Here's the third chapter of Lost Tapes Revamped. Now here in this chapter things will get a little interesting.
As for what this one focuses on, well it's pretty much obvious.
But hey, this was part of the plan and the creatures I choose to do and use for this fic.
Also for this story big shout out to King of 2211! Once again a major big help for this story.
(Note this man, even though I didn't do the thing I wanted to add, I felt that it was good enough as it was. And I was fine with it ;)
So without further ado let the horror continue on!
Heheheheheheh..Hahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Chapter 3
Goblins
Goblin also pronounced gobbelin, gobblin, goblyn, gobling, gobelin are mischievous, and usually very unpleasant, vengeful, and greedy creature whose primary purpose is to cause trouble to humankind.
These creatures are the most common type according to European folklore.
Originating from in 14th century and are most prevalent in northwestern Europe, Scandinavia, the British Isles, and the United States. The name "Goblin" is said to derive from the Old French spelling "gobelin". However, it is also rumored to have German, Greek, and Latin roots with an overall negative connotation ("gobelinus" was the name of a devil or demon haunting the country of Normandy). Goblins were first popularized in tales from the Middle Ages.
However, over the centuries numerous times, these creatures are seemingly to be more then just fantasy.
In 2016- A woman named Jasmina in Nicaragua was interviewed claiming that as a child she was kidnapped by goblins, taken away from her home in Monte Oscuro, in west Nicaragua, when she was young. These were her words.
" They appeared one day when I was playing and they took me away.
" They were playing with me and they used this to lure me away towards the hill. They put me in a cave and they kept me there for five days and six nights."
The woman was eventually rescued by her family after they took advice from a local "witch
She was allegedly found by a search team in the same cave where, 15 years earlier, another victim had been discovered after being "abducted" by the goblins.
According to local folklore, the "goblins" or "fairies" live among many of the Nicaraguan indigenous communities. One local said: "Currently there are many of these creatures living in San Silvestre and in Peor Dicho, in Monte Oscuro and in La Gualapa.
There are creatures that science refuses to recognize...
But new technology makes us question what is real...
But if our eyes see it...
If our camera's capture it...
Does it exist?
Enter a realm where fact meets fiction...
Science meets legend.

Goblins
In the late winter of 2016 Johnathon Burns was hired as a night guard for the local museum in his hometown to make a little cash and try to save up for college. But little did he know that a simple night job became a fight for his very survival. These are his tapes.
Time: 6: 15 A.M
A camera turns on revealing a young man around the age of 19 yawning rubbing his eyes just getting out of bed.
" Well...todays the day. I officially start my new job at the museum. "
He picks up the camera and walks out of his room going through one of the halls in his apartment keeping the device on his face. " I really need this job. It's supposed to pay really good; it goes on about four days each week. From three to eight in the morning. " He gets into the kitchen and sets the camera down before he started pouring a bowel of cereal. " I'm honestly not gonna like me having to work at a night shift, but money is money. So fingers crossed that today It'll do me some good. " He turns the camera turns off.
4:01 A.M. Two hours Earlier
Camera #1 turns on in the front entrance as it scans the dark parking lot; being long since vacant... that is, until something darted across from nearby bushes.
Camera #3 flickers on as it first looked to the left, the slowly turns as, much like the entrance; not a soul or vehicle was to be seen anywhere. But as it turned back... something was briefly seen but vanished in a split second.
4: 23 A.M.
Camera #1 flickers on... just in time to see something ram against the the sealed doors! This caused the alarm to go off as whatever rammed against the door ran off.
A.M. INSIDE As Hallway Cam #3 turns on, a lone security guard was inspecting one of the hallways... when the alarms went off. " What the hell? "
The guard gets on his walkie. " Hey, guys the alarm just went off. Do you see what's going on? "
...
A police cam turns on belonging to one of the security guards in the monitoring room. "Hold on a second were checking now." Camera #1 flicks on showing the front entrance, and then he began to flick through the other cameras one at a time before responding back.
"No, we don't see anything from here. Do you Rick?"
