Carrie and Allyson get closer. What about Sue? Conflict awaits! Please review!

Allyson made up a bed for Carrie in her room; Carrie took some time to agree to stay the night after Sue's little outburst.

"I'm really sorry," Carrie apologized for the fifteenth time.

"Don't apologize for her, Carrie," Allyson said, digging through her closet to find something for Carrie to wear.

Carrie looked around the room, pictures of all of Allyson's friends and a boy she believed to be her boyfriend, "I think she's under a lot of pressure. I've never seen her like that."

"She's never hurt you has she?"

Carrie's face sank, "Sue would never..."

Allyson returned from the closet with a shirt she put up to Carrie, it was long could be worn as a nightie, a pink shirt with unicorns on it, "Kind of old but should work for you. my mom got it for me years ago."

"Ally, are you in here?"

An older woman poked her head in, she looked very familiar, "Ms Desjardin?" Carrie asked, frowning.

"Huh?"

"Mom, this is Carrie, she's spending the night."

"Oh, hey."

"Hi," Carrie said, a little awkward.

"I have dinner on. Didn't know we'd be having a guest," she said, giving Allyson a look, "But more the merrier. Hope you like stir fry."

Carrie and Allyson both stared at her with blank expressions.

"Ok...See you two downstairs in about 15...," she slipped out of the room, doing a kind of double take, wasn't like her daughter to be up to anything but she had been hanging out with her grandmother an awful lot lately.

Allyson laughed after her mother left, "Well, that was my mother. Sorry, she's always like that."

"She seems nice."

Carrie had her cellphone off, she knew Sue would be worrying, she didn't know what to do, Allyson told her to just ignore her for tonight, she didn't seem to hate Sue, but she was concerned about their relationship.

They went to bed not long after dinner, both were tired and Laurie wanted them at her house the next day bright and early, no way she would tolerate any tardiness; both girls found it hard to go to sleep.

Carrie strained her eyes looking at a glow in the dark poster on Allyson's door about an upcoming Halloween dance.

"Are you going to that?"

"Thinking about it. Though I guess it is sort of inappropriate. So your mother kept you from a lot of things? Would you maybe want to go?"

Carrie hesitated, "Would I have to wear a costume?"

"Well, if you didn't you'd be the only one," Allyson teased, "But hey, I'll help you find one."

"Thank you, Allyson."

"Goodnight, Carrie," Allyson yawned.

The day with Grandmother was more intense than before, Halloween was fast approaching Afterall but there was something else concerning Allyson's elder. Laurie knew something was up with her granddaughter, while Carrie was in the bathroom, she had a chance to talk to her outside.

"What's wrong, Ally?" She said upon seeing how distraught she looked.

Allyson let out a sigh, "I'm just worried about Carrie. Her family situation is stranger than I thought."

She smiled, "Oh? How so?"

Allyson almost laughed, she shook her head, "I don't even know where to begin but this girl Sue is incredibly controlling. No way Carrie can go back to that house. I want to keep her safe. Does that sound weird?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow.

"No," her grandmother smiled, "It's not."

"I know you wouldn't approve but we might go to this Halloween dance."

She was taken aback, "What do you care what I think?"

"Well I didn't want you thinking I was a traitor or something."

Her grandmother laughed, "As long as we kill him I don't care," Allyson was a little relieved until she dropped a bomb on her, "Are you two dressing the same?"

"Why would we dress the same?" Allyson frowned.

"Ally it's ok. I won't tell your mother."

Allyson moved her hair nervously, "Huh? What?"

"I've seen you almost every day, Ally. I see the way you act around her."

Allyson stammered, something she never did, "We-We're j-just friends. W-what are you t-talking about?"

Allyson felt stupid, she felt the need to explain but her grandmother wasn't hearing it. Carrie came back outside and the two shut up about the whole thing and got back to training.

Allyson felt weird at the end of the day, her Grandmother was making her think about things she never thought she would, she tried not to let it burden her. She felt her and Carrie needed a breather, something to take their minds off of things; she knew the diner was off limits now since they might run into Sue but there was a Spirit Halloween set up not too far.

Carrie wondered if it was a good idea or not but Allyson assured her it would be fine, they could even just have a good time trying on costumes. Allyson had a strange feeling getting out of the car, like something was in the air. No one on the street or anything but someone was watching. She led Carrie inside, Carrie jumped when one of those animatronic spiders jumped out at her, she fell backward into Allyson; she found this cute and held onto her the whole way. There was something about Carrie, maybe it was her innocence, everything she looked at was so new to her. She thought maybe she loved her like a sister since she was an only child but maybe her Grandmother was onto something, she did make her feel things she never did when she was seeing her old boyfriend.

