with a pokeball design on it, a transparent skirt over gray shorts, long gray leggings with red plus and blue minus symbols on them, black and gray boots, round glasses and an Eevee style backpack. She was a shy girl who has the habit of not showing up for some classes.

"So, what are you up to, dudes?" asked Kyle.

"We're doing some last-minute studying for that Abilities quiz." said Lincoln.

"Oh. I guess it would be a good idea to be ready for that. Mind if we all join you?" asked Stan.

"We don't mind." said Lincoln. Stan and his friends sat down and pulled their notebooks from their backpacks.

"We were also wondering what Mr. Clavell's big announcement is today." said Nemona.

"We heard about that too." said Stan.

"What do you think it's about?" asked Kenny.

"I don't know." said Lincoln.

"Maybe he's giving us our first Pokemon." suggested Kyle.

"Oh, man. That would be so cool if we got Pokemon." said Cartman.

"Yeah, that would be so awesome." said Stan. They studied and talked for a while longer before Lincoln's Rotom Phone went off.

"Gotta wrap this up, guys; class starts in ten minutes." said Lincoln.

"Thanks for the heads up, Lincoln." said Nemona as she gave Lincoln what was apparently his notebook. Everyone packed up their notebooks and headed off to their first class for the day. They soon reached Mr. Jacq's classroom door. Lincoln stops and looks towards a wall.

"Well, it's been an awesome three months in Paldea; but I have a feeling that things are going to get more interesting soon." Lincoln says to the wall. Everyone looks at Lincoln with confused looks on their faces.

"Lincoln? Who are you talking to?" asked Stan.

"Sorry, it's just something I tend to do sometimes. Just ignore it." said Lincoln. Everyone else just let the subject slide and they enter the classroom. At noon at a cafe in Mesagoza, the boys' moms were on break from their jobs, sitting at a table, talking about their sons' progress in Paldea.

"Our boys are doing really well in the academy." said Sheila.

"Yes. My Kenny has a better chance of making something out of himself than his father." said Carol.

"And I can't believe how much my little Eric has changed since attending the academy." said Liane. "He hasn't sworn in quite a while, and I think he actually lost a few pounds."

"Thanks to those long walks up that long flight of stairs and these cardio exercises they have him do there." said Sharon.

"And he actually doesn't have a problem with me working." said Liane.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say that moving here to Paldea was the best decision we ever made." said Sheila.

"Yes. Ever since I divorced Randy, I've been the happiest since we got married." said Sharon.

"And our boys are making plenty of new friends." said Liane.

"I still can't believe what that Lincoln boy went through; getting kicked out of his own home back at America because of some ridiculous superstition." said Sheila. "If I had his mother and father here, I would give them a piece of my mind!"

"Next time a parent is considering throwing a child out onto the street, maybe they should just stand in the middle of a road until a car runs them over instead." said Sharon.

"Such disgraceful parents." said Liane.

"At least Lincoln won that raffle back in America and got that scholarship to help him start a new life here." said Carol.

"So, what do you think this announcement you heard Mr Clavell talk about is?" asked Sheila.

"I don't know, but I'm certain me, our boys, and their friends will find out soon." said Sharon.
