Addison exhaled deeply and tried to blink all the tears away so that her vision wasn't blurry anymore. No time for crying now, Bizzy would've said. Yes, even in a situation like this, Addison thought. Especially in a situation like this. Funny how you try to avoid thinking about your mother and the moment you're in a life threatening situation, her voice pops up in your head.

''So you have a plan, right?'' she said to Burke

People plan and god laughs, Addison.

Shut up.

''You're really gonna get me outta this, right?'' She said hopefully towards Dylan but couldn't help a tear from escaping.

Dylan stared at her silently and all she could do was try to dry swallow the lump in her throat.

It's not like anyone would really care if she died, I mean people would care if she lived or died, but they wouldn't be heartbroken. Could you imagine, bizzy or the captain, heartbroken? They'll live. Not even mentioning her husband, who doesn't even care where she is or goes at this point in our marriage.

Maybe this way he could be with Meredith guilt free, he wouldn't have to break her heart, he wouldn't have to sneak around, he wouldn't even have to make a choice. Cause say what you want to say, he did not make a choice. Addison is not blind. She never thought she would say this but Mark was right, she can see him pining for the intern and he has done nothing to make her feel less like an obligation.

..

The interns were cooped up in the locker room terrified of what could happen to Addison and thinking of ways they could help.

''Should we, like.. Should we, like, do something? I mean, we could call Addison's family? Chief Webber must know them right?'' Alex brainstormed.

''Isn't her husband supposed to do that though?'' George said

However their conversation was cut short by Izzie's stress laughing and Alex going after her.

''Derek is Addison's family'' George said to no one in particular.

..

Against Meredith's will, Cristina went into OR2 anyway. She knew Meredith wouldn't follow her because Derek would be there operating.

Stepping into the area and going right towards the operating table, Cristina picked up a sterile cloth for her hands. Derek spoke without even looking up ''This area has been evacuated, Dr. Yang.''

''and somehow you're still here''

''I have to be here. You don't.'' Derek said sternly.

Funny, that's almost exactly what his wife said Cristina thought.

''Yes, I do'' she said instead. At this point Cristina somehow thought Derek was well aware of the fact that his wife was the one with her hand in the body cavity. She hadn't thought about the fact that news hadn't gotten out here yet, or they either didn't want to tell him yet in case of Tucker's surgery.

''Dr. Yang-'' ''Yes. I do.'' Cristina cut him off which made Derek look up for the first time. Something is off Derek thought.

She tried to lighten the mood by saying she guessed he needs a little company anyway, with his wife being in life danger and all, keeping the latter unsaid. That was all there was to it to make the situation more comfortable.

''How is he doing?'' Cristina asked.

''He's hanging in there'' Derek said and he knew well, that this was one of the most popular and non-saying medical sayings out there.

In return, Derek asked ''How's that paramedic Hannah doing?''

''Hannah?'' Cristina asked confused.

''The girl with the bomb'' Derek said turning back towards Tucker.

''Oh. Uh, she's hanging in there, too'' Cristina quickly answered, trying to keep her voice steady.

..

At this point her head was ringing and her arm started to go slack. Even though she didn't think anyone would really care she died, she didn't have a death wish. It's some primal instinct to want to keep living, is it not? And even if Derek didn't care about her, she cared about him. She loved him, no, loves him. She wants to tell him this herself, especially after Grey got that idea into her head.

She wanted to see Derek again.

''Is this the strangest thing that's ever happened in your OR?''

''I'd have to say that it is'' Burke answered.

''Good. I guess.'' Burke looked up surprised ''Cause I'm quite competitive.'' Addison said out of the blue

''I know Addison. I've seen your work'' he said with a soft smile

She's competitive, but most of all, determined.

She's going to see Derek again.

..

While Richard was on the phone with Mercy West, trying to find out if there was any way Miranda could possibly be transported to the other hospital, George was still trying to make sense to her.

''Dr. Bailey'' George started ''They- they're talking about an emergency c-section''

''They can talk all they want!'' Bailey shouted. ''I'm not going to Mercy West. This baby is not coming out right now. Help me get a ride, now! I can't focus anough to drive myself.. and Tucker-'' she stopped mid sentence and rolled her eyes. Before she could continue George was the one to cut her off.

''You could lose it. You know this.''

This went on for a while before Miranda ordered George to get out. Where the hell were Izzie and Alex?! George needed some assistance now that Dr. Montgomery was gone.

..

Not only did Richard just give someone's wife maybe the worst news possible, he also was in desperate need for an update. The new information he came across needed to be shared with the team upstairs.

''Look, will somebody get me an update? And where is the head of the bomb squad?!'' Webber yelled through the door opening.

Just when he wanted to continue, Dylan walked through the door. They were ready.

Time to drop the second bomb.

''In the OR we put our patients under general anesthesia.''

Dylan slowly nodded, afraid of where this was heading.

''That involves a steady flow of pure oxygen.'' Richard finished.

Stating the obvious, Dylan asked if the oxygen could be turned off in his OR.

Oh, but he could. And he had.

''This right here, this is your OR. And this.. is the OR's floor main oxygen tank''

..

There she was again. Without any information or update, watching Preston and Dylan whisper to each other. Hell, she was ready. They were ready. They've been ready for the past 10 minutes. Minutes that Dylan needed to check with the chief and then return to her, with a smile if that was possible. Maybe that was a bit too much to ask for in this situation, but at least they could stop whispering.

''Stop it''

Burke looked up confused.

''I'm not a patient.'' I explained

''What.'' Dylan said.

''The two of you are looking at me the way we look at patients. Like I'm going to freak out at any minute.. I'm not going to freak out.'' Addison said ''Preston'' she said while looking Burke directly into his eyes ''I'm your colleague. I'm your equal. And I'm not going to freak out. So whatever it is, just tell me straight out.''

Burke stepped in front of me. ''The main oxygen line runs directly under this room.''

''Right.''

Burke didn't continue after seeing her facial expression. She knew what this meant the moment he said it. Her brain works fast. It always has, even when she was little. There's a reason she's double board certified and it's not just because she's determined to achieve what she wants. She's intelligent and people around her seem to catch on to this quickly. If this bomb were to blow up, the whole hospital would go with it. The million dollar question now is..

what are they going to do about it?
