So sorry for the late update, in this chapter I've made Klaus more like he is in the series more tempered towards being mocked and everything. So no more complaints about that.
Second, this chapter may not connect as well or may not be as long but that's just the way it is sometimes.
And just to keep my audience on their toes a somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd chapters after this one something major happens to Hayden that changes things with him and...Katherine, forever.
The first thing that comes to Hayden's mind as he wakes up is a hell of a crick in the neck. He lets out a groan as he rolls over to sit up straight and as always after coming back from the somewhat-dead he notices a room full of caskets and when his vision gets clear enough he sees Alaric looking down on him with a sinister smirk.
"Ah, looks like our guest is finally coming to and just in time." A female voice rings out.
"Hello Hayden, welcome back." Esther who is now in her own body again, thank god!
The last thing Hayden knows that she was in Rebekah's body.
"Wait a minute if your back in your own body then where's Rebekah?"
Esther just gave him a look that was no different than any of the others she had given him before.
"My daughter is fine for now, she's just asleep where she'll remain until I'm able to free her of this curse I've placed upon her and the rest of my children." She tells him.
Hayden growled feeling pissed off, "You know it there was an award for the world's most persistent and relentless psychotic murdering bitch…you'd be my nominee, I'll give you that much."
Alaric scoffed off to the side.
"Remind me again why you didn't just let me kill him back at the cave?" Alaric asks the original witch sounding a bit grouchy.
Hayden can't help but wonder who shit in his breakfast this morning, or maybe it's just that time of the month, common issues for magical split personas ain't exactly something he's learning in school at the moment.
Esther turns her head to him but doesn't say anything before turning her attention back to Hayden.
"like I told you before this boy is an unpredictable element that I'd prefer to keep around as I see fit, time and time again this Omega has managed to foil not only my plans but the plans of Niklaus and others on both sides I want to ensure that he does not interfere so we shall take him with us, that's all there is to it, is that a problem?" Esther quires.
"Nope, besides if your plan works he'll be dead anyways." Alaric points out.
Hayden definitely doesn't like all those words in the same sentence.
"I'm only gonna fucking as the damn question one last time and I want an answer, what did you do to Rebekah?" He asks concerned being that he is unaware of what happened during his nap.
"As I told you before, I can assure you she's fine…for now, before I reverted back to my own body I simply had Alaric here dagger her or technically myself while I was still inhabiting her body, and then put her in her casket so she wouldn't be anymore trouble, same could be said of you."
Hayden chuckles, "Well I tell you both one thing…trouble and I are best buds."
Hayden then gets to his feet to throttle Esther but she raises her hand and a searing pain shoots throughout his entire body. Grabbing his head he falls back to the ground as Esther uses her magic to attack him.
"Your most certainly are an Omega or would you prefer that I call you a Rogue see that's the dark, mysterious, and wild appellation that others have given you recently, I must say in some ways it really does describe you, Hayden." Esther comments as she continues her attack on the hybrid.
Esther starts to clench her fist the look of concentration on her face intensifies.
Hayden starts to spitting out blood feeling the magic literally beginning to choke him.
With one final burst of energy Hayden blurs off the ground over to Esther his eyes pure yellow and black leaping at Esther both his hands wrapped around her neck tightly and squeezing the life out of her as he growls ferociously. Before Hayden can get to the grand finale of what he's got planned for her, Alaric stabs him with a knife breaking his concentration only for a split second with is enough for Esther to continue her incantation to bring Hayden to his knees and feeling lightheaded and dizzy and collapses unconscious.
"What was that?" Alaric asks.
Esther rubs her throat, "Only a spell to subdue Mr. Kerbex so if he does manage to wake up before we're finished he'll be too disoriented and docile to fight back." She explains to the hunter.
"Now shall we get started?"
At Mystic Falls High School everyone is getting ready for the big decade dance later on tonight.
Caroline catches Matt and Jeremy hanging the stars and not to her satisfaction from the look of horror on her face.