"Not a thing. Maybe it's a malfunction. Better let Bob know about it." The security guard in the hall replied back as he went off in the respective direction to shut off and re set the alarm.
7: 45 A.M
A camera turns on showing Jonhathan had just parked outside behind the museum. It was there he was greeted by a man in his late 50's. The young man greets him.
"Hi. Bob? "
"Yeah, that's me. " The older man replied back holding out his hand for a shake. " I take it your Johnathon? " " Yes sir. " Johnathon accepted the handshake.
"Nice to meet you. Ready for your orientation?"
"As I'll ever be."
These creatures first attested in stories from the Middle Ages, they are ascribed conflicting abilities, temperaments, and appearances depending on the story and country of origin, ranging from mischievous household spirits to malicious, bestial thieves. They often have magical abilities similar to a fairy or demon, such as the ability to shapeshift.
The appearance of a Goblin varies quite dramatically depending on its country of origin, although most types of Goblin are known for having quite unruly hair and green-colored skin. What many people don't know is that there are actually 10 different types of Goblin; these types are often referred to as "sub-races" and each sub-race will typically have a distinct appearance and set of abilities. When most people think of a Goblin, what they're imagining is usually the type known as a Trow or a Kobold. Trows have the ability to morph into human-like form; however, they are usually small in stature with an "ugly" appearance. Kobolds are more the stereotypical Goblin, with an appearance similar to the house-elf known as "Dobby" in the Harry Potter series.
Some of the more malevolent types tend to be known as hobgoblins. Hobgoblins are known for their dark, shaggy hair and are most closely related to the mythical creatures known as brownies; they don't mean to cause harm and are widely known for their practical jokes. Hobgoblins also tend to have better relationships with humans. The "Knocker" is quite similar to the hobgoblin in both temperament and appearance; it makes its home in a mine and often befriends human mine workers so long as they stay on its good side. The Phooka is also similar to the hobgoblin in attitude, yet takes the form of a dark black horse. Another black, yet very small, sub-race of goblin is the Bogey; the Bogey is extremely difficult to kill due to its size.
The friendliest Goblin is known as the Hogboon; some say that it doesn't even look (or act) like a Goblin at all! The Tengu is another sub-race which sometimes mimics the appearance of a dog-like Chinese demon, but more often takes the form of a bird. Tengus are respected by Buddhists as guardian spirits despite their demonic nature. The Kallikantzaro derives from Greek mythology and possesses a very long and lean appearance. Lastly, we have the Kol'ksu: a type of Goblin different from most others as it resides in the sea and resembles a mermaid. Unlike a mermaid, however, Kol'ksus are very dangerous and unkind.
The older man showed the new hire around the museum: the exhibits, the loading dock, the basement, the loading dock, each corridor, and around each hallway. Showing him where he was to inspect and how to call for help on the walkie-talkie.
" Remember, we have a secure frequency to contact other security guards and even the police. If you see something peculiar, or spot anyone who's managed to sneak in, don't hesitate to call. " Bob stated as the made their way to the front desk.
As they made their way to the from, Jonathan spotted one of the exhibits; one that showcased many items from medieval Europe with armors for knights and vikings on display.
" Wow...I haven't seen any of this stuff before is it new? "
" Oh yeah, this just came in a week ago. " Bob replied. He gestures to a display case full of jewels behind some glass. " So did these. "
" Whoa...how old you think they are? " " They supposedly date back six hundred years. " Bob answered. " This museum was very lucky enough to acquire rare treasures like this. " Bob motions Johnathon to follow him through a door. " Come on, time to introduce you to the others. "
As they made, there way to the entrance, three more waiting for Bob and Jonathan; two men and one female. "Okay, listen up, everyone. This is the new guard who will be joining us tonight, Jonathan." Bob introduced the young hire.
"Jonathan, this is Rick..." The first man, an African American, came up and shook Jonathan's hand, "How ya doing?"
"Nadine." The woman came up and shook hands with the young man as well, "Welcome to the team."
"And Desmond." Unlike the other two, the man just regarded Jonathan, then snorted. "Don't mind him, he's always in a bad mood."
