So... It seems like the story is diverting from its fantasy setting, we will be returning to magical filled highschool life in the future chapters I promise!
Chapter 15: Yukipapa
At the train station...
Hikigaya is laying down in one of the benches provided by the train station, he is wearing an orange t-shirt and a black pants and a pair of sandals with a light novel laying a top of his face so that he'll look like he is sleeping.
"Yukinoshita is 2 minutes late, 30 more seconds and I'll go to the arcade my self" Hikigaya said to himself.
"Oh? I believe your wait is over now Hikigaya-kun" Hikigaya removed the light novel in his face to see Yukinoshita looking down at him, he quickly noticed how cute Yukinoshita is in her white mini dress and a light blue shoulder sleeved waistcoat but decided not to compliment her. (I'm really bad at describing clothing OK? They are wearing what they wore in the season 1 mall scene where Hikigaya first met Haruno in the mall)
"What are you doing Hikigaya-kun?" Yukinoshita asked.
Hikigaya still laying on the bench answered "I am waiting for you".
"Why are you laying down then?" Yukinoshita further asked.
"To prevent some random stranger in sitting beside me" Hikigaya explained.
"Don't worry Hikigaya-kun, everyone who accidentally seated beside you would only take a second to realize their mistake and move away from you" Yukinoshita insulted.
"Hey, how did you know that happened?" Hikigaya shivered as Yukinoshita coincidentally described what happened in Hikigaya in the past.
Giggles "Let's just go, I have better things to do" Yukinoshita started to walk away which caused Hikigaya to stand up and catch up to her.
"Wait! Do you even know where the Arcade is?" Hikigaya shouted as he catches up to Yukinoshita.
"I just don't like having you ahead of me, just give me the directions" Yukinoshita said.
While walking, Hikigaya would constantly look around and distance himself to Yukinoshita, then Hikigaya noticed a group of people approaching Yukinoshita.
"Oh...Yukinoshita-san, what brought you here?" It was Hayama and his gang.
"Hayama-san, I believe that's not something you should know" Yukinoshita coldly replied.
"Really? You're out in a weekend alone? Maybe because of your holier-than-thou attitude" A blonde with green eyes and an arrogant attitude suddenly talked.
"Yumiko..." Hayama attempted to stop the blonde.
"But you were so nice to her and she just gives you the cold shoulder" Yumiko tries justifies her behavior.
"If I correctly remember your name... Miura-san, are you blind? Or maybe the beautifications you have applied to your face has been hindering your sight? I am not alone, I know his presence is low and unsightly but please stop pretending he is not existing" Yukinoshita stated.
"But... You really are alone Yukinoshita-san" Hayama said.
Yukinoshita looked around but failed to see Hikigaya everywhere.
"Hah! Are you so lonely that you created an imaginary friend?" Miura taunted.
Not wanting to be defeated, Yukinoshita started to call Hikigaya. "Hikigaya-kun, let us feel your presence." Yukinoshita said.
"I'm not dead, don't talk like I am a stray spirit!" Hikigaya suddenly appeared behind Yukinoshita.
"Where have you gone?" Yukinoshita asked.
"Well, that's your reputation not mine" Hikigaya answered.
Hayama felt something the moment he saw Hikigaya.
"You've got a different last name, but you two looked a like... Hiki... Tani-san, are you somehow related to Nobunaga Nobume-san?" Hayama asked Hikigaya. (Nobunaga Nobume is the name of Hikigaya's female version, refer to chapter 9)
"No, never heard of that person!" Hikigaya quickly answered.
"Ohh... So anyways, goodbye" Hayama bid farewell.
They, have gone to their separate ways... Well that was the plan, they are walking at the same direction!
"So? Why are you following us?" Yukinoshita asked.
"You are the one following us!" Miura answered.
"We are going to the Arcades" Hikigaya quickly stated.
"You mean the Arcade across the Karaoke bar?" Hayama asked.
"Yeah" Hikigaya answered.
"Hayato-kun~~~I gotta pee!" Tobe who has been quite all the time revealed why he is quiet.
"Yeah, me too, drank too much coffee" Hikigaya said to Yukinoshita.
Tobe quickly ran then called to Hikigaya. "Hikitani-kun! There's a public toilet near us, follow me!"
Hikigaya reculantly followed him and left Yukinoshita.
3 minutes later...
The 2 returned and they continued to walk to their destination...