When the two girls were looking over witch's costumes they heard someone clearing their throat behind them; maybe it was an employee thinking they were having too much fun laughing and carrying on. Both were shocked to see Sue especially in Haddonfield.

"Sue!" Carrie exclaimed, she grabbed tightly onto Allyson's arm.

"Where have you been?" Sue gritted her teeth.

Allyson got in front of Carrie and stood nose to nose with the tall blonde, "She's been with me."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah. Really."

Carrie wasn't sure where this was going, she didn't want them to fight, she couldn't stand seeing either of them getting hurt.

"Your boogeyman almost killed me yesterday! I've been trying to call!"

"What?" Allyson wanted laugh.

Sue backtracked, "Well, first Carrie's mother did but he actually helped me out with her," Sue rambled, "But that's not the issue! Carrie is in serious danger!"

"Keep your voice down!" Allyson insisted, "You can't just cause a panic!"

"But he's back! People have the right to know!"

Allyson snorted, "No way he attacked you!"

"You don't believe me?!" Sue snapped, this girl truly was against her, Sue turned to Carrie, "Carrie, you believe me, right?"

Both girls looked at her, waiting for a response, of course she didn't want to disappoint either of them, "Well...I..."

Sue groaned and held her head, "The cops didn't believe me either! They know he's still out there! I think he killed Margaret so that's at least one less thing for her to worry about."

"Would you stop this, you're scaring her!" Allyson said, nearly bumping Sue into a vampire display.

Sue grabbed Allyson and pushed her into another aisle; Allyson gave Carrie an assuring look that told her no violence.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Picking out a costume," Allyson said, pointing out the obvious surrounding them.

"What about your masked killer hunt?" Sue scoffed, "I can't believe you, do you even take this seriously?"

"Doesn't mean we can't have some fun," Allyson smiled.

Sue knew what she was doing, she recognized this game, she was looking at some awfully sultry looking costumes, sexy nurse, sexy girl scout, sexy cop, it went on to the absurd.

"Oh? You think Carrie is going to like any of these?"

Allyson gave her a smug look, "She might," she grabbed a random costume off a hook and showed her, some tight disco booty shorts, "I know these will make my ass stick out. That ought to get her attention."

Sue just had to laugh, "You moron! Carrie's clearly a boob girl!"

Allyson got in her face again, Sue stood her ground, "We'll just see about that."

Sue just wanted to strangle her, she lifted her nose up into the air, she grabbed a costume and walked back to Carrie; she didn't even look to see what it was, she just knew she'd kill it. They decided on a friendly competition, they sat Carrie down facing two of the change room doors. Sue and Allyson took their items in knowing they would absolutely blow Carrie away for sure, mixing and matching wardrobes. Carrie waited patiently, not sure what to expect, she didn't really know what this was even all about.

Sue came out wearing a Viking helmet and some kind of red corset that pushed her breasts up and made them seem a lot bigger, enough to make Carrie's eyes keep open; she didn't even notice the short skirt she had on. Sue knew there was no way Allyson could top this. Allyson finally came out of the changing room next to hers, she was wearing a tight top that exposed a lot of her stomach but she had no cleavage, written in glitter on her chest it read: 'DISCO LIVES'. She had these big sunglasses on, a bunch of plastic gold necklaces; just when Sue was about to roll her eyes at this girl for being so tacky, Allyson spun around revealing that her short shorts left little to the imagination. Those sparkly pink shorts really rode up on her, her ass cheeks were nearly completely exposed, and it had to be the shorts that made those cheeks look so pert and round, sticking out like they could make her bounce if she fell down or bumped into someone. Sue shook her head, she doubted Carrie approved of this, when she turned to look at her she had to do a double take, her girl had her mouth wide open, her jaw could was ready to slide all the way down to the floor.

For about an hour this went on, they kept trying to one up each other, being completely petty and not even caring when several employees asked if they were going to buy anything; Carrie tried to speak up about maybe leaving but she went ignored. Sue had on only her underwear on with the Viking helmet, pasties stuck to her nipples and high heeled shoes that made her so tall her head kept banging into the rubber spiders and bats hanging from the ceiling. Allyson didn't go as far with pasties, she thought Sue was going overboard, she had on just her bra, cowgirl boots and leather cowboy pants with her ass completely exposed due to holes in the back.

Once Sue and Allyson were at each others' throats again about who had the costume Carrie preferred they were kicked out by the manager.

"Assholes!" Sue shouted back.

"Way to run a business, guys!"

"Whatever, the Party City has way better buys anyway, they've got cheerleader costumes."

Carrie was a bit red with embarrassment, she never experienced anything like this before.

