Chapter 6
All Rebekah does is put her hand on Kenneth's thigh. She taps her pointer finger four times. Kenneth then gets up and leaves the room. No one says anything, shocked at Molly's and Hermione's behavior, to notice the exchange between the two representatives. By the time Kenneth returns, most, if not all, of the shock has faded from the others in the room. Behind him is Kathryn. She looks calm in the face of the accusations being thrown at her. Without a word, Kenneth and Kathryn make their way into the room to sit in their vacated sets before leaving the kitchen.
Dumbledore, who had watched all of this. He was very disappointed in Molly and Hermione. From Molly's smug attitude to Hermione's actions to get what she sees as her right. Dumb/done op served the intonations between Rebekah and Kenneth. All Rebekah had to do was tap Kenneth what looked like four times on the thigh to have him understand what she wanted him to do. It was astonishing and proof of how close the two are. To be able to communicate like that. After Kenneth returns with Kathryn, the headmaster knows he has to get this situation under control before it gets out of control and he loses the Americans.
As soon as Molly and Hermione are calmed down. They looked around the room and noticed that everyone was not looking sympathetic toward Hermione, but they booked egos ted and were embarrassed. They could not fathom why that was.
Rebekah and Kenneth could not believe the behavior of the two in front of them. They have never seen grown women behave this way. 'How did she get in here? One would think there would be wards to prove at the children in or listen into the meeting,' Thought Rebekah. "Well, not that we have heard one side, why we do not hear the other side. Shall we?" Kenneth said in his deep, baritone voice.
Molly scoffs. "Of course, you would say that, but you would believe that your percuss daughter would never do that." "If that's the case, why do we not look at the memory of what happened? In that own way, biases do not reflect what happened. "Rebekah calmly told the irate red-haired woman. "That is a wonderful idea" Molly then looked at Hermione. Who, at this point, became very pale. "Hermione dear, we will look at the memory of what happened. Are you all right about it? Do you know how it is done?" Molly asked. "Yes, I know what to do, but I refuse to do it. I should not have to subject myself to this. "Hermine says hotly, forgetting her initial hesitation.
Rebekah looked at this girl who accused her daughter of being rude and was now trying to make this an attack on her. 'Well, I, for one, will not stand for it,' she thought. Rebekah then turns to Kathryn, "Kathryn, do you mind giving your memory of the event?" Kathryn looks around the room. Her gaze falls on the girl from before. She is glaring at Kathryn, who cannot believe how this girl is acting. 'If I even acted like this, I would be punished.' she thought. Kathryn then looks at her mother. "I have no problem showing what happened."
For the first time since, Herminia barged into the room. Rebekah addresses the headmaster. "Mister Dumbledore " "It is Professor Dumbledore. I mean, honestly." Hermine intended in a huff. Rebekah ignores her while everyone else rolls their eyes at her behavior.
"Do you have a pensive we may use to view the memory?" Dumbledore, for his part, had been watching the room. "Yes, I will go and retrieve it now. "Thank you," Rebekah says. The headmaster leaves to retrieve the pensive from his office. Then she leans back in her chair to wait for the headmaster to return. The headmaster goes to retrieve the pensive from his office.
The tension in the room was so thick that no one cleared to move or breathe too loudly. As time went on, Hermione was getting more and more anxious. She did not think her plan to get into the library go so off track. She felt that it would go her way as it always did before.
The headmaster returned to minute later with the pensive. "Kathryn, my dear. Will you then extract your memory, please? The headmaster gently asked. Kathryn raised her right hand to her temple. Her Ruby ring glowed, and the memory was removed. Everyone was looking at Kathryn in amazement. They did not think that magic could be worked that way. Severus was now looking forward to his talk with her in the future.
After Kathryn put her memory in the pensive, but before any could move to enter it. Kenneth waved his hand, the Black Opal ring on his middle finger saying, "tentorium," and a milky screen appeared. He waved his hand again, saying, "fabula," the memory began to play.
Memory Starts
Just outside of the library door, Hermione was peering in. She sees a girl there. The girl looked about her age going through some of the books. Hermione (A.N. I hope I am spelling her name right. If not, please let me know.) could not understand why this girl could go to the library when she could not.
"Who are you?" Hermione asked very rudely and somewhat in a haughty tone. The girl looks up from the book she is reading. "I am Kathryn Gaunt. Whom might you be?"
"I'm Hermione Granger. Why are you here? How did you get in here? You should not be in here." Hermione asked in a rush.
Kathryn looked at Hermione like she was both amused and annoyed, but she answered nonetheless. "I am here with my parents. I ask Mr. Black if I could use his Library for research I am doing." Kathryn looked away from the door to get back to her reading. She missed the angry look that went over Hermione's face. Hermione did not like being dismissed like that. Not at all. After huffing for a few minutes, we were not getting Hermione the reaction she was hoping for. She decides to find Mrs. Weasley. Maybe then she can pit this girl in her place. If anyone, it would be Mrs. Weasley.
Hermione huffs and says, with her hands on her hips. "I don't think it is rude not to invite the person at the door inside." She sniffs. "Well, it won't matter. I'm sure Mrs. Weasley will have something to say about this." With that said, she leaves to find Mrs. Weasley stomping the whole way.
Memory Ends
The Orden turned and looked between disappointment and disgusted with Hermione's behavior. Some even realize that she has always acted that way to get what she demands. It has only been Sirius Black that told her that she was not allowed in the library when she demanded to be allowed to use it. That is why some think, namely Snape, Moody, Black, and Dumbledore, that she finally went this route to get her way.
On the other hand, Molly could not believe what she had just seen. She thought she finally had a way to get these people away. Only to be proven wrong.
Kathryn calls the memory back to her. With a flick of her hand. It shows how advanced Kathryn is to, though her age, "know that it has been established that My daughter is innocent of the accusations. We can now talk about the punishment of this young lady here." Kenneth said calmly but firmly. Many in the room were reminded of Snape. It was very spooky.
