Not going to lie, I almost forgot I had this ready to post for today. After this, I only have one pre-made chapter done at least at the time of posting this. Between both work and school I've hardly had any time to sit down and write, and when I do, I'm so exhausted that I just don't want to. So, after the next post, expect updates to slow down. Drastically, if things keep up.

Guest Geneevee: Yeah, Alec definitely isn't a big fan of the press.
What Comes Next
Izuku's POV
For the past two days, UA had canceled classes while they dealt with Alec's reveal to the world, and today we were finally allowed to go back. Since the video was shown though, I've been hounded by reporters who wanted to know everything I did about the Trainer every time I went out for something, since I was in the video right next to Alec and ran in to try and save All Might, though thankfully you couldn't see his slim form in the video. Mom understandably freated over me once the news came out, but also was thankful that Alec was there.
For the sounds of it from the group chat I had with the rest of the class, everyone's parents felt similar, though I wasn't sure how Kachan's and Todoroki's parents thought of him, the former never really texting on the group chat even though I added him to it and the latter not even on it. In the eyes of the general public though, Alec was originally really popular until the meeting, and was now pretty contrivertal. Like many, I was watching when the government was questioning Alec, and heard his speech about how he viewed my world while comparing it to his. I found myself agreeing with what he had said, though I did want to ask All Might about how he felt about it.
Anyway, the train ride to the school was pretty uneventful, and I spent most of it looking at my phone which displayed countless news articles. All about their take on Alec's words, some supporting his words, others criticizing them, and a rare few attempted to take some kind of middle ground, though they did seem to lean to one side or the other. Getting into school though, was a whole other problem.
Compared to the reporter swarm that showed up when All Might was discovered to be teaching at UA, the one outside the school now demanding to speak to Alec was ten times worse, and I saw they were aggressively hounding a few students who tried to make their way in, a few of them I recognized to be my classmates. Kirishima was one such student who was particularly hounded, his normally upbeat and confident look replaced with a more worried one. I tried to sneak in, using my smaller stature to squeeze through, but one reporter spotted me and figured out who I was, and was soon hounded by them too.
"What kind of person is Kirkland?"
"Has he explained how he got here or how he's getting home?"
"Are more people from his world going to come here?"
"How many Pokémon does he have and what are they're full capabilities?"
Question after question was asked of me and I was quickly overwhelmed by them all. I wanted to just melt into the ground to hide, but I doubted even that would work, even if I had a Quirk like that.
"KNOCK IT OFF! ALL OF YOU!" a familiar voice shouted above them all and I looked to the school entrance and saw Alec standing there in the same clothes he wore when he first arrived, and the left sleeve was repaired. Ethan stood loyally by his side and gave a glare towards the sea of reporters. "Leave the student's alone. They have no part in this. It's me you want, and if you want to talk to me, I'll do it on my own time. So leave. You're not getting anything today," he told them with a stern glare and cold voice that even though I wasn't the target of it I felt like hiding.
"The people have a right to know about you!" one reporter shouted over the sea of other reporters also shouting questions. During this time, me and several other student's caught up in the crowd managed to get onto UA grounds.
"I will admit that people have a right to be curious about me, but I will not be hounded for my life's story just because you say so. Leave. You're wasting your time here," Alec stated coldly before turning and walking towards the school, me and Kirishima looked at each other and quickly followed him.
"Thanks for that Alec. They just wouldn't stop asking me questions," Kirishima said tiredly as we got inside.
"Don't worry about Eijiro. Though I will say that this crowd is worse than All Might's. I might just be more popular than him at the moment," Alec commented jokingly.
"I'd probably chalk that up to them finding something they don't understand," I pointed out.
"Yeah, you're probably right," the trainer responded with a shrug. Ethan then let out a mixture of screechs and soft barks that I wasn't sure what they meant. "Yeah, I get it Ethan, but we'll have to deal with them at some point," he said.
Wait, did he just understand Ethan? "Yes, Izuku, I did," Alec replied. I said that out loud, didn I? "Also yes," he said, giving me an amused look while I flushed in embarrassment.
"Wait, can you understand Pokémon?" Kirishima asked.
"Yeah. I've been able to since I met Ethan. Tell you what, after school today, anyone who wants to can come to my training grounds and I'll teach you all a thing or two on Pokémon. Let you see everyone I've managed to bring over."
"Sure, I'm up for that," I answered with a small smile. Ever since I first saw Bulwark and found out Alec had more Pokémon, they've held some interest to me. Not as much as heroes, but I did want to know everything I could.
"I'll have to let my parents know I'll be late, but I'm game. I really want to meet the one who helped All Might take out Nomu. That final punch was something else," Kirishima replied, punching his fist into his palm in emphasis.
I saw Alec gain a faint smile, but something seemed off about it. "Well, I'll see you all after class then," he said as he walked ahead.
"You're not coming to class with us?" I asked.
