Saanjh paced up and down her room as she waited for a call , looking at her phone every now and then ...
The night grew colder and darker and silent as only the sushing winds could be heard when they gushed through the trees making a eerie sound trailing off like a ghost ...
The room was dimly lit and the transparent curtains blew in a rhythmic manner with the soft winds ...
Saanjh who was tired of waiting for that call and tired of packing up and down finally heaved a sigh and sat with a pout on her bean bag eventually falling asleep as exhaustion and mental stress took upon her
when suddenly... her phone ringed at it's loudest sound only for her to jump up from her bean bag ...
She hurriedly went towards her phone not before hitting her toe at the bedside table finally grabbing her phone
"Hello !" Quipped Saanjh as soon as she picked up the phone
"Kaam ho gaya ... it's done... kal dopahar ... waha hi !" said Kausiki as Saanjh finally laid down on her bed with s satisfactory smile
"Waise iss itni si baat ke liye tune sadiyo laga diye bolne ke liye !" She said irritated
"Haa... jaise woh toh mere chacha lagte hai ..mai bolungi aur woh man jayenge ... milne ke liye do college students se ... nhi matlab Agar hum media hote ya koi reputed log hote toh bhi samajhti ... ye ek ITNI SI baat karne ke liye mai 4 ghante se phone try kar rhi thi ... pata bhi hai aur unhe convince karne ke liye alag time !!! Huhhh!" Said Kausiki irritated later realizing Saanjh on the other end had fallen asleep
"Had hai ... " Of what she told before ending the call smiling to herself
Next day,
Purvi stood at the gate anxious with Saanjh trying to persuade her to go in
"Are yrr kuch nhi hoga...jaldi chalo... bas jayenge aur leave application denge phir aa jayenge ... " Saanjh pleaded
As Purvi nodded for the nth time saying a yes with a no basically marking a plus in air with her head
Saanjh slapped her forehead for the nth time too
"Are di ...agar nhi jayenge toh leave application nhi de payenge phir college se permanent chutti de denge! Samjha Karo naaaaa!" Saanjh said as she grabbed her hand and dragged her into the college campus
As soon as she entered inside ... the students as usual started gossiping about her while she looked down , guilty for god knows why and afraid to face the criticism
Fresh tears slipped her eyes as Saanjh though aware of her state still didn't say anything
But but but ... ye sherni kaha manegi ... sabar band tut gaya aur student ke bhaag phut gaye ;)
As she heard someone saying about her characterless
Saanjh left her hand and swiftly slapped the boy talking about Purvi
While the boy was shocked upon the sudden slap across his cheeks
Saanjh held him from collar and held Purvi's hand from the other hand and again started dragging them
She entered inside the dean's office and literally threw the boy inside while made Purvi stand beside her ...
She took out two letters and handed it to him while the dean was still looking at the boy who by now has stabilized himself though somehow
"Sir ... ye letters ap agar please accept karle toh I will be obliged!" Said Saanjh
"You are Saanjh right ? And you ? Purvi ! Dekho beta ... mai achhe se janta hun ye media ki bekar ki baatein hai ... I believe in you two ... so just be calm ... okay ...Purvi beta himmat mat haro ... you are a fighter girl...ussdin jab Ishita ke papa ne aake hungama machaya you were the one to stand for her first... issilye keh rha hun ... just don't loose hope ! Beta Justice na uss suraj ki roshni ki tarah hai jo ek lambi jhoothi raat ke baad ata hai aur aisa ujala karta hai ki aankein khul jaye !" The dean consoled Purvi seeing her state while Saanjh smiled seeing the bond between them
"Aur bhaukaal queen .. aap ki leave application mai accept kar leta hun par 1 week se zyada nhi ...ok?! Now go and take proper rest " The dean said signing on the application
