Eyy.

So, as you may have noticed, I haven't uploaded anything in a couple of months.

This was because of real-life stuff happening on my end, as well as a few changes to my goals.

You see, I came together with a good friend of mine and decided we wanted to work on something. A big project, for which we are both ready to sacrifice 3 to 5 years of our lives for. On the side, I mean. We both still need our jobs, obviously enough.

And for the past couple of months that is what we have been dedicating most of our free time for.

However, we both need to take a break for one reason or the other, and so we are kinda free again. So I came back and wrote Chapter 45.

Now, I'm gonna be honest: I did think of just changing that 'hiatus' status that I attached to my fic to 'cancelled' and just get it all over with.

But I didn't. And I won't.

You see, even if I'm going to spend most of my free time of the foreseeable future on another project, one that isn't 'just' a fanfic, it's not like I'll be focusing on just that.

Since burn-out is a real thing, and I'm not one of those hyper-positive people who think they will gain some supernatural kind of energy and immunity to fatigue if they just believe hard enough they can accomplish something.

I'll no doubt need my breaks.

And writing a fanfic which I am quite attached to and doesn't require 110% of my everything constantly happens to be a great way to relax and turn things down a notch.

So yes, I will be very much continuing with this fic.

It's just that the time between uploads might get longer sometimes, shorter sometimes...Stuff like that.

Then again, I barely noticed a difference in the numbers between June when I uploaded the last Chapter before the hiatus and right now, which is 23.10.2022.

So I guess this message is just for the 10 or 15 people who actually liked this fic and with which I talked a lot with in private messages and stuff like that.

To you two digits homies, I hope Chapter 45 and the ones that will come next meets your needs and that you have a good read.

And hey, it's not all bad.

If you read any other OC-centric Danmachi fic on fanfiction, chances are I helped out with those stories, whatever with just one idea or multiples ideas, or just proof-reading wonky English in general, getting headaches in the process so that you mofos don't have to.

Since I rock like that -_-

So a bit of my "writing" is in other works out there, as well.

You can try to escape me by going to other fics, but you won't succeed O_O

Well, that's about it then.

Until now and December 2022 I should be pretty free, so I'm guessing we might make it to Chapter 48, maybe Chapter 50 before the end of the year.