"So, Carrie," Sue said, finally acknowledging her existence, "Overall whose costume did you like better?"

"Yeah. It was mine, right? The cowboy costume?"

"No! It was my pasties with the Viking helmet, right? I was also thinking of losing the pasties and having a whip cream bra instead!"

Allyson gave Sue a shove, "You copycat! I was going to have a whip cream bra!"

Irritated, Sue shoved her back, "What? Since when?"

It got so heated, both girls pulled on each others' hair, they circled around the parking lot. The manager stood at the main entrance filming them both with their cellphone. "I'm calling the cops!"

After letting out a final shriek, Sue let go of Allyson, Allyson shoved her and they walked off, hand in hand with Carrie. The diner seemed to be their destination, they weren't screaming at each other but they still bickered; Carrie never got angry, she never lost her temper, she wasn't her mother. She pulled her hands away from both girls and stopped them, they both stopped talking, seeing the strained look on the girl's face.

"Stop! Why are you doing this?"

Both had this realization, this moment of shame, they were actually too afraid to look Carrie in the eye, they took to the ground, Allyson scratched her head and stammered.

"We should be looking for the Boogeyman right now! We don't have time for any of this! Tell me what's going on!"

Sue swallowed, she wasn't sure why this was so difficult, "Carrie...I care about you deeply. I...I'm in love with you and well...," Sue bit down on her fingernail, scared to continue when she saw the confused look on Carrie's face.

Allyson decided to butt in, no way this bimbo was going to have Carrie, she took Carrie's hands, "Carrie, ever since that moment we met at the library you're all I can think about. I feel bad for using you...I see now just how special you really are."

Sue used her whole body to push Allyson aside, no way she was taking this moment away from her, "Yes but remember, I loved you first!"

Allyson used her body to shove her back, "Yes! But I'm not selfish like you!"

Sue scoffed, "As if!" She had never sounded more like a valley girl in her life; Chris might actually be proud of her kicking this Haddonfield girl's ass even if it was over Carrie.

"STOP!" Carrie shouted, hands out.

Sue and Allyson discovered they couldn't move, stuck in place like statues, not a nice feeling.

"Stop fighting! I-I...," Carrie needed time to think, "I need to be alone," she waved her hands again releasing them both and walked off down the street.

"Carrie! Wait!" Sue was ready to run after her but Allyson held her back.

"Didn't you hear her?!"

"Get off me, bitch!"

"What is your problem?"

"You!" Sue shoved her so hard she fell on her butt, she actually felt kind of bad about that, she kneeled down and stuck out her hand.

"You're just like her!"

Sue was confused, "Who?"

"Her mother!"

That felt more than just a punch in the stomach, that felt like a knife, she took her hand away, "N-no...I'm nothing like her...H-how dare you," she trembled.

Allyson picked herself up and brushed herself off, "It's bad enough you lie about being attacked by Michael but this is too far."

Sue couldn't control her temper anymore, "I didn't lie, tramp!"

Allyson was aghast, "Excuse me?"

"I'm Carrie's girl! I've been since the beginning! You're just some slut who showed up one day using her to fight your Grandma's monster!"

Allyson knew this girl was a mess, she couldn't find anything out of all that nonsense she just babbled.

"Carrie's girl? You're nuts!" Allyson laughed, but she got confident for a minute, maybe even a little cocky, "Obviously I'm Carrie's girl!"

Both girls had lost all senses, it didn't matter what happened with Michael, both girls were determined to beat the other and claim Carrie as whatever they saw fit.

"You're impossible! Is every girl from Haddonfield this stubborn?"

"Only Strodes," Allyson smirked.

"Ugh!" Sue exclaimed, "You don't really love her! You're pathetic! You're playing games with her! I'm the only one who truly cares about her!"

"By what? Stalking her? Scaring her? Admit it, Sue, you've always been a bully!"

This hurt Sue too, she didn't want to believe any truth to what she said, she continued to argue for what felt like forever, both forgetting where Carrie even went off to.

Carrie walked until she couldn't hear her friends, she didn't understand what got into them. 'Why would they fight over me? Why me? In love? Are they serious?' Carrie thought to herself as she looked down at the sidewalk as she walked, she played a game where she avoided stepping on the cracks, 'Could they really be in love...with me? I never thought about...'

Her thoughts were cut short when she saw two muddy boots blocking her path, she looked up at what could be mistaken for a mountain, there was that white face with black eyes, the one Allyson's grandmother warned them about. Carrie prepared a hand but panicked, the large man grabbed both of her arms and lifted her up, she kicked her feet, she tried to scream but it hardly came out, she thought his hands were going to break her arms.

To be continued!