"Well, now that I'm exposed, Principal Nezu said I didn't have to pretend to be a student anymore. That, and I need to speak to him about something. Don't worry, just enjoy yourselves. Well, as much as you can with school," Alec replied, waving us a goodbye with Ethan letting off a bark towards us that was most likely a good-bye before following.
Me and Kirishima shared a look before he shrugged and we headed off to class, though when I thought about it, Alec seemed a bit worried about something. I couldn't help but wonder what had him worried, since Alec always seemed not to be scared of anything. And something that worried him, made me a bit worried as well.
Alec's POV
As I headed towards Nezu's office, I passed by many of the other students as they moved to their first classes. Most noticed me and quickly moved out of my way in what I could see was a mixture of awe, fear, and uncertainty. I wasn't all that surprised, considering that if they had seen me before, they thought I was just another student, but now they know that I'm nothing like them. What was also obvious was the whispering, the rumors, the questions.
Sadly, I was somewhat used to something like this. Once I was revealed to be a Speaker, I couldn't even step out of my room without some kind of reaction. Still, compared to back home, this wasn't as bad.
"Hey, hey! Mirio, look! It's the trainer guy!" a female voice suddenly called out before I was suddenly face to face with someone who was most likely in their final year, with long, curly, light blue hair, and darker blue eyes.
I gently pushed her back as two male students came over, one looking like he wanted to disappear from the world and the other seeming a bit more upbeat. "Nejire, you shouldn't crowd people," the boy who appeared like he wanted to hide said. He had somewhat wild indigo hair and eyes, and pointed ears. Didn't look like much, but for all I know his Quirk could be extremely powerful.
"Oh, don't worry about it. I understand that I'm probably the most interesting thing to happen recently," I stated. I was somewhat used to being swarmed, and while I normally didn't like it, I was more lenient when it came to children and my more passive fans. This Nejire seemed to be more in the latter group.
"Not surprising, considering it's not every day we get a visitor from another dimension," the second boy said. He was a bit taller than me, with a simple cartoon look on his face and bright blue eyes, and blond hair like myself, but he had a cowlik at the front and was slicked back at his neck. He then seemed to realize something. "Sorry, I just realized we hadn't introduced ourselves. Pretty rude of us, huh?" he asked jokingly.
I couldn't help but chuckle at his upbeat personality. If this guy was in the hero course, he'd certainly go far when it came to reassuring the public. "Don't worry about it. You of course know who I am, and this is Ethan, my Pokémon partner," I introduced, Ethan giving a nod in greeting.
"Nice to meet both of you. I'm Mirio Togata and this is Nejire Hado, and Tamaki Amajiki," Mirio introduced.
"Hey, so, how many of those Pokémon do you have? Hundreds? Thousands? How many different species are there? Are the attacks biological or is it something else?" Nejire started questioning, not giving me room to answer.
"Come on, Nejire. At least give him a chance to answer. Besides, we better get to class," Mirio stated.
"Right, you guys still have that. Sorry for keeping you," I apologized.
"Don't worry about it. Well, catch you later Kirkland," Mirio said as the three walked off.
[Well, they were certainly an interesting bunch,] Ethan commented.
"Yeah, though I get the feeling we'll see more of them. Well, we'd better get to Nezu," I replied and we continued towards the principal's office.
It didn't take us long to get there, and I knocked on the door. "Come in," Nezu's voice said from the other side. I opened the door to find Nezu writing down a few things, but looked up at me as I entered. "Ah, I was wondering when you would show up, Alec."
"Am I really that predictable?" I asked jokingly.
"The response more so than you. I'm guessing you're going to want to go over the details of what regulations the government put on you and figure out how much you're going to bend those rules?" Nezu asked with a cheery smile.
"Among a few other things, but yeah," I replied, taking a seat in front of his desk.
"Well, let's start with the government's fun play with words," Nezu said, handing me a small stack of paper. I carefully read through it, since I would have to know every detail if I was going to go against this and not get in trouble.
I chuckled as I read one particular section. "Hey Ethan, get a load of this. "Any Pokémon of four feet or less will be allowed to roam the streets as long as they are considered pets, with the appropriate regulations with them." To think, I finally have an excuse to put you on a leash," I joked.
Ethan's response was an immediate glare. [Do that, and you won't last two seconds,] he growled, though there was a slight hint of a joke in his voice too.
I rolled my eyes a bit and continued reading. Nezu did some work on his computer while I did, and when I finished I set the document down on the table. "Well, it seems they're doing everything possible to prevent me from using my Pokémon out in public. While I get that, if they just view them with fear it's not going to go anywhere," I noted.
"You're right about that. Which is why I have two work-arounds for that," Nezu stated as he looked towards me.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
Nezu pressed a button on his computer before fully facing me. "Well, the first is quite simple. As the principal of UA, I have the authority to introduce a temporary Heroes License, which will remain active so long as you perform well out on the streets. The second is a way for the public to get used to the idea of Pokémon. In two weeks, the UA Sports Festival will start, and a lot of people will come to see it. Both in person, and watching it on TV or online," Nezu explained.
