Chapter 20: Episode 18

Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Power Rangers!

With Trevor

Trevor and Brody are currently in the base for the Ninja Steel rangers. Brody was dressing Trevor's wound.

"How does that feel?" Brody asked as he finished putting bandages on Trevor.

"Feels great," Trevor said as he put his shirt back on, "Thanks, Brody."

"No problem, anything for a fellow ranger," Brody said.

Trevor then stood up, "Alright, let's go get Nazara and look for the rest of my team!"

Trevor got ready to run out of the base, but Brody grabbed his shirt.

"Brody?" a confused Trevor asked.

"Slow down, Trevor." Brody said, "There's no need to rush. I'm sure that you team is fine."

"But Nazara took the will to fight from some of them and I'm worried about what would happen if they got attack," Trevor said.

"I know about Nazara already," Brody said.

Trevor's eyes widen at that, "You do, but how?"

"We, older rangers, have been watching over him for a while," Brody said, "We here about him from Andros, the red space ranger, after he detected and powerful source of energy dormient in the Earth."

"How long has Nazara been on Earth?" Trevor asked.

"No idea," Brody said, "But, when we first found out about him, we didn't want to cause a panic since he wasn't doing anything at first, so we kept looking out for him in case he did anything."

"Ok but why would he act now?" Trevor asked

"Well, we know he wants to conquer Earth, so we've figured that he was hurt when he got here and was rested to get some of his power back." Brody said, "He probably could feel the ranger spirit in you and your team and wanted it so he can get his full power back."

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go find skull face and destroy him!" Trevor said.

"Calm down, Trevor," Brody, "We can't just rush at him without some kind of plan."

"I know, but we can't just stand here while he's out there," Trevor said as he clenched his fists, "I'm the red ranger and the leader, it's my responsibility to make sure that we're all safe."

Brody smiled at Trevor, "Spoken like a true red ranger. You remind me of the other red rangers."

"I do?" Trevor asked, shocked.

"Yea, in fact," Brody said.

Brody then told Trevor about all the previous red rangers and how the lead their teams. Trevor listened closely to Brody, taking in all that he said to him.

"Wow," Trevor said.

"Yea, I think you have the potential to be one of the best," Brody said.

"Really?!" Trevor asked excitedly.

Suddenly an alarm went off. They both looked at each other and nodded.

"Let's go get him!" Trevor said.

"Right!" Brody said.

The two red rangers then left to fight Nazara.

With Nia

Maddie had just teleported Nia and her into the cave where the Mystic Force rangers used as their base.

"We should be safe here," Maddie said, "You ok, Nia."

Nia wasn't paying attention to her as she was looking at her morpher, wondering why the screen was dark.

"What's going on?" Nia asked, "What's going on with my morpher?"

"It's not going to respond to you," Maddie said.

"Huh?" Nia said, "What do you mean?"

"Your morpher is connected to the morphing grid as with all of our morphers," Maddie said, "The morpher has deemed that your morpher won't respond to you."

"What?!" Nia said, "But why?"

"You how Nazara can absorb anyone's will to fight?" Maddie asked.

"Yea, but" Nia said, "What, how to you know about Nazara? I've never told you about him."

Maddie then goes on to tell Nia what Brody told Trevor.

"Woah, that's amazing," Nia said, "So, Nazara wants our spirit to fully regain his powers?"

"More than likely," Maddie said, "Since he already has absorbed some your spirits, your morphers won't respond to you."

"But he didn't absorb mine," Nia said, "So, why won't my morpher respond to me?"

"I could tell you, but that's for you to find out," Maddie said.

"What?!" Nia said, "We don't have time for me to figure it out! My friends are in danger, and I need to go help them!"

"Nia, I understand that you're worried but your friends will be fine." Maddie said, "Besides, some of my friends are going to be with them."

Nia began to panic, "I can't calm down! Trevor was hurt, Carson and the others had their spirits taken, and now you're telling me not to worry?! You have got to be kidding me!"

Suddenly she was shot in the face by a stream of water and was sent to the ground. She shook her head and looked over at Maddie who had her Mystic morpher out and pointed at Nia.

"Maddie?" Nia asked.

"Do you not trust your friends?" Maddie asked.

"What?" Nia said, "What do you mean?"

"I mean exactly what I said," Maddie said, "Do you not trust your friends?"

"Of course, I do." Nia said, "But what does that have to do with-"

She was then blasted by water again.

"If you really trust them, then you wouldn't be having a panic attack right now," Maddie said.

"But" Nia started to say but Maddie interrupted her.