"You can't just hang them they're suppose to trickle down." Caroline specifies. When really all she's doing is whining.
Matt and Jeremy share a laugh, both of them finding the blonde's anal-ness very amusing.
"Trickle down…" Matt chuckles under his breath to Jeremy.
Caroline's expression quickly changes to a adorable smile. "Look at them all bromancey." She says to Elena who's also watching.
"Yeah I asked Matt to help Jeremy readjust, he got him his old job back at the grill." She explains.
Caroline who has her arms folded looks over her shoulder at the doppelgänger. "Well that was nice of him."
Elena nods giving a 'Mmm-Hmm', "Jeremy's got a lot on his mind, the whole thing with Alaric has got him really stressed out." Elena elaborates to her friend.
"You sure it had nothing to do with witnessing you and Damon…getting hot and heavy in a skeevy motel?" Caroline asks teasingly, with a playful smirk turning to Elena who shakes her head in response to the comment.
"I didn't tell you that so you could torture me with it." Elena groans.
Caroline tilts her head, "Ah what are friends for? Besides, I'm starting to think that some of Hayden's big mess of a personality is starting to rub off on me, so can you really blame me there?" She defends.
"Tell me about it acts like he's a pro comedian or something, I'm starting to think he's a bad influence on you." Elena jokes.
"Speaking of that bundle of annoyance, where the hell is he anyways, usually he's here for these sort of things, first Rebekah, now him. Coincidence…I don't think so." Caroline implies, turning around her eyes scanning the entire gym which is currently missing a certain rogue hybrid.
Elena gives her a skeptical look, "You mean you haven't heard from him yet today?" She asks.
Caroline shakes her head, "Nope…nada, last time I heard from him was when Stefan told me that he and Rebekah were getting the white oak stake from Alaric." She replies.
"Same here, I mean Stefan did tell me that Rebekah said he went home after everything I mean, he has been away from his grandma for a while so maybe he's decided to reconnect with her again or something." Elena guesses.
Caroline gives a slight nod with a rich of her eyebrows. "Or if you ask me maybe he just needs a break from everything that's been going on with Klaus, the Originals, all of us, maybe it's just time for him to get some fresh air, you know. But hopefully he'll turn up sooner or later because I am not letting him weasel his way out of tonight's dance, that guy hardly gets his party face on." She argues.
Elena's expression turns rather worried, she and Hayden may not be on the good terms like they used to, but despite all of that tension and drama, behind it all they were still friends. And the last thing she wants is for something to happen to him after everything already.
"By the way, who are you bringing to the dance?" Caroline asks in her usual nosy tone, always prying for the details of her love life.
"I thought you, Bonnie, and I were going as, girl dates." Elena reminds the blonde vampire, wrapping a black twenties scarf around her neck striking a pose.
Caroline let's out a laugh, "Bonnie has a date." She informs her friend.
"What?" Elena gets out not knowing when this happened.
"Jamie called and wanted to see her, so she asked him." Caroline explains.
"Hmm."
"So here's a thought, why don't you ask Stefan?" Caroline suggests.
Elena's smile immediately fades away at the mention of that name. "I-I can't ask him on a date…I just made out with his brother." She complains.
"All the more reason. Look, you're supposed to be figuring out what you want, that's what Stefan wanted you to do, right?" Caroline quires.
Elena who can't bring her gaze to her friend perks up, "Yeah but-"
"But nothing," Caroline cuts her off, "I've watched 'The Bachelor' okay fair is fair, it is Stefan's turn." She defends for the younger Salvatore.
Elena scoffs a chuckle, "Yeah and you're not biased or anything." She argues, not letting Caroline get to her that easily.
"I'm sorry, but Stefan is your epic love, and I'm not going down without a fight."
Elena looks down and gives a defeated sigh.
Meanwhile at the cemetery in Mystic Falls Esther and the Hunter Alaric are entering.