"So you're thinking of having my Pokémon more out and about during the festival," I realized.
"Considering you have eighteen of them here now, and I imagine you'll be bringing over more soon, it's best for the general public to get used to seeing them in person and interact with them. Not just through their screens and internet stories. I'm still working out the details of how to go about it all, but I won't have them do anything without your approval," Nezu continued.
"Well, that's certainly nice. I'm only able to bring six Pokémon a week due to the power requirements of transporting between dimensions, but I'll let you know what new Pokémon I get as they come," I told Nezu.
"That would be appreciated," Nezu said before pulling out a card for me. "This is your temporary Hero License. If any authorities or heroes question you using your Pokémon fighting crime, just show them that and you'll be all set," he told me.
I took the card and gave it a quick look over before placing it in my pocket. "As for the other thing I need… well… I'm not sure how to put this," I started but couldn't find the words.
"I'm guessing you're feeling conflicted on what to do now," Nezu said.
"Yeah. The whole thing with Class 1A was just to keep me hidden from the outside world, but now that that's been thrown out the window I really don't know what to do. I'm not used to staying in one place for very long. Annoys the Distortion World out of my girlfriend," I finished.
Nezu chuckled slightly. "Oh, I can imagine. I'll leave that up to you, but if you want, I can figure something out that would apply your skills to help out around the school," the small rodent offered.
"I'd appreciate that, Nezu. I can't thank you enough for everything," I said as I prepared to stand up to leave.
"The pleasure's all mine. Oh, and Alec, about the war you told Cementos about," Nezu started and my expression fell.
I sighed as I sat back down and Ethan jumped onto my lap in an attempt to help comfort me. "I figured this would come up at some point. What is it about it that you want to know?" I asked.
"I won't ask you about anything during the conflict, but I would like to know how it got started. The events leading up to it," Nezu requested.
I leaned back in my seat, the memories starting to flow in. "Well, on my world, there are more people that are different from normal humans. Some like me have the ability to communicate with Pokémon, some possess minor abilities of a Pokémon type like being able to communicate telepathically or being a bit more resistant to an element, and a rare few can even tap into the direct power of a Pokémon. These abilities were mostly kept a secret by the people that can use them, and the Speakers have a hidden town in the Kalos region where they originally came from. But slowly but surely, people started hearing about the powers of others. It wasn't widespread, but there were enough around that the regional governments started to get worried," I started.
"Sounds very similar to the start of Quirks. For us, that resulted in a complete restructuring of world culture," Nezu noted.
"I read about that, but things were different for us. The governments started spreading rumors of people like me, that we were a threat to society as a whole. In hindsight, it became obvious what was about to happen. It started small, with the usual protest and the occasional fight between normal people and those with abilities, but a fellow Speaker of mine, Daniel, wanted to take it a step further. He wanted to show the world what we were capable of, and began launching semi-organized attacks against the governments of the world, saying that they had to accept people like me. Me and Daniel had been friends for a few years at that point, and I thought I could talk him out of it. I told him we had to take things slowly and with words. "A quick solution will only cause long term problems," I said. But he either wouldn't, or didn't want, to listen to me. He tried to convince me during that, about how I should join them and lead this "revolution" as he called it, since he had told his followers that I was a Speaker and they wanted to stand behind me. I told him, "If they want to stand with me, then they have to stop these attacks." After that, things quickly fell apart. Daniel and his followers announced that they were going to show the true power of people who were special and how they would make the governments of the world accept us with more organized attacks, and the public started calling them Team Terror as a result. It spiraled into open war a few days later."
There was silence after that as Nezu processed it all. "I see. From the sounds of it, it came in rather quickly and no one was prepared," he noted.
"Yeah, no kidding. My world doesn't even have a standing army. Hasn't been a need for that in centuries. Most people that tried to do bad things were either stopped by some average trainer who happened to be in the right place at the right time, the local police, or a Pokémon Ranger that happened to be assigned to the task. So, when the war began, the government treated this like any other previous criss and let the local trainers take care of it. That soon fell apart when the killings started. Then they had to take it seriously," I further explained.
"I see. Well, I'm sorry if this brought up any painful memories for you. I don't know if Aizawa told you this, but the staff is willing to listen to you if you need anything," Nezu told me.
"Thanks Nezu. I appreciate that," I replied before standing up.
I exited the room and looking at the time, I really didn't know what to do. I let out a sigh of annoyance. This is one of the reasons I started my Pokémon journey. I always needed something to do, and while I could just train or hang out with 1A, I had this need to do something new.
Well, I guess I could get some training in for myself. Villains aren't just going to leave me alone when they see my Pokémon. Having more of a fresher on CQC wouldn't be so bad.
And here we go to the start of the second arc of this story. I'm not entirely sure when this one will end, but it will be either directly after the Sport's Festival, or with the end of the Stain Arc.
Either way, I hope you all enjoyed, and do all the usual shenanigans I say after every chapter.
Until next time: A New Problem