" Um...nice to meet you too. " Johnathon greeted a bit taken by surprise but already knew he was gonna have trouble with this guy before Bob cleared his throat. " Alright Johnathon, let's get you situated and settled into here. "
8:30 A.M.
After getting a new uniform and the proper equipment Rick was showing him the monitoring room. " Ok man, this will be our main base of operations. We'll watching over you as much as we can. "
"That's good to know."
They began to flick through the camera's seeing this Johnathon hummed in interest. "You know, I don't remember the museum having this many cameras before when I took a fieldtrip here as a kid one time."
"Well that's because it's very recommended as the museums array of artifacts increase, especially items that have a lot of value. Plus, over the last week, there's been signs of somebody trying to break in." Johnathon grew confused. " Break in? Who? "
Rick shrugged his shoulders. "We don't know. We've tried to look through the security cameras, and we got nothing. Till this came up."
The senior guard replays feed from the last few nights, each showed stills of shadows near both the front and back entrances, but, unfortunately; none were able to discern who exactly it was trying to get in. Jonathan squinted to see if he could find a tell-tale sign but could see non due to the quality of the camera feed. "You guys show this to the police."
"Tried several times, but they haven't gotten back to us." Nadine shrugged.
"Doesn't matter, all we have to do is make sure no one gets in. Let's get to work." Desmond pushed past Jonathan.
"Real mature, Desmond!" Rick shouted, only to be ignored.
Bob shook his head, "Sorry bout him. He's a crank, but he takes his job seriously."
The older guard cleared his throat. " Anyways moving on. Tonight everyone be on the ready, whoever has been trying to break into this museum might try again. This time I want three people out on patrol tonight. Ricky will be with Johnathon while I'll be with Nadine.
7:25 P.M.
The security team is now seen in the monitoring room. After many hours of daytime duty, it was now time for the night shift and this was the moment of truth. They were hoping to finally find out who had been trying to break in.
"Alright, this is it. " Bob addressed the room. "Remember, communicate at all times. Got it? " He got multiple responses at once. " Ok, Desmond, you'll take the back side of the building. "
" Understood. " Bob turned over to Rick and Johnathon. " You two, patrol the front area. Remember, be careful. These guys might not even show up but doesn't make it an excuse to lower your guard. "
"Roger that. Let's go." Rick led Jonathan down one hall. completely unaware what they were in for.
8:30 P.M
Desmond was all alone when he inspected the back entrance, his personal camera swaying as he looks through the dimly lit area. "Putting a damn rookie on watch duty on the first night, what a joke. Not like we need the help anyway." The older guard grumbled. It was then that the sound of something knocking was heard; he spun around and looked to the door.
" Who's there!? " He turned on his flashlight shining it over to where the noise came from. Suddenly he heard shuffling coming from the right. He quickly flashed it over in that respective direction only to see it was a mouse running alongside the wall. The guard sighed in annoyance.
"This place really needs to start laying out more traps. " He continues on his patrol.
Camera #4 flicks on revealing a small shadow quickly darting by some crates.
In the monitoring room Nadine noticed this. Bob glanced over to her. " Something wrong? " " Yeah...I don't know... " She started using the controls moving the camera around to see if she could spot it again. But no luck, she reached for the walkie.
" Rick, come in Rick. "
Camera #6 flicks on revealing a western exhibit where Rick and Johnathon were located.
" Yeah go ahead." Rick replied back.
"Hey, listen, I could've sworn I saw something in the basement, you two might want to check it out."
"Alright were on it."
Rick and Johnathon emerge from an elevator and through Johnathon's body cam they started looking around. " So what did she saw? "
" I don't know, she said she saw something, we can't always be to careful. " Rick replied as he turned on the light and began to look around. " Ok, rookie stay close by me. "
" No need to tell me twice. " Johnathon replied back as they started to look around.
Camera #4 flickers on as soon as Rick and Johnathan enter the basement, their torches scanning the darkened area. "This isn't creepy at all." Jonathan remarked. "You get used to it." Ricky shrugged.
The two stayed close together as they searched through the basement, but after a while; neither guard were able to find anything.
Rick took out his walkie and checked in, "Hey, Nadine, you sure you saw something?"