Alaric obviously looks confused, dragging Hayden along still out of it.
"Long ago on this spot, my son tore my heart from my chest. The violence of my death marked this ground for all time." Esther tells the tale.
Hayden weakly chuckles, "Talk about heartbreak." He jokes, although he'll admit in his drowsy magically drugged state, that was a lame-ass pun.
Esther didn't acknowledge the young man's snide remark as she and Alaric entered the building in the middle.
Esther stops at what looks like a little alter or ritual or something from Hayden's perspective.
She turns to Alaric, "I'll need your ring?" She requests.
"Now, why would I give you the one thing that protects me from death?" Alaric questions.
"I will give you all the protection you need. However the stake will burn up in the body of its first victim. If you are to kill all of my children, I will need to bind the protective magic in your ring to the stake, thus rendering the white oak stake indestructible." Esther explains, putting out her hand waiting for the Hunter to hand over his bling.
Alaric hesitantly takes the ring off his finger and gives it to the witch dropping it into the goblet or chalice or whatever kinda cup it is.
Hayden watches from off to the side still barely able to keep track of what their up to.
Esther starts chanting some incantation or spell, a minute later the cup spews out fire, inside the ring is melting and the flame goes out, Esther then picks up the last remaining white oak stake and dips the fat end into the cup and swirls it and when she pulls it out the metal or essence of Alaric's ring is stuck on the end and she flips the stake up as the ring's essence starts to spread down the stake into silverish veins until it reaches the tip.
Both Alaric and Esther are now looking at the newly improved white oak stake in awe. While Hayden who was watching as best he could, looks scared now knowing that that thing out burn up like the others after being stuck into an original.
"The ultimate weapon,"'Esther announces proudly, almost admiring her handiwork. "For the ultimate hunter."
She then holds out the stake for Alaric who grabs it looking it over.
Esther then turns her attention to Hayden who is still barely able to keep it together.
"Good idea, why don't we test this out so see if it really doesn't burn up anymore?" Alaric suggests with a dark gleam of enthusiasm in his eyes point the stake at Hayden.
Esther holds up her hand stopping him. "That'll be unnecessary."
"You said yourself, he'll be put out of his misery soon enough, all we need is to put him someplace where he won't be able to interfere, luckily I have the perfect location in mind." With that Esther waves her hand towards Hayden who falls to the ground knocked out…again.
Hayden felt his head pounding, must be some kinda magical hangover. Then he notices he's in some kind of closet, when he opens his eyes and his blurred sight comes back into focus.
That's when he realizes he's in a janitors closet with a bunch of mops and broom and other cleaning supplies. With ease Hayden gets to his feet shaking off the headache from before.
"Goddamn magic!" Hayden grunts.
Not a second too soon he kicks the door wide opened and steps out to see from the small windows it's dark out, so nighttime obviously. From the music he's hearing faintly sounds like the decade dance is going on right now, damn! Hayden mentally notes.
Honestly he was really lookin forward to breaking out that fedora, oh well. Shit happens!
The hall was empty mostly except for when he turns his eyes fall upon the Salvatore's, Stefan and Damon who look at the young man in surprise.
Hayden heads straight for them.
"What the hell are you doing in the maintenance room, fall asleep in there again?" Damon jokes.
"Cut the shit Damon, listen
"Apparently Alaric and Esther have double teamed and currently are cooking up another plan to wipe out Klaus and The Originals." Hayden informs the brothers.
That's when Jeremy comes running from around the corner, something wrong must be going on.
"Woah easy there 'Speed Racer' what's the rush?" Damon asks him.
Jeremy panting slightly answers, "It's Esther, she's here outside with Elena."
Stefan and Damon share a look as they both start speed walking towards the front entrance with Jeremy and Hayden in tow.
That's when the three out of the four boys, the supernatural ones that is notice the invisible wall they hit.
Stefan, Damon, and Hayden all notices a line of salt laid down in front of them trailing along the entrance around the entire school possibly best guess.