Ebina Hina, the fujoshi of the group asked Hikigaya and Tobe a question "So? Who has the bigger banana?"
"Heeeh? I... I think mine is bigger!" Tobe tried to answer with a straight face.
"Why would we compare that? And also, we wouldn't see each other's manhood, we didn't pee next to each other, that's like one of the established rules in a man's comfort room" Hikigaya tried to defend.
"Can you please elaborate this rules? I want to write a BL story out of this!" Ebina asked Hikigaya but Hikigaya does not want to answer.
"Ohh! Ohh! Me I've got one!" Tobe raised his hand, trying to get Ebina's attention.
"If you intentionally or unintentionally touched a man in uncomfortable areas of his body, you got to say no homo!" Tobe said as the 2 guys behind him named Yamato and Ooka nodded in agreement.
"WHAT? BUT HOMO IS WHAT LIKE!... But wait... I can use that as a plot... OK, hit me with another rule" Ebina started to create scenarios in her head.
"Hikigaya-kun, are you males ok exposing your but to each others? My Nee-san said that when guys pee in the urinal, they drop their pants" Yukinoshita asked with great curiosity.
Miura laughed.
Yuigahama believed this information and blushed.
Ooka and Yamato smirked.
Tobe got confused.
Hayama chuckled.
Hikigaya is shocked.
Ebina squealed in joy.
"Is that true? You know what? I don't care if that's not true, I'm writing fiction anyway" Ebina screamed and squirted a lot of blood from her nose while Miura and Yuigahama got tissues from their sling bags and covered her nose.
"No, we don't drop our pants when we pee Yukinoshita." Hikigaya answered.
"Wait... We don't... Oh no I wean yeah we don't." Tobe stated.
"I'm not gonna judge" Hayama said.
"Yeah we too" Yamato and Ooka assured Tobe.
"So that's why the other guys were laughing in the comfort room! I thought they were laughing at me for some reason! Also, I'm gonna judge you Tobe" Hikigaya thought.
They continued their silly bathroom talks with Tobe occasionally asking Hikigaya about the do's and don'ts in a public bathroom and reached their respective destinations.
Hayama's gang has now departed for the karaoke bar across the Arcade Hikigaya and Yukinoshita are going for.
The two entered the arcade, a dark place only illuminated by neon lights, phones of the customers, and the lights from the games. The floor is littered by unfinished snacks, wasted juice and trash.
"This will be the first and last time for me to enter an establishment like this" Yukinoshita complained.
"Those guys didn't specify what fighting game we are gonna play so let's just play all of them here" Hikigaya said.
"Of course you'd want to move around a dirty place like this Hikigerma-kun" Yukinoshita said as she follows Hikigaya.
After some walking, they arrived at the game Emperor of Fighters, but someone in a hooded black jacket is sleeping on the player 1 position of the game.
"You said there are a lot of other games like this right? Let's just try the other ones" Yukinoshita suggested.
"No, we are playing this game, this game is newbie friendly and if go away and return to this game later, they might be already a line for this game!" Hikigaya stated.
Well, theres really only 2 valid reason for playing this game, it has jiggle physics in its animation and you can riff off clothing of your enemy! Hikigaya thought.
Hikigaya approached the sleeping man and tapped his shoulder.
"Hey... Let us play... Wake up!" Hikigaya said with a slightly loud voice.
This broke the man's sleep, he bolted out of his seat and shouted "Are we under attack? Prepare our def-... Wait, Yukino?"
The man removed his hood, allowing Hikigaya and Yukinoshita to see his face.
A light skinned man with a defined jawline with a goatee, a pair deep blue eyes, and short black hair.
"Otou-san? What are doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at work?" Yukinoshita asked her father.
"It's weekend Yukino, and I have subordinates to do most of the work" Yukipapa answered his daughter.
"And why are you even sleeping here? Okaa-san might be worried about you" Yukinoshita berated her father.
"Oh? No one could beat me in this game, I defeated 64 people whole night, I got so tired and slept here, also the owner is a highschool friend of mine so he let me sleep here and the only times your mother have been worried about me is when I met your grandparents and every time she would left me with Haruno alone in the house when Haruno is still a kid" Yukipapa answered.
Yukipapa then took a serious look and pointed at Hikigaya.
"It's my turn asking questions now! What's this Yukino? I allowed you to live alone not for this! I don't accept this! Break up with this guy! No boyfriends until your old enough!" Yukipapa asked violently.
