This is the time the practical examination would be started. In this practical exam, the student would face off against each other with the same dormitory.

Among the three dormitories, the one that would be examined first were the students from The Slifer Red.

Why must Slifer first? Well, it's because among the three The Slifer Red had the least number of student, plus they are the bottom of the barrel, proved by their exam scores (not all of them).

So their examination usually the quickest.

"Finally! You two came!!"

Before the exam begun, a teacher with blond hair and grinning smile walk toward the group of red student.

"It's Crowler!"

"F*ck, what did I do to gain his attention?!!"

"No... he wasn't talking to us"

Proffesor Vellian Crowler then stop in front of two people.

"Signore Kusanagi, Signore Jaden, are the two of you ready for the exam?"

The other Slifer Red students then look out to Jaden and Yuji.

"Ha... it is them again"

"Phew... I thought it would be me"

Hearing his question, Yuji let out a smile, "Of course... I'm ready!" told him, as his Duel Disk begin to expand.

Beside him, Jaden nod, "You bet! I'm itching for a duel" answered him.

Professor Crowler nods his head repeatedly, "Good, Good. Confidence is essential for a duelist to have, and..."

Crowler paused his words, making Yuji wonders, as he noticed his curiosity, Crowler coughed didn't want to continue the previous statement, "Then let's get to the arena, your two opponents are waiting"

Crowler words made Yuji curious, "Huh? Aren't we going to duel each other? Jaden and I, which I mean" asked him.

Crowler touch his mouth, as he chuckles, "Non Non Non. You two won't duel each other"

"Is that so" sighed Yuji. He was so sure that he would face Jaden at the promotion exam, it is also the right chance to prove which the better or stronger HERO user.

"Don't be sour Yuji, we can duel again after this exam is over" said Jaden, as he patted his right shoulder to cheer him up.

"Guess you're right" said Yuji.

Both Yuji and Jaden then get to the arena, when they arrived they were surprised to see the familiar faces.

"Sakura?" asked Yuji.

"Chazz?" asked Jaden.

Crowler giggles when he saw these two expressions, "Kikuyu, Signore Jaden, Signore Kusanagi, let me introduce you... your opponent for this exam.

Mr. Princeton and Signora Sakura!! Please applause!" introduced him, as he's doing a TADA! Bowing gesture to show them the surprise.

On the opposite side, Sakura and Chazz standing together. Sakura folded her arms, waiting for the duel to begun with confidence smile, while Chazz... unlike Sakura, he didn't look very good.

He had a dark circles around his eyes, while his gaze like a rabid dog. Watching closely... his eyes were glassy, like he wanted or already crying. Not only that, his hand (the knuckle part) were bluer than normal.

"Chazz... what happen to your hand?" asked Jaden.

He didn't answer, he glares at Jaden fiercely like he was an archenemy.

"Chazz..." said Jaden, worried.

Crowler then continues, "Signore Jaden would face against Mr. Princeton here, and Signore Kusanagi would be faced against Signora Sakura"

""Why I must face-""

"Sakura?!"

"Chazz?!"

Dumbfounded, both of them asked Crowler at the same time. Still smiling, Crowler answer their questions.

"Signore Kusanagi, Signore Jaden. Both of you're doing very well on the entrance exam, and truthfully... the academy deemed that both of your skill is beyond the scope of your peers in Slifer Red"

He continues, "For that! We decided that it would be fair if you duel against the student from another dorm, and these two accepted such task to bea- I mean dueling you" answered Crowler.

Unlike Jaden who just accepted his answer, Yuji is a bit skeptical.

[Is he joking with me?]

Actually, Yuji already know that Crowler is targeting him and Jaden, and he wouldn't stop until both of them were expelled from the academy.

Seeing his face, Sakura speak, "This isn't like you"

Her words finally gained his attention, "... Sakura?"

"When it's come to dueling you never mind who's the opponent, and here you had a change of heart, why is that?" asked her.

Yuji shakes his head, "No that's no-", before he finished speaking, Sakura casually cut off his words, "FYI, I'm the one who suggest this idea"

"Huh?" Hearing her words, Yuji's eyes twitched, "You maybe wonder why? The reason is simple, I... want to bring you down!!!" shouted Sakura, as she points her Duel Disk toward Yuji.

She continues, "I'm going to pay back for the humiliation you bring me!! Game on, Yuji, don't dilly-dally! Duel me with everything you've got!! Don't you dare go easy on me!!" shouted her.

Yuji were speechless hearing her words, [Humiliation? Did I- oh... Wait... you still salty about "That"?]

The students who hear her words begin to speak, and gossiping about what Yuji do to her.

"Humiliation? Don't tell me he- *gasp*!!"

"How dare he humiliate The White Queen like that, and he called himself a man?!!!"

Yuji let out a sigh, tired of hearing the students talking bad about him behind.

He then looks at Sakura, "As you wish Sakura!!" told him, as his Duel Disk expanded, and booting sounds were heard from it," Now that I think about it, isn't this is the first time I'm dueling you since we've enrolled here? Not counting on the previous Cross duel"

Crowler look at the both of them, then to Jaden and Chazz side of the arena.

"Prepare to wash your neck Yuji! The Me right now is different from the past!!" told her with condensing tone and glaring at Yuji with dagger like gaze.