"Salt, it's the binding agent for a spell." Stefan explained.
Damon sighs defeat, "We're trapped here."
Hayden groans tilting his head back, "No shit we are!"
"I'm starting to understand why had her little minion put me here, we're basically all lambs that are trapped in the slaughterhouse, so does anyone know if there's a back door outta this damn spell?" He exasperates.
"Bonnie might, I'll go get here away from her date, shouldn't be too hard hopefully." Damon says and walks off back into the building to get the witch.
Meantime Hayden and Stefan are trying to find a way out with no success. That's when Hayden spots his nemesis, Klaus walking out of the main entrance talking to someone over the phone or something. But stops when he too notices the salt line.
"What is this?" Klaus asks.
Hayden appears behind him but Klaus is unaware of it.
"Guess what, Big Mama's back!" Hayden humorlessly tells the original hybrid.
Later on, almost everyone with the exception of Caroline and Tyler…who's weirdly here as well despite Klaus hitting on his girlfriend again. That fucked up situation is still a thing believe it or not.
In the empty lounge where the vampires and hybrid and overall extras it concerns are gathered.
"Well Esther and Alaric got the drop on me and locked me up here that's how I got wound up in this one. It all happened after Rebekah and I went to get the last white oak stake let's just say I had a gut feeling that Rebekah wasn't acting like herself, and of course I was right like I usually am because of fucking fantastic and all that." the rogue tells the others.
"Hold on a moment, you're saying that my mad and estranged mother, bested you?" Klaus quires, already snickering finding it highly amusing.
Hayden fixed him a severe glare, "Go ahead, why don't you let it out will ya, after all it's not like we got more important things to do at the moment!" Sarcasm and annoyance both laced into his tone.
Klaus throws his hands up in a 'take it easy' gesture, although that damn arrogant smile wouldn't leave his face.
Until Hayden thought of a way to erase it from his ugly mug. "Honestly that's real rich coming from the guy who was dumb enough to be played by his own mom walking right into her cage she had for him, you are really that gullible, wow someone needs a new brain for Christmas this year." Hayden shoots at the original hybrid.
There are a few suppressed snickers at the burn.
Klaus growls and blurs towards Hayden slamming him into the wall making an in indent and roughly shoves his hand into Hayden's gut.
This gets Hayden bent over pain written all over his features.
"Now you listen here, hopefully you remember our deal, if you don't get your hands on that stake then not only will I chop them off but I will make you watch as I have my artistic ways in ancient torture with you nana, and you are informed that every single comment, mockery, irritation, and otherwise nuisance you are to me is another moment you get to watch as I inflict hell upon her if you should fail." Klaus warns clearly fed up with Hayden's whole 'cocky-joker-laid back-asshole' act.
Klaus yanks his hand back out of Hayden's gut as he covers it with his own for a moment before it heals up with his hand covered in blood.
Klaus walks back over to Bonnie.
"What's taking so long? All boundary spells have a loophole." Klaus complains.
Just then Matt walks in, "People are walking right out of the dance past the barrier." He informs the group.
"Well if Matt and I can leave, we could stop Esther ourselves. We just got to find out where she is." Jeremy includes.
Stefan lifts his head up looking at the ceiling. "Suicide, Jeremy." He tells him.
Klaus then blurs and grabs Jamie Bonnie's current soon-to-be boyfriend off the ground by the throat choking him.
"Suicide, would be disappointing me. Now work your magic, witch or I'll start killing people you fancy." Klaus threatens.
Bonnie looks on the verge of a breakdown. "Let him go." She demands.
Klaus shakes his head, "Not until you get us out of here."
"Ah, don't be stupid, Klaus. Bonnie doesn't give a damn about us. The only reason she's helping right now, is to save Caroline and Tyler. If you start killing the people she cares about she'll tell us all to go to hell." Stefan interjects.