Saanjh took the application back
"Rest ?! Huh Rest in peace toh Sanaya hogi ab !" She thought
They came out of the office only for the students to gather near them to burden them with questions
Purvi and Saanjh somehow managed to get out from there and quickly got into the cab where Ishita was already waiting
All this while Purvi's mind only raced with the thoughts of Kavin
"Kaash us raat tumne Tanya ko bacha liya hota ! ...toh aaj itne complications nhi barte ... mere confession kam nhi tha joh ab tumhare so called khoon ka bhi arop lag gaya ! Itna toh pata hai ki sab sach samne aa jayega par ye nhi pata ki iske baad humara rishta rahega bhi ki nhi!" Purvi thought as she leaned by the window pane of the car
Ishita rubbed her back to comfort her while she closed her eyes
Atfernoon ,
"Haa ... nikal rhi hun ... ha re ... " Said Saanjh as juggled with her phone and her bag teing up her shoes
She hung up the call
"Saanjh dekh already bohot se siyappe ho rhe hai ... ab neyi musibat mat lana ! " Warned Purvi
Saanjh assured her and hugged her bidding a bye amd left
Here Purvi sat down while thinking about the situation going on
"Ye baat ... phelayi kisne ?! Aur reporters tak pohochi kaise ? Kisine jaan ne ki koshis ki bhi ki nhi ki ye baat sach hai ya jhooth ? aur ...ek ...ek second alibis? ye kon dost hai huamre jinhone alibis di !? " Thought Purvi as she went through the articles that were on the hot topic section nowadays
Suddenly she also realized that Saanjh didn't tell her about what she found
"Isne bhi kuch nhi bataya ... yeh ho kya rha hai ... aur ek minute ... maine kavin se kaha tha na ki woh ACP sir se ek bar baat kare kyunki Tanya ke case main woh investigate kar rhe the ... " Purvi Poved
Here at other side
Kausiki and Saanjh seemed to be pushing each other as they quarelled for the matter of who will go first to meet him
"Tu ja ..." Said Kausiki
"Tu jaaa mai tere peeche hun " Said Saanjh
(Guys ye real incident pe based hai ... ye kausiki humesha mujhe dhakelti thi aur mai isko bhi saath le jaati thi)
"Ek kaam karte hai dono jaate hai ..." Saanjh said as they both went inside the cabin where Mumbai's most sincere , strict and loyal ACP Pradyuman sat on his leather coated chair ...
"Good afternoon sir !" They both wished as ACP nudged them to take their sits
"Sidha point pe aao ... kya bat karni thi !" ACP said as both the girls guloed seeing his no nonsense mode
Saanjh took a deep breath
"Sir Tanya ... Tanya Arora ... Class 12 ... Drug overdose case ... " Saanjh said as ACP Pradyuman jolted up in his seat
"Tum logo ko uss case ke baarein mai kyun jannna hai ?!?!" Asked ACP to which Saanjh slided her phone with onging KaVi fiasco
ACP Pradyuman looked at two of them
"Kavin...kavin khanna ... uska ...uska murder ?" He asked teary eyed while they looked at him confused
"Uhh...woh ... Nhi par ... " Kausiki uttered before ACP stood up making both of them stood up too
"Tum dono kal aao ... " He said not looking at them before he signalled them to leave
They both came outside confused
"ACP sir ka kavin bhai se kya nata hai ?? ussdin jab kavin bhai ke samne ACP sir ka Zikr kiya toh woh bhi ajeeb sa hi behave karne lag gye the!" Said Saanjh as she glanced at the building before leaving
Here at ACP'S side ,
"Itne saal baad... jisse milne ki khwaish maine dil se nikal di thi ... jiske liye mai pathar dil insaan bana ... jiske liye dil mai nafrat paida ki aaj woh phir kyun lautne ki kagar pe hai ?!" Thought ACP glacing at a very old and a dusty photo frame
Is Kavin and ACP related somehow ?
Will Saanjh be able to find out the truth ?
What did Purvi meant when she said about her relation with kavin after the fiasco is over ?
How will Kavin realise his feelings ?
Another heartbreak ? Another truth ? Another painful past ?