"Hey, Bring it on!" replied Yuji.

Both sides ready to bury each other.

Grinning, Crowler raised his arm, "Well then, let's today promotion exam begin! On moi mark, Three, Two, One-"

"Here I go Sakura" Yuji put his fingers on top of the mounted deck, "Draw!" passionately draws a card from it.

"First, I summon Elemental HERO Blazeman!"

A fire tornado appears on his field, quickly reveal a blazing HERO.

Looking at the newly arrived Blazeman, Sakura narrowed her eyes

[Using the same routine, huh?]

Yuji continues, "When Blazeman is summoned I can add one Polymerization to my hand", the Duel Disk ejected a card from his deck, then he took it.

"From my hand I activate Spell card: Polymerization" said Yuji, as he put it to the Duel Disk's plate, and at the same time, he also took E•HERO Ocean from his hand and E•HERO Blazeman from the plate.

"Then I send Elemental HERO Blazeman and Elemental HERO Ocean to my Graveyard and fuse them"

A whirlpool of Blue and Yellow energies appears on his back, sucking the two monster into the vortex.

"The HERO who wields the powers of merciless winter and coldest ice, come forth and bring avalanche upon my enemy"

A sudden blizzard appears on his field, accompany by the rising crystal ice.

"Fusion Summon!" Cracks appears on the surface of the crystal, and the blizzard begin raging more furiously than before.

"Lend me your strength! Elemental HERO Absolute Zero!"

The crystal explodes, creating a snowy, cold dust. Gradually, the blizzard and the dust begin to dissipate, revealing an armored white figure who folded his arms like an arrogant person.

Sakura narrowed her eyes, her sharp gaze lock on at the newly arrived HERO.

[As expected of you, in the first turn you manage to bring out a troublesome guy]

"Then set two cards, I end my turn"

Sakura humming, and then draws a card. She looks at the cards, then shifted her gaze toward Yuji's field.

[... There's a high probability that one of the cards is a card with the effect to make Zero leave the field, and the other... if it's not a negate... probably a card to disrupt my play]

"No other choice... I activate spell card: Card Destruction" told her, showing the card to Yuji, "Both players discard as many cards as possible from their hands, then each player draws the same number of cards they discarded" explained her.

Unlike Chazz's Magic Mallet, Sakura's Card Destruction is probably more powerful. Why? Because it can enable the players to set up their Graveyard, rather than just shuffle back the cards to the deck.

"Now, I activate another spell: Dark Hole. Retired! Absolute Zero"

An orb appears on the field, trembling uncontrollably.

Before the orb explodes, Yuji quickly push the button on the Duel Disk.

"Like I let you! Trap activate, Interdimensional Matter Transporter!"

Sakura clicked her tongue, "As I expected...",

Yuji continues, "This card allows me to banish one monster that I control until the end phase"

A Futuristic Machinery Totem appears behind E•HERO Absolute Zero, from the totem a booting computer sound is heard, the body of The HERO begins to glowing, and-

PICC!

A high-pitched sound like a laser was heard, the HERO dispersed into countless particle of light.

With him banished, a blizzard appears on Sakura's field, eroding the ground and air with the coldest temperature.

But with this, the obstacle is gone, this is the perfect chance for Sakura to go for offense until Absolute Zero is back.

"I summon Lonefireblossom in defense position", a plant with fruit/flower resembling a canon ball appears, "At this moment, I activate Lonefireblossom's effect, then called upon one of the plant princesses"

The fruit/flower begin to inflated like a balloon-

"O' my beautiful Princess from the far east land, dance and protect all under your alluring flower and its lovely fragrance"

BOOM!!!

Creating a blinding explosion, and revealing a beautiful geisha surrounded by the dancing Cherry Blossom petals hovering in the air.

"Dance, Talaya!!"

The audience were amazed by her appearance, her beautiful face and those lovely figure makes the male students fell.

Sakura waves her hand, "Now! Talaya!!"

Talaya waves her fan, the flower petals dance and merging together, creating a smooth pink-colored spear.

"Sakura Gaeshi!"

Talaya: Sakura Gaeshi!

PAK! Talaya folded her fan, then pointing it toward Yuji with stern face like Avatar Kiyoshi.

The spear launched toward Yuji, "Reverse card, open", multiple walls appears in front of him like layered cake, "Mirror Wall!"

The spear hit the wall,

CRASH!

It destroyed the first layer,

Talaya: Kuh!

CRASH!!

It destroyed the second one,

CRASH!!! CRASH!!!! CRASH!!!!! CRASH!!!!!!

Like a drill that pierced the heavy stone of earth, Talaya's spear pierced and destroying the glass walls until the last seventh layer.

Each time the spear destroys the layer of walls, the smaller and blunt the spear become.

Sakura didn't reply, she then put a card on the Duel Disk's plate, "Turn... end"

The moment she ended her turn, countless light's particles appears near Yuji, merging and molded into a humanoid figure.

"During... the end phase, Elemental HERO Absolute Zero would- ouch, return from another world" said Yuji, doing a rubbing his stomach.

"I know..." replied her, as she smile.

Sakura closed her eyes, "It'll be boring if you just died in the first round" With a smile on her face, she said, "Mark my word... next turn I will destroy you and your Ace, Yuji!!"
