Goku currently sat in the Briefs kitchen and watched Bulma cook up many different types of food for their dinner. As he watched he couldn't help but drink in how obscenely gorgeous she looked. She seemed to be happy, genuinely happy. Goku always liked being around happy people but... This happiness felt different. It made him feel... Warm.

As Bulma was cooking, she reminded herself that she needed to talk to Goku about asking if Gohan could play with the little girl she met earlier. She felt a bit like a burden though, she didn't want to distract Gohan and possibly Goku from their usual training regiment but she had already promised the little girl that he'd be there.

Bulma felt herself tense up, she hoped Goku could hold off for a day, if not then hopefully they weren't planning on training at all! But if they were... She'd have to try and convince a man who loves training... To hold off... She immediately shivered at the thought of being more like Chichi in that sense.

Mr and Mrs Briefs walked into the room to see the Bulma making food and Goku waiting patiently.

"My, oh, my" the doctor started "I've never seen Goku look that patient."

This recieve a chuckle from Goku, who couldn't argue that he was often impatient, like a child.

Mrs Briefs put a hand on Bulma's shoulder and leaned onto her "And I can't rememba the last time you cooked dinna for all of us."

Bulma chuckled "Yeah... Just had my mind on other stuff lately."

Once dinner was ready and plates were served, Goku devoured his food but with a bit less speed than Bulma was used to seeing.

Mrs Briefs started looking around "Hmmm... Where's Gohan?"

Goku tried talking only for it to come out muddled with the food in his mouth.

Bulma simply facepalmed "Goku... Swallow please"

Goku looked to Bulma and nodded before swallowing a bunch of food that seemed to miraculously disappear once it went down. "Ahhh" he sighed in relief "What I was saying was that we went a little too hard in our training today and I accidently hit him too hard in the stomach."

Both grandparents almost lost their minds "What?!"

Dr Briefs "Goku! You knocked the wind out of your boy? Well that's just plain cruel!"

Mrs Briefs looked a bit sad "Poor wittle baby, Goku, you gotta be moa careful with him. He's still just a boy"

Bulma sighed "Mom, Dad, I already scolded Goku about it. Can we please move on?" She said, not wanting Goku to be down in the dumbs like he has been lately.

Dr Briefs seemed to get the message and nodded "Very well then. Hmmm well Goku, how long do you plan on staying here? Do you have a time frame? Not that you're bothering us, I'm simply curious."

Goku slowed his binge eating almost immediately and smirked rather pitifully "Actually. I can't really say how long I'll be here. Not to be a bother but my old house is pretty small, I dunno if Gohan would wanna live in such a crammed place. There's Master Roshi's but then again, I wouldn't want Gohan picking up on any of his bad habits." Goku looked to be in serious thought before sighing "I'm... Not sure what I'm gonna do..." He then turned to Dr Briefs "I'm sorry but ... Could you house me and my son until I figure this out?" Every single one of Goku's words stuck with the Briefs family. They'd never heard him sound so knowledgeable or smart about the things he wants for his son. As far as most knew, he only knew his way around a fight, but that was simply untrue.

Dr Briefs began to chuckled and gently slammed his hand on the table "Goku, we'd never throw you out into the cold. Even if it takes months, years, or decades. You'll always have a place here. Feel free to stay as long as you want. Our home is still here because of your heroic acts after all!"

Mrs Briefs smiled a bit and cocked her head "Plus, you've always brought ouah daughta back to us safe and sound. For that reason alone, well forever be in yoah debt"

Goku was truly heartwarmed at all the kindness around him, it was now official in his heart, he who messes with the Briefs, messes with him. "Thank you guys... and seriously, if you guys need help with anything at all, please, let me know."

Bulma was smiling to herself about how Goku's good deeds to the world and to his friends have finally seemed to offer him some good luck. She suddenly thought about what Goku said and spoke up "Well actually... Goku, can I speak with you after dinner? I'm gonna need your help with something"

Goku nodded "Sure thing! I'll be happy to help!"

Bulma took a deep breath 'Lets hope it stays that way.'

Meanwhile, Vegeta was training his body to it's limits in 150 times Earth's normal gravity. He figured it was better to master this level of gravity before he took it any further.

He was currently lifting 10 pound dumbbells, under the current gravity though, they were much more than the initial weight. As he worked out though, he couldn't stop thinking about the fact that he and Kakarot lived under the same roof now. It was only a matter of time before Vegeta would get fed up with him and though Vegeta had the slightest possible twinge of respect for him, for reaching super Saiyan level first. He still despised him.

However, Vegeta's real anger, lied with Kakarot's activities. More specifically, his activities with the blue haired woman. Vegeta would be lying if he said he didn't recognize how attractive she was but in all honesty, he wanted her to be a bit rougher... A bit more saiyan-like.