The tension in the room is thick. But Klaus finally and reluctantly does let Jaime go.
"Work fast, my patience is limited…very limited, Bonnie." Klaus growls.
"Yep, that's a fact and to make things worse, Esther's Weapon X'd the white oak stake." Hayden tells them.
All the rogue hybrid gets in return is a bunch of blank stares and confused looks.
Hayden looks rather offended, "Weapon X'd…You know like the X-Men, Wolverine, was made indestructible after getting a reinforced metal skeleton and claws?" He quires.
The expression of the others don't change much.
"Wow! Looks like some people need to catch up on their movies, I'll tell ya that for sure." Hayden remarks.
"Wait Hayden what did Esther do to the white oak stake, exactly?" Bonnie asks.
Hayden leans against the desk and runs a hand through his hair taking a deep breath. "Okay, short version is Esther knew that Klaus was able to get Bonnie to unlinked him and the other originals, so she got our twisted minded hunter of a friend Alaric to help her out by giving her his corrupt resurrection ring and melted it down and then bonded it to the last white oak stake so that way next time that thing is dipped in gasoline and shoved up an original's ass it doesn't burst into flames along with them, and can be reused." He explains.
This earns a lot of worried looks from the vampires in the room. Klaus on the other hand looks ready to tear someone a new one from that pissed off expression. Probably because his mom is ahead of him again, and ready to put his ass in the ground.
"Luckily, I might know where she's at." Hayden confidently tells the others.
"They're at the old cemetery, Jeremy and Matt are headed there right now." Stefan finishes. Minutes later in the gym where it is him, Hayden, Caroline, and Tyler.
"You let them go! They're gonna get themselves killed." Caroline yells out to Stefan.
"We didn't have a choice Caroline, we're useless right now stuck in here." Stefan vents out turning his back pacing back and forth a bit.
Caroline obviously sees what's really bothering Stefan, "Hey, she'll be fine. Elena always manages to find her way through this stuff." Trying to offer some comfort.
"Yeah, well I'm just as worried, about not knowing what Esther's up to, she lead Klaus here for a reason. If she succeeds in whatever she's doing-"
"Klaus could get killed…and I die along with him." Tyler finishes for Stefan.
Hayden spins around and raises his hand, "Uh, correct there Lockwood…we die along with him, you may have forgotten that little detail since you've been on vacation for so long." He elaborates.
Tyler gives the fellow hybrid a sharp glare, obviously having a sword or in this case…stake hanging over your head doesn't really help his sensitive side, when death could be coming at him at any moment. Hayden can't really blame him, and a part of him wishes that this didn't happen. And even there's a small part of himself that he blames for not pulling his ass together earlier during Esther's little magical hangover and trying to stop her.
Stefan sighs. "No one's gonna die, okay?"
"Bonnie's still looking for a way around the boundary spell, it's not too late." Stefan encourages.
Hayden arches his eyebrow with his arms still folded. "Hey, Stef. Be sure to let me know when she finds a way out, and I'm gone to settle the score with that original witch-bitch."
Stefan nods. "Sure thing." And with that he walks out the door leaving Hayden, Tyler, and Caroline alone in the empty gym.
Caroline turns around to face her boyfriend and starts climbing up the bleachers to him. "So best-case scenario, Bonnie gets us out of here, Klaus hauls ass to Timbuktu, and you and I will be home free." She tells him confidently.
Tyler of course isn't really enthusiastic at the moment look at the glass half full and all that shit.
"Or we let Esther come and kill him." He states.
Caroline looks at him worriedly, "That's not a best-case scenario. That's not even a remotely acceptable scenario."
"It would be an option if we knew he wasn't the one who turned your bloodline. You'd be safe, at least he'd be gone." Tyler says a little frustration making its way into his voice.
Caroline shakes her head in disbelief. "How could you say that?" She asks.
"Because I'm angry, because I hate him, I should have never let him dance with you." Tyler snaps.