"Yeah, at least, I thought I did." The female guard replied. "May have been a glitch or something."
As they spoke, Jonathan's camera showed that he looked away from the senior guard and looked around,... until he spotted something. He slowly made his way toward what he saw and as soon as he reached the far wall, his suspicion was proven correct... as well as his fears. One of the windows was broken through!
"Rick? Rick!" The younger guard whipped around and ran to the other guard. "Rick!" He gasped.
"What? What's wrong?"
"One of the windows is broken!"
"What?"
"Someone got in!"
Rick rushed over to the said window and saw that there was indeed a hole in it. " Ok, that's not good. "
He grabbed his walkie. " Nadine, Nadine, someone's in the museum. I repeat somebody has broken in. " Back at the monitoring room Nadine turned over to Bob. " Somebody broke in."
"Alright, let's put the place on lockdown. Now."
The alarm went off as the seal doors began to close off the entrances and exits; Camera #2 flickers on in congruent with Desmond's personal camera as he looks around. "Did you see where they went?" He radioed Rick. "Negative. Must have made it upstairs."
As this was going on, Nadine's personal camera came on as he watched the others walking around. Suddenly, she caught sight of more movement, only this time, she knew it wasn't a glitch as more dashed around. What really got her was that some of them were heading to the Loading Bay….. right where Desmond was heading to! Only it went right past him.
Camera#9 flashes on showing the bathroom and it catch's a bit of movement showing the door to the men's room opening and closing shut.
Nadine spoke up from walkie speaking to " Um...Desmond, something just went into the men's bathroom. "
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I'm positive. " She replied back.
"Alright gonna go check it out now. "
Camera #9 flashes on showing that Desmond had just arrived. When he did, the young man brought out a stun baton.
The view switches over to Desmonds body cam. " Hello? Somebody in there? " He slowly makes his way inside opening the door and turning on the lights.
" This whole building is locked down... " He walks inside slowly going past the stalls. " So why don't you just make it easier on yourself and come out? " He didn't get a response and started opening up the bathroom stall doors getting his weapon prepared to strike. He opened another one and there was still no one there.
"Okay, you want to play that way?" He said, no longer in a civil mood as he pushed it open, bit no one was there. He kept repeating this until he got to the last stall….. when suddenly, he heard a deep, guttural growl…..
"What was-" He stopped when he spotted something moving from near one of the stalls. He tried to rush over to see what it was. When he did, whatever he saw it wasn't there.
But then he noticed something in the reflection looming over him from the stalls.
Just as he turned around whatever was on the stall lashed out at him.
At the same time camera #7 comes on showing Exhibit C which displayed artifacts from Japan such as Samurai armor and a couple of weapons.
" Where the heck could this guy be? " Johnathon inquired as he warily kept his eye out for signs of movement. " I don't know...but whoever it is we'll find them soon enough. " Rick replied back. " Look we'll b- "
"AAARRRGGGGHHHH!"
Hallway Cam#3. flickered on as Rick and Jonathan stopped, upon hearing the scream. " What the hell was that? " Johnathon asked while Rick started to run and instead of questioning, he followed his senior.
"That was Desmond!" Multiple Camera's flicker on each showing the two guards running.
"Nadine, Nadine come in! Where's Desmond!? "
"He went over to the men's rest room. What happened?"
"Don't know, but we're on the way." Rick replied as he and Jonathan ran to where they heard the screaming. As they got close, they saw something come out of the restroom.
"Hey! Hey you! " Rick shouted. The figure stopped and looked at the two; growling loudly as it snarled at them. For a brief moment, the guards could faintly make out a humanoid type of creature and some tattered clothes as it turned around and sprinted away.
"Hey!" Rick shouted again as they reached the restroom.
"What was that?" Jonathan asked, disturbed after hearing the figure growl at them.
"I Don't know. Check to see if Desmond's in there, I'm calling this in."
Johnathon's body camera came into view showing what he was seeing. "Desmond?" He tried to call him out, but got no response.
