DOOM X WARHAMMER 40K: PRIMAL RAGE
CH.5 INTO THE ABYSS
UNKNOWN REGION OF THE WARP
"Russ this way." The Raven Lord said while leading his brother and his guard.
The group journeyed through a deep jungle filled with rot, swamps, and darkness. This was the passageway to the Garden of Nurgle.
The rotten stench of Nurgle's glory reeks of the atmosphere around them. They were close, very very close. Everywhere you looked, all you can see, all you can smell, all you can FEEL, was his rot.
Trees decayed and disease ridden, the plants reek of stench that will give you nightmares till the day you die. The animals were nothing but rotting, bloated corpses. The very ground they walk was pestilence at its finest, or greatest, depending on who you ask.
The group reached a clearing in the jungle. As they stopped they noticed that the surroundings were filled with nothing but a wasteland except for one thing.
A lonesome, ramshackled hut.
Corvus Corax made his way to the shack with his brother in tow just right behind him. The Wolf Guard was on high alert and started spreading around and eventually surrounded the hut.
As Corax got 10 meters away from the hut, he took out a very ominous and yet very much a dangerous book. A book that reeked of the evil that manifested the very being of CHAOS itself. The Wolf Lord had his eyes glued to the Chaos Book.
"Brother, how did you come across that vile book?" Russ asked. Hand on the hilt of his Sword, Mjalnar, the Sword of Balenight, a truly ancient and mysterious weapon that can slice through armor like its nothing.
Corax knew that Russ was becoming very wary and most of all, very unnerved. Corvus sighed, closed his eyes and without turning to face Leman Russ, he explained.
"From the Corpse of our wretched brother, Lorgar. I was banging the door to his tower, telling him that the big bad was here to seek revenge. Obviously the fool locked himself in. Took a while, a very long while. Then something happened. The doors slammed wide open and a mysterious l, yet a familiar presence was enveloping me. Gave me unparalleled power. With my rage and my goals so close in sight I did not stop to think. I only acted. And I acted violently." The Raven Lord paused, turned around to face the Great Wolf and opened his eyes.
His eyes were steeled and unflinching. There is a saying that the eyes are the portal to someone's soul. Well his eyes were nothing but darkness. The Raven continued.
FLASHBACK
"I ripped and teared everything in the my path. My rampage was brutal, primal. I saw nothing but corpses littering in the wayside. Nothing will impede me from reaching our foul brother. And nothing survived. When I reached the height of the tower all I saw was our traitorous brother. In his hand was this book."
"Brother Corax." Lorgar announced gleefully. His eyes were blood red, his armor was covered in Chaos runes and Chaotic mutations were everywhere from the can see. Lorgar, the first traitor.
"What foul speech you are going to say to me Lorgar, I behoove you to save it for your grave." Corvus Corax growled.
The power of the Warp, enhanced by the mysterious power, warped him to become a being of great power that can only be possible in the immaterium. His body was gone but replaced by something that can only be described as supernatural.
"Brother, join me. For I have seen the END TIMES!" Lorgar screamed. "Death and destruction so powerful, so fantastical, it is by the wish of the Great God!"
"I will rip your tongue out and claw out your intestines and strangle you with it Lorgar." The Raven angrily stated.
"That you may do oh dear brother, but his will, his power, you are part of the Great Game!" Lorgar howled.
"His? So you actually chose one of those bastards to follow? Then tell whoever it is that their favourite toy is destroyed!" Corax laughed hysterically.
His Claws for hand extended further and sharper. Corax slowly made his way closer to Lorgar.
"I did not choose any of them. I chose another master. One more ancient and powerful. My death will set everything in motion. And there's nothing you can do about it! " Lorgar stated before he was beheaded, body mutilated.
After Corax sent his brother back to his new "Dark Master", he noticed a book that Lorgars hands were still clutching. He tore the book out of the corpse's hands and stared at it. Something was off. This was not just any Chaos Book. It was far more ancient.
"Take it. You will need it to open the sarcophagus that will destroy Chaos once and for all." A deep mysterious voice echoed.
Corax body stiffened and went to high alert.
"Who speaks? Show yourself coward!" The Raven Lord screamed.
"My son."
"Father?" Corax questioned. Now confused, but still on high alert.
"I have a plan, and I need your help."
END OF FLASHBACK
Russ in utter shock uttered. "So brother what you are saying is."
"Yes." Corvus said, cutting off Leman Russ.
He held the book out towards the shack and uttered a dark, chaotic speech. A hole in the immaterium rippled open.
"Where does this lead us, Brother." Russ asked.
Corvus smiled and with a sarcastic response.
"Into the Abyss."