"What were you supposed to do?" Caroline wonders throwing her hands up. "He can't know that you're not sired to sired anymore."
"She's right you know, I'm able to pull it off because I'm an Omega and a Rogue on top of that and when I do tend to piss him off there are certain factors that hold him back, namely his sister as well as being an unwilling asset at times, key word unwilling, although I got a bad feeling that's coming to an end real soon, otherwise he would've put me down a long time ago. But trust me Ty getting a rise out of you, it's what he's counting on, all you'd be doing is just giving the fucker an excuse to mutilate you and then he'd have Caroline all to himself with no competition left." Hayden advises his former bully.
Tyler looks at his former victim with some respect for putting things into a better perspective since he's a little pissed off at the moment to be able to think clearly.
Caroline moves to sit down next to her boyfriend, "Tyler it doesn't matter how many times I dance with him, I love you." She says assuringly pulling Tyler in for a kiss.
If it were any other day Hayden would probably gag and groan at the sight of those two making out but given everything that Tyler has had to give up and leave behind because of Klaus, and as well as Caroline's little stalking issue with him, combined with the shitstorm that's been brewing all day for him…yeah he'll let them have their moment, he knows how precious time is and how much he'll be spending hopefully with his grandma again soon.
Hayden sighs, "Tyler, I ain't gonna tell ya what to do now that you finally got off Klaus' leash, but what I will tell ya is that don't take times like this for granted because sooner or later they'll be gone and if you have the will to make shit happen then do it."
Hayden leaves Caroline and Tyler along with that little pep talk with their thoughts as he heads outside to find Klaus and Stefan waiting to be set loose.
"You know, this is your fault." Klaus tells the former ripper. "You set us on this path, when you released my mother."
"I wonder if revenge will prove worth the cost."
"Oh, I'm done with revenge." Stefan replies. "As far as Esther, we've stopped her before, we'll stop her again."
"We are strange bedfellows you and I, you know all of this reminds me of our time together in the twenties."
Stefan gives him a scoffed laugh, "You say that like I'm supposed to have happy memories about it."
Klaus gives him a slight nod at that, "Well there were moments of real friendship, brotherhood."
"Oh he already has a brother." Damon chimes in from behind Stefan. "Not to be territorial, you know, or anything."
"Oh no, of course. The Salvatore's and their unshakable bond. I wonder what'll happen when Elena finally makes her choice." Klaus quires amused.
"Well no offense but the thing about family is that unless they come from a family that was straight outta hell then I'm willing to think that regardless of Elena that these two knuckleheads will always come back for each other. Because their brothers, their family, and the thing about family no matter how much you try and deny deny deny it they will come back for each other if not being there for each other." Hayden tells the Original Hybrid who actually looks like he's contemplating the Rogue's concept.
Soon enough Bonnie came out "It's done, I can't feel Esther's presence anymore. The boundary spell is broken." The witch informs them.
Damon and Stefan had their backs turned in that time both Klaus and Hayden sped off with a whoosh.
Almost in unison both the original and the rogue hybrid stopped at the cemetery to see Jeremy and Matt along with Elena and…Alaric with the white oak stake in his hand the tip covered in blood and a dead Esther planted face down on the ground with blood slowly leaking out of her back, doesn't take much to figure out someone got the drop on that bitch, good riddance if you ask him.
"Well would you mind being a chap, and give a fellow a hand?" Klaus asks taking his mother's body into his arms.
Hayden chuckles, "You're not that lazy, or luckily, I know what I have to do, I'll get it to you, alright." Hayden whispers.
With a smirk Klaus vanishes into the night.
Hayden already got the run down of what happened from Matt. So short version, Esther wanted a Hunter to match with the white oak stake so she tried to turn hunter Alaric into a vampire-vampire hunter to kill the originals, and good Alaric came back and killed Esther when she tried to kill Matt and Jeremy. But now he's in transition and ain't going to become a vampire and he obviously knows what that means.