"Desmond? Desmond you there? " He still didn't get a response and opened the bathroom door. Upon doing so gasped in shock stepping back a bit nearly losing his footing. Camera#9 films his reaction and Rick notices this.
"Johnathon? Johnathon what is it? "
Upon doing so gasped in shock stepping back a bit nearly losing his footing. Camera#9 films his reaction and Rick notices this. " Johnathon? Johnathon what is it? "
The senior guard walked in and saw the new what the hire saw; there, laying on the ground in a pool of blood, was Desmond. It looked as though he were attacked by a wild animal, his throat being torn open and his eyes glazed over. Rick's breath became shallow, "Jesus Christ….." He knelt down beside the the man and closed his eyes. "Nadine, Bob, we found Desmond….. he's dead."
Inside of the monitoring room Bob's eyes went wide, as he grabbed the walkie. "What? What happened?!"
" I...I don't know!" Rick replied. " But we think we saw whoever did this! " " Did you identify who it was? A man or a woman? "
" No-No we have no idea what in the hell it was...S-Some kind of animal. " Bob turned to Nadine.
" Is there anything on the video feed? " She rewinds the video footage that showed nothing up till she saw Rick and Johnathon arrive. But when she did there was nothing at all.
" N-No, nothing. There's nothing. The cameras didn't catch anything at all. "
"B-but we just saw someone!" Jonathan exclaimed. "All right, listen, the museum's locked up, so whoever disk it is still around. I want the both of you to continue searching for whoever did this. I'm gonna call in the police."
...
"Roger, over and out." Rick looked to the younger guard, who looked as though he wanted to throw up. "Hey, I know this is a gruesome scene, but I need you to stay strong. Come on, we gotta go."
For the past few centuries and into modern times Goblins have become deeply rooted into fantasy books and modern day popular culture. The idea was that these things always traveled in large groups to make up for their small size. Noteable examples of this include Dungeons & Dragons, Lord of The Rings, including the iconic anime Goblin Slayer.
Many mythical creatures resemble the appearance and nature of a Goblin. Just some of these creatures are elves, fairies, gremlins, ogres, trolls, and gnomes. Gnomes are similar to Goblins in a variety of ways, most noticeably in their appearance: small and stout, with pointy ears, and often a long matted beard. Many people know gnomes as the little ceramic statues that sit quietly in their garden – that is, until they mysteriously disappear. Gnomes, like Goblins, are known to be fond of playing tricks, and actually are rumored to reside in dwellings underground, similar to many types of Goblins.
Fairies are similar to Goblins, primarily with respect to their magical and mythical nature; fairies have special abilities, as do Goblins. Many people know Gremlins as the naughty, mischievous little creatures from the classic 1980s film written by Chris Columbus. Gremlins have a tendency to cause harm just for fun, specifically through dismantling machinery. Goblins are similar to Gremlins in that they're also known for destroying things due to the pure fun of it. Elves, like Goblins, are often practical jokers and possess a similar appearance, most notably on account of their pointy ears. Ogres and trolls have many similarities to one another, but also have many of the same attributes as a Goblin: all are hideous, unkind, and like to cause trouble and they can be very hostile if they wanted to, they'd have no problem in killing someone if they were given the chance.
9: 57 P.M
For the past half hour both Rick and Johnson have looked thoroughly through the museum looking for any signs of the strange creature that killed Desmond. But so far they had yet to been successful
"Nothing. Damn it!" Rick cursed. "We'll, nothing we can do now, let's-"
CRASH! Both turned to one of the exhibits, the recent with the medieval items.
They rushed over to the source of the noise. While on Camera #5 the European Exhibit turns on showing some sort of creature snatching up the jewels of the display that Bob showed Johnathon earlier.
The creature looked over and jumped off the display before disappearing as if it was never there.
Rick and Johnathon had just arrived at the exhibit and looked over to see one of the suits of armor primarily the medieval knight armor was tipped over. " Hey Rick look at this! The jewels are gone! " Rick rushed over to the display case and much to his surprise he saw that there were no signs of damage on the glass at all. No scratch's, no fingers prints, not even a single crack was on it.
" What the hell? How they'd get the jewels from this thing!? " He checked the side and was baffled to see the lock was still intact.