"Look Nia, I'm not saying you shouldn't be worried," Maddie said, "You can be worried about them, but you have to have faith in them, also."

"I do have faith in them," Nia said.

"Do you really, Nia?" Maddie asked.

"I do," Nia said.

"Doesn't seem like it to me," Maddie said, lowering her morpher and walking towards Nia.

"What do you mean?" Nia asked.

Maddie made it over to Nia and lowered herself to eye level with her, "Like I said before, I get that you're worried but you're acting like the others can't take care of themselves. What does that say about your faith in them?"

Nia got up and sat on her knees and lowered her head, "That-that I don't trust them."

Maddie nodded her head, "Exactly but do you really feel like that?"

"Of course, I trust them," Nia said, "But after what happened, I can't help but think that the worst is going to happen."

Maddie put a hand on Nia's shoulder causing Nia to look at her in the eyes, "You don't have anything to worry about Nia. Some other rangers are with them, so they'll be fine."

"But" Nia started to say.

"Nia, after all you and your friends have been through, you should have faith in them and trust that they'll be fine." Maddie said.

Nia lowered her head again and thought to herself.

'That's right.' Nia thought to herself, 'I've been through a lot with my friends, so why should I not have faith in them.'

Nia looked up back at Maddie with a confident look.

"You're right, Maddie," Nia said, "I'm still worried about Carson and the others but I'm going to have faith in them and trust them to be safe."

Maddie smiled and brought Nia to her feet, "Very well said Nia. You're a great female ranger, just like all of the others."

"I am?" Nia asked.

"Yep," Maddie said.

Maddie then told Nia about all about the female rangers. Nia listened closely to Maddie, taking in all that she said to her.

"Amazing," Nia said, "There are so many cool rangers."

"Yep, and you could be one of the best," Maddie said.

"Seriously?" Nia said.

"Yes, seriously," Maddie said, "Oh and Nia?"

"Yea, what is it?" Nia asked.

"You mentioned Carson twice, is he your boyfriend?" Maddie asked.

Nia's face went red, "N-no! H-his j-just a f-friend!"

Maddie smirked, "Oh, then do you have a crush on him?"

Nia lowered her hand, still blushing, "Maybe."

Maddie giggled but they both heard an explosion outside. They both looked at each other and nodded. Nia looked at her morpher and the dolphin symbol appeared on it.

"Let's go!" Maddie said.

"Right!" Nia said.

They then ran out the fight Malevia.

With James

James and Damon are currently in a workshop.

"Woah, where are we?" James asked.

"This is my workshop, I was a mechanic on the Astro Megaship," Damon said.

"Astro megaship, the ship you and your team were on?" James asked.

"Yep, the same one." Damon said.

James looked around the workshop in awe, "My brother is going to be so jealous when I tell him about this."

James the thought about his brother and his friends and got worried about them.

Damon noticed and looked over at James.

"You, ok?" he asked.

"Yea but, I'm worried about my brother and my friends," James said.

"Yea, I know about Nazara," Damon said.

"You do?" James asked.

"Yea, we older rangers have been keeping an eye on him for a while now," Damon said.

Damon went on and explained what Brody and Maddie said to Trevor and Nia.

"Wow that's some story," James said.

"Yea, and me and some of the others are going to help you guys defeat Nazara," Damon said.

James started to shake, "Yea, how about you and the others take care of him."

"What do you mean?" Damon asked, "You're not going to help."

"You said it yourself that he can absorb a person's will to fight," James said, "I know that he took mine, and I can't shake this feeling of fear."

"But James you were chosen to be a ranger," Damon said

"I know I was!" James shouted at Damon, "But I can't do it! I'm too scared to die!"

Damon put his hands on James' shoulders, "Listen to me, James. I understand that you're scared, but you were chosen for a reason and personally, I think you're a great ranger."

James's eyes widen, "Really, are you sure?"

"Of course, I do." Damon said, "In fact,"

Damon told James all about the green rangers before him and James listened to everything Damon was saying. Once Damon was done there was an explosion outside.

"Sounds like trouble," Damon said as he stood out, "Let's go!"

Damon ran towards the door but noticed that James didn't move.

"James?" Damon asked.

James had his head down and was shaking. He shook his head at Damon.

Damon nodded and got ready to run out the door.

"James, I'll say this," Damon said, "You were chosen to be a ranger for a reason, and I can tell that you are the perfect chose to be a ranger."

James raised his head and turned and looked at Damon.

"And just because Nazara took your ranger spirit, doesn't mean you can't still fight," Damon said, "You just got to believe in yourself."

With those words, Damon ran out of the workshop. Minutes passed by as James stood there, looking at the door Damon ran out of.