He rather enjoyed bickering with her as of late because he would get to see her strong attitude shine. Lately though, she wasn't giving him the time of day... And he knew why... Kakarot.

From the first night Kakarot stayed here, he immediately noticed a shift in the blue haired woman. She was happier, calmer, more relaxed and not to mention, braver. She was standing up to him more and more and it was very upsetting to him. He was grooming her to be his potential bride but now, she was leaning more towards the fluke of a Saiyan that was Kakarot. Even as he trained, he began to think of ways to sway Bulma's thinking.

Meanwhile, Bulma and Goku had finished the dinnertime cleanup. Bulma then guided Goku to her laboratory so they'd have a bit more privacy. Bulma sat down in her office chair as Goku took a look around the room.

Goku began looking at various syringes and liquids he'd never seen. His curiosity made him reach for them until-

"Goku..." Bulma called out, making him freeze "I'm gonna ask that ya don't play with anything in this area. We're just gonna talk in here"

Goku shyly rubbed the back of his head "Ehehehe, sorry Bulma. I was just curious."

Bulma sighed "Well. You know what they say, curiosity killed the cat. Try to be careful so we don't have to change the saying to be a Saiyan"

Goku chuckled "I gotcha. So... What was it you wanted to talk about?"

"Right..." Bulma then took a deep breath "So uh ... Here's the thing Goku... I was taking a walk earlier when I ended up walking into a park. There, I met a little girl who lost her guardian, other than that though, she seemed extremely alone. Apparently, none of the other kids at the park wanted to play with her because of who she was or where she came from. Honestly, I don't remember which it was. Either way... Once we found her guardian she still seemed kinda down, so I told her I'd bring her a friend tomorrow... It made her really excited."

"Wow. That was super nice of ya Bulma! So? Who are you gonna bring?" Goku replied

Bulma weaved her hand through her hair "... Gohan. I wanted to know if I could bring Gohan tomorrow."

Goku looked a bit shocked "Oh!... Hmmm well... We were supposed to train with Piccolo tomorrow..."

Bulma put her hands together "Sorry about this Goku but she looked really sad. I think she needs a friend around her age. Would it be ok? Just for one day?"

Goku crossed his arms and thought about it for a moment "Well... Honestly, I'd prefer if he kept training... But... He's still just a kid, I do think it'd be nice for him to have friends at his age." Goku chewed on his bottom lip lightly while thinking "Hmmm... Tell ya what. I'll allow it. But only if Gohan doesn't let his new friend distract him. We need to make up for lost time as it is."

Bulma sighed in relief "Well, at least she can meet him once, who knows! Maybe they'll become best friends like you and me!" She ended with a laugh.

Goku chuckled "I wouldn't mind that. Just wait until after the androids are gone before she takes him on adventures."

Bulma pointed at him "Hey. I took you all over the world when you were 12 and you loved it. In my opinion, Gohan needs a little change of scenery... Especially after you decked him in the gut earlier."

Goku huffed and walked over to an available seat before sitting down "I don't like going so hard on him. But I think his training is important. Who knows, he could be the one to save us for all that we know!"

Bulma chuckled into her hand "Listen, while I have no reason to doubt your intuition. I do believe that Gohan should be a bit more free to mingle with kids his age. Granted, I'm not his parent but I can't help but feel like he wants friends of his own. I think they'll seem more special to him."

Goku thought about it for a moment until he realized... That was actually not a bad idea. Gohan recently showed his conviction for keeping the planet safe. Goku knows it's the right thing to do and also wants to save his friends, who's to say that Gohan also wouldn't want to save his friends! "Bulma! You're a genius!" He shouted at her with a smile.

Bulma was a bit surprised at his random outburst and blushed a bit from his compliment but she smiled nonetheless. "Thanks, Goku. I didn't wanna interfere with your guy's training but-"

"No, no! Don't worry!" Goku inturupted "I actually like your idea! I think it's worth a distraction."

Bulma chuckled "Good... Though. I will say, I kinda wanna train with you again now that I'm feeling all better. Maybe you can take me with you guys next time?"

Goku perked up "Really? Well why don't we train now?"

Bulma raised an eyebrow "Uhhh Goku, it'll be dark soon"

"There are plenty of ways to train Bulma." Goku went to the middle of the room and sat on the floor "For instance, we can train our minds. Meditation, Practicing Focus, and once your skilled enough, Image Training!"

Bulma lightly pressed her palm into her head "Why is this, like, the one thing your super smart about?"

Goku chuckled and patted the floor in front of him, suggesting she come over and participate.

