CHASING PIRATES
Drabble # 3
"Zoro."
"Hn?"
"We should go back," Nami murmured, patting his shoulder lightly to get him to pay attention to what she was saying. Her voice was a little husky… a result of the kiss her so-called boyfriend decided to randomly pull her into.
"Okay," the green-haired man muttered in agreement before capturing her lips again with his and pushing her against the solid wood shelf that housed dozens of leather-bound books.
Good thing it was sturdy enough. From the way he was hard-pressed into her, they could topple it over in a matter of seconds.
"Mmmm… I said let's go back," Nami managed to say breathlessly against his lips as he continued kissing her.
"U-huh," Zoro agreed. "And I said okay."
"But you're still not stopping. Someone could see us here."
"No one's gonna find us here."
This time Nami pulled away from him and drew back a bit so she can stare at his face.
"And how do you know that?"
Zoro stared at her in a manner that says: she should know the answer to that because isn't she a know-it-all?
She tugged at his hair in retaliation just for that look.
"Oi!" Zoro complained, wincing slightly. "Nobody comes in this area," he muttered as he pressed closer to her, intent on continuing what they were doing. "This is the most obscure part of the second floor."
She cocked an eyebrow at him. How the hell did he know of that? Zoro never liked going to the library. She could count in her fingers all the times he had stepped in there.
It didn't even make it past one hand.
As if reading her mind he smirked amusedly.
"I sleep here all the time," he declared and tugged her face towards him again.
Her eyes widened slightly. Okay… she stand corrected. How come she didn't know about that?
Is this where he is all this time whenever she cannot find his useless ass all around the university?
"Zoro!" She suddenly squealed—a bit louder than she intended—as his lips grazed the ticklish spot behind her ear. Horrified, she clamped her lips together, eyes darting left and right.
His amused smirk turned cocky at her reaction.
"You're supposed to be quiet in the library."
Nami frowned as she slapped him on the shoulder. "I know that!" She side-stepped to pull away from his embrace. "And we're supposed to be to be studying," she reminded him. "Not taking advantage of this isolated area."
"We are. We're just taking a break from all that." Zoro grinned at her.
Nami sighed in defeat. He is right. They've been pouring over their books and notes all afternoon, a break is definitely welcome.
Besides, the spot where they currently at is just perfect for an undisturbed make-out session. Totally concealed yet there was a soft light of the autumn afternoon coming in from the small window a few feet away from them.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, rolling her eyes as she noted the triumphant look on his face.
"Fine. You win."