'I'm going to fight!' James thought as he clenched his fists, 'Damon's right. I was chosen for a reason and I'm not going to let Nazara have his way."

James then ran out the door and after Damon.

With Damien

Destructor and some ingots had just appeared in front of Dustin and Damien. Dustin looked at Damien and saw that he was shaking in fear.

'So, the legends of Nazara are true.' Dustin thought to himself, 'His will to fight is gone.'

Dustin looked over at Destructor, "I'm guessing Nazara sent you here, didn't he?"

"That would be correct," Destructor said, "I suggest you get out of my way human trash, unless you want to be destroyed."

Destructor walked forward and noticed the grave and scowled at it.

"Pathetic," he said and stomped his foot on it.

"Dude!" Dustin shouted angrily, "What do you think you're doing?!"

"Only weaklings make graves for fools who lost their lives," Destructor said.

"You better get your foot off the grave right now!" Dustin demanded.

"Or what?" Destructor asked in a taunt, "Who do you think you are, making demands, human?"

Dustin summoned his morpher, "You're about to find out."

"Ninja Storm, Ranger Form! Ha!" Dustin said as he morphed into the yellow ninja storm ranger.

Damien and Destructor looked on in shock at what they just saw.

"Woah," Damien said.

"Another one?!" Destructor said.

Dustin took out his sword and ran at Destructor and the ingots. Dustin made quick work of the ingots and went at Destructor. Destructor tried to slash Dustin, but he blocked and brought Destructor's sword to the ground.

"Who are you?" Destructor asked Dustin.

"I'm the yellow ninja storm ranger," Dustin said.

Dustin then pushed Destructor's sword up and slashed Destructor multiple times and kicked him over to Damien. He rolled on the ground and was about to get up but was struggling to do so. Destructor looked over at Damien.

"You got lucky this time, ranger." Destructor said and left.

Dustin demorphed and ran over to the grave and began to clean it.

As he was doing so, Damien walked over to him and help him clean the grave.

"Thanks Damien," Dustin said.

"No problem, it's the least I could do since you protected me," Damien said.

After they were done, the two rangers are now standing in a clearing.

"I can sense the fear in you, Damien." Dustin said.

"What do you mean?" Damien asked.

"I know that you had your courage absorbed by Nazara," Dustin said, "I can tell that made your fear of death even stronger."

Dustin looked over at Damien, "I get that you're scared but Damien, you were chosen to be a ranger and you have to get past your fear and fight not just Nazara but the evil looming over your world."

"That's easy for you to say," Damien said, "Are you saying that you aren't scared of death at all?"

Dustin shook his head, "Of course not. I'm just as scared of death as you, but I had to conquer my fear to fight and protect the Earth."

Dustin looked off into the sky, Damien did then same, "As you saw but there, I lost one of my best friends in the world."

"Yea," Damien said, "Again sorry for your loss."

"Thanks," Dustin said, "He wasn't just my best friend, but he was also a ranger just like me."

"Really?" Damien asked.

"Yep, he was the red ranger on my team," Dustin said, "He never backed done from any villain he faced, even if it seemed impossible."

"Wow, he must've been so cool," Damien said.

"He was," Dustin said, "Honestly, I can see a bit of him in you."

"Really, you can?" Damien asked.

"Yea, I can." Dustin said, "You're a good ranger, Damien."

Dustin then told Damien about Shane, and about various rangers who have suffered defeats, but faced their fears and continued to fight.

"The main point is that it's ok to be scared of death, but you got to keep fighting to protect the world." Dustin said.

"But what if I mess up and let the others down?" Damien asked lowing his head to the ground.

Dustin walked over to Damien and put a hand on his shoulder, causing Damien to look up at him.

"You don't need to worry about that," Dustin said, "There'll be time times where you'll fail, but that's how you'll get better, and you won't let your friends down."

"You think so?" Damien asked.

"I know so," Dustin said, "You're a great ranger, Damien. I don't think there is anyone who can take your place."

Damien confidently smiled at Dustin, "Thanks Dustin. I really appreciate your words."

Dustin then ruffled Damien's hair, "No problem, little dude! You kinda remind me of my nephew, you know."

Damien then remembered what he was going to asked Dustin earlier, "That reminds me. By any chance, are you related to Addy and Trevor?"

"Oh yea, they're my niece and nephew! How are they doing?" Dustin asked.

"Well," Damien started to say.

Suddenly, a portal appeared behind them.

"What's that?" Damien asked.

"It seems like it's time," Dustin said.

"What do you mean?" Damien.