It really hits Hayden hard since he doesn't deserve this, aside from the fact that he was a great teacher that took it easy on his grades. Still he was a friend. So Hayden waits in the graveyard with several others who've decided to show up and say their final goodbyes to him. Including Tyler and Meredith.
Alaric gives everyone that same look before going back into the tomb and closes the door.
Hayden knew that Damon had the white oak stake but wanting to respect Alaric final hours he left and decided to come back later after…saying his goodbye to Alaric and get the stake.
It was like 3AM now and Hayden was heading back to the cemetery where Damon was just heading out with the white oak stake in his hand, looking like he's just been through hell. Not really a feelings guy, remember.
Damon gives Hayden a curious and yet confused look. "What are you still doing here, Kerbex?"
Hayden sighs, let's just get this over with.
"I need the stake, Damon." The hybrid requests, holing out his hand.
"Okay, I need to know are you drunk too and just playing with me because, you aren't someone on the list of people I'd trust with this thing." Damon notes waving the stake.
"Well there's special circumstances since my grandmas life is on the line, and if I get louse that stake he'll be out of her hair forever."
"May I remind you that…you made a deal with Klaus, not me so not my problem." Damon shrugs and tries to walk away but Hayden blocks him.
"I'd be happy to make it your problem, if you want pal." Hayden says lowly.
"You know, you're kinda being hypocritical right now Hayden. You gave Elena the third degree for being selfish and getting back to her life and yet when the tables turn, you stoop to selfishness."
"I'm not thinking just about myself, Damon. Alright I'm doing this to keep the people I care about and the only family I have left safe, and you'd know all about that wouldn't you since you compelled Jeremy to take a vacation to Denver for Elena to keep him safe from Klaus, right?" Hayden questions.
"That was different."
"Not from where I'm standing, it ain't."
"Your choice Damon, easy way…or messy way?" Hayden challenges his eyes turning yellow and black.
Damon's turn red and veiny.
The two are about to butt heads when out of the corner of his eye Damon catches Bonnie walking towards them.
Hayden catches Damon's attention on something else and turns to see Bonnie walking right past them.
"Is she sleepwalking or some shit like that?" Hayden asks as the eyes of both guys follow the witch who stops and turns raising her hands and a searing pain shoots through both Hayden and Damon's heads as they fall to the ground calling out her name.
When both the vampire and the hybrid slump to the ground unconscious Bonnie grabs the white oak stake entering the tomb to the motionless Alaric who's on deaths doorstep and punches a hole in her hand with the stake and kneels down to him putting it to his mouth feeding him the blood he drinks out of instinct and then growing veins around his eyes and extending a pair of fangs and latches onto her neck slumping blood up like a kid would drink milk out of a straw completing the transition as Bonnie's body hits the ground and he rises with the white oak stake in hand and give a dark smirk.
Oh this ain't gonna be good.
Sorry for the delay but things were a little hectic this week and plus my motivation was a little burnt out, sorry. The next 2 weeks are kind of like finals weeks so that means assignments/projects are top priority I'll try and get at least 1 chapter for each week but no promises as things change if I do they'll probably be done at the beginning or end of the week before the weekend, again no promises.
I know I said that my goal was 5k per chapter but the thing is sometimes the episodes don't give me much to work with and even my own imagination has limits because while I've seen the show I don't always get the details right and if that happens then that creates an irreversible plot hole that I can't undo or ruins the story.
Usually I like to stick to a first and third person perspective with Hayden, but given how the last episode played out as well as this one it was hard to know where to start Hayden off in this chapter hopefully the place I chose was good enough. Plus it was a nice mix up to focus on the other characters for a change without him being the center of attention.
So I can understand if you guys don't like this chapter as much. Hopefully the next one will turn out better I'll try to work on it later this week.
But I'm taking some time do work and went to go see Black Adam in the theaters. Definitely on the need to see list and highly recommended.
Until next time.
