Zephon's Clan Territory Pt. 2

This place once stood proudly against Kain's empire
When Nosgoth was pure, and had much to admire

However, with time, it eroded instead
The humans who worshipped here, centuries dead

A powerful weapon of metal and stone
This structure was built for one reason alone

For keeping the vampire menace at bay
But here, Zephon's clan is now hidden away

The pipes would once burst a formidable hymn
But now they stand silent, devoid of all vim

With Zephon's descendants now haunting these grounds
The empty space whistled their impotent sounds

Although mesmerized, I would not be distracted
The moment I shifted, the structure reacted

I leapt on the pipes and I slowly ascended
A portal awaits where this rugged path ended

And once I ascended, I shifted once more
There still remains much of this place to explore

I leapt to a ledge that encircled this place
This wasn't the peak, but still far from the base

I followed this narrow path, finding a lever
Perhaps, in some way, it would aid my endeavor

I raised it to lower a panel of wood
So far, it appears to have done little good

I pressed the board down shortly after it fell
Perhaps I must locate another as well

I followed the path all the way to the end
And passed through the door at its ultimate bend

Descending the path knowing not what awaited
A hidden room stands where the path terminated

I shifted once more to the realm of the dead
And passed through the bars to the chamber ahead

Observing an insect before I passed through
I knew the first thing that I needed to do

I scouted this room for a portal and then
I leapt to one corner and shifted again

Approaching the wall, I took hold of a spear
For more than one insect awaited me here

These savages not only strike with their claws
I also must sidestep each thrust of their jaws

I struck one until he was cornered and bleeding
Impaling him, then, on his soul I was feeding

The others pursued me and struck from behind
To quick, sudden blows are these creatures inclined

I brazenly fought to dispatch them as well
Consuming their souls once they fled from each shell

And once I delivered these pests to their doom
I closely inspected the walls of this room

They all were embellished; each one seems to bear
Depictions of villagers knelt down in prayer

Discerning the stones that were scattered about
I needed to move them; I had little doubt

One side of these stones bore a variant hue
Perhaps these distinctions would serve as a clue

It seems I must finish the images shown
I chose to begin with the ruddiest stone

Propelling the boulder with all of my might
I pulled it away from the wall on the right

The stone must not only be turned and then shifted
To rest in the space, it must also be lifted

I tilted the stone so the red side would fall
And face outward once it is thrust in the wall

I hoisted the massive stone over my shoulders
And now there remains just another three boulders

And then I approached the next stone I would move
I turned and propelled it to fill the next groove

A third stone was near, so I clutched it, of course
And pulled it away from the wall with great force

Revolving it to a specific rotation
I thrust the stone into the proper location

And now there is only one stone that still stands
Depicting just one of a villager's hands

Although from the wall, it would be further spaced
I turned it until the hand outwardly faced

I then turned the hand all the way to the left
And thrust the stone forward to fill the last cleft

Completing the images shown on the wall
I felt the ground shake once I finished them all

My work in this section is done, I assume
I shifted and passed through the bars of this room

I battled a sluagh and easily won
And shifted again once the deed had been done

I rose and I passed through the door at the peak
There seems to be one other lever to seek

I followed the path, and I passed through the door
The one I passed over just moments before

I turned and descended the incline ahead
Beyond the next turn, I would cautiously tread

Two insects assailed me right at the base
A threat I had no other choice but to face

However, I had little reason to fear
For one of the corners revealed a spear

These creatures were swift, but my thrusts were much stronger
Impaling them once they could fight me no longer

With both souls consumed and their shells decimated
I leapt to the far end; a lever awaited

I raised the switch, bringing the panel below
No doubt, this would lead where I needed to go

Now finished in here, up the slope, I would run
I passed through the door, knowing what must be done

I leapt to the panel, now that it was there
And suddenly heard a strong current of air

Wherever it leads to extends past my vision
I knew that I must make a faithful decision

I leapt from the ledge without pause or delay
Allowing the current to lift me away