Two people walked through the portal. Damien was shocked while Dustin smirked at them.

With Carson

Carson and Zach are currently facing Cortes and some ingots. Carson was shaking in fear and was slowly backing away. Zach noticed and looked over at Carson.

'So, Andros was right, Nazara absorbed his will to fight,' He thought to himself.

"Carson, get behind me!" Zach said.

"Don't have to tell me twice," Carson as he hid from the fight.

"And what's a pathetic human like you going to do to me?" Cortes asked.

Zach put his hand behind his back, "Plenty. It's Morphin' Time!"

"Mastodon!" Zach said as he morphed into the Black Mighty Morphin' Power Ranger

"What?!"Cortes shockingly shouted.

"On my god, this is so cool!" Carson said.

"What are you waiting for?!" Cortes angrily asked the ingots, "Get him!"

The ingot ran at Zach.

"Power Axe!" Zach said, summoning his weapon.

Zach ran at the ingots quickly mowed them down with his axe as a few of the tried to jump at him, but he dodged them and destroyed them with his axe. Two others grabbed his axe and tried to get it out of his hands, however it was futile as Zach flipped them over his head and onto the ground. Zach then took care of the rest of the ingots easily.

"You'll pay for that," Cortes said as he attacked Zach.

Zach used his axe block the attack and move Cortes' sword away and slash him with his axe. Cortes tried to slash Zach, but he jumped in the air and changed his Power Axe in gun mode.

"Power Axe, Blaster Mode, Zach said coming down, "Fire!"

Zach fired multiple shot at Cortes, and they sent him to the ground as Zach landed on his feet with his blaster pointed at Cortes who was struggling to get up.

"I suggest you leave now, or this could get real ugly for you," Zach said.

Cortes got up and looked over at Carson, "You were lucky he was here, or you'd never see the light of day again!"

With those words, Cortes limped away from them. Zach put down his blaster and went over to Carson.

"You ok, Carson?" Zach asked as he demorphed.

"That was so cool!" Carson shouted excitedly, "I can't believe that I got to see the original black ranger fight in person!"

"I'm flattered but on to serious business," Zach said.

Carson then had a serious look on his face, "What do you mean?"

"I could tell that you were scared to face the alien that was just here," Zach said crossing his arms.

Carson lowered his head, "Sorry about that."

"Don't worry about that, I know about Nazara and his powers," Zach said.

"Really, how do you know about him?" Carson asked.

Zach told Carson everything he knew about Nazara and how he and the other rangers when monitoring him.

"Woah, you guys were watching him for that long?" Carson asked.

"Yea, we were hoping that he won't stay sleep forever, but we were too naïve," Zach said.

"So, you know that my courage was taken away, right?" Carson asked.

"Yea, what are you getting at?" Zach said.

"Could you train me and help me get my courage back?" Carson asked.

"No," Zach said.

"What do you mean, no?!" Carson shockingly asked, "Am I not worthy enough for you to train?!"

"Of course not," Zach said, "You're more than worthy enough."

"But, then why?" Carson started to ask.

"You don't need me to train you because I think you're a good ranger," Zach said.

"But, how can you say that?" Carson asked, "Nazara took away my courage, how can I fight without my will to fight and get scared whenever I see a villain?"

Zach went over to Carson and put his hands on his shoulders, while looking at him right in the eyes, "Listen to me, Cason, just because you don't have your courage anymore, doesn't mean that you can get it back by training. Courage something you have already you just got to use it."

"But, Nazara," Carson started to say but Zach cut him off.

"I get that, but courage it's something that can be taken away completely," Zach said, "You still have it in you and that's why I think you could be a great ranger without me training you.

Carson's eyes widen, "You really think so?"

"I know so, we all have to find the courage to fight, Carson." Zach said.

Zach then told Carson about the black rangers and the rangers who were able to find the courage to fight evil and stand for what's right.

"Wow," Carson said.

"Yep, and I think you'll be one of the best," Zach said.

"Thank you so much for the advice, Zach" Carson said.

He then thought back to the question he had before, "Oh yea, who are the others you were talking about before."

"Well," Zach said as he pulled a device out of his pocket, "You'll about to find out."

"What do you mean?" Carson asked.

Suddenly, a beam shot on from the device and a portal appeared.

"Woah!" Carson said shocked.

Zach put the device back in his pocket and walked over to Carson.

"Come on, let's go," Zach said.

"Are you sure it's safe?" Carson asked.

"Of course," Zach said, "Trust me."

"Ok, sure," Carson said.

Carson and Zach walked through the portal, leading off to who knows where.

To be concluded