"Nothing was done to the lock either!? "
"Seriously man what the hell is going on here!? " Johnathon asked starting to grow a little nervous.
It was here that a growl was heard, though Rick didn't hear it, Jonathan was close enough; though frightened, he did react.
Rather, he remained calm as he backed up to where he heard the growling. He seemed to look around, as if checking to see if he missed anything... when her spun around, took out his taser, and shot at whatever was hiding from them.
Turns out, his instincts were right when a loud, animalistic roar rung out through the exhibit room. Rick turned, his body cam catching footage of Jonathan getting something that was hiding in the shadows... when it fell to the floor at the frightened new hire's feet.
Rushing to his side, the older guard was now able to see who... or, what, exactly it was. Getting a good look at it, he saw that it was a humanoid creature with green skin and adorned in tattered Medieval clothing.
"What...the hell is that? " From Rick's angle his body cam turned over to Johnathon who to had an astonished look on his face. " I-I have no idea...I never seen anything like before... "
"Look, right there!" They two say a satchel on the floor near where the creature came from, upon inspecting; they saw that it had some of the missing jewelry and gold doubloons! "Hey, Rick... you think that thing..." Jonathon turned back... only to see that the creature vanished!
" What the...where'd it go!? " He started looking around trying to spot it trying to grasp what'd just transpired. "It was just-It was just right here! Where'd it go!? Did you see it move!? " " Hell no! I didn't see it move or nothing! " Rick replied as he looked around some more trying to find the creature that'd disappeared.
Just then... they heard the sound of scurrying. "What was that?!" Jonathan exclaimed.
Camera #8 flickered and showed the two looking around... and shadows scurrying all around them. " Guys? What's happening in there? " Nadine called.
" We found the intruder, but I think there's something else in here! " Rick shouted. Both body cam's showed the two standing back to back, looking around; only for everything to go quiet.
Before they could breath a sigh of relief... the sound of growling enveloped all around them. Grabbing the satchel, Rick and Jonathan backed up tot he entrance of the exhibit.
As they backed, the growling got louder... and the glow of red eyes began to appear in the shadows. Not just one but many. "Oh my god... it's a whole group of them!" Jonathan shouted.
"Run!" Rick screamed out and that's what they did both security guards were fleeing for their lives. And through multiple cameras we see the two of them running with multiple shadows right behind them.
After much running the two of them got back to the monitoring room just in the nick of time and slammed the door shut behind them.
Bob rushed over to them. " Holly molly, what the heck happened out there!? "
Before he could get his question answered there was a series of bangs on the door. It didn't sound to be like one, but multiple. Just as it was about to open Rick and Johnathon put themselves up against it trying to prevent it from opening.
"Nadine quick get over here! " Bob yelled out on the top of his lungs as he and her joined in on the effort. Just in the nick of time too because a small green arm managed to stick it's way through.
Grabbing an electric taser, Rick jammed it into the creature's arm; causing it to roar in pain.
10: 15 P.M.
Having been alerted by the alarm at the museum, a police cruiser rolled up; out came two officers as they approached the entrance
"Think they're inside?" The first officer asked his partner. "Hope so, then maybe we can wrap up this case."
They both walked up to the entrance and noticed all of the metal shutters were closed. " Do you think that there even inside? " The second officer asked. " I don't know. "
" Ok, so we haven't been able to get into contact with these people and we got no way of getting inside. How are we gonna do this? " " We'll go through the back. " The first officer responded as they went around. " Why the back? "
" The emergency exit has a panel that's used to go into the museum when theirs's a lockdown. " He answered just as camera#2 flicked on showing them at the back entrance.
In the control room, the onslaught at the door suddenly stopped when the lockdown seemed to shut down. The banging and roars ceasing not long after. Looking to the monitors, they saw that two police officers entering through the back.
This brought a huge sigh of relief to the four guards as the law enforcers made their way inside. This didn't last long as they spotted the same shadows moving all around the area. Then... one by one... each of the cameras began to go dark! One in particular showed one of the creatures snarled into it before attacking it. Bob snapped out of his shock as he turned on the intercom, "Hello! Can you hear me!?"