"What? No, Hikigaya-kun and I are not like that!" Yukinoshita tried to deny her father's accusations but her reasoning has fallen to unreasonable ears.
"Of course you're gonna deny it! I bet you two are calling each other some lovy dovy nicknames!" Yukipapa thrown another accusation. He then looked at Hikigaya and shouted "You! What's your full name?"
"Uhh...Hikigaya Hachiman sir!" Hikigaya tensed up, surprised by the man's behavior.
"Ohh? I BET MY DAUGHTER CALL YOU HACHI, AND YOU CALL HER YUKI IN RETURN! ANSWER HACHIII!" Yukipapa is losing it.
"Ohh no sir, your daughter would always butcher my name and call me insults like trash, pervert, and good for nothing, also I would fight back and call her some insults too... Please don't kill me" Hikigaya sweats as he answer.
"WHAAAAT? My wife would call me insults too! And when we are young, I would call names to my wife too in hopes of getting her attention!" Yukipapa calmed down but...
He got crazy again...
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME HACHI! I'M SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR ENEMY! BUT NOW YOU ARE TURNING ME INTO YOUR ALLY BY REVEALING THAT WE HAVE GONE IN THE SAME SITUATIONS!" Yukipapa shouted again, but it seems like it's normal for the players here to trashtalk and shout at each other so Yukipapa is ignored.
"Stop this Otou-san, your embarrassing our family" Yukinoshita commanded.
"...Wow, you're starting to sound like your mother" Yukipapa stated.
"And your starting to sound like a 5th grader" Yukinoshita said back.
"Ghk... You really have to be a masochist to survive an encounter with a Yukinoshita woman" Yukipapa likes being insulted.
"So? Why are you with Hachi here? This is the last place you want to be in" Yukipapa asked.
"Well you see" Yukinoshita explained her situation to her father.
...
"My little Yukino finally made friends huh? But someone is planning to take away your hangout place and the only way to stop them is to win against them in a fighting game, definetly a normal occurrence in high school" Yukipapa said to himself.
"Ok, I'll train you two, I'm called the Ice Emperor by the locals you know? I dethroned all of the Big Bosses! But why this game? You two could have just let me sleep here since there is a lot more fighting game here" Yukipapa asked.
"Hikigaya-kun here is the one who insisted on playing this game" Yukinoshita pointed at Hikigaya.
Yukipapa stared at Hikigaya, Hikigaya stared back with sweat running down from his forehead... They just stared at each other then... MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING!
"Oh? Yeah right! The Emperor of Fighters is a really good game!" Yukipapa smiled at Hikigaya, Hikigaya smiled back.
"It has good physics for a fighting game (Jiggle physics animations) and gives the player some certain level of interaction (clothes are riffed off during K.O.s)" Hikigaya and Yukipapa said in unison.
"Why do I feel like you two aren't supposed to meet?" Yukinoshita sighed then approached the game.
Hikigaya and Yukinoshita is now seated in front of the game, Yukinoshita seating on the player 1 seat while Hikigaya is on the player 2. Yukipapa is standing behind them giving instructions but mostly to Yukinoshita.
"Ok, Yukino, the goal of this game is simple, whack your opponents until they were knocked out, but doing so is hard" Yukipapa explained.
"Well, this is a fighting game, please go on" said Yukinoshita.
"There are 5 types of characters here, the Striker, Zoner, Stance, Grappler, and Puppeter. The Strikers are fast, their moves can quickly close the distance against their enemy and can deal high damages and quick attacks but is highly vulnerable to knockbacks, the Zoners are not that fast and heavily relies on ranged attacks, they do moderate damage and is vulnerable at close combats and rely too much on knockbacks, then the Stance, they can be a mix of 2 types, Stance characters can switch fighting styles to further corner an enemy or avoid disadvantages, the next would be the Grapplers, Grapplers are big, tough, and slow, knockbacks are not really effective on them and they deal huge damage in slow intervals and are highly vulnerable to quick attacks, and finally the Puppeters, they are the hardest to use, they are really powerful if mastered, it is like controlling 2 characters at the same time." Yukipapa explained.
Yukinoshita absorbed all of that information then said "Ok, got it, let's put that informations to use then."
They inserted their coins and played.
Hikigaya and Yukipapa looked at each other then nodded in agreement.