Bulma honestly was hoping to learn more punches but she supposed she had time for that later. She stood up from her chair and walked to the spot opposite Goku and sat crosslegged, just like him. "So. How do we do this?"

Goku smiled at her acceptance of the training "Let's try meditating, your pretty good at focusing on your inventions, so take that kind of focus and put it solely in your mind. Close your eyes, and let the air breeze right through you."

Bulma chuckled lightly before shrugging "I'll do what I can." She really didn't see any point in meditating but if Goku recommended it to her then she figured there must be something to it.

Goku closed his eyes and placed his hands on his knees "Closing your eyes helps"

Bulma nodded and closed them "So I just ... Focus?... What am I focusing on?"

"Usually it helps to focus on your breath, let me know if that works for you, if not then we'll try having you focus on something else" Goku instructed.

Bulma smiled and nodded "Got it." 'Dang... He's pretty good at teaching all of these different things about fighting.'

Finally though, she put her mind at ease, it was a bit hard considering she liked to keep her brain active but she definitely wanted to do her best. At first, all the thoughts in her head felt like an aching, an action that represented the constant movement in her head. Once she finally began to slow her mind though, the aching decreased dramatically. It wasn't all gone, but there was a big improvement.

Her mind still had certain things she was clinging to, the oncoming threat of the androids, her anger regarding dealing with the prince, even her worry about Videl's situation wasn't all gone. She feared that she might not like being atound Gohan. Who knows! Small thoughts plagued her mind.

Her breathing was certainly helping though, she'd been breathing in and out, slowing her heart rate and helping to relax her head before it thought of more stressful things. After a few moments... The aching almost completely vanished. She felt rather relieved to be focusing on her breath right now.

"I think... I finally got it, Goku..." Bulma said quietly.

Goku nodded "Good. Now, remember how you feel right now. Be sure to soak that in"

Bulma took a few breaths before nodding her head "Got it, I've committed it to memory"

Goku nodded and reeled his arm back "Now... Without looking, tell me how this feels" he then punched right above her right shoulder, sending a gust to zoom past her.

Bulma felt the wind immediately, she even felt like it was coming in from a specific angel and way. She then reached out and perfectly grabbed Goku's fist. "Hm? Is that you, Goku?"

Goku chuckled "It's me. Just wanted to show you that focus can help you concentrate on things much more, especially when blocking or countering an attack."

Bulma nodded "Guess I get it now" she then opened her eyes "Thanks Sensei hehe"

Goku merely giggled "Thank you too! Training you is fun!"

Both smiled and continued to enjoy each other's company as a very sleepy someone just started waking up.

Gohan rubbed his eyes as he looked around his room, the glow of sunset was peering through his window as he woke up "Hm? What's... Goh..." He then held his stomach "Oh yeah... Dad got me pretty good with that shot to the gut." He then slowly rolled out of bed and yawned "Man, how long did I sleep?"

He made his way to the hallway before finally going down to the living area to see Mrs Briefs on the couch, watching TV.

Once she heard the pitter patter of tiny steps she looked over to see Gohan. "Oh! It seems yoah finally up! How was yoah nap, Gohan?"

Gohan couldn't help but crack a smile at her hospitality "It was ok. I was hoping to train more with dad but I guess I passed out."

Mrs Briefs faked a pout "Oh sweetie... I hope yoah stomach's not hurtin' too much. We still got leftovahs from suppah for ya."

At the mention of food, Gohan's stomach began to rumble, embarrassing the poor lad "Well. Mind if I go have some?"

Mrs Briefs got up from the couch "Of course not! I'll even keep ya company."

Gohan wanted to object but figured their was no harm in it and followed get to the kitchen.

Once there, Gohan was served plenty of reheated foods, none of which he opposed since they tasted great.

Mrs Briefs sat across from him and watched him eat as her brain begged to ask him something. She could see it, her husband could see it, so she wanted to know if Gohan could see it too. "Deah, can I ask you a question?"

Gohan took a minute to stop eating and nodded "Sure thing!"

Mrs Briefs smiled "How do you feel about ya fatha and my daughta being so close?"

Gohan was a bit surprised at that question. He honestly didn't think to much of it other than he noticed they were happy whenever the other was around. "Well... I guess I don't mind. Bulma's really nice and she makes my dad super happy, so I don't mind them being around each other"

Mrs Briefs shook her head "I wanna know how ya feel about it... Not what ya think about it"

Gohan suddenly understood her question in a new light and thought out loud about it "How I feel huh?... Well... I feel like... When I'm around them... Things are... Perfect... It's almost like I can see just how much they mean to each other through their smiles alone."

Mrs Briefs simply smiled "That's all I needed ya know sweetie."