" Huh? " The two officers glanced around in confusion. " Did you hear that? " Asked the first officer.
" Listen you both need to get out of here and send in for more back up! Now!"
" What's he talking about? " The second officer questioned before they heard something scurrying to their direction.
The first officer take out his gun, " Who's there?! " Instead of an answer, there was more scurrying, his partner taking out his gun as well, " I said who's there?! " The two looked all around them, but saw nothing as the scurrying happened all around them; when it suddenly stopped.
After a few minutes of silence, both body cams caught the feed of eyes coming out of the shadows. "What the hell?" The second officer gasped as the both opened fire.
From the monitoring room the remaining security guards watched the two officers on the cameras.
"Damn it! Run, you two!" Bob shouted into the intercom.
However, it was soon over as one of the creatures landed on the officers back while another tackled him to the ground and began to claw the poor bastard as he screamed out in pain. Then the guards watched on helplessly as the other officer was overwhelmed, his screams of pain and agony were added until it stopped. Nadine was on the verge of gagging out whatever she had while the others were now terrified.
10:45 P.M.
" We just called the police station, a little while ago, they're sending in more officers, but it'll be some time." Jonathan said somberly. For the last twenty minutes, the four held up in the control room, and for the last twenty minutes; everything had been all too quit.
It was possible that the creatures had gone, but no one was eager to leave and find out. As they waited, they began to formulate a new plan. "What are we going to do? We just can't wait here all night and hope they're gone." Nadine said, scared more than anyone.
Though quiet, Bob spoke up. "We're getting out of here."
" But how!? " Nadine asked. " Those things are still out there! We'll never make it out, the whole place is lockdown! "
" Seriously how the heck are we even gonna get out of here? " Johnathon questioned.
"Because I have no idea." Bob answered before he started to explain. "There's a breaker on the back entrance. That has to explain how the two officers got in." Bob replied, the camera to the back entrance still online.
"That's right! but what if those things com3 back?" Rick asked. Without answering, the oldest guard went to a cabinet and revealed that it had guns inside.
"Here, takes these." He handed hand guns to Jonathan and Nadine and handed Rick a shotgun.
"What? Hey, we're not supposed to use this unless we have-"
"I know, I know, but we have no choice. grab everything and let's go!" Bob said as he grabbed the satchel and grabbed another shotgun.
Exiting into the hall, the four body cams looked around and the coast was seemingly clear. The four made a mad dash down the halls until they made it to the back; Bob looking over the breaker as the three younger guards covered him.
"Hurry up! Hurry up!" Jonathan urged, already scared to be out in the open.
"I'm trying!" Bob said as he fumbled. As he was doing this, the sounds of scurrying and growling were heard as the last good camera caught footage of shadows narrowed in on the guards.
"Oh god!" Jonathan shouted before he and Rick opened fired upon doing so the sound of painful wails and screams were heard.
"There! I got it, let's go!" Bob shouted. Body cams showed the four ran out the door and made their way to a large truck, when Bob dropped the satchel.
"The bag!" Jonathan shouted.
"Leave it! Leave it!" Bob grabbed him and pulled him to the truck as Rick got into the driver's seat. As the four got in, the truck sped out of the parking lot while outside the camera caught dozens of small shadows running through before they ran off.
...
Right after their encounter with these creatures. Johnathon along with Bob, Rick & Nadine arrived at the local enforcement informing them of what had happened.
That same night they found that all the jewels and previous artifacts from the museum had been stolen, although their were no clear signs of robbery. But they did find the mutilated bodies of the two officers that did arrive including the body of Desmond. Although the video evidence the cameras showed seemed enough evidence this case is still open to this day.
While the goblins home turf is in Europe could it be possible that these creatures inhabit the entire globe? This begs the question, do these seemingly nonexistent beings simply exist in stories? Or...do they live among us?

Actually there is a story about Lost Tapes that focuses on Kasai Rex. I've considered some odd things, but the plant idea sounds awesome. It is a good candidate but unfortunately highly unlikely but no less a really cool idea.