"Yukino, I suggest you use this character, her moves are simple to execute but is highly effective" Yukipapa said while pointing on a female half naked kunoichi (female ninja) in the screen.
Yukinoshita obeyed and picked the character her father suggested. This caused Yukipapa to show a thumbs up to Hikigaya.
After seeing the thumbs up, Hikigaya quickly selected a character, the character he chosen is a small old man with a hat, shades and a pair of claws in both hands.
Hikigaya and Yukipapa looked at each other again, and as if they can talk with just looking at each other.
"Both are Strikers, this will be over soon enough" Yukipapa thought.
"Yeah,and since I got more experience in this game, my victory is assured" Hikigaya thought.
"Be sure to land THAT move Hachi!" Yukipapa thought.
After having their imaginary conversation, Hikigaya and Yukipapa looked at the screen now.
Round 1... Fight!
Since Yukinoshita doesn't have prior experience in this game, she pushed each button one by one to see what they do.
But Hikigaya has no mercy, he took this to his advantage, he made his character jump towards Yukinoshita's character, then executed an aerial attack. This aerial attack made Hikigaya's character to spin mid air while expanding its hands with claws.
This move landed on Yukinoshita's character. Since this attack is a multi hit attack, Yukinoshita's character played its being hurt animation repeatedly, making its certain body fats jiggle.
Yukinoshita does not know what to do and just button smashed repeatedly.
Hikigaya continues his combo and depleted Yukinoshita's health bar.
Hikigaya's character riffed off the clothes of Yukinoshita's character.
Hikigaya won round 1.
But as if he already won the whole game, Hikigaya and Yukipapa jumped out off joy. Yukinoshita's face was filled with disappointment, and said "I can't believe what I'm about to say but, I'll talk to mother about this."
"No! Come on Yukino, papa is just teasing you, that's called fan service you know?" Yukipapa tried to ask for forgiveness.
"Well, I'm not a fan of that kind of service!" Yukinoshita is not changing her mind.
"Ok... How many Pan-san plushies?" Yukipapa sighed in defeat.
"I only want one, the beach version of Pan-san that can only be brought in Okinawa" Yukinoshita stated her condition.
"Just don't tell your mother about this OK? Me exposing you to fan service and me slacking on work." Yukipapa seemed for assurance.
"I never break my word Otou-san" Yukinoshita confidently.
Yukipapa then looked at Hikigaya then smiled.
"Hachi, wanna be a part of Yukinoshita family?... You see, I'm the punching bag of my wife, and 2 daughters, if you became Yukino's husband, you'll take half of my burden! All you have to do is to change your last name to Yukinoshita! That's what I did too!" Yukipapa became so happy with his idea he grabbed Hikigaya by the shoulders and said "Let's find a good for nothing boyfriend for my first born too! So that we can even further split being a punching bag of the Yukinoshita women!"
"No thanks! My last name would stay, also if I were to marry someone, I'll take her into my household, I want to be a house husband in my own home" Hikigaya stated and denied Yukipapa's idea.
Yukinoshita don't know if she were to like or hate Hikigaya's answer.
"HAHAHAHA! You want to be a house husband too? You really are one of my people!" Yukipapa let out a laugh and patted Hikigaya on the back.
"But anyways, thanks for being friends with my daughter" Yukipapa formed out a small smile in his face.
"Uhh... Sir, we are not exactly friends, our only relationship is that she is trying to upsurp me of my presidency in our club" Hikigaya said.
"Yeah? Well that's a very Yukinoshita thing to do, my wife and Haruno might have done it once in their life, also don't call me sir, just call me Yoichiro-jiisan" Yoichiro said with another one of his summer like smile. "Ok, let's continue training."
"I won't let you tear the clothes of my character again Hikigaya-kun" Yukinoshita confidently declared.
Somewhere in Chiba in a random arcade...
People are gathering around, watching ecstaticly. They are watching two incredible players fight it out.
Zaimokuza and Hiratsuka is in this duel for a long time now. Their fights always end as a tie. They push the buttons so fast that it seems like they are just button smashing.
"Whoooahhh" The crowd cheered.
But alas, Hiratsuka won, but just barely.
"Not bad Zaimokuza, not bad but the only one who could ever match my prowess is the Ice Emperor but still, not bad" Hiratsuka acknowledged Zaimokuza's ability.
"Let's play again sensei!" Zaimokuza does not know how to give up.
